Where to begin with the Pimalai? This is comprehensively the best hotel experience I have ever had. We stayed for 5 nights in Koh Lanta as part of our honeymoon trip and the setting could not have been more perfect. From the moment the transfer collects you and whisks you onto the beach arrival by private boat you have the feeling that this hotel is so self-assured in the excellence it serves. We knew we were in safe hands. Every detail has been covered, and thought through for your comfort and convenience. The room TV even carried a channel for PL Football and 6Nations Rugby! Having made good use of the facilities, spa, restaurants, drinks menus, scuba desk, excursions and concierge; the team were endlessly helpful to ensure it was a perfect stay. A special word must go to the staff who were all so friendly and welcoming. They are obviously very proud of the island and the beautiful national park forest that the hotel backs onto, and do their best to reverently share it with you. The hotel’s design ethos really blends into the islands beauty and heritage for traditional crafts using local materials and inspiration. A heartfelt 10/10

What an incredible place in paradise! From the moment you are picked up till the moment they drop you off, every aspect of Pimalai is so well curated with your happiness in mind.
The airport transfer is seamless and stress free. The check in experience is so welcoming, with fresh wet towels, tea, and all the friendly staff one could ask for. From the vehicle entry security guard to the gardeners to the restaurant and spa workers, all of them would greet us with such warmth and friendly smiles.
The rooms, pools, beach, surrounding gardens are very well maintained. I really enjoyed the small touches, all the thoughtful small things they do to make their guests comfortable. Such as unlimited ice water (delivered to you at your sun lounger) when at the pools or the beach. While I never saw a mosquito in our room, they do provide mosquito repellent machines in the rooms. During our welcome, we were given spa vouchers because we were staying for several days (for us, one week). Upon arriving to our room, there was a welcome plate of fruit and fresh coconuts!
Every treatment we got at the spa was excellent, but I will call out our favourite: the Aromatic Oil massage. Incredible!
The fitness center was so well-equipped and spotlessly clean. All the equipment is very well maintained. I enjoyed that there was a water cooler machine but also a jug of ice water infused with aromatics (lime, lemongrass, cucumber, mint, etc) available too. Made the gym feel very elite and spa-like.
The restaurants were a surprising bonus. I assumed we would be venturing out into the town for meals often, but the quality of food was wonderful. Our favorites were the All You Can Eat Surf & Turf night and the BBQ night, both at their Rak Talay beach restaurant.
The included breakfast buffet was especially surprising. They had so many different options, from western style (eggs any style), British (beans and toast), to Asian (congee, Thai noodle bowls), and all kinds of carbs (crepes, waffles, pancakes, doughnuts, multiple types of breads with spreads like Nutella, Vegemite, fruit jams etc). All kinds of fresh fruit and fresh squeezed fruit juices. I was especially impressed with the abundance of it all. Breakfast was from 6:30-10:30AM and even at 10:24AM I saw employees refilling everything, including tall plates of bacon.
Overall the staff very much care about your satisfaction. They will go above and beyond to clear any problems or miscommunications. It’s rare to see this level of service.

We loved everything about Pimalai. The staff are exceptional, professional and very friendly .The resort is in the most beautiful setting. This is a huge hotel though and takes a while to walk between areas and a buggy is needed to go between hillside and beach areas.
Hills Villas superb, everything extremely clean and housekeeping staff excellent.
Excursions superb - Koh Rok & Koh Haa -great experience
Food excellent - outstanding extensive buffet breakfast with eggs etc cooked to order. All evening meals superb - we particularly enjoyed Rice and Spice and seafood on the beach. Easy though to walk along beach to other good places to eat locally.
Beach is sandy and fabulous - I can say one of the best have seen in Thailand. Two huge pools and always an abndance of attended loungers to chose from and so much space. We hope to return.

We chose Pimalai as the venue for our wedding ceremony, and we honestly could not be happier with our decision. The hotel is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking surroundings that made our special day feel truly magical. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff was incredibly helpful, and the level of service was beyond exceptional. From start to finish, the organization of our wedding was completely top-notch. Communication throughout the planning process was extremely prompt, clear, and effortless, which made everything feel so easy and stress-free. The team was incredibly accommodating and happy to change or adjust anything to suit exactly what we wanted. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. A huge thank you goes to Khun Apple, our wedding coordinator, who made everything feel so simple and seamless. She was outstanding on the day and truly went above and beyond. We would highly recommend Pimalai — it is genuinely one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.

We stayed in a pool villa, which was stunning and had everything we expected. The staff were, without exception, very friendly and welcoming. We also enjoyed some great food at dinner, and took advantage of the happy hour at the two bars.
We did think that the breakfast was not particularly good - there was choice, but it wasn’t that extensive and the à la carte portions were small. We also thought some of the cocktails were quite poor, very watery in some cases (too much ice!)
Overall, it was a good experience but the resort felt very busy.
Also, be aware that the resort is quite spread out and it can feel like a lot of effort to get around, especially if you have a room up on the hill. You rely on buggies to get around. Mostly, they are quick to arrive - but it’s like living in a small town, the distance from our room to the beach was a long walk, which might not suit everyone.

The property is dated, and our room was particularly not as advertised. However, when I asked them to change the room, we were given a room on the 19th floor which was newly renovated. They also gave us a cake as they overheard it was my daughter's birthday, and that brought a smile to my face. The staff was courteous, welcoming, and helpful. Breakfast has a massive spread, and they also accommodated a late check-out. The location is fantastic, and overall it was a great experience.

Rooms are spacious. All the facilities work as expected. Breakfast is amazing even for vegetarians. Feels safe and front desk is useful.
In house dining is okayish. Dont recommend ordering pizza(it was not good).

I stayed in the Residence and was initially a bit worried about the renovation, but my room (Grand Suite King) had already been renovated and was in great condition. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive — they prepared everything according to my requests and even helped call my Grab driver to ensure the correct pickup location.
The room was very clean, and I absolutely loved the breakfast, which offered both Thai and Western options.
I highly recommend this hotel!

We had a nice room with a great view. It’s not new but for the price and the location with pool and gym very good.

The establishment was dated but maintained. My room was big and sparsely furnished but must have been grand in its hay days. For the price, it was as good as you’d get for the money. Great location a little walk to the BTS station. It felt quite safe walking around a bit later in the evening and plenty of families still around. Included breakfast was good but it can get pretty crowded at times. I’m booked to stay another week on my return to Bangkok.

RAM Bhole
The hotel is modern and comfortable, and once I got into the room, everything was clean and well set up for a good rest.
When I arrived, there was a wait before the room was ready, as housekeeping was still preparing rooms. Quite a few guests were waiting in the lobby with luggage, so it seemed to be a busy check-in period rather than anything personal. The staff were polite and did their best to manage the situation.
I had an early checkout for a flight, and later there was a small room-service charge that needed to be settled after departure, which was resolved.
Overall, the stay was comfortable and the hotel has a pleasant atmosphere. With smoother coordination around room readiness during peak times, the arrival experience would be even better. I would consider staying again.

I had a very pleasant stay at Samala Hotel. The hotel offers great hospitality, very clean and comfortable rooms, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly, attentive and always willing to help. The location is also excellent, with many restaurants, shops and attractions nearby. Overall a very enjoyable experience and I would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Bangkok.

This hotel was generally good but not worth the price. The location is excellent with great transport links and it’s useful having a 711 next door. The room was pretty good but at ~£69 GBP per night, I had higher expectations. The room wasn’t spacious at all, kettle had significant limescale, one shelf was very dusty and the bathroom frequently had a bad smell. The Wi-Fi also isn’t reliable and I had to use data a lot (I don’t expect super fast speed but I couldn’t even browse sometimes). The TV also had some kind of a bug and it would stop working and act strangely. The hair dryer wasn’t safe to use due to loose wiring and no toothbrush or toothpaste provided. If people think me fussy, please understand, I have stayed in 14 hotels in Thailand and I currently am staying at one for less than half the price that is much better and doesn’t have any of these problems.
The pool is nice but the number of sunbeds is wholly inadequate for the size of the hotel. I also dislike how I was treated at the pool bar. When we ordered food, we had to eat separately as there was a 20 minute gap between dishes ordered at the same time. The waiter asked that I pay when we weren’t even leaving the pool area, didn’t show me the bill. I paid, deciding to trust them, even though it seemed ฿200 more than expected (I had calculated the VAT and service charge). After paying the bill, I decided to look at the menu afterwards and the guy got all funny with me, offered to show me the bill and I just said I was looking at the menu for tomorrow, there was no problem. He thought I was coming to complain but I never said anything, it was very strange. He was also funny with me the next day, showed me the menu and then walked off before I could order so we decided to not order again. I don’t know if people have complained before, run off without paying or if it was some kind of snobbery but I have had 10x better service eating at places for ฿100 so I expect basic respect when paying ฿1800.
I also object to the high deposit of this hotel. Although it was returned to me without issue, most hotels don’t charge a deposit and it’s usually far less. (1/4 of this)
To be honest, I’ve stayed at 4 star hotels before for less and normally, staff treat you practically like nobility ( I don’t expect that but I’m just explaining what people usually get at this price point). I was disappointed with this place. Usually good service and nice surroundings but a few problems here and there and shouldn’t be present at a 4 star hotel at this price. I can’t say it was very bad and to avoid at all costs but I’d look elsewhere.
Phoenix-Zara Whitby
We stayed for 4 nights and had the best time, amazing location, walking distance to trains, bus tops and Terminal 21 ASOK. We received a free room upgrade which made the whole stay even more enjoyable. Very friendly staff, amazing breakfast with a large selection of delicious food. 10/10 would highly recommend, when we come back to Bangkok this is where we’ll be staying!

The hotel, aesthetics and location are nice but unfortunately our room was dirty. Upon walking into our room we noticed hair all over the floor which wasn’t ours and even worse hair all over the sheets and blanket.
It almost looked like duvet cover hadn’t been washed at all. Was filled with hair, makeup and stains- it completely grossed us out. I had let front desk know and asked if the cleaning staff could clean everything and they assured us that they would. When we got back, the room was serviced but they didn’t clean up any of the hair on the floor or change the sheets.
If the actual room was clean and the bed was clean then this would absolutely be a 5 star hotel. The staff were wonderful - especially the front door men!

I had a wonderful experience at the breakfast buffet at Amari Watergate Bangkok. The food selection was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes that catered to different tastes. I really enjoyed the generous spread from fresh fruits and pastries to hot dishes that were flavorful and satisfying. It was a great way to start the day.
What made the experience even more special was the outstanding service. The staff were very attentive, friendly, and accommodating. I would especially like to thank X and Ryan, who went out of their way to ensure guests were comfortable and well taken care of. Their warm hospitality truly made a difference. Eventhough I was alone, they kept me a good company.
Overall, the breakfast buffet was delightful, and the excellent service made the experience even more memorable. I would happily recommend it to anyone staying at the hotel.

Amari Bangkok is a really high quality hotel. The service is outstanding and always ready to help. Our room was also excellent and it had nice view to Bangkok. Only downside about the room was that we were able to hear the noise coming from the traffic at night. In lively city like Bangkok noise is part of the life which is why I didn’t find it too big of a problem. The breakfast had a vast selection of different foods and drinks which was great. The pool area was nice but there could have been bit more beach chairs.
Location is great. There are couple malls next to the hotel and lot of tuk tuk taxis nearby ready to transport you. Only minus is that there’s no train or metro station really close. The nearest station is about 15 minute walk away.
Despite the lack of public transport next to the hotel, I would recommend it to the people travelling to Bangkok. Overall it has everything you need.

My recent stay and business event experience at Amari Bangkok was below expectations.
While the hotel has a strong reputation, service delivery did not consistently match the commitments made during the planning phase. Several requirements that were confirmed in advance were not executed as agreed, which impacted the overall event experience.
For a property catering to corporate and business clients, stronger coordination and follow-through would significantly improve reliability. Consistency in service execution is critical for professional engagements.
Guests should also be aware that the connecting route near the hotel is currently affected by metro construction, which may influence convenience and travel time.
I hope the management addresses these gaps to better align guest expectations with actual experience.

We have been visiting Bangkok about every six months over the past few years, and Amari Bangkok has always been our hotel of choice. As Amari Platinum members who have stayed at several Amari properties, we can confidently say that Amari Bangkok consistently offers the highest level of overall satisfaction.
The staff are professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. The Siraa Club in particular makes us feel truly well looked after. A special mention goes to Ms. Mook, whose kindness and warmth left a lasting impression. She once asked about our experiences at other Amari hotels and took note of the foods we enjoy. To our surprise, those very items appeared during the evening cocktail time later that day (perhaps a coincidence, but a lovely one).
We also appreciated the room amenities, especially the towels, which were exceptionally soft and comfortable.
The only minor issue during this stay was the initial room, which had a noticeable residual smell of smoke. After we raised the concern, the team responded promptly and upgraded us to a more comfortable room. We truly appreciate their professionalism and care in resolving the situation.
Thank you for consistently providing such a comfortable and welcoming stay.
We look forward to returning again on our next visit to Bangkok.

This was my first time in Bangkok, visiting for conference along with vacation, and I stayed at this hotel for 8 days. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable experience.
The reception and call service staff were friendly, professional, and spoke good English, which made communication easy throughout my stay. The hotel breakfast was very good with a nice variety. I would especially like to highlight the Indian breakfast selection — the dosa prepared by the Indian male chef on Level 4 was excellent. I enjoyed it daily and it was truly a highlight of my stay.
However, the hotel’s Thai restaurant was quite disappointing compared to the otherwise positive experience.
I would also like to express my sincere thanks to all the staff, including the ladies assisting at the elevators, housekeeping team, luggage assistance staff, and all other team members who made my stay welcoming and smooth. Thank you to the entire hotel team for the hospitality during my first visit to Bangkok.

The location is fantastic here, just a short walk from central world and not too far from the airport. It’s also close to Nana.
The rooms are spacious and well-furnished though there’s no espresso machine.
The gym is functional but a bit dated and the sauna is great. The pool is okay but doesn’t get much sunlight. They could improve the beds and the pool menu is nice. The cleaners are also excellent.
If you find this for less than $100 a night, it’s a really good deal in my opinion. I travel in five-star hotels worldwide.

I liked this hotel. It was clean, well organized and the staff were helpful. They had a desk specifically to book tours and events, which was very helpful.
It is fairly centrally located and close to Soi 11, but you will probably still want to get a car there. The traffic in this area can be very congested during certain parts of the day, so be aware of those times.
The rooms were nice and have a decent setup. I found the decor was a little dated, but they were fairly spacious. The roof top pool is a very good size, but their gym is one of the largest and most equipped that I have seen at a hotel. There is a roof top bar, which is very convenient.
The breakfast was pretty decent. It was fairly standard, but had a good selection. The price of this hotel was alright, but slightly higher. I would consider staying here again.

This is a very low-key hotel in a great city-centre location. It’s not flashy or over the top — it just feels calm, comfortable, and quietly luxurious.
The location is really convenient. You’re right in the city, but once you step inside the hotel, it feels peaceful.
Honestly, the main reason I chose to stay here again is the restaurant. I genuinely love the food and the overall dining atmosphere. Every time I’ve eaten here, it’s been consistently good, and that alone makes it worth coming back.
The service is friendly and professional without being too formal or intrusive, which I appreciate.

Such a gorgeous hotel. We stayed for 4 nights. The rooms were so perfect for my family. It’s hard finding 2 bedroom rooms. I didn’t snap a pic but the family room had 1 queen bed and had 2 twins. The bathroom was huge, big tub and 2 separate showers and 2 separate toilets. With a great view as well. The staff were very kind and the hotel had this amazing smell always and when they cleaned our rooms. It’s a little farther from all the action about 25 minutes but well worth staying in such comfort at a decent pricing. Would stay again my next visit.

I had a wonderful stay at Lancaster Bangkok. The hotel is beautiful, spacious, and very clean. Its location is extremely convenient - just a short walk from the train station - yet the surroundings remain quiet and peaceful.
The swimming pool is lovely, and the breakfast was tasty, though I wish there were a bit more variety in the dishes. The staff, especially the front desk team and bellboys, were attentive, friendly, and always willing to help.
I also appreciated the complimentary tuk-tuk shuttle to the train station, which was perfect for days when I didn’t feel like walking.
Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would happily return on my next visit.

While there are many features of this hotel that were outstanding (pool access rooms, friendly and helpful staff), it was hard to compare to the amazing location directly across from Karon Beach. We ended up touring multiple parts of Phuket of course, but we spent a ton of time at the beach and just wandering up and down the streets close to the hotel. Lots of food options nearby, and the usual blend of inexpensive touristy trinkets, more upscale options, and bars. Would definitely go back.

We had such an incredible time at this gorgeous facilities! The staff is so professional and go above and beyond to make you feel like you are welcomed there! It is literally 1 minute from the beach and the rooms are super cozy, very comfortable beds, very clean and very well maintained! I would totally recommend this place to stay in Karon beach. Every single staff member greats and smiles when they see you! We absolutely loved our stay and if we are ever back will stay there again! Such a true gem to discover! Thank you so much for making us feel like at home!

We had superior room near the pools and nice fish pond just front of the room. It was nice. Brekfast ok, but not super. Pools are awesome. In the biggest pool you can swim a long way. First time in kata beach so didn’t really know where to stay. This hotel only looked nice on website. It’s old, out dated and needs cleaning and maintenance updates. Huge facilities and one small old elevator. Far from front desk depending on the location of room. Some parts of pool was dirty. Rooftop pool is small but clean compared to main pool. Old, thin towels. Bed and pillows are not comfortable, painful stiff neck and shoulder.Staffs are not very helpful. Oh most important, don’t forget your room key. They will not issue you an other key, instead they will send a house keeping person to go into your room to get a key.(without myself present) For whatever the reason,issuing you an other key is something they can not do. Front desk staffs may sound sweet but basically no information or can’t help you. At breakfast, plates and coffee cups were dirty, stained. Watermelon is good.. Will not recommend this hotel at all. Yes it is about 10min walk to the beach but weather here is always hot and humid so I suggest spend a little more and stay at the beach front hotels please! It is not worth it to stay in this unfriendly , old, inconvenient place. A day after I checked into this hotel and used my credit card to paid, i started to get fraud alert notifications. Same happened to my friend. We used credit card for hotel room charges only but a day later we both started to get fraud charges. Not saying anything to do with this hotel but I thought it was weird. What a coincidence???

Just spent 2 weeks here and I can honestly say it is a great hotel. From check in to departure every staff member was friendly, courteous and professional. The room was great, huge bed and lovely bathroom with a large shower. It was cleaned every day and plenty of bed changes. Pool towels were easily changed each day. If you miss the 5.30 change with the maid, just mention to reception and by the time we came back from dinner clean ones were there. We did not use the pool much as I prefer the beach but they were set in lovely gardens and never seemed that busy. There was also a roof top pool. The beach was about a 10 minute easy walk away . The location is great. Very central and lots of restaurants around. It is currently having some renovation work done but that was not an inconvenience. Breakfast was good, plentyful and lots of choice. There was nothing I could complain about and would definitely return.

The front desk staff is not friendly or professional. The breakfast selection is good but the food quality is poor.
The room smells moldy. The floor needs to be mopped and properly cleaned. The towels are old and need to be replaced.
Overall it’s a disappointment and we definitely won’t be staying here again.

First of all - the staff here is amazing! The reception ladies were so cute with our baby and made us feel very comfortable. Every staff member we encountered during our stay was helpful and kind. The staff here really embodies the Thai culture of kindness - so thank you for that, keep up the great work.
Other than that the hotel is very nice, the room was perfectly clean and specious. It's a few minutes walk to the beach and the main street.
Maybe the only thing to consider while traveling with a baby is that you need to leave the stroller at the entrance as there are quite a few stairs to reach the main building (there you have an elevator) - just to note as it's an inconvenience. But honestly, I would still go there for the staff and the great room :)

One of the highlights was the exceptional customer service. The staff were consistently warm, courteous, and attentive, always going out of their way to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Their genuine hospitality truly stood out and made a big difference especially because we had a 5 year old travelling with us.
The resort is perfectly located, just a short and easy walking distance to Kata Beach, which made daily beach visits incredibly convenient. The swimming pool is another major plus - spacious, clean, and ideal for both relaxing swims and family time.
Overall, the resort offers a wonderful combination of great location, excellent facilities, and outstanding service. It was a memorable stay, and I would happily return on my next trip to Thailand.

Although this hotel is not directly on the beach, the location could not be better. It is only a short walk away, and the area around it is full of great little shops, cafes, and restaurants. Even though our stay was just one night, we were so impressed by how lovely everything was.
The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the rooms were spotless, bright, and very comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly, the beds were cozy, and we even ordered room service which came quickly and was delicious.
The breakfast buffet had a huge variety, from local dishes to Western comfort food, and both pools were sparkling clean and perfect for relaxing. We were also there during Halloween, and the hotel had fun activities and decorations happening around the resort which made the atmosphere really festive.
It might not be a beachfront property, but it truly feels like a resort. Between the friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and all the thoughtful touches I would highly recommend.

We just came back from our vacation that we spent in Chanalai Flora resort. We loved this hotel so much, mainly due to the room cleanliness and nice decor, great pools and first of all, extremly attentive and friendly staff. Really, the people are this hotel's biggest asset: every single staff member we met in the hotel was smiling, waving and ready to strike a friendly conversation. When we asked for something, they arranged it to our satisfaction very fast. However, there were also two things we did not like about this hotel: There was a very unpleasant musty smell coming from the toilet, but I guess in Thailand beach towns this is something that should be expected. Also, the breakfast selection was not very good - both the Thai as well as continental selections were very bland and tasteless. The coffee from their breakfast coffee machines was borderline undrinkable. But those are just minor things, I am happy to give the hotel 5 stars for the overall experience.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel.
Every morning started perfectly with a delicious breakfast and a great variety of options. We also loved spending time by the swimming pool and the beach was just a few steps away which made it even better.
The building is beautiful and the room was clean comfortable and had everything we needed. One evening we ordered a Margherita pizza to the room and it was absolutely delicious
The service was excellent throughout our stay. All the staff were very kind and welcoming especially the reception team

An absolute paradise! We stayed here as a couple and had an amazing experience. The resort has a unique, rustic design that creates such a magical and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable.
The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive to every detail, making us feel right at home. The breakfast spread was delicious with plenty of options. The location right on the beach is perfect for sunsets. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and romantic getaway in Khao Lak!

Unfortunately, the price–performance ratio here is not right at all. By 8:30 a.m., all the sun loungers are already reserved with towels, and with a two-year-old child, you have no chance of getting one. There is not a single person lying there, yet all the loungers are “reserved.” Although there are signs everywhere stating that this is not allowed, neither the guests nor the hotel staff seem to care. The sun loungers by the pool are also very worn out.
The pool area is also disappointing. Nowhere in the description is there any mention of the “water treatment pool.” One of the pools is filled to about 30 cm and cannot be used because the water is treated there.
The breakfast is very substandard for a five-star hotel and is shared with sparrows happily helping themselves at the buffet. We regret having booked such a long stay here. We are very disappointed with the hotel and can only agree with the negative reviews.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The front desk team provided outstanding service — especially Khun Axe and Khun Beer (who I believe is the MOD). They handled every situation with remarkable patience and professionalism.
The security staff and housekeepers were courteous and always greeted guests with warm smiles, which made the atmosphere even more welcoming. The property itself is well-maintained, clean, and comfortably designed, offering a truly relaxing environment.
I requested two wine glasses from room service, which came with a small charge of 100 THB — a minor detail that didn’t affect my overall satisfaction.
Although the breakfast selection could be slightly improved, everything else was excellent. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at OZO Hotel. The rooms are clean, modern, and new, and the breakfast was very good with a nice variety of options.
The hotel has great pools for both adults and children. The beach is only a 3-minute walk away, and right across the road there are many great cafés, massage salons, and a night market where you can enjoy delicious local food.

I was very happy with the 7 days I spent at OZO. It was cleaned every day and the room was cool. It was close to the beach and the surrounding commercial area. We stayed at OZO in low season (September) with our 2 children. We had a great time. The hotel is very close to Kata beach, and over the road from the night markets. There’s also a convenience shop over the road and plenty of massage / beautician shops.
The pools were great, the kids loved the slides and we enjoyed getting pool side lunch most days.
The hotel’s restaurant Prego did amazing food, we went there multiple times.
The kids also enjoyed the movie night, and loved having bunk beds in our hotel room with an English speaking kids TV channel. The kids also loved the breakfast buffet, which was a relaxing way to start the day with lots of choices for them and us.
Huge special mention to Nong, who looked after us so well, and took special care of the kids. She gave us excellent recommendations on close by kid friendly activities like the dinosaur mini golf and petting zoo. Thank you so much Nong!!

We had a very positive stay at OZO Phuket and would highly recommend it, especially for families with young children.
Location & Amenities (10/10):
The location is truly prime.It's just a few minutes' walk to Kata Beach and directly opposite the fantastic Kata Street Market, which we frequented daily for dinners and snacks. The area is also packed with excellent massage shops. Having a 7-Eleven directly across the street and a Watsons pharmacy next door made everything incredibly convenient.
Family-Friendly & Service:
The hotel is brilliantly designed for families.It feels very safe and is fun for kids, allowing parents to relax. The staff are fantastic—attentive, hard-working, and dedicated to guest satisfaction. Our room was perfectly located near the gym and the main entrance, making access easy.
Honest Assessment (The "But"):
It's important to manage expectations:this is not a luxury hotel, and it rightly caters to families on a budget. This is reflected in the breakfast, which offers plenty of choices but is of average quality.
A common issue,which we encountered even in low season, was that the pool chairs were often occupied by towels, making it difficult to find a spot. However, with the beach and other attractions so close, this wasn't a major problem for us.
Verdict:
I would definitely recommend OZO Phuket for families with children under 8.It’s a place where kids can have fun in a safe environment while parents enjoy the incredible local amenities. We will certainly return with our family and friends.

GOOD POINTS:- Beautiful hotel, rooms are spacious & comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Great shuttle bus service throughout day & evening between hotel and sister hotel down the hill. We used this a lot & loved Cafe Kantary both for quality of food & friendliness of staff there.
The little tram down to beach was a very quirky touch & saved a steep walk. Gorgeous beach area.
BAD POINTS:- We had booked a junior suite. It did say in our booking details this was in an annex but it is actually in The Cape Hotel & a significant walk from beach. We managed to upgrade our room after 2 days & got a lovely room in the main hotel & much closer to beach. Our main problem with this hotel was the lack of friendliness...the staff are polite but lack the warmth of other places we've stayed in Thailand. We found this particularly at Bamboo Bar at the beach. We went for drinks at Happy Hour & it looked like they were closing for the day! We did get drinks but they weren't great & the atmosphere wasn't "Happy"
We stayed for 6 nights & although had a good time sadly won't return to this hotel.
So all in all beautiful setting but service not warm & welcoming like we've experienced in other places in Thailand.

Private beach, can take a tram cart from the hotel takes 2 mins. I preferred walking past the villas to get to the beach, it immerses you in nature.
Getting to the hotel the road is quite steep but once you are there everything is connected through walkways.
The spa is amazing must try out. Pony was a really good masseuse and had great conversational skills. Highly recommend
I had the limited sea view room, it came with a balcony, two single beds shoved together to make one massive super king sized bed, more than enough for two people let alone 1. It also came with a shower and a bath.
There are many steps at this hotel so it's not very disabled friendly regarding wheelchair users, if you are able to walk with a stick it should be manageable as there are seats and rest points everywhere.
I also celebrated my birthday at the hotel, they surprised me and brought out a cake and a card. ( I did mention to the hotel previously through email that I would be celebrating my birthday at the hotel)

Very nice Hotel with a private Beach. The water is very clear and a lot of shade to enjoy you time on the sunbeds. There is also SUP and Snorkel equipment to hire. The Staff a the Hotel is very nice, friendly and helpful. They seem to be happy to see you everyday and you can feel their passion. The Breakfast Buffet was excellent! A lot of choices....too many to try them all. All was tasting great and there was always staff available for assistance. The Rooms are spacious and clean. The View is great into the Bay and there is enough privacy. The hole area around the hotel is a bit more secluded and quiet. Very good if you want to escape the busy road of Phuket and relax a bit!

When we checked in the young thai lady was very informative and her english was very good.
(there were westerner staff there as well) my husband and I highly recommend dinning at Cafè Andaman and Breafast as well. It's one of the best breakfast we ever had through our travelling. Chef Nattavut ran his kitchen very well, his food is delicious!! We went to the sunset dinner and the fire dance. We have seen better, it was uncoordinated dance and the food wasn't great. You be better off eating at Andaman Cafè. The little variety shop in the hotel was quiet cheap. Cape Spa and Beauty Salon was exceptional. Highly recommended! The hotel have shuttle bus to Phuket Town, Central Festival Shopping Centre 200 Baht per person return trip. And to Patong Beach 400 Baht per person return trip. Overall we will be returning for another brief stay.

An incredible experience. The rooms are spacious and luxurious with stunning views from the balcony. Massive choice of dining experience - some require dress code. A short walk to the beach will leave you breathless, not from the walk but from the incredible beauty and scenery. The water is only a few degrees cooler than air temperature. We stayed for five days at Barceló Coconut Island, and honestly, we could have stayed for a whole year!
Our pool villa was beautiful and recently renovated — modern, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing.
The food was excellent in every restaurant. We really appreciated the combination of buffet and à la carte options, depending on the day — it kept everything varied and exciting.
The staff were incredibly kind and attentive throughout our stay.

We have just checked out after 10 days at this beautiful resort. I can’t praise the hotel highly enough, our room was absolutely beautiful and cleaned to a high standard daily. All areas of the hotel are great, and the service from the staff was impeccable. All the restaurants on site are excellent, we didn’t have one bad meal. Breakfast buffet selection is great also.
The only thing that surprised me is that if you are not all inclusive, the food and drink prices are quite expensive, very much western prices and what we would expect to pay at home in the UK. However the quality of meals/drinks did fairly represent this and of course factoring in the hotel is on an island.
Overall we had a wonderful stay, and wouldn’t hesitate to come back. We would also recommend this resort to all of our family and friends. Thank you for a lovely holiday 😊

Great resort with really nice clean rooms. We have stayed in a pool Vila and couldn’t find any faults. Nice big rooms with individual bathrooms for each bedroom. The service at the hotel is great. Nice staff always welcoming you with a smile.
Easy to get to the hotel by their own speed boats.
We also had an excursion at Hong Krabi Island booked at the hotel. The speedboat took us from the hotel and brought us back so it was really convenient.
The food at the 4 restaurants was tasty. Our favourite one was Laku beach club. Spent our days and evening’s there.
Overall a great experience for us! We will definitely come back!

Came to the resort with my partner for my birthday - stayed 12 days at the resort and I’m actually quite disappointed. Firstly, this is not a true 5 star hotel, if you are used to that don’t expect that here. Service across the hotel was so bad. Everything here is so inconsistent, one day a waitress might greet you for breakfast one day they won’t. We were mid eating our breakfast when a waitress came over took all our food away that we were mid eating and tried to get us off the table (she did not apologise for making a mistake). Room service would turn up different everyday, missing items, poor communication, again no apology. When we asked to talk to a manager it took 3 days before they sent someone. Room Cleaning was abysmal, they wouldn’t actually clean the room and left dirty cups and plates with food there for 2 days. One day when they came in we asked them to come back later to which they pushed past us and continued Cleaning anyway. Raised these concerns with a manger and that lead to our room actually getting cleaned for the first time after 9 days. Regarding getting to and from the island it’s a bit of a nightmare, boats are usually packed and you sometimes have to wait for the next one, the boats come every hour sometimes every 30 mins. Food at the buffets is not great.
I had private dinner on the beach which looked lovely and is quite expensive but the service was so slow and the food was not good, it was dry and cold. Bugs were everywhere on the beach too. That wasn’t a very special dinner as we had hoped.
Drinks service is so slow, we waited 10 mins at an empty bar for a bottle of water. Incredibly disappointed with the service. I’m very happy we did not do all inclusive.
There are not enough beds in the hotel and it caused guests to wake up early to secure a bed, that was very frustrating.
The only good experience we’ve had at this hotel was the beach club Laku as staff there are better and food is much better ( this is not included in all inclusive).
Theres one worker who’s name is Von who made this stay better, he is so kind, helpful and provided the best service we received in the hotel. He would make all the customers smile and made sure my birthday was special and our stays in the beach club were perfect. Massive thank you to Von!

My wife and I stayed here for nearly two weeks for our holiday in February 2026.
The entrance to the resort is very nicely hidden and away from Ao Nang main street, yet still very close to enjoy its benefits.
The resort itself is beautifully designed, from the main entrance to the bridges between the buildings.
Our room was spacious with the balcony looking over the ground pool and the bed has very comfortable.
But the most important is the level of kindness of people working there. All the employees were always very nice, happy and helpful. Every encounter with them was a real pleasure.

I just had a chance to write a review of our stay at this hotel. We stayed in May 2025, though our original booking was for May 2024 through a well-known OTA. Unfortunately, I had an acute heart attack and needed emergency open-heart surgery, so we couldn’t travel as planned. My husband tried contacting the OTA but we weren’t impressed with their service. Thankfully, the hotel showed great empathy and kindly allowed us to postpone our stay within a 1.5-year period.
When I recovered enough to travel, we finally made it there — and at check-in, we were upgraded to a premium room with a jacuzzi. The room was spacious, comfortable, with a lovely balcony, and the bathroom was big and well-designed.
The hotel itself has a large swimming pool with a pool bar, which was very enjoyable. The buffet breakfast was excellent with many choices to start the day. I especially loved the noodles — they were delicious — and the bakery items were also very tasty.
The location is excellent, surrounded by restaurants and shops, and just a short walk to the beach.
Overall, we had a truly relaxing time. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made our stay memorable. We will definitely be back here again.

Strategically Perfect: Family Luxury in a Prime Location
This hotel masters the balance between relaxation and activity. The rooms are immaculate, and the location—set back slightly from the main road—remains pleasantly quiet. With two pool options, including an exclusive rooftop and a family-friendly main area, every mood is catered for.
A particular standout: the Kids’ Club sets a high bar for childcare and program variety. For those looking to stay active, the gym provides everything necessary for an effective workout. What a wonderful stay at Panan Krabi Resort! I booked the Deluxe Private Outdoor Whirlpool room and it was so worth it. The resort’s conveniently located near restaurants and shops, which was handy to have as everything was within walking distance. We also booked our boat tours through their tour desk reception, which we enjoyed a full day of island hopping hosted by Railay Eco Tours.
The breakfast buffet is fantastic as it offered a wide range of options.
Panan Krabi has two massive pools to choose from - the rooftop pool which is much quieter and offers a stunning view of the limestone cliffs as opposed to the main pool which could get quite busy and all sun beds would be occupied by 11am.
The resort also offers a 500THB per person seafood buffet I believe on Friday - weekend evenings, although we didn’t get to try it looked like a great option to dine at, also featuring a live band.
I also had the pleasure of booking an After Sun 60min massage with a 60min Foot Massage with their partner spa, which offered a complimentary transfer for me as it is located in their partner hotel (Hotel Adam).
The spa was beautiful and the therapists were amazing - just what I needed after a day of touring the islands!
Overall, a pleasant and enjoyable stay at Panan Krabi Resort.

Everything was first class. The staff were excellent, always smiling and courteous, we were spoken to by one member of staff on a regular basis, her name was Rawi, she was always immaculately dressed, very polite, very attentive. Her English was perfect. Like the rest of your staff, she is a credit to your hotel. I have stayed in hotels all around the world and this hotel is up there amongst the best. If I had to criticise anything, it would be that the gym is too small, but that is a minor issue. Thank you

We stayed two full weeks with our family, and everything exceeded our expectations. The lady who took care of cleaning our room did an outstanding job throughout the entire stay — the room was spotless every single day, and her dedication did not go unnoticed.
Breakfast was an absolute dream: incredibly rich, diverse, and well-organized, with options for every taste. It was by far one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had.
The main swimming pool was a solid 10/10, and the kids’ pool with water slides was the cherry on top — pure joy for children and total relaxation for parents.

We had a wonderful experience during our stay at Grand Mercure hotel in Thailand. The location is absolutely spot-on — close to major attractions, restaurants, and activities, yet tucked away just enough to feel peaceful and relaxing. It made getting around with our toddler really easy.
What truly stood out was the hospitality of the staff. They were warm, attentive, and went out of their way to accommodate our requests, whether it was heating up food or helping with small needs at odd hours. The availability of food overnight was a huge plus, and we especially enjoyed the specials by the pool — the burgers were delicious! The breakfast buffet also offered a fantastic variety to start the day right including vegetarian Indian food.
The swimming pool is amazing, and we spent quite a bit of time there as a family. We also used the kids room and showers next to spa area. The amenities are well thought out and modern, which made the stay comfortable. While the rooms are slightly on the smaller side and the balcony space is very limited, these were minor trade-offs compared to everything else the hotel offers.
Overall, as a couple traveling with a toddler, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for convenience, comfort, and truly welcoming service.

My stay at Grand Mercure Phuket Patong turned into something far more meaningful than just a holiday — it became a true example of what genuine hospitality looks like.
Unfortunately, I became very unwell during my stay and was extremely weak and fragile. What could have been a very stressful experience was handled with such compassion and professionalism by the entire team.
The hotel immediately arranged for a doctor to come directly to my villa (Villa 911), which brought me immense relief and comfort. I will always be grateful for how quickly and efficiently they responded.
A heartfelt thank you to Sita, Assistant Front Office Manager, who went above and beyond. She personally checked on me and thoughtfully sent porridge and crackers to my villa knowing I could barely eat. That simple act of care meant so much during a vulnerable moment.

We stayed on an all exclusive package and have to say the food was excellent with a huge range that was different everyday.
The hotel staff were all very nice,very polite and very attentive.
The hotel is right on the beach.
Rooms are large and cleaned everyday.
One issue is sunbeds, get down to the pool after 9am and towels left out but no one visits all day. Staff try their best to manage this but unfortunately a lot of the hotel residents were very selfish and rude.
That said, I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Kata beach.

We had a great stay. No major issues. We were originally checked in by San at the reception and she was awesome and very welcoming. Anytime she saw us in the hallway she would ask how everything was going and made suggestions for outings. We did get a complimentary upgrade on the room. The room was great, but the beds were pretty firm/hard. We had the deluxe pool access right outside our room. The breakfast buffet was nice, was not a big fan of dinner buffet. The other guests looked older, maybe +50. Not really a younger crowd at this hotel. The location is perfect. Lots of shops and other restaurants within walking distance. I would more than likely return when I come back to Phuket

The hotel was very nice and we had a pleasant stay. The only downside is that we were suppose to stay in a Seaview room, but I can only call the room that we got "partial seaview" at best. Almost had to climb out to see the ocean, because we could only see the pool from inside. We noticed that our room (on the second floor, at the furthest end) was the room room that did not have an additional windows on the outside wall either. The other rooms above us had a window so that it was easier to see the sea when you're on the balcony. We did not.
Felt a bit cheated and scammed. I guess the hotel was fully booked since it was high season (we did book about 2 months in advance tho, so still confused why we got that room), but I wouldve appreciated being told before hand. So no, im not happy with the room. Im happy with everything else, but not the partial seaview room.

Review: Beyond Kata / Beyond Resort (Phuket)
We are staying here for four nights and unfortunately had a very poor experience, especially considering the premium price of this resort.
The room itself is beautiful. We booked a Superior/Deluxe sea view room, and the accommodation was initially the only positive impression. Unfortunately, everything else fell far below expectations.
From the beginning, the front desk staff were unfriendly and spoke very poor English, which was shocking after spending almost two weeks in Bangkok and Koh Samui, where hospitality and communication were excellent. The contrast is extreme.
Housekeeping was unacceptable:
• Used towels were left on the floor
• “New” towels looked dirty and were carelessly draped over the shower
• Our sleep shirts were thrown around the room and left wrinkled on furniture
When we complained (by phone and in person), there was zero effort to compensate appropriately. The only response was that towels would be changed later. Which is the bare minimum, not a solution for such poor service at this price level.
Dining was another disappointment. After eating at the steakhouse, we experienced severe stomach pain. The steak was flambéed with absinthe, but far too much alcohol remained on the plate, completely ruining the taste and possibly causing the issue. This was reported to the manager, but again, no real response, no empathy, no compensation.
The overall atmosphere feels chaotic and unpleasant. Guests push and rush at the buffet, creating a cheap all-inclusive vibe that does not match a supposed luxury resort.
Additionally, the beach is not private and not included. As soon as you sit on a sunbed, someone charges you (around €10 per day). This was never clearly communicated when booking a “beach holiday.” While the hotel pool area is included, this setup feels misleading.
There are also many jellyfish in the water, making swimming uncomfortable and unsafe at times.
Conclusion:
You pay a luxury price but receive low-standard service, poor communication, and no sense of hospitality. A nice room alone does not justify this. We would not return and cannot recommend this resort.

My partner and I have just returned home after spending 9 nights at Beyond Kata, and overall we had a wonderful stay.
Rooms
The rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained, with a lovely large balcony.
However, we were initially placed in a room with a connecting door, and unfortunately the soundproofing between these rooms was very poor. We could hear everything from our neighbours, which made it uncomfortable. We raised this with reception and were quickly moved to a room without a connecting door. This made a huge difference — it was completely quiet and perfect for the rest of our stay.
Restaurant & Drinks
We stayed on an all-inclusive package. The buffet food was consistently nice and well presented, although there was quite a heavy focus on fish, which may not suit everyone.
The drinks were good quality and always enjoyable.
Staff
The staff were absolutely outstanding and truly made our holiday. Everyone was friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile.
A special mention must go to San at reception, who was exceptional. When we reported the noise issue with our room, she handled it brilliantly. She stayed in constant communication with us and checked in daily to make sure everything was okay and if there was anything else she could do. Her care and professionalism were second to none.
We would also like to thank Glenn, the General Manager, for taking the time to listen to our concerns, sitting down with us to speak with us personally, and ensuring that all issues were addressed and resolved. His approachability and willingness to find solutions made a real difference to our stay.
Tanu at the pool bar was also fantastic. He always had a smile on his face, made us laugh, and consistently went above and beyond. We encountered an issue with sunbed reservations starting as early as 4am, and although this was more noticeable during the latter part of our stay, Tanu made sure the hotel’s policy was enforced. He removed towels from unattended reserved sunbeds, despite receiving a lot of backlash from some guests. Throughout it all, he remained calm, professional, and assertive.
Shout-outs also to Noel and Lena from the pool bar, who always had a smile on their faces and made our days brighter with their great sense of humour.
Pool
The pool itself is very nice, but sunbed reservation is a major issue. The hotel policy states that sunbeds should not be reserved before 9am unless they are being used immediately, and any unused sunbeds after one hour should be cleared. Despite this, many sunbeds were being “reserved” with towels very early in the morning with no guests present.
I spoke with the General Manager, Glenn, who said he would look into the issue. While the problem continued for a couple of days, the situation improved significantly once the staff — especially Tanu — began actively enforcing the rules. From that point on, guests quickly learned that reserving sunbeds was not acceptable, and it became a much fairer system for everyone.
Location
The hotel is in a fantastic location, right on the beach. For the last few days of our stay, we chose to rent sunbeds directly on the beach, which was well worth it as they were guaranteed for the entire day and removed any stress around availability.
Overall
Beyond Kata is a great hotel in a perfect location with truly brilliant staff. If it weren’t for the exceptional assistance and dedication of the staff — especially San and Tanu — we may not have given this a five-star rating. However, thanks to their care, professionalism, and hard work, this hotel absolutely deserves ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Stayed here with my parents for a few days. The hotel was really comfortable and relaxed. The rooms are clean, the food is good. We spent our days on the beach and by the pool, the pool cafe team - Tam, Yot, Yan, Milo, Tiffy, Banle, Ice were all so friendly and attentive. At the beach restaurant Susie and Minchet were also so friendly and helpful. One thing I would keep in mind is if you’re wanting to visit old town and other tourist sites this hotel is a bit far, but if beach and chill is all you’re looking for I would recommended staying here. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back.

Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket is a beautiful resort located right on the beach, with an excellent setting and a very relaxing atmosphere. The property is well maintained and the beachfront location is truly one of the highlights.
The food was amazing, with multiple restaurants offering great variety and quality. Every meal felt fresh and well prepared, and there were plenty of options throughout the stay.
The rooms were also a great size — spacious, comfortable, and perfect for a resort holiday.
Overall, a fantastic experience and highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful beachfront stay in Phuket.

Worth max €120 per night, no luxury, just a mass tourism resort that is dated and puts a price tag on anything. I wish I read the negative reviews they were all true. All sunbeds (plastic!) covered by people's towels by 9am, beach unattended with no loungers, parasols or space. Pool are noisy and staff mostly bothered by you making request. Food very pricey and quality low on ingredients and choice. Restaurant staff very nice but restaurants constantly understaffed leading to waiting times for anything. The rooms - don't bother paying for oceanfront, it's another scam, it's the same as seaview. Even though we had the renovated room and probably the best available option, the room was quite small (defo not the 35sqm advertised) and the bathroom was sooooo dated, old tiles chipping off and being fixed by extra glue, old scratched glass of the shower panels, leaking shower booth.
Lastly the TV was blocked for connecting your nexflix and only choice you had was pay per view movies...99BHT....you just feel scammed every step of the way.
Another problem is that the hotel is tucked away from everywhere so there is nowhere to walk, traffic is at it's peak morning to evening and walking on the beach means you get stopped by traders offering jet ski, clothes, necklaces...you know how tacky places go.

Great location at the quieter end so you can still walk to all the bars and restaurants but it is away from the chaos and a nice walk back in the evening. Great views so nice to have a drink there or the bar next door to watch the sunset on the beach. The staff were absolutely fantastic and very responsive. They have a useful app where you can request anything you need and also indicate any problems. We had a slight leak in Our bathroom and it was fixed within 1 hour of us signaling there was an issue. The kids (4and 8) had a great time in the kids club. Would stay here again! Thanks for a lovely stay!

It was amazing more than I could have asked for. The staff were fantastic and I had no stress the whole day.
Both Dave and I were blown away with the location and the decorations.
The meal was so delicious and romantic again the staff were so attentive and friendly.
We then spent 5 wonderful days enjoying the resort and the hotel facilities. Thank you to Pond and her team who made our wedding and stay in Krabi so unforgettable.

This hotel is a very good place to stay during the visit to Ao Nang Beach. My wife and I spent two nights here, with our two small children.
We stayed in the Family Residence King which was a good fit for a couple with two children.
There are two pools — one on the beach, which is very nice as the beach itself is not so inviting for swimming, and another one between the hotel buildings with two water slides which the kids loved.
The breakfast was amazing, and it was one of the best breakfasts we have had during our trip. A wide variety of Asian and local food. A great selection of fresh and tasty fruits in a nice location by the pool.
For dinner, we went by foot to the main street and tried out different local restaurants each evening.
Overall it's a great hotel with an excellent service!

We came here on our honeymoon and its location is perfect. It’s close enough to shops and bars while still giving you a relaxing space away from it. The view of the cliff beside it is beautiful. The reception staff were so lovely, we were served by Bilkis and Satang who were so friendly! They left us a lovely honeymoon decoration on our bed and some treats! They often brought us a free treat to the room which was so lovely too. It was a special trip and would really recommend

Great location, beautiful sunsets – just be mindful of resort pricing
We recently stayed at this resort and loved the location right on Ao Nang Beach – it’s a stunning spot to watch the sunsets each evening.
The hotel is very well maintained and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
The only downside is that some of the on-site services are priced at typical resort levels and are quite expensive compared to what’s available just outside the property. Fortunately, everything you need is within a short walk and much more reasonably priced.
Overall, a great place to stay and we would happily recommend it – just don’t be afraid to step outside the resort for better value.

We have stayed at some top end resorts in Phuket in the past, and we were blown away by how amazing our experience was at Angsana. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, especially Victor the concierge! But the whole staff was fantastic and made us feel right at home, which is amazing considering the size of the property.
The property itself was great. There was always a crew around, touching up paint, fixing grout, watering foliage… Upkeep in a tropical location is so important! The pools were immaculate and the way they wind through the resort is so cool. They have so much to do in the water as well. The fitness/gym facility is one of the best hotel gyms that I’ve seen! Well air-conditioned and lots of equipment. It was never too busy either, and we went at many different times of the day. The resort itself never felt crowded.
The area is upscale and feels very safe. The hotel has security guards who were very friendly and helpful as well.
Breakfast was a highlight for sure! The buffet has so many options and the staff is so sweet and helpful. I especially loved the omelette station and the pancake self serve!
The spa is also incredible… They treat you like royalty! Everything is so clean and well thought out, and the massages and facial I received were the perfect blend of relaxation and pain haha…exactly what I requested!
I honestly can’t say enough good things about this beautiful hotel. The facilities were fantastic, the location is unbeatable, and the people who work there really make you feel like family. I will be back, 100%!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Angsana Laguna Phuket. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming and attentive – nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The service throughout our stay was genuinely warm and professional.
The rooms were spotless and beautifully maintained. You can really tell they take pride in cleanliness and comfort, which made it easy to fully relax.
A huge highlight was the amazing seafood buffet at Seafood Market. The selection was outstanding – so fresh, so much variety, and everything was cooked perfectly. If you love seafood, this is an absolute must while staying here.
The beach is stunning as well – clean, peaceful and perfect for long walks or just unwinding with the sound of the waves.
Overall, a wonderful experience from start to finish. We would happily stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Phuket.

Friendly and polite staff who were always happy to help. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice for different nationalities.
Pool and beach service were excellent. The buggy service was extremely helpful, especially as my husband found walking long distances difficult in the heat.
The beach security staff acted very quickly when my husband fell and injured his ankle. Their prompt first aid and professionalism were impressive.
Thank you to the Admin team for sending a Get well card and a huge fruit basket hamper. 🙏🏼
Canal Village was lovely, with a good selection of shops and restaurants. We ate at the Thai restaurant on our last day — delicious food, great ambience by the water, and they were happy to cater for vegetarian options.
We also had couple of dinners at Azura which was excellent
But disappointed at Bodega Grill where we luckily had a free dinger voucher otherwise would not be prepared to pay for such an expensive meal that was not to our satisfaction
Special mention to Min from housekeeping for remembering our preferences, and to Net and Tak, the buggy drivers, for their friendly service.

Great place; right on the coast, lovely scenery, very helpful & friendly staff, good rooms. The breakfast was excellent too. We tended to eat out in the evening; plenty of choice within 15 mins, along the beach front road. Bicycles to rent (free) & scooters from nearby (250 per day). Little bit busy be the pool, but most hotels have this issue - don’t let that put you off! And free yoga at the Spa 4 times a week; a good start to the day. The views across Phang Nga bay are amazing

We had three fabulous nights here. We had a beach view room and the views were absolutely spectacular. Nice balcony, large clean room and good size bathroom with good shower and a bath.
Pool area was very nice. Plenty of loungers, well spread out and the pool was a good temperature.
Restaurant was good, great choice for breakfast and dinner menu was varied and good quality. Nice wine list.
We enjoyed the beach bar.
The island is small and unspoiled and we enjoyed scootering around.
I had a massage at the spa which was excellent and a really nice environment.
3 nights was enough for us but we couldn’t fault it.

We had a great stay at Cape Kudu Hotel on Koh Yao Noi. Beautiful hotel with a lovely pool, great activities, and an amazing sea view from our room. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - everyone was so nice and welcoming.
Renting a scooter is a must to explore the island. A real highlight was the private cooking class with Chef A and sous chef Farook - absolutely fantastic and a lot of fun. Many thanks to both of them.
If anything, some areas could benefit from a bit of refreshing, especially the gym, but overall we had a wonderful time and would happily return.

We stayed for 4 nights here and loved the island, but I don’t think the hotel is a true 5 star hotel. The pool area and restaurant are great. The view is phenomenal and it was great having the Hornbill nesting box above the pool and watching the feeding. The rooms are tired and non-descript. My biggest issue with the hotel is that it doesn’t feel like you were in Thailand. It has country club instagram vibes. The price of food/drink and services was also expensive for both the area and compared to other hotels we stayed at. For example, our hotel in Koh Lanta cost 65 baht to wash 1kg of laundry. This hotel charges 65 baht to wash one t-shirt. A small beer is 150 baht. Having been to 3 other hotels in Thailand before this, it felt like a bit of a rip off having these sorts of prices.

My first time visiting Koh Yao Noi and my first stay at Cape Kudu left me truly impressed. The island has so much charm and character. It is peaceful, quiet, and uncrowded, with beautiful seas and a very relaxing atmosphere.
This is a review from a Thai traveler who has experienced staying here firsthand. The island itself is lovely, and the locals are warm and friendly. The hotel is beautiful and clean, with kind and attentive staff providing excellent service. The location is stunning, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery.
Breakfast was delicious, with different dishes each day. The hotel also offers various activities that guests can register to join. One of the most iconic highlights is the hornbill perched in the trees around the hotel, which adds a special and memorable touch.
The overall feeling is very warm and welcoming. I would definitely come back again if I have the chance.

This is my third time staying at Matcha, and I’m super satisfied.
The location is really convenient, and even though the building looks a bit old but it’s well-kept and very clean.
They surprised me with a birthday cake at the beachfront restaurant during my first stay. I was really impressed that they noticed my birthday at check-in.
The staff at the breakfast buffet and beachfront restaurant were all really attentive and friendly.
I can’t remember everyone’s name, but Kae remembered how I like my eggs and always offered to make them that way.
The food at the beachfront restaurant was amazing — two thumbs up to the chef!
The receptionists Neel, Music, and Dean were super helpful.
I extended my stay and had to switch rooms, and they arranged a smooth transfer with my bags.
I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in Samui.

The Matcha Samui Resort is a wonderful place to stay in Chaweng. Located directly on a beautiful sandy beach, it offers the perfect balance between a central location and a peaceful atmosphere. Restaurants, shops and bars are all within easy walking distance. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, from check-in to the restaurant, beach bar and check-out. The rooms and all hotel areas are very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is absolutely sufficient, well organized and served with great care. The pool area is small but very well kept, and the charming beach bar is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view. Highly recommended for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

This stay was a complete disappointment and far below acceptable standards.
The hotel was under major renovations, causing constant and unbearable noise throughout our stay. There was absolutely no disclosure of these renovations anywhere at the time of booking. Had this been clearly stated, we would never have booked this hotel.
The elevator was not working, creating serious inconvenience. The rooms smelled strongly of sewage, making them unpleasant and unacceptable to stay in.
The breakfast was poor, very limited, and lacked any variety. The rooms themselves are old, outdated, and in urgent need of renovation.
Despite all these serious issues, the hotel refused to cancel our reservation or offer any refund, which we found highly unprofessional and unacceptable.
Overall, this hotel failed on every level. We strongly advise others to avoid booking until all renovations are completed and the hotel meets basic hospitality standards.

It’s a perfect place to relax with beautiful white sandy beaches and clean, comfortable rooms. The location is right in the center, close to tourist attractions and very convenient for travel. Every staff member made me feel truly valued. The front desk team was always ready to help with everything, and the restaurant staff were friendly and provided excellent service. Even though I came here alone, I never felt lonely. This is truly the spirit of Thailand kindness and genuine hospitality. I will definitely come back to stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 weeks in December. Absolutely loved it, great hotel the deluxe villas are beautifully decorated and spacious. Walk in shower and freestanding bath. Lovely area around pool/ beachfront for sunbathing/relaxing with nice bar area. Forced had was lovely. Now to the staff brilliant, nothing too much trouble for them. Big shout out to Tuk Tuk, Jampen and Dum who were amazing, can’t fault anything and will definitely be back.

We stayed in a wonderful ocean villa. It was beautifully appointed from the sheets and towels to the jacuzzi. We had our own chaise lounges on the beach, steps away from the ocean and the pool. The staff was professional and eager to please. The spa services were superb. We did feel that the restaurant fell short of the quality level of the restaurant of the resort.

Such a beautiful, well preserved, tastefully decorated hotel! Located on one of the best beaches of the island, providing easy access to the sea and also offering two decent sized pools. The best sunsets we experienced during our whole Thailand trip were at Layana.
All the staff are very friendly, they take great care of the guests. Not to mention all the kind gestures we received from the hotel as part of our honeymoon. The facilities are very clean, rooms are quiet, breakfast is generous and tasty. We would definitely love to come back in the future.

It's not obvious from the descriptions that this is a small, intimate resort. I would guess they have at most 100 guests, yet they have probably 40 staff. That makes for an incredibly high level of personal attention. If you are looking for beach bars and night life, this is not it. If you're looking to get away from the madness of the world while still surrounded by luxury, this is the place. In Hawaii equivalency, this is Kawaii, not Waikiki. Also, in general, I hate "organized fun" because it's too cheesy. Yet every event they organized was low key, classy and in good taste. It goes without saying that the food was great, the grounds immaculate and the surroundings pristine.

Not sure where to start. We had the most amazing four days at Layana and we wish we could have stayed longer.
We had a very warm welcome when we arrived and the staff had gone to a lot of trouble to prepare our room with an anniversary message and decorated bed followed by a complimentary bottle of bubbly. This is a truly beautifully serene place with wonderfully kept grounds and rooms to match. The staff are genuinely friendly and can't do enough for you. The staff at the pool made sure we were never without cold drinking water and would bring food and drinks if requested. The restaurant served delicious food and although more expensive than other places you might eat in Thailand we thought it was worth every penny.
Thank you for making our Anniversary trip one to remember.

Great family resort right on the beach on a lovely bay. Water clean, clear and turquoise. Sand smooth and clean, although narrow beach. Property is landscaped and spread out with two great pools. Even has a big library. Staff friendly and helpful. Shuttle bus to Fisherman’s Beach and Market. Buffet breakfast is underwhelming, but restaurant is fine otherwise.

It‘s a beautiful resort with a beautiful beach and amazing turquoise deep water perfect for swimming. The jungle garden is lush and absolutely magnificent, especially to wake up in the mornings. However all is absolutely not worth the money. For Island Standard it should be 50% less the paid rate. Even restaurant is pricey and food not good at all. Menu is completely outdated and not kids friendly. Fast food only. Breakfast seems like a wide variety but it’s not good quality and doesn’t feel fresh. No options on alternative diary. Not very accommodating coffee menu.

We booked two connecting rooms which was great! Perfect location on the island. Quite, yet plenty of restaurants in a range of 5km. The hotel facilities were great as well. Lovely beach - pool - bar - restaurant combo and very important the staff. So helpful and making our stay amazing!
We loved the hotel size. Big enough to have plenty facilities and kids to play with. Small enough to let the kids walk freely.

The rooms are nice and modern, everything is clean and the food is great. The garden is kept in good shape and there are two swimming pools to choose from, one on the beach and one near the lobby. The breakfast is good and the menu for dinner/lunch is varied. Furthermore there are more than enough sunbeds to choose from. The resort isn't close to where al the partying is going on but we really liked that, it is really perfect for a chill holiday.
Only point for improvement is that the swimming pool at the beach seemed somewhat dirty. It turned green after our first day at the resort, probably something to do with the filter/chlorine.

When we asked to change rooms because of some discomfort, the team was very attentive and helped us quickly. We really appreciated the fast response and the willingness to help.

The rooms were somewhat on the smaller side, and at first they felt a bit compact. However, they were clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed, which made the space comfortable enough for a pleasant stay. Even though they weren’t very spacious, they had everything we needed, and the layout made good use of the available area, so overall they were perfectly fine and practical.
The pool, on the other hand, was absolutely enormous and incredibly impressive. It was spacious, beautifully maintained, and inviting, with plenty of room to swim, relax, and enjoy the water without feeling crowded. It truly stood out as one of the highlights of the place — not only because of its size, but also because of how fun and refreshing it was. It made the whole experience feel more luxurious and exciting.

Terrible hotel; I can only recommend choosing a different hotel in the area. The rooms are incredibly small, the room smells musty and the "balcony" is perhaps 1 square meter. The breakfast buffet is reminiscent of a visit to a train station, the tables are only 30 cm apart, there's absolutely no privacy, and the food quality is unfortunately poor. For travelers who want to work during their vacation: there are no power outlets outside the restaurant or anywhere else (probably intentional). When I asked if I could work inside the restaurant, as it's the only place with outlets, I was initially told no. When I inquired at reception, I was told to wait 10 minutes outside the restaurant. After 25 minutes, when no one had opened the door, I went to out to find another place to work in. I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel unless you enjoy mass tourism and a lack of hospitality.

Best place we have stayed in Thailand. Everything was excellent from the moment we arrived to the moment we check out.
Check in was quick and we got our keys in like 5 mins. Rooms are large and toilet are clean and the daily room service was excellent. Water was provided daily and coffee, tea and kettle was provided and all complimentary.
Food can be purchased on site with a burger/steak place at the entrance which carters to lunch and dinner. The testurant within the resort provided breakfast and lunch. Fantastic food and drinks. Staff were extremely friendly and will cater to your needs.
The pool was big and it also connect straight to the beach
Overall excellent stay, friendly staff, fantastic service all round and we will be returning here.

This resort is probably not the newest one on the island, but that only adds to its charm.
The villas for the guests are beautifully located on a slope going down to the beach.
The beach is clean and the water shallow enough to wade in. So it's not only suited for those who want to join an Olympic swimming team.
Checking in upon arrival made us feel like we disturbed the staff. They rushed us through the procedure like there was no tomorrow. Not the best first impression, considering we were the only ones to check in.
The room was clean. AC is noisy. Warm water was available most of the time.
The private pool adds much to the joy of the stay. But again, no shade (umbrella) at the private pool and terrace. It's facing south, go figure.
Food was always okay.
A real deal is the daily shuttle bus to the local groceries.
Management should seriously consider adding more shaded areas. IMHO the times are gone, where everyone wanted to nourish skin cancer. UV protection is essential for most people coming from colder parts of the world. Means: not enough umbrellas at the beach and around the pools.
Music from the pool bar is surprisingly and pleasantly quiet. A big plus in my book.
Don't expect any service oriented culture.
Staff is usually friendly but not very helpful if you have a request aside from a bottle of beer.
Late check out is not available. If your 20h flight leaves late in the evening, prepare to leave the room by noon. That's not comfortable. No one cares what you do in the long hours in-between.
Another example: you can reserve a table for dinner. But don't expect to sit at the table you reserved. Happened several times.
One out of two coffeemaker for breakfast is always broken.
Juices are always empty - although I didn't check at 06:30.
A little more tender love and care combined with a management that is interested in the well-being of the guests would make a real gem out of this place.
In current state much is left to be desired to feel really comfortable and welcome.
The Verdict:
I really loved the private pool but I wouldn't book this place again.

A beautiful resort in a peaceful location. The amentities staff, food and service were excellent. The resort is on a stunning beach and during my stay had locals offering massages on the beach at a great price on either side of the resort. The spa is also a lovely option (i sampled it all).
The resort weekly theme nights and entertainment was enjoyed. The photos on the website dont do it justice!
Staff were attentive and made us feel so welcome from the beginning to end. We were greated by Best at reception who was warm and informative, and showed us to our room and the service particularly from Mam, Isti, and Pia stood out, however all staff she be commended for their professionlism and warm hosptality. We will definetly return and would thouroughly recommend for either a romantic or family holiday.

Idyllic location on a beautiful piece of beach about 40 minutes drive from Koh Samui airport. The resort is an older but well maintained build, lushly planted with a maze terraces and steps to meander around while soaking up the views and incredible scenery.
Provisioned with 3 beautifully maintained swimming pools of various family friendly depths, you can choose to hang out in the banana lounges, or a number of cabanas while sipping on one of the many tasty beverages the resort has to offer.
From the centrally located bar, the beach is just a few short steps away where you can safely swim in protected turquoise waters behind the rock bar, or lay on the beach soaking up the warm Thailand sun.
We booked one of the numerous private pool villas that provided a quiet place to enjoy the serenity while floating around away from other guests any time of the day or night.
The restaurant provides an extensive range of western style dishes, but you would do yourself a disservice to miss the incredibly tasty local Thai foods on offer. Do not miss the spicy stir fried pork with hot basil, chilli and garlic or the Massaman beef curry.
The on-site day spa is a tranquil place to unwind with a Thai massage. You can't go wrong with either Lenny or Ae looking after you.
The staff are nothing short of the superstars of this resort. Any request no matter how minor is met with the greatest level of assistance accompanied by a beaming smile. We truly felt warmly welcomed and taken care of. The bar queen, Mam makes a mean long island iced tea, which is a perfect refreshment for doing the hard work of sitting under an umbrella by the sea.

We had a great time here. Everyone is super sweet and does his best to help the guests. The restaurant quality is top notch and not expensive, the view is absolutely incredible, it's quiet and feels intimate.
Great for couples, friends and family with many different activities for free during the stay.
It's a bit far away from the main city but buses are available and you can lend a scooter directly at the hotel (very easy to drive).
The only thing is that the staff doesn't al!us speak English so it can be hard to get your request through. Some mistakes will be made 🙂

Overall this is a good hotel for families, couples or traveling solo. They give you your own private villa. It’s perfectly self contained and you can eat all 3 meals. However breakfast there is only a buffet option, would have preferred to be able to eat à la cart since I don’t eat much. With the hotel being tucked away from town you will not have access unless you walk around 1 mile in or take a shuttle. The resort does offer a shuttle service but you have to sign up the day before. Overall a good option for travelers looking to unplug.

We had an amazing stay in january at this lovely quiet Hotel. The service and housekeeping was outstanding. The privat pool was cold. (But this was january) A lot of shadow by the main pool area, but also sunny areas. We ate a lot at the hotel and will ecpecialy say a huge thank you to Dao Ruang, Bua, Phimol, Fon, Tong, Tae and Sub for always taking good care of us. But the service from everyone was very good. Love this hotel for adults.

Cape Nidhra Hotel was the perfect place for our mini moon! We stayed late feb 2026 for 4 nights. The hotel itself is gorgeous and had the most amazing pool with the most amazing view. The room had five star amenities like robes and any toiletries needed. The breakfast was one of the best we ever had. Great mix of local authentic Thai dishes and European/American breakfast options. They changed it up every day a little as well so we could try different. Fresh coconut water every morning! Happy hour buy 1 get 1 free drinks everyday between 5-7 on the roof top. Free yoga by the pool on certain days in the morning. The staff was so friendly and remembered us (iced americano every morning)! The location is right on the beach with great access to walk up and down. Easy 3/4 mile walk to the hua hin night market. Spa was pleasant offering deals on certain massages. There was so much more that made our stay one of a kind but can’t fit it all on this review! If you want a 5 star hotel experience and friendly staff this is the place to go! If we are ever in hua hin again we would stay here in a heart beat.

We visited during the first week of Feb 2026 and it was fabulous.
This is a 5 star boutique hotel on the beach and everything was as you would expect from a 5 star property.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by the wonderful staff at The Cape Nidhra.
In the restaurant we were looked after by the kind and attentive Sub who could not have been more welcoming or friendly. We should also mention Add who was so helpful and delightful to talk to and also the receptionist Golf who was marvellous. And we cannot forget our two super security guards at the front entrance who never misses an opportunity to salute us a welcome.
The Hotel is modern and beautifully designed - very cool. The hotel pool is an oasis of calm and relaxation overlooking the beach and the sea.
(note: in the mornings the high tide brings the sea to the bottom of the steps from the pool area but by mid afternoon it recedes and becomes a wide and super beach perfect for lazy long walks in both directions)
Our room was magnificent with its own plunge pool and very amenity you would need or expect.
The food in the restaurant was first class for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So much to enjoy from a varied and interesting menu - all beautifully prepared and served.
We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this hotel.

An excellent evening from the very moment we arrived till we left. Everyone was welcoming, helpful and friendly. The hotel was beautiful and serene the food was delicious with a wide range of Thai and western dishes, great cocktails and great views. The team (Phimol, Add, Bua, Tae and Ked) were professional and delivered a perfect meal, they could not have done more to make our evening great! Highly recommend!

The Rocks reastuarnt is fantastic with amazing food. A great variety of dishes always well presented. The services is impicable by all staff, but for us Bua was a delight from our first meeting at lunch and every breakfast her friendly service was amazing. I had my birthday here and with out noticed the room was decorated with happy birthday and a cake with a card, arrived at my room, just topped off my day very well. Thank you Bua and the staf! would highly recommend the Cape Nighra Hotel as the perfect resort for relaxing get away.

The Amari Hotel is truly a wonderful place. The service is excellent, and the reception staff and all the employees are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. Everyone is always smiling and genuinely eager to help. They constantly go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable and taken care of.
We have been coming here for more than 20 years, almost every year, and it still feels just as special each time. It’s a place we love, and we will definitely keep coming back for many more years.
The value for money is fantastic , you get a lot for what you pay. The breakfast is delicious and enjoyable, the view is stunning, and the beach is beautiful.
Overall, this hotel offers a warm atmosphere, great service, and an amazing location. Highly recommended!

We spent 2 weeks at the Amari and we weren’t disappointed with anything. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were extremely clean and made up daily to a high standard. In addition to the rooms, the outside area of the hotel was very attentively cleaned all the time. You will see people sweeping and cleaning all the time including the pools. The hotel is situated on the edge of Chaweng meaning you are away from the height of activity in town centre giving you full control of your nights out. In addition, it was my partners birthday while we were there so without me even prompting them they left a cake and a card in our room from the hotel wishing her a happy birthday of which she was overjoyed with, thank you again Amari. All in all, a very positive experience at the Amari Koh Samui and will definitely return.

Myself and 14 friends just got back from a group trip here and we all want to go back already.
The staff were amazing and made a huge effort to get to know us, and make our stay more enjoyable.
Big thanks to Nanathawan who had a lot of patience for the needs of our large group. I think over 100 emails happened back and forth to organise this group trip and she was always happy to accommodate us and make suggestions that would improve our stay.
Big thanks to Penn who so warmly welcomed us to breakfast most mornings, learned my coffee order, and had an uncanny habit of appearing right near our group as soon as any of us had a desire for cocktails.
To Maysa for so expertly waiting on our beachside banquet and always stopping to talk with us like a good friend no matter where we saw her on the resort. Also the banquet was incredible, it even had fire twirlers make an appearance.
To Zeed for making sure we never had to lift a finger by the pool, making sure we were always relaxed, had fresh towels and for bringing funny banter.
Every staff member I saw no matter their job l always made an effort to smile or greet me. My friends even met the General Manager by chance and said he was lovely to them.
The resort as a whole exceeded all expectations I had. We stayed in both a pool view suite and a deluxe ocean view during our time, and also visited our friends rooms in a variety of locations and all carried a similar standard of luxury, function and tranquillity. Also had personalised hand written welcome cards, fruit and cute welcome messages written on the mirror.
The pool view suites are quite peaceful and though they are further away from the lobby, beach and restaurant, the walk is a lovely stroll. Plus you can often get a friendly staff member to drive you back on a golf cart.
Location is great. It's in a part of Chaweng that is very close to, but not completely surrounded by all the liveliness and activity that Chaweng provides. So if you want a peaceful beach or poolside holiday one day, and want a busy night of eating, drinking and dancing the next, you can easily have both.
Breakfast buffet was incredible. There's Thai and Indian sections, but also a huge section for stuff like, bacon, eggs, fruit, cereal, pancakes etc. Basically anything you associate with breakfast you will find. Cocktails were lovely. Be sure to follow happy hour around, it's at different times at different pools.
I could say a lot more but would be here a while. But if you're tossing up on whether or not you should come here, just trust me and do it. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

If you want to stay right in the middle of the action yet wake up to pure beachfront bliss, Amari Koh Samui is hard to beat. Located in the heart of Chaweng Beach, you’re steps away from the vibrant, bustling energy of Chaweng — restaurants, nightlife, shopping — all within easy reach.
But the real star of the show? The private beach. And I say this confidently: it’s arguably the best stretch of sand in the entire Chaweng area. The sand is powdery, the water is clear and calm, and the beachfront setting feels exclusive and beautifully maintained. The sunbeds and beachside seating area are perfect for long, lazy afternoons, and the beachfront bar makes sunset time something to look forward to every day.
The arrival experience sets the tone immediately. The lobby is open, airy, and filled with natural daylight. As you walk in, you’re greeted by a sweeping view of the ocean — that instant “I’m officially on holiday” moment.
Dining is another highlight. Prego is widely regarded as one of the best Italian restaurants on the island — authentic flavors, excellent pasta, and a lively atmosphere. Amaya Café, the all-day dining venue, offers an impressive international spread, including strong Indian and vegetarian options.
Overall, Amari Samui delivers that perfect balance of location, beach quality, dining, and atmosphere. It was truly one of the most memorable holiday experiences we’ve had in Samui.

We had an overall good stay at Amari Koh Samui.
The location is great – it’s at the end of Chaweng Beach, so it’s quieter than the very center, but still only a 2–3 minute walk to the main area with restaurants, shops, and nightlife. It’s a nice balance between being close to everything and still enjoying some peace.
The room was overall good and comfortable, maybe just a bit on the small side. For some reason, my daughter felt like she was sleeping in a storage-type room – not sure exactly why, but that was her feeling. Still, overall the room itself was fine.
At the pool area, service was a bit limited. We didn’t really see staff walking around offering service. However, if you found someone and asked for something, you did get it. So the service was there, just not very proactive.
On the positive side, the lobby staff and the bellboy were excellent – very friendly, helpful, and welcoming.
Overall, a good hotel with a very good location and solid experience.

really is a peace resort. it’s wonderful, the staff is lovely, you feel like you’re in paradise. we stayed in a superior villa for 4 nights, and was truly amazing. the beach is quite, there are a lot of sun beds, the breakfast is excellent, and the view is breathtaking. the hotel area is beautiful, very green, like a movie. one more thing to highlight is their spa. we went several times and Kong, one of the massage specialists is the best specialist I’ve ever met. we’ve been several massage places all over Thailand, and this place, especially Kong was the best one. this hotel is highly recommended if you would like to experience something special.

The hotel is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and perfectly located. The swimming pool area is especially pleasant and relaxing, creating a lovely atmosphere throughout the day.
The food was excellent, the cuisine at the restaurant was delicious, refined, and consistently well presented. We truly enjoyed every meal. The breakfast buffet is generous and of a great quality.
The service was impeccable from start to finish: warm, attentive, and highly professional.
We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The place is calm, quiet, and perfect if you just want to slow down and relax. The beachfront is lovely, not crowded, and the whole resort feels peaceful without trying too hard.
Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, housekeeping did a great job every day. Staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to, which made everything feel smooth from check-in to check-out.
Breakfast was good with enough variety to start the day right. Overall, it felt like a well-run resort that focuses on comfort and good service rather than being overly flashy.

As soon as you enter the drive way of the hotel you have the feeling of entering a different world. You are greeted with an atmosphere of tranquility and serenity compared to the busy and noisy streets.
Upon arrival, which was a couple of hours earlier than the usual check-in, we were greeted by the staff, given information about what to do around the island and told an earlier check-in was possible at 10 am. And at exactly 10 am we were taken to our garden view villa.
The hotel complex with the overall greenery and the room integrate perfectly with the whole vibe of the hotel.
The room was always clean and the cleaning staff always left small amenities. They really cleaned with attention to the detail making us feel very comfortable.
What we want to highlight the most is the extremely friendly and attentive staff. We didn’t have one bad experience and felt always looked after, very well treated and welcome. Everyone was always respectful and all smiles. We especially want to mention Taew and Erica for their amazing work, their extremely friendly nature, kindness and attentiveness. We appreciate your work and dedication and wish you all the best!

What a great relaxing stay!!! The service and friendliness in this resort is unmatched…the best I have ever experienced. We stayed two weeks in a pool suite, which had plenty of space for two. The suite was tastefully designed with modern furnitures and amenities. The breakfast buffet has a large variety of fresh food and the evening meals are also very tasty, albeit, a bit expensive.
Overall, a great resort; a perfect location; a very nice pool and beachfront; and absolutely excellent service.

I surprised my wonderful partner with a belated Valentine's romantic getaway. The resort is absolutely stunning, with lush tropical gardens, and we took lots of memorable photos during our short 5-minute walk to the beach. After waiting a few minutes, our beachfront romantic dinner was ready, and it was an incredible experience to watch the sunset. The team members were friendly, attentive, and even took lovely photos of us. The meal was delicious—a beautifully arranged 7-course set menu with many other options. The variety of food was tempting, and the wine paired perfectly with the dishes! The candles, flowers, and open pergola created a truly breathtaking setting. We loved every moment of this special evening, and it’s a memory we will cherish forever. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience!

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish.
The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I could possibly need. Housekeeping was consistent and thorough every day.
The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. From the front desk to the restaurant and bar team, everyone made me feel genuinely welcome.
The location was ideal — not too far from everything, but still quiet and peaceful at night.
Breakfast was varied and delicious every morning, with fresh ingredients and plenty of options.
Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This resort exceeded all my expectations and I will definitely return. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful experience from stepping out of the taxi until checking out. As a person who has traveled in different countries around the world I would highly recommend this hotel if you visiting Koh Samui. All staff are so helpful and nice. You feel more like a part of the family than just a guest with a room number. The breakfast were really good, they had something for everyone, they also changed some of the courses from day to day which was fun. The caramel sauce and bread and much more were homemade which gave that “little extra”. Excellent food, from Thai cuisine to English fish and chips. The rooms had everything you can ask for. Spacious environment, bathroom facilities, board games and wardrobes and cabinets. A lovely experience. A bit pricier than other hotels, but you don’t mind while you get to enjoy everything I wrote above. After a couple of days after checking out of this hotel we came back to enjoy a stunning dinner and the staff remembers us and was very welcoming.

I'm writing this review from the hotel right now. My wife, son, and I had a very comfortable 10-day holiday. The hotel is located at the beginning of the main street in Chaweng Beach, a famous area of Koh Samui. It's situated in the lively atmosphere of Chaweng, but also offers endless peace and relaxation when you retreat to your room or hotel. The staff are generally very kind. I don't know about all the rooms, but the suites are quite spacious and provide all the comforts. The mini-bar is replenished daily. The breakfast has a wide variety. The internet speed is acceptable. The deposit they take upon arrival is a bit high. There are two beautiful swimming pools, one on the beach and one in the inner courtyard. And the inner courtyard pool bar is especially nice, and the staff there are very polite. The biggest problem at the pools is that even in the early morning hours, guests occupy the sunbeds by placing their towels there. The hotel management needs to be stricter about this. The beach is very beautiful and peaceful. During our visit (the second half of January), due to the tide, the beach disappeared until late afternoon, but in the evening it was incredibly peaceful. The gym is very clean, and although there isn't a lot of equipment, you can still keep up with your workout while on vacation. There were complaints about neglect on booking sites and in reviews here. While these comments are valid, I didn't see much neglect or wear and tear. Yes, there are minor things. And also, the resort is practically in the sea, so this kind of wear and tear is normal. But still, I don't think it's a 5-star hotel. However, I was quite satisfied with my stay and, as someone who has seen other parts of Koh Samui, I highly recommend it to anyone coming to Koh Samui.

The garden setting was also wonderful to be in, we loved all the nature around us.
The rooms definetly need maintenance and renovation… it was a little outdated and the wear and tear was very visible. I feel like once this is addressed, it will be much more pleasant.

We had a wonderful stay at Chaweng Beach Resort. The hospitality was warm and welcoming from the start. We booked a Premier Room with a pool view, which was spacious and comfortable. The property has two beautiful pools, and both were absolutely fantastic to relax in.
Breakfast was great as well, with plenty of options to choose from each morning.
The only downside was the beach most of the time the tide was high, so we couldn’t really enjoy it. However, the street nearby makes up for it with lots of restaurants, pubs, and places to hang out.
Overall, we really enjoyed our 3-night stay and would definitely recommend it for a relaxing and convenient getaway.

We just spent five days in one of the pool villas and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and the villa itself was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Having a private pool was a huge treat and we loved being able to have a quick dip to cool off right on our doorstep. The hotel is relatively small and adults only so the vibe is very peaceful and relaxing. The setting on the beach was spectacular! Especially at night when we had dinner overlooking the shore. The restaurant itself had a very nice variety of Thai and Western dishes and we really appreciated that they served food until late (9:30 pm) as we were often coming back from a day-long outing later in the evening. The location is excellent as well - far enough from the hubbub of Chaweng that it was always quiet, but not so far that it was difficult to get anywhere on the island. There is a 7-11 located just a five minute walk from the hotel which was very convenient. Did I mention that the staff were all fabulously friendly and helpful?! Great hotel, highly recommend.

We stayed at this resort for our first stop in Thailand with the intention of having a quiet, relaxing place to get over jet lag. This was exactly what we needed.
The room was comfortable and the daily cleaning was timely. The grounds were well kept with beautiful landscaping
The breakfast was delicious and varied, the drinks were well made and well priced. We had dinner there for 2 nights and throughly enjoyed it.
The staff was always friendly and welcoming.
The only con I would say is the beach, it’s rocky and made it barely possible to enjoy a swim to cool off. This is hardly something they can control, but if you want a resort with a swimmable beach, it’s not this one.
Overall we loved our stay and would recommend it to another couple for a relaxing stay

We came here for our honeymoon and we loved our stay here. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, they were also very helpful if you had questions or queries.
The room was excellent, clean and spacious with a small plunge pool. There was a minibar that was well stocked with a good variety, and you could ask for your pool to be cleaned, and room was cleaned every day unless you specify.
Information was informative and easy to digest. The hotel app was really helpful for booking shared transport to other areas such as Fisherman’s Village at a reduced rate compared to private taxis.
Breakfast was excellent with a range of Thai and international products.
Lunch was nice and in a beautiful setting although not the best value (to be expected at a hotel restaurant though).
The pool areas are excellent and well maintained. We spent some time here to relax and it had beautiful views of the beach and surrounding areas.
Gym has all the necessities.
Location is quiet. Great for relaxing, though taxi’s are more expensive here compared to other parts of Thailand. If you’re wanting to explore the island, hiring a bike/ car would be best, or take an island tour to see lots of the sights in one day like we did. I recommend the Pui Relax restaurant for local food which is around the corner.
Overall loved our stay here! Would come again.

What a wonderful place this is if you just want to chill.
Each accommodation is it's own private villa with plunge pool - probably only critism of this place the plunge pool is not the easiest to get into. The bed is huge, couldn't find my husband in it. The shower in the bathroom is again huge and exceptionally powerful.
Our villa was very close to the amenities but you wouldn't know it.
It has 3 lovely pools one with a swim up bar, the temperature of them is just right and they never got overly busy.
There are plenty of sunloungers, it is lovely listening to the waves.
The beach isn't private and is quite rocky but is perfect for an evening stroll.
The staff are amazing Ter, little, boss, da in food servece and meen on reception, they can't do enough for you. All staff greet and acknowledge it's what really made our stay wonderful.

From the second we arrived, it felt like the staff rolled out the red carpet for us. This resort is exceptionally priced, with an extremely high level of service from every staff member. They were able to assist us with any questions or requests that we had, and did so with a smile. The rooms are clean, and the housekeeping does a great job. The location is excellent, only a 10 minute drive from the airport as well as Chaweng, but you feel like you are in a secluded beach resort when you are on property.
The front desk staff is accommodating, and everybody greets you when they see you. The resort uses an app for housekeeping requests and general inquiries, which is much better than having to call on the phone.
We were all blown away with the service that we received. The beach is in a secluded area, so it is not packed with outsiders. You can snorkel, paddleboard, or kayak for free. The pool is refreshing and has an awesome view of the ocean. Breakfast is delicious, and the restaurant is top-notch. The Thai food tastes authentic, as well as some of the more western options such as pizza. I have been to Samui three times, and this is definitely my new go-to! Thanks to everyone for making our stay so wonderful.

While Santiburi pretends to be “luxury”, it does not deliver on it. I HIGHLY recommend choosing another hotel that will provide a truly unique and luxurious experience. There are plenty on Koh Samui.
Below are some of the most notable issues, although the hotel underdelivers in many other aspects as well.
First of all, your villa will have no privacy at all.
The yard is next to the walkways, so everyone passing by can see you both in the yard and inside your room through the panoramic windows. The room itself is very basic.
Second big disappointment is a beachfront - it is very busy and crowded, no much options of available sunbeds. The sea itself is good though, good sandy beach, clean water, nice and easy waves, very comfortable to swim.
Lastly, the hotel charges 800 baht if you order food from outside through a courier. Moreover, they block food delivery apps on their wifi. Imagine how petty and insecure they must be about their restaurants.
Overall, this was by far the most disappointing stay we had on Koh Samui.

A truly wonderful stay at Santiburi. The gardens are absolutely beautiful and create such a peaceful atmosphere throughout the resort. Our villa was serene and charming — waking up each morning to those views was simply lovely. I had an incredible stay at Santiburi Resort & Spa in Koh Samui. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel truly at home super friendly, welcoming, and warm, just like a family. Everywhere you go, whether it’s the reception, the spa, or the dining areas, the staff are genuinely helpful, down-to-earth, and always smiling.
I’ll admit, I almost didn’t book this resort because of a few negative reviews, but I’m so glad I experienced it for myself. The resort is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and has such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere that I didn’t even feel like leaving the property.
A big shout-out to the Thai night dining restaurant for their amazing food dinner there was a highlight of the trip. Truly delicious!
Overall, every penny was worth it. Santiburi Resort & Spa exceeded my expectations in every way, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Koh Samui. I can’t wait to come back.

So I can only share my experience for the Day Pass they offer. Advertised as $1,500 baht, plus taxes and other property charges. Total just under $1,800 baht. They give you a $1,000 baht voucher to use on food, drink or services.
I asked for a menu and they advised because I am Day Pass Guest I must go to the restaurant myself and order. Thumbs down on that.
So I walk to the restaurant, order a drink. They bring it and don’t return my Day Pass. I had to ask for it as it has a balance still and validates my stay in the event I’m asked by staff. Then I look at the bill and again you pay tax and service charges.
I’m local. It’s not terrible but I won’t be back for another Day Pass and won’t recommend to friends or family when they come. Absolutely absurd they won’t wait on you at the beach when they charge you a service fee and you do everything.
Don’t let this discourage a stay. Is a nice place. A little dated but very nice.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this hotel truly left a lasting impression on me and it absolutely deserves one.
The service was of the highest level, it was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. The room was spacious and spotless, the pool was beautiful and relaxing, the breakfast was wonderful, and the location is simply stunning, set on a breathtaking, peaceful beach.
This is honestly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, not only in Thailand but anywhere in the world. It gave me that movie-like vacation experience you always dream about.
It’s important to mention that this hotel is perfect for people who are looking to truly relax. It’s a short drive (just a few minutes to about 15 minutes) from the main central areas, but for me that was actually a huge advantage. I loved its sense of seclusion, the ability to go out to the lively spots whenever I wanted and then return to my own quiet paradise.

Just stayed 8 nights at this hotel with my partner and we cannot fault a single thing. The property is set in lush, private grounds which are very calming and the property itself is lovely. The room was spotless and very well appointed. The main building was great and the breakfast was excellent with everyone catered for. The pool was warm as was the sea and the beach was great. The best bit though were the staff. Every single staff member was so welcoming and helpful and really cared about your day. The staff really make the place extra special. It is a fabulous hotel and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Go and relax.

My husband and I spent four nights at Garrya Tongsai Bay after starting our Thailand holiday in Bangkok. We were welcomed with private transportation at the Koh Samui airport, complete with water and cold towels. The check-in process was relaxing and took place on a terrace overlooking the ocean.
We stayed in a seaview hillside pool suite. While not as large as some of the villas, it was extremely spacious and included a private pool with two lounge chairs. All the accommodations seem lovingly maintained and were clearly well-built to begin with. We've stayed in Four Seasons properties as well as The Standard Hua Hin (right after it was built) and this was our favorite. The resort isn't super large, so the employees and our fellow guests quickly started to look familiar. We loved the friendly, intimate atmosphere, but if you want to blend in on a larger resort or prize anonymity, this one isn't for you. We also liked how eco-friendly it was, things like delivering meal leftovers in real dishes rather than wasteful disposable packaging and daily educational nature walks stood out to us.
The service and dining punch well above their weight and are a large part of why we enjoyed our stay so much. Fish Tales offers nightly dinner, pool bar food service, and lunch. EVOL has healthier options, including multiple items for vegans. Rhoy Rhoy is a slightly more formal dinner option and is the site of the bountiful breakfast buffet each morning. The cocktail list available by the pool or via room service is excellent. We drank our way through most of it and nothing was a disappointment. I also want to give a special shout out to the lovely woman making fresh juices at breakfast each day. She is a real gem and we enjoyed seeing her!
Overall as we prepare to leave, we feel sad to go but grateful for our memorable and relaxing stay. Next time we're in Koh Samui we will strongly consider returning. There are many outstanding resorts on the island, but this one blends service, approachable luxury, and care for the environment in a really lovely way. Thank you to the entire team!

My husband and I spent five wonderful nights over the Christmas holidays at Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui, and it exceeded every expectation. This was truly a first-class, five-star White Lotus–style experience from start to finish.
From the moment we arrived to the day of departure, the staff consistently went above and beyond. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel welcomed and completely looked after throughout our stay.
We stayed in the One Bedroom Sea View Villa with a private pool and were absolutely blown away. The villa was immaculately clean, beautifully maintained, and stocked with all the essentials—restocked daily. Evening turndown service with thoughtful little treats was a lovely touch. The outdoor space was exceptional, with daybeds, loungers, a hammock, dining table, plunge pool, and that breathtaking view. It was the perfect place to relax, recharge, and truly unwind over the holidays.
The food was outstanding, from the daily breakfasts to the Christmas Eve BBQ beach dinner and everything in between. Every meal was fresh, well executed, and memorable.
We would highly recommend Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui to anyone visiting Koh Samui and would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.

From the hotel itself which looks like heaven to the amazing employees who work there who always make sure that nothing is missing. Extremely high service awareness. This hotel is truly an excellent place to stay. The service staff are extremely attentive and always make you feel welcome. One of the highlights was the free minibar, which was a very nice touch.
Every day, you can even order a small surprise to be delivered to your room, which made the stay feel extra special. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, and the rooms are well equipped, including effective protection against mosquitoes.
The breakfast is absolutely amazing — a huge variety, high quality, and something for every taste. It was definitely one of the highlights of the stay.
Overall, a fantastic hotel with great service and thoughtful details. I would definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again.

I am beyond impressed with my stay at this hotel. I informed the team in advance that I was visiting to celebrate my birthday, and they kindly prepared a lovely complimentary surprise for me.
The check-in process was perfectly on time; the staff even called to notify me as soon as the room was ready. The valet service made parking hassle-free. For breakfast, I loved the variety, which included both a high-quality à la carte menu and a full buffet line.
What truly stands out is the staff. From the front desk and restaurant team to the housekeepers and security guards, everyone was incredibly polite and professional. It is clear that they have a genuine service mindset. With top-notch facilities, this hotel has everything you need. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Centara Reserve Samui, which is a very beautiful, clean, and well-maintained hotel with incredibly kind and friendly staff. The breakfast selection was great, and the hotel offers excellent facilities. Our room was cleaned several times a day, which was a big plus. The location is also very convenient, close to Central Samui.
However, we felt that there wasn’t much to do at the hotel. Although it is marketed as a resort, there were no activities and no music by the pool, which made the atmosphere quite calm.
Overall, a very beautiful hotel, but if you are looking for a place with more atmosphere, activities, and a lively vibe, this might not be the right choice 🙂

The best hotel we have ever stayed at by an absolute mile. We were incredibly excited for our trip to Cape Fahn, but nothing could have prepared us for just how special this place truly is. From start to finish, it was a flawless, unforgettable experience.
From the moment we arrived at the airport, we were warmly welcomed by Dima, which instantly set the tone for the entire stay. The service from that point on was simply exceptional — every member of staff went out of their way to make us feel relaxed, cared for, and completely at home. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and every small detail was handled perfectly.
The hotel itself is breathtaking. The villas are stunning, and immaculately maintained, offering complete privacy while still feeling luxurious and welcoming - each villa has their own private pool, so cool. The island and beach are absolutely magical - peaceful, pristine, and the perfect escape from the outside world. It genuinely feels like stepping into paradise.
A huge thank you must go to Dima and Neef especially, who were both amazing and truly made our stay even more special. They made the stay even better than it already would have been! If we could give this 100 stars, we would!!

The resort feels very private. Even during breakfast it never felt crowded. Breakfast quality is good with a reasonable spread sufficient for a 5 nights stay. Pastries are very well done with an incredible spread.
Long Dtai, a Michelin guide in-house restaurant, is worth trying for the Southern food and cocktails. Come early for the stunning sunset view.
Cape Fahn operates an adhoc ferry service between the mainland and hotel. Incredibly convenient to do mid-day breaks to try other dining places or explore around. This is a nice feature as compared having to be fully captive within a resort.
Service is great and consistent across all levels of staff - from the boatman to waitresses. Special shout out to Dima & Neef for being great host.

This stay was truly relaxing, and I was very happy with the attentive service from every staff member who took great care of me throughout my stay. A special thank you to Mook, who consistently checked on us to make sure we were well taken care of.
On our first day, we were quite shocked to see that some areas of the hotel were under renovation, which made us very disappointed and even consider moving to another place. However, after we were shown the room and moved to a quieter zone all arranged smoothly by Mook so we decided to stay. It turned out to be the best decision, as we felt relaxed and truly enjoyed the warm hospitality from all the staff.
The hotel also offers a wonderful breakfast restaurant with plenty of choices, but our favorite spot was definitely the Beach Bar. We loved watching the sunset every day while enjoying our evening cocktails such a special moment for us.
We are already planning to return next March with our family and truly hope the renovations will be completed by then. Can’t wait! 🥰

opinion the best resort in the area. The resort has recently been refurbished, all the rooms are spacious, bright and well equipped. The location is right on the beach and a minutes walk into the local village with it's many restaurants and shops.
All the staff were amazing but the best was Mook, the Guest Relations Manager, who was all the time checking to see if we need anything. Our holiday would not have been the same without her. She would make an excellent resort manager.

This was the worst stay I’ve ever experienced. The floor was dirty when we checked in, the shower had extremely low water pressure, and the drain was clogged. After calling the front desk, they sent someone to fix it, but the stains on the floor were never cleaned afterward.
The breakfast was also very poor—probably because most guests are Westerners, the Asian dishes were terribly prepared, as if they were just thrown together without any real effort.
On top of that, the room next door started renovation work at 8 a.m., creating extremely loud noise with no consideration at all for guests who simply wanted to rest.
What was even more unacceptable was that after hanging the “Please clean the room” sign at 9 a.m., we returned around 3 p.m. only to find that the room had not been cleaned at all.
Overall, this hotel was extremely disappointing. Not only do they show no consideration for guests, but their service quality is careless and unprofessional. I will not return, and I do not recommend it.

We absolutely loved staying in this hotel. We stayed there for two nights in December 2025. The pool was amazing and the food was really delicious too. The location was good too. Very calming environment which was good for relaxing. We had a staff member helping us with the luggages his name is “Naif.” He was wonderful and would greet and talk to us whenever he sees us. He is amazing. Naif if you see this, me and my partner both loved talking to you and thank you for the great hospitality provided. We will definitely visit again.

We stayed here in December. To start with, the weather was good. The hotel is a bit older, but the room was good, clean, and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The view was also nice. I can say that the hotel itself is nice, but a big downside is the restaurant and breakfast—they were very poor and felt cheap. We couldn’t eat at the hotel at all; nothing was fresh and there was very little choice for breakfast. That was the only disappointing part. The staff were kind, and special thanks to the reception manager, who was very understanding. We might return someday.

Lovely place. We got the room on the high up hills so the walking up can be struggled sometimes if the buggy service is busy. Walking down to the main lobby / pool / restaurant area is fine. The room is average. Not the most comfiest bed and pillow. The view was absolutely amazing. It’s windy, breezy place.
The downside, since it was at the last building at the back, it was quite noisy even at night from the forest sounds at the back and the Aircond compressor visible right in the room entrance. The management should cover the Aircond compressor with something because it definitely ruin the aesthetic of the resort.
The resort is not suitable for people with walking disabled because of the location and you have to get into the bath up in order to shower. The bidet water pressure is quite funny too.
The main Kamala beach is around 10minutes from the hotel. They do provide schedule transport for drop off and pick up at Kamala beach. There is a small beach right down the hotel which is a bit quiet but be prepared to walk down and up after because no transport provided for this small beach.
Overall, I believe it’s an okay resort (approx 4.5star), apart from the amazing view and friendly staff.

Only the front area that you see in the pictures on their websites is good.
But everything else in the so pathetic.
The room lobby is dirty feels like that of a hostel or a lodge.
The AC outlets are placed right in front of the room door.
There is open drains right in front of the room door.
And most importantly there is no lift even for second floor and that too rooms only with twin bed (without any reference on the website).
The restaurant staff attitude is bad and rude.
Would not suggest to stay at such kind of hotel.
One would definitely get a good room with this budget.

Beautiful resort on the Bo phut beach with spectacular views. Ideal for honeymooners. Spacious rooms with large balconies to relax and chill. Unique ly designed with a bath tub in the middle of the room. It would be nice to have hooks inside toilets and shower rooms to hang towels, clothes, gowns, etc. Curtains for the shower was installed on request. Nice big pool. House keeping staff were very courteous so was TK at the front desk. They also arranged pickup and drop off from and to the Airport. Neat resort with boardwalk that takes you to the Fisherman's Village where you will find restaurants from around the world.

We really enjoyed the hotel and the room in particular. I want to express my appreciation to the service team. My wife forgot something in the room and we discovered it after we left. We contacted the reception team on WhatsApp and they acted immediately and went out of their way to help us and made sure to send it by ferry and with a courier to the hotel on Koh Phangan where we are. When we stay at a hotel, it is quite clear that we expect customer service, but receiving service beyond expectations makes all the difference. Well done to you

The Hansar Samui was a great place to be.
The rooms are nice, clean and modern with a lot of space. The Service is great too. Everyone was nice and helpful. Breakfast was good to. It was not The Biggest breakfast selection we had in thailand but you can easily find food that fits your taste.
The pool is insane. The biggest Infinitiv Pool i ever saw. And an Amazing view to Koh Pangan.
The hotel is on the main streat of the fishermans village, but even with this location quiet. Only one hotel closer you will hear the difference.
If you like a more crouded place, the choice of many Restaurants on the street, but still a place to relax, hansar is the hotel for you!

To be honest, I initially wrote a negative review this year because there were a few disappointments compared to our stay last year. However, the staff handled them very well, patiently, and respectfully, so I've updated the review, and we are completely satisfied again. The breakfast and service are among the best of any 5-star hotel I've ever stayed at. The Club Lounge staff are very attentive and friendly. The pool is wonderfully relaxing. It's a quiet and luxurious resort in the heart of the city.

The Sukhothai Bangkok is undeniably beautiful—peaceful grounds, elegant design, and a truly lovely Club Suite once we were finally settled. Unfortunately, inconsistent service and poor coordination between departments overshadowed what should have been a seamless luxury stay.
After pleasant pre-arrival emails (including confirmed spa bookings), we arrived at 12:15pm on Feb 21 and queued in the main lobby—totally fine. But once we reached the desk and handed over passports, we were told we needed to check in at the Club Lounge across the driveway. There, we were asked for passports again, seated, and left waiting another 45 minutes with no real engagement. The “welcome drink” was Sprite with red syrup and cold towels—after a long travel day, we would have appreciated water. When we asked, only one bottle and one glass were brought for both of us.
We’d booked 1:30pm facials (confirmed by the hotel via email on Feb 8) so we could go straight to the spa while waiting for our room. The lounge staff then questioned whether the booking even existed, took a screenshot of my confirmation, and returned saying the hotel had “no record.” At the spa, we were seated again and then essentially forgotten. When we asked for access to the restroom and facilities before treatment, the response was oddly dismissive.
The facial itself was excellent—and afterwards, a different staff member escorted us to our suite and completed check-in smoothly, which is how the experience should have started.
Other interactions felt similarly unwelcoming: at La Scala we were initially told we’d be seated outside in extreme heat despite the restaurant being nearly empty, and we had to insist on an indoor table. And on Feb 22, we arranged laundry pickup, followed instructions, left early the next morning for a tour—and our laundry was still hanging on the door untouched.
This is a gorgeous property with real potential, but the staff seem undertrained or poorly managed, especially in communication between the club lounge, reception, spa, and restaurant. At this price point, guests shouldn’t have to re-prove confirmed reservations, chase basic follow-through, or feel like an inconvenience.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Sukhothai Spa. The entire space is beautifully designed, incredibly peaceful, and feels like a true escape from the city. From the moment we arrived, everything was calm, elegant, and perfectly organized.
I came for a massage with my mother, and both of us were extremely impressed by the professionalism and care of the therapists. Sara and Por were exceptional. Their technique, pressure, and attention to detail were truly outstanding. They both took the time to understand our preferences and made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire session.
It wasn’t just a massage it felt like a complete wellness experience. The therapists’ skills, combined with the serene atmosphere of the spa, made this one of the best spa visits we’ve ever had in Bangkok.
Huge thanks to Sara and Por for such an amazing treatment. We will definitely be coming back and recommending Sukhothai Spa to our friends and family.

I am a member of this hotel and frequent it often. From the staff to the rooms to the food they never miss a beat. The pool staff is also exceptional and always greets us by name when we return Bird has been a pool attendant there for years and we love to see his face. Nuch( not sure on spelling) she has very very long hair and is out at the pool to she has been around just as long and always fantastic. We were sad to lean ploy one of the mangers has left but her replacement seems very nice as well. They handle any need you may have and do it flawlessly. We always look forward to our next visit

The experience I had was beyond excellent! All the details and warm services are truly deserve a 2-star Michelin rating. The breakfast buffet was a true feast. I will definitely stay here again! Thank you all for providing me such an unforgettable memory. ❤️

Had a great 3 days here.
Staff are amazing and everything is very well organised from arrival to checking out.
Food was of a good standard and a reasonable choice.
It's hard to fault because we had a great time, however we assumed wrongly that it would all be on site like a private game reserve but this is not the case.
Your bused to the elephants and the canoeing which is only about 10 mins and the lake is just over an hour away, this wasn't made clear on the website.
We booked elephant hills mainly to interact with the elephants but this was our first activity and lasted about 1 1/2 hrs, by the time we left you'd sort of forgotten it.
That said we had a great 3 ish days.
Lake trip was good and the cooking / jungle trek was fun too.
We had Ya Ya as a guide for 2 days and she was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable.

We had an incredible stay at Elephant Hills as a family. Everything was extremely well organised from start to finish and the whole experience felt very professional and thoughtfully managed.
The elephant sanctuary was a real highlight. It’s clear how well the elephants are cared for and respected, which made the experience feel very special and responsible. Our children absolutely loved it and were so well looked after by the team.
The excursions were excellent and very well run. Exploring Khao Sok National Park was unforgettable – from canoe trips through the jungle to visiting Cheow Lan Lake and staying at the floating Elephant Hills Rainforest Lake Camp. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking.
The food was fantastic, the service throughout was excellent, and the luxury tents have everything you need for a very comfortable stay.
A truly memorable family experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting this part of Thailand

Well organised jungle camp with elephant experience. Comfortable beds and well equipped tents (no fridge) Meet and feed elephants only about one and a half hours. Canoe trip fun. Camp has a pool and well stocked bar. Food canteen style but home cooked and tasty. Can combine with lake camp around 3hr trip road and boat to get there

We had an amazing time on the 3 day 2 night tour including overnight stay at the lake camp. Everything was perfect and it was seamlessly organised. Massive shoutout to our guide Pearl who was great. She had remembered our whole groups names after the first day which made the experience so much more personal. She led the activities with such enthusiasm and knowledge. The highlight of our Thailand trip for sure!

Firstly, as others have said, the staff and organisation was superb and so was the food. I thought I would provide a different perspective to help people decide if the very high cost is worth it.
The disappointments for me were:
1)The elephant experience was poor compared to our experience in Chiang Mai. At EH the elephants are in a zoo enclosure (a large one but proportionately the same given the number of elephants ). It has electric fence and man made concrete water hole. Two elephants display zoophobia with rhythmic movement with one "dancing" which they explain by saying it had been rescued from a circus. The Chang Mai experience saw the elephants roam around in fields and cool down in the river.
2) EH is built on a major road, with a hotel just down the road. It seemed a little unnecessary to be in tents. It was a nice experience but naively I thought it would be a little more remote.
3) There was terrible noise from longtail boats moving rafts up river throughout the day and until 7pm. Beyond the control of EH.
4) EH use converted cattle trucks to transfer you to activities. Most were only 10 min journeys but one of them is one hour each way and is incredibly bumpy, noisy and hot. Everyone sat in silence rather than trying to shout to be heard. For the money, I would have expected minivans the other tour companies were using.
Hope this helps manage expectations.
