    The Santiburi is a wonderful hotel complex, nestled in spacious, well-maintained gardens. The beach is perfect, with plenty of sun loungers available, as there are by the pool. The service is always professional and very friendly. Special mention must go to the general manager, Giulio, and the head of customer relations, Tanya. They are extremely personable, very committed, always on hand and approachable. We built up an almost friendly relationship during our two-week stay. We will come back!

    I had an incredible stay at Santiburi Resort & Spa in Koh Samui. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel truly at home super friendly, welcoming, and warm, just like a family. Everywhere you go, whether it’s the reception, the spa, or the dining areas, the staff are genuinely helpful, down-to-earth, and always smiling. I’ll admit, I almost didn’t book this resort because of a few negative reviews, but I’m so glad I experienced it for myself. The resort is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and has such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere that I didn’t even feel like leaving the property. A big shout-out to the Thai night dining restaurant for their amazing food dinner there was a highlight of the trip. Truly delicious! Overall, every penny was worth it. Santiburi Resort & Spa exceeded my expectations in every way, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Koh Samui. I can’t wait to come back. From room 414

    We stayed at Santiburi Resort and had a wonderful experience. The apartment was very clean, beautiful, and located just a few steps from the ocean, which made our stay even more special. One truly special highlight was the staff at the beach towel service — they were amazing and incredibly friendly. They made us feel so welcome that it honestly felt like we were living there, not just visiting. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality stay on Koh Samui.

    The hotel is good in general but does not live up to 5 stars. Need to keep in mind that it is very old. The air conditioners are very-very loud, what is the part on being old, I guess. Our villa was also very and needs major renovation. For me it was not a great problem, but still, something to keep in mind when booking. The staff is very-very nice and friendly! Always doing their very best and trying to help. Such a pleasure to deal with. Kids club is great for rainy days there is something to do there for kids of all ages! So many nice toys! We spent rainy days there. The beach is also with nice and wide sunbeds, towels and drinking water. And great service! But the sad and unexciting part of our stay was food. Initially my plan was not to leave the hotel for meal and just have all 3 meals there. But that had to be adjusted after first days of our stay. The food is just unexciting and nothing to look forward to. Most of the time the food we order arrived cold. I also got an undercooked fish and pizza that had raw dough. It is generally extremely salty and swimming in oil. Not sure what seasoning they use, but even when asked to cook plain chicken soup that was on kids’ menu without salt, it still was very salty, and my child was not able to eat it. The hotel does not have many food options nearby, no deliveries are allowed so taxi is needed. We were generously offered by GM not be charged for a couple of meals we did not end up eating but that did not happen when we were checking out and staff was not aware of it. Also, another unappealing thing about food were food flies in the salad bar every morning. The fruit bar hard covers, salad bar did not, and it was full of tiny flies every day, and staff seemed not to care about it. So, in general, it was not a bad stay but probably one of the worst hotel food I ever encountered.

    We just returned from a vacation at Santiburi. We had mixed feelings as some things stood out positively, but some things from our perspective really hurt the experience. Pros: - Our villa (one bedroom with pool) was outstanding. We really enjoyed our little oasis. - The staff who cleaned the villa deserves 5*. Always had a great attitude and did fantastic work. - The location had pros and cons: good coffee walking distance and not far from the fisherman’s village. But there was always horrible traffic (not the hotel‘s fault of course) when leaving and coming back. Cons: - Our biggest negative point was the fact that the hotel blocked Grab access while on their WiFi. They told us it is due to the „bad internet“- interesting as everything else worked perfectly on the WiFi, we encountered zero issues with streaming. This for us is really shameful. Trying to sell us their personal car service at prices 40% higher than offered via Grab app. When we got an ESIM and disconnected from their WIFI this was resolved. - Breakfast was lacking and could definitely use an upgrade (a few more western options would be appreciated). We found it quite basic compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at on Koh Samui. - The kids club: we cannot understand the positive feedback. The kids club itself really needs a revamp. It smells musty and had an old carpet throughout. We are extremely experienced with kids clubs globally Anton Koh Samui- this was our least favorite. Andrang time be tried to bring them even for 20-30 min they always tried to „sell“ an activity with a few. I know this is normal in Thailand, but here we found it extreme. In one case when we wanted to leave the kids there for just 35 min, without a paid activity, at pick up we found them sitting bored on the side doing nothing as all the tables were allocated for paid activities. Also we felt the people working there, specifically thematic person was not very positive or warm towards the kids. - the beach was ok but not one of the better ones we’ve experienced on Koh Samui.
