Idyllic location on a beautiful piece of beach about 40 minutes drive from Koh Samui airport. The resort is an older but well maintained build, lushly planted with a maze terraces and steps to meander around while soaking up the views and incredible scenery. Provisioned with 3 beautifully maintained swimming pools of various family friendly depths, you can choose to hang out in the banana lounges, or a number of cabanas while sipping on one of the many tasty beverages the resort has to offer. From the centrally located bar, the beach is just a few short steps away where you can safely swim in protected turquoise waters behind the rock bar, or lay on the beach soaking up the warm Thailand sun. We booked one of the numerous private pool villas that provided a quiet place to enjoy the serenity while floating around away from other guests any time of the day or night. The restaurant provides an extensive range of western style dishes, but you would do yourself a disservice to miss the incredibly tasty local Thai foods on offer. Do not miss the spicy stir fried pork with hot basil, chilli and garlic or the Massaman beef curry. The on-site day spa is a tranquil place to unwind with a Thai massage. You can't go wrong with either Lenny or Ae looking after you. The staff are nothing short of the superstars of this resort. Any request no matter how minor is met with the greatest level of assistance accompanied by a beaming smile. We truly felt warmly welcomed and taken care of. The bar queen, Mam makes a mean long island iced tea, which is a perfect refreshment for doing the hard work of sitting under an umbrella by the sea.

The location of Centara is pretty much perfect if you’ve come for an escape near the beach. They offer shuttle services to go elsewhere where if you fancy which is great for those who don’t plan on spending the entire day by the pool or beach. Service was great! Food and drinks were amazing, and Mam was incredibly friendly and always there to make sure we were happy with our food or drinks. The cocktails were amazing! Highly recommend the coconut margarita. The resort is lovely, loads to stairs to burn off the holiday eating and very family friendly. Overall, I recommend Centara to those looking for a nice getaway in Koh Samui!

I really loved everything about this place! Mostly the hotel staff made this experience special. ANU and MAM warmly welcomed us every day for dinner and AON made the best cocktails to enjoy our evenings. The staff at the lobby helped us in every way possible if we needed any information. The private hotel beach was a clear bonus, as the other beaches around were quiet touristic. The hotel itself is very clean and beautiful, we loved our cosy room. I can highly recommand this hotel to everyone!

We had a wonderful stay at Centara. A beautiful location with few distractions. The perfect resort for quiet and relaxation. The pools were clean and felt like swimming in fresh water without the taste or smell of chlorine. The staff were warm and professional, providing exceptional service. A special thank you to Mam who was a delight adding much value to our overall stay. Value for money.

There is so much to love about this hotel. The location is isolated with no bars or restaurants close by, the restaurant is reasonably priced for food and drinks but does get boring after a few days especially breakfast. One of the best resort beaches iv ever visited, warm water with lovely sand and shallow as you walk out. What they don't disclose is the resort is on a 35 degree angle slope with reception at the top and bars/restaurant next to the beach, we were lucky our room was next to the beach, however it would be a nightmare if you were half way up or above as you would need to desend or climb the staircases everything to go out or come back. I'm 62 and very mobile but it is a struggle to get to reception from the bottom!! The rooms are starting to age, but still conformable with a huge bed and nice linen. Would I come back?? Yes as long i was in a beach side room.
