NH Collection Samui Peace Resort

This is our second time at Peace. Came about 3 years ago before the up graded deck and it being bought out by NH Collection I was a little bit worried it would have lost a bit of its laid back atmosphere. I shouldn't have. The up grades have been the cherry on top. Some of the staff from last visit are still here. Shout out to Patrick who remembered us! The staff are the key to Peace. They are so genuinely friendly and go out of there way to make your stay as perfect as possible . Patrick, Arr ,Rainbow and Creamy are the stoundouts so far after our first 2 days. I'm sure I will have add more names to this review. Breakfast is amazing and its enough to keep us going till a light snack at lunch. The chefs do fantastic dinner specials as well . Being right on the beach at BhoPhat makes it nice and quite. Lots of couples and families here but if you want some night-life Chawang is only 20.min away. Fishermans village is a 5 min walk down the beach and it has plenty of restaurants and bars . The markets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights are the best on the island.

Highly recommended! We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out, everything was perfect. The rooms are beautiful, modern, and spotlessly clean. What truly sets this place apart is the staff everyone was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and went above and beyond to provide excellent service. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety, the pool area was fantastic, and having access to a well-organized beach made our vacation seamless.

A well appointed and clean hotel. Staff have been exceptional and overall service was excellent. Patrick in the pool area went above and beyond in ensuring our comfort. Ben in the bar and restaurant was also highly engaged and friendly. Facilities are very clean which made the entire experience very comfortable. General facilities with massage, cocktail bar, gym all very nice. Style is modern with a splash of MCM. Close walk to Samui town area and Fishermans village. My wife and I enjoyed our stay. Well done!

We are currently still staying at this hotel. Overall, the hotel is not bad, but considering the premium price, we expected a much higher standard. On the positive side, most of the staff are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Unfortunately, a few employees seemed rather unfriendly or unmotivated. We booked a room for three guests, yet the balcony only has two chairs. They are also quite uncomfortable, as they have no proper cushions. In addition, the room offers very limited storage space. Although the hotel kindly provided us with extra hangers upon request, there is no proper wardrobe, so we have had to live out of our suitcases throughout our stay. The hangers are also too large for children's clothing. The restaurant and bar close at 11:00 p.m. Although the staff encouraged us to order one last cocktail at 10:57 p.m., we were asked to leave immediately after it was served because they were closing. After 11:00 p.m., access to the beach through the hotel is no longer possible. Food and beverages at the hotel are significantly overpriced. The restaurants and supermarkets next door offer comparable or even better quality at roughly one-third of the price. At the same time, guests are not allowed to consume any food or drinks purchased outside the hotel anywhere on the property. The beach also did not meet our expectations. The sand is quite coarse, and the seabed is mostly muddy, making swimming less enjoyable. Upon arrival, we were required to pay a €150 security deposit. Having stayed at several hotels in Thailand, this was a first for us. We also spoke with other guests who told us they had booked this hotel because it had been advertised as an "Adults Only" property on their booking platform. In reality, it is a family resort. This should be communicated more clearly to avoid misleading future guests. Overall, our stay has been pleasant, but the experience does not justify the price. We expected considerably better value for money and would most likely choose a different hotel on our next visit to Koh Samui.

We are just back from a week at the NH Samui Peace hotel and overall had a good stay. As many other reviews have stated, the hotel grounds and surrounds are beautiful, and the hotel is in a great location, just a quick walk either along the beach or main road to fisherman’s village where there are a lot of dinning choices. What lets this hotel down and also mentioned by others are the rooms. We were in a superior villa which was a good size and nice and quiet, but is just old and in need of a refurb. There is no where to unpack and store belongings except for some hanging space, and though kept well, you can see the furniture is worn. It wouldn’t take much to do a soft refurb of the rooms and bring them up to a more current state. As others have also mentioned the food and drinks are overly priced. We did eat lunch by the pool for convenience but you’re much better off to head out for dinner, even across the road from the hotel where you can get delicious Thai for a quarter of the price. The included buffet offered a great range of different options and we weren’t bored with the selection over our seven days. Overall it was a good stay but I’d probably look elsewhere if I was heading to Samui again.
