From the moment we arrived at Pimalai, everything felt effortless. The staff greeted us with warmth and genuine smiles that instantly set the tone for the entire stay. The resort itself is breathtaking — set right between lush jungle and a pristine beach that looks like it belongs on a postcard. Our villa was stunning: spacious, private, and perfectly maintained, with incredible views and every small detail thought through. The beach is quiet and clean, the pools are amazing (especially the infinity pool overlooking the bay), and the food — from breakfast to dinner — was outstanding. What really stood out, though, was the service. Every single member of staff went above and beyond — from the buggy drivers to the restaurant team — always kind, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. Pimalai isn’t just a resort; it’s a complete escape. Peaceful, elegant, and absolutely worth every minute of the journey to get here. If you’re looking for true Thai hospitality and world-class relaxation — this is it.

A fantastic 5 days spent in a Beach suite (312). We arrived late in the evening in the dark, and taken by buggy to our spacious suite, large sitting room, galley kitchen/coffee making facilities, large bathroom with massive bath and shower. Bedroom was also enormous overlooking a large enclosed garden with a pathway opening right onto the beach. A water monitor (circa 3ft long) walking across the lawn, added to a "At one with nature" experience. Gym and sports facilities were very good, I would have loved a Padel Court onsite... But that's because I'm an addict, but the Pickle and tennis courts looked good. The bars / restaurants were all great as were the fantastic staff, all very attentive, when we did have an issue (Bose speaker not charging... 1st world problem I know!) it was sorted within 5 mins. We both visited the Spa... I'm not one for massages etc normally, but it was very relaxing in a beautiful setting and would definitely do an it again (30 min Herbal scrub + 60 min massage). Along the beach was the "Why Not Bar" which gave a good alternative option for lunch/dinner and 7Eleven around the corner. A perfect venue, it's going to be difficult to beat this one on our 6 week tour around the islands of Thailand.

My wife and I stayed at Pimalai hillside villa our first 4 nights upon arriving in Thailand for our first ever visit to the country - astounding! Ordered room service first two nights because we were so tired from traveling from Chicago (via Vermont) and it was some of the best Thai food we’ve ever had. The staff, from check in to check out were among the most professional and pleasant people we’ve experienced traveling. Nancy at Seven Seas was SO GREAT and Aui who checked us in equally exceptional! Only names I can recall at this point but literally every buggy driver and bartender etc went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. General vibe and views at the resort were also top notch. Really enjoyed lunch on the beach at Rak Talay a few times and our one meal at Spice n Rice was extremely romantic and memorable. Only left the resort for a brief moment to hit the 7-11in town for a few things, such was the comfort and hospitality level. We will definitely return someday.

"Tropical Paradise" The property is exceptionally well maintained, with thoughtful landscaping and an exotic atmosphere. The staff is attentive and friendly with service often exceeding expectations. The room is spacious, clean with beautiful sea as well as garden view. Two swimming pools are peaceful with stunning ocean view. Resort restaurants offer special events daily like Hot Pot dinner, Steak & Wine Night etc. The spa is super nice as well with their exotic atmosphere and skilled therapists. Pimalai Resort and Spa is one of the best places to stay in Thailand. I strongly recommend this tropical paradise to couple, family as well as honeymooner. You won't be disappointed.

Honeymooners! You have found the absolutely best place to spend at least a few nights if you are going to Thailand, Koh Lanta, or still undecided. Plan your trip around staying in one of their amazing hillside villas overlooking the bay. My wife and I wish would we have spent more than just 4 days and 3 nights here. It was heaven on earth. The hotel, its multiple restaurants and villas are built seamlessly into the jungle hillside. Getting around is no challenge - just pick up the phone and they'll have a shuttle heading your way in minutes. They'll drop off and pick up from the beach or any other location on the property. The villas themselves feel very high end and luxurious. They offer very comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, and powerful air conditioning. The day bed and infinity pool overlooking the bay offers what feels like a once in a life time experience. Once you go infinity - its hard to back. The beach bar has plenty of drinks to choose from and they run a happy hour every night. During the day, you can order from one of the many cabanas that are set-up for the explicit use of hotel guests. Free beach towels included. The menus at the restaurants are expansive and you'll be able to dine multiple times without eating the same thing twice. Unless of course you enjoyed the deep-fried crab which was amazing! Be on the lookout for wildlife! There are tons of geckos around and we ran into a monitor lizard while heading out to dinner. Mosquitos weren't much of a problem when we went in February. We wore scented wrist bands that did the trick. Its going to rain at some point during your vacation - its Thailand. So have the right expectations and you'll be ok. Having to tough out a day of rain really isn't so bad in one of the most magical places on earth. Getting to and from the resort is typically done by boat and they have their own private dock and boats. This was the best run boat operation you'll see in Thailand - safest experience on water by far. We cannot wait to come back!
