Spent five nights here in winter 2020 (just before the COVID outbreak). Our room was fine, nothing special. Housekeeping (or other staff members) would let themselves into our room on several occasions without knocking or announcing themselves at all. Restaurant service was mostly abysmal, with over 45 minutes of waiting for any dinner service on our first night. The beach was a bust, because we couldn’t sit in peace for even a moment without some type of saleperson approaching us to try and sell us their wares. Absolutely wouldn’t come here again.

After flying 10hours from France and not knowing what to expect , I can say that I spent an amazing 10 days vacation in Be Live Collection Adults Only Punta Cana with my mother in every way.
The hotel is very clean, cozy,and beautifully designed. The rooms are very spacious, clean and have very comfortable beds.
The chefs and the staff are very friendly having always a service with a smile.
The food was very fresh and tasty with lots of variety .
The beach was beautiful and long , great for walks.
In addition the General Manager and Nicolas from the VP desk were very attentive to our needs and made us feel like home.
I highly recommend this hotel and will definitively come back even if I have to fly another 10hours ! :)

My family and I came to this hotel for our summer holiday in July, it was lovely! Amazing views and generally quite clean, we had a few issues with our first room but was quickly and easily sorted! The food in the buffet is quite simple but the restaurant system is very good. All of the staff are super friendly and welcoming, most of them speak English too which is great. The entertainment is great with something different everyday, biggest appreciation to ‘sexy belly’ who never fails to make everyone laugh! All around a nice experience and would recommend, definitely would visit this hotel again.

Been here 3x and 5x over all in Dominican. Place has always treated me, my family and friends extremely well. If you had bad service your probably cheap (tips) or rude to them. I tipped well and they never stopped serving me and remembered us 2 years later. Room and resort was always super clean. The buffet was great. The Steak house wasn’t my favourite but remember where you are the beef ain’t like back home. But the other a la carts were delicious. One down fall is the ocean water you have to walk a little bit to have nice water. But this place have multiple pools. If you enjoy staying out late they have a amazing disco. 24 hour snack bar with wings, pizza and burgers was great at 3am. Best bang for your money hands down.

The resort is very good for young people. The food is delicious and there are a lot of activities you can do. Our room was big and clean, so we had nothing to complain about. Every evening is a program on the stage next to the main bar from different artists and also the animators. The animators are all very nice and fun. I espacially liked Daniel, we played Soccer at the beach and he helped me out at the hotels gym. I really recommend coming to this resort.

We had an amazing stay at this resort! The property was beautiful, clean, and had a great atmosphere. Not a 5-star experience (by European standards)
This was meant to be the perfect ending to a holiday celebrating my mum’s birthday. Instead, it brought stress and disappointment. We stayed only 3 nights and were relieved it wasn’t longer.
Check-in already started poorly with a 45-minute delay and no proactive updates - we had to repeatedly ask if our room was ready. Although a dinner was offered to compensate for an initial staff mistake, the overall issues went far beyond that.
Room problems included: cold shower on the first night, broken toilet seat, shower area falling apart, WiFi not working properly, broken bedside lamp, and a window that wouldn’t fully close.
In the common areas, maintenance and service were below 5-star standards: stained restaurant interiors, multiple chairs with bird droppings, beach towels with stains and holes, long waits at the towel kiosk, and no available sunbeds at the beach due to early “towel reservations.” Some staff members were also unhelpful when looking for a table, simply saying “está ocupado” instead of assisting.
The most disappointing part was the lack of proper follow-up from Princess’ main customer care department. An apology and a discounted future upgrade do not compensate for the experience we had.
To be fair: the gardens are beautiful, wildlife around the resort is lovely, food quality is good, beds are comfortable, and the evening entertainment is enjoyable.
With better maintenance and stronger service standards, this could match its 4.6 rating. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

My experience at this resort has far exceeded my expectations. Plenty of options for fun, relaxation, dining, and the Animation Team is outstanding!! We did morning yoga/stretch with Flabio on the beach which was an awesome unique experience. There are game contests at the pool for all ages, and nightly shows with amazing staff talent. The food everywhere was very good, the staff professional and friendly, every single day felt like a luxurious relaxing respite. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The room was decent and bed comfortable. I was pleased and will return! Thank you to all of the staff who took personal interest in us during our stay and made it extra special.

We went here 3 times and we were extremely satisfied every time. The food is good, at breakfast, lunch and supper it was great. There are also many more restaurants around the hotel like an Italian one, a Dominican one and many more. The ocean, the rooms, the beach, the buffet, everything was very clean and well maintained. We will come back to this hotel for our next visit to Dominican Republic!

We had an amazing stay and the staff truly made the experience unforgettable.
A special thank you to Flabio from the entertainment team. He was incredible — he taught me how to dance to Dominican music, helped my family and I with the archery activities, and even took time to help me improve my Spanish. He was so friendly and really made our stay extra fun.
Also a big thank you to Ana at reception who helped us book a restaurant for my mother’s birthday. She was so helpful and made the celebration really special for us.
We’d also like to thank the cleaner who looked after our room. Unfortunately I didn’t catch her name, but she was an older lady with blonde and grey hair. She was wonderful, always kind and did such a great job.
Overall the stay was fantastic. The staff were so warm and welcoming and made our holiday truly memorable. We’re so grateful for such a lovely experience.

Tropical Deluxe Princess
We stayed here as a family of four and unfortunately did not have a good experience.
The grounds were well-kept and the pools were enjoyable, which were the only real positives for us.
Our first room was unacceptable. It was infested with ants and other bugs, there was other people’s hair and belongings in the bed, dirt and sand on the floor, and hair and dirt inside the drawers. You could wipe the furniture and dust would come off on your hand. We requested to be moved but were not relocated the first night.
When we were moved the next day, it was clear the room had only been surface-cleaned. There was still a smell, and dirt and hair were visible in cracks and corners. We later found a cockroach, and the solution was simply to spray the room.
On top of this, during our stay we were approached to attend a timeshare presentation, which felt very off-putting given the issues we were already dealing with.
This is the first vacation where we genuinely wanted to leave early. For the price and expectations of an all-inclusive resort, cleanliness and guest comfort should be non-negotiable. Sadly, this was not our experience, and we would not return.
Abd-Almeneim abukwaik
We recently stayed at this resort and overall had a lovely experience. The property is very clean, nicely renovated, and family-friendly, making it a great choice for a relaxing getaway. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, which we really appreciated.
There are, however, a few areas that could be improved:
The AC in the rooms needs an upgrade. We had to change rooms three times, and each one had issues with humidity and poor cooling.
The food could be better, especially by offering more kid-friendly options such as chicken strips, French fries, fried shrimp, and fried calamari. The seafood selection was also below expectations.
I noticed many reviews mention friendly staff, and while everyone we met was polite and helpful, the overall warmth and enthusiasm felt a bit missing — a few more smiles would make guests feel even more welcome.
We had some difficulty communicating in English, as around 80% of the staff we interacted with did not speak it well. However, this wasn’t a big issue for us — everyone tried their best to assist, which we truly appreciated.
Overall, it’s a beautiful, clean, and family-oriented resort with a lot of potential. With small improvements in comfort, food variety, and communication, it could easily become a perfect five-star destination!

We just got back from a week at this resort! The grounds are very lovely and lots of spots to check out as the resort is quite large. Lots of activities and plenty of food options at each buffet, the Italian a la carte was by far the best one we tried!! The things that I would love to see change would be the beach towel service, there are 3 pools and the towel service is only provided at one. Every other time we went to get new towels for the day we were told they didn’t have any and would have to check back later. It was quite frustrating. The other issue was that ALL the pool chairs and beach chairs were taken by 8:30 am every day, there were some chairs taken that I didn’t see any person use once, I wish this was monitored so that people actually wanting to use chairs had access to them. Also there should be signs around the kid pool that the chairs are reserved for families, I don’t understand why older people without kids were over there taking up the space when that’s where families will be swimming. They were smoking and butting out their cigarettes on the ground which should absolutely NOT be done on the side where children would be. Other than that everything else was great, the staff were all amazing and the entertainment team does an outstanding job! Would recommend this resort for sure.

We stayed for a week at this resort. Don't even know where to start. The rooms had AC that barely worked and it smelled like a public bathroom. They just sprayed some kind of air freshener to mask the smell. The mini fridge was room temperature. There were a ton of mosquitos inside the rooms and we all got bit at least 20 times each. We complained to the front desk who said they'll fumigate and never did.
Their housekeeping would clean the rooms and take all the bath towels and not give them back. We had to call them multiple times just to get towels.
Food was subpar it felt like we were eating the same food every day because we couldn't get reservations even though we tried within the second day. I have no idea what kind of meat they put in their burger but it was strange.
The Wi-Fi worked 10% of the time. The only saving grace was that the beach was decent and we enjoyed the pool and the beach. The staff made some of our time there fun at least.
I won't be coming back. I would suggest to go to a different resort for a better time.

Excellent service and clean environment. It is a adults only resort with open bars throughout the resort. They have dining options as well as different themes each day. The staff is very friendly and happy to help guests. They also provide excursion information if you would like to try them. We will definitely be returning in the future.

My mom has some health issues and my dad said that they were treated exceptionally every year they went. The restaurants and a la carts were top notch. An amazing vacation for them!

I stayed here with a friend for five nights, and the experience was “almost good” but disappointing.
The food was fine but very bland and repetitive. Pro tip: find the coffee espresso machines early and walk down the beach to the sister resort because their buffet has more selection. 3/10 for food.
The pool and beach chair situation is frustrating. Guests wake up around 6am to reserve chairs for the entire day, so if you don’t go early, you’re out of luck. There simply aren’t enough chairs, which defeats the purpose of a resort. On top of that, towels were often unavailable, we waited up to an hour for clean ones, which shouldn’t be an issue at all.
On the beach, you’re constantly approached by vendors (including some affiliated with the resort), which gets tiring when you’re just trying to relax.
The alcohol packages are interesting. With the basic package, you’re served well-grade alcohol. Upgrading helps, but even after several drinks, it was surprisingly hard to feel much of anything.
Overall, the resort is decent for the price point but if your budget allows, I’d recommend paying more for a better experience.

We stayed at Punta Cana Princess for a week. While the resort grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful, our overall experience was disappointing.
Unfortunately, the food quality did not meet our expectations. The buffet selection was very similar across all restaurants (including the sister resort), and we found it difficult to find fresh and enjoyable meals. The quality of meat and fish was especially disappointing, so I mostly ate salads and fruit during our stay. Fruit was good, desserts were okay, but overall food quality could be improved.
We also visited several à la carte restaurants: Mexican (Steakhouse), Italian, Mediterranean, and Swiss Fondue. The Swiss fondue was the best option for us, although portions were small and side dishes were limited. The other restaurants, however, did not stand out in terms of food quality.
Additionally, my husband experienced stomach issues during our stay, so we would recommend guests to be cautious with food and drinks, especially beverages with ice.
Another thing worth mentioning is the room design. The bathroom and shower have glass doors, which look modern but offer very little privacy. Even for a couple, this can feel uncomfortable.
Overall, the resort has a beautiful atmosphere and great staff, but food quality and room privacy are areas that definitely need improvement. We hope this feedback helps management enhance the guest experience in the future.

We spent in that hotel 10 days. Hotel was great, staff helped suitcases to the room and when checked out took them to lobby area. Hotel itself if nice, staff very friendly. We had no problems at all. Lots of sunbeds at swimming area and beach, beach was just near to swimming pool area. Food was okay, but we understand it as there are lots of tourists to feed. We preferred buffet. Also we tried other restaurants, they were nice too. Staff everywhere are just amazing. Room cleaned every day, new towels every day. Beach was clean and nice, had some rocks in the water, but not a big deal. Hotel had lots of trip out choices, so we went for 4 trips. I would definitely come back again ❤️

The hotel is large and has a lot to offer: a beautiful beach, pools, games, attractions for children, and restaurants from around the world. Everyone will find something for themselves. I really liked the hotel app on my phone, because I could make restaurant reservations at any time and check the attractions for a given day. A note to all spa lovers: you can't miss it. These are top-notch services. I had the full Rainforest package: hot stone massage, sauna, and jacuzzi. I'd like to thank Elba, who gave me the best massage ever.I will never forget that feeling.

Of course, you will say this is not true and that almost no guests were sick. However, I spoke to many people around the hotel and did not meet a single person who did not have the same problem.
When I went to reception to report this, the young man there was extremely rude. Instead of listening or showing concern, he became defensive and dismissive. This seems to be how the hotel deals with problems: deny everything and blame the guests.
In our last few days, the situation became shocking. People were vomiting around the buffet during meal times. Only then did the hotel start giving out hand sanitiser before entering the restaurant. But the problem is not the guests. Something is seriously wrong with the water, the food, or the hygiene. Instead of properly investigating, the hotel keeps saying they are “not aware” of any issue.
This was not our first trip to the Dominican Republic, and we have never experienced anything like this before.
For anyone who has already booked this hotel, please be careful:
• Do not drink the water they pour into your glass during meals
• Do not use ice
For us, pizza and French fries were the only food we felt safe eating.
This was clearly not a virus. Babies who were fed mainly on their mothers’ milk, formula, or food brought by their parents stayed healthy. That says a lot.
This experience was stressful and upsetting. What should have been a relaxing holiday turned into constant worry about getting sick. I would never return and strongly warn others to think carefully before booking this hotel.

The stay was overall good : very nice staff (especially Erik at the breeze bar, and Joan as restaurants supervisor), good and abundant food, comfortable beds, nice beach, good tennis equipment with free light until 7pm, etc.
We also appreciated that most of the à la carte restaurants don't require reservation and that you don't need bracelet to stay in this hotel.
Let me point out some little minus that could be improved:
- the two small pools which are supposed to be hot tubs or whirlpools are neither of the two.
- only one main pool, not suitable for swimming (not a big problem with the warm and calm sea just nearby).
- only one shower near the beach, a bit too far from the sea and often congested.
- the beach bar is too often congested, could be better with one or two more employees.
- daytime animation program is not "sporty" enough : sometimes ping-pong, never tennis nor badminton. Mostly childish games.
- sunbeds in the shadow not so easy to find after 7am, there are signs saying not to reserve them but it's not enforced. Maybe some staff you warn that they remove them at a certain moment in the morning when the sunbeds are obviously unused for a while?
- last but not least : the beach should have a limited smoking zone in order to keep the non-smokers comfortable.
We would go back again if we have time among other travel plans.

The hotel has a very beautiful territory, the nature is stunning and it’s a wonderful place for walking and relaxing. We also enjoyed the food and the overall atmosphere.
However, there were several downsides. The room was very humid and had a musty smell, and unfortunately many pieces of furniture had visible mold. Because there are no mosquito screens on the windows, it’s impossible to open them for fresh air without letting insects inside.
The rooms clearly need renovation, and the photos online are quite misleading.
We also experienced issues with the service. Since guests cannot make tea or coffee themselves, you have to ask the staff to bring it. At the El Gaucho Restaurant, where we had breakfast and lunch, it was very difficult to get any drinks. Even after reminding the staff three times, nothing was brought, which was quite disappointing. This problem could easily be solved by simply providing hot water, tea, and coffee for self-service.
Overall, the hotel looks beautiful and has a pleasant design. If the rooms were renovated and the service improved, we would consider coming back.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. The service was consistently friendly, professional, and attentive without being overwhelming.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Housekeeping did a great job every day. The food exceeded our expectations — there was a great variety, everything was fresh, and the à la carte restaurants were especially impressive.
The hotel grounds are beautiful and well kept, with plenty of space to relax. The beach and pool areas were clean and enjoyable, and there were always activities available for those who wanted entertainment.
Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for the experience it provides. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended!

Just came back from my honeymoon and we had the best time.
The rooms and grounds are clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Food wise, we were impressed with all restaurants and the buffet and cannot say we had one bad meal.

Just got home last Thursday and cannot say enough good things about the Bávaro Princess! We stayed in a villa, which was roomy and comfortable. The beach is magnificent, the people are great, the food was delicious. The big pool was so much fun with pool games, including kayak races in the pool. The swim up bar was fantastic with great bartenders. The best part? … it’s all-inclusive! Came home to NY cold weather, so I miss it even more. The weather was perfect there❣️

Overall my experience met and exceeded my expectations. The staff of the hotel are second to none in there friendliness, and overall experience they give people. The resort itself is long. Alot of walking from one end to the next. Their pool is designed similar to a river. The resort was clean and was well maintained and the food and drink was outstanding.
The room itself was always cleaned but they are small. The toilets are clean but the flushing isn't powerful.
For amenities this resort was outstanding. It had a waterpark, beautiful snack bars, a kid zone, great evening shows (but there is only like 6 and they repeat).
Overall this was a great experience for my family. Well worth the money and we have zero regrets.

Full honest review. The Wyndham Altra has been above expectations for me. Rooms are clean, the hotel amenities look new and renovated. The staff is great. The beach and pool are awesome. People complaining about humidity in the rooms are not visiting resorts often. It's a humid country, what can you do. The rooms smell fresh, not musty or humid. There's a little rust here and there but no mold. Sea salt and humidity will make anything rust, no biggy.
The food is good and fresh. Where the hotel could do better is providing some storage bins/shelves on the beach and especially at the Splash Island (water park) for guests to leave beach bags, towels, tongs, etc. Reserving the limited amount of lounging chairs is discouraged (and that's completely fair!!!) but we definitely need an alternative to store basic beach or pool goer supplies.

This was my first trip, my first resort and my first time outside of Canada. I am so happy, this resort was so amazing. Friendly staff, energetic and actually loved their jobs (or are good at faking it haha) The food was amazing and no shortage of it! Drinks were great and very fast service. The pool is perfect for kids and adults. Great little spots along the pool to eat and drink so you don’t have to go far. We will be back with our kids next time. I am so happy we came here! We had a wonderful stay at Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana and really enjoyed our time at the resort. The atmosphere, facilities, and service made our vacation very relaxing and memorable.
A special thank you goes to Maireni from the Coco Bar. He really made our stay even more enjoyable. Every time we saw him he welcomed us with a big smile and great energy. He was always friendly, communicative, and very funny, which made spending time at the bar even more fun.
What we also noticed was that he treated all the other guests around us with the same positive attitude and kindness.

We recently stayed at the Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana and overall had a good trip, though the experience was a bit mixed. The resort itself was generally clean and well maintained, and the grounds are very pretty. The pool area in particular is beautiful and a nice place to spend the day. However, we did notice that the pool tended to get a bit scummy as the day went on and actually stained our bathing suits.
Our room was comfortable and mostly clean, but there were a few maintenance issues. The biggest one was that the toilet ran constantly during our stay, which was a little frustrating and made the room feel less polished than expected.
The food was one of the more disappointing parts of the stay. the buffet in particular (the only option for breakfast) was generally not very good, and the options felt repetitive and limited. Across the resort there were nor many alternatives either, so it often felt like there weren't great choices for meals. While we managed to find things to eat each day, the overall quality and variety were definitely below what we expected.
One area where the experience varied quite a bit was the staff. A few employees truly went above and beyond and were incredibly friendly and helpful, which helped make parts of the trip special. However, many other staff members were less engaged and not particularly friendly (especially at the pool side bars). So, the overall service experience was less than expected with a couple glimmers.
Despite these issues, we still had a good time, but I think that has more to do with us than the resort. If food and service are not priorities for your stay, then it can be an enjoyable stay.

We stayed for 8 days and on day 3 finally got to use the swim out we paid for and day 8 finally got hot shower! Pool wasn’t filled water was stagnant shower water cool. I tried the spa it was very disappointing they talked me into the longest facial and massage to say I would get the Hydro water treatment but they told me no in my scheduled day and to come back another for it they overbooked. We paid for preferred and every day they were trying to sell us for $30-$40 extra per person a special dinner that they were hosting every evening. The restaurants On the resort didn’t require reservations because they were not that busy but the same food is serve served at every restaurant just in a different presentation manner. Food was less than good. We’re also supposed to get a butler. We only got a butler the last three days of service who wasn’t really able to do very much for us but apologize for the pool and apologize for lack of warm water because they needed to get parts to fix the water system, but that should’ve been told to us upon check-in which the room wasn’t even ready at 4 pm. I travel often And I’ve been to this country before this was a budget resort not a 4 star by any stretch. The dreams resorts are definitely in my opinion becoming less of a dream destination and a service yourself and don’t expect much resort destination. Save your money and pick a better all inclusive. Another thing you will not get any peace and quiet they do all of the evening activities right out by the rooms of the swim outs in the balcony rooms. You will hear nothing but chaos Monday through Sunday..

Had a wonderful time at this resort. It is in a wonderful location, just a few resorts down from a national park if you want to explore some trails, with a gorgeous beach that is surrounded by tide pools.
Room was nice and was cleaned daily with the mini bar consistently restocked.
95% of the staff were absolutely lovely and service was excellent for the most part. Best bar is by far the lobby bar, they can serve everyone premium alcohol (other bars it is only for preferred members) and it is open the latest. The bar by the beach is hit and miss but ideal for convenience.
Food is good for the most part. There is a lot of variety for dinner (we thought the French and Japanese restaurants were the best). Breakfast buffet is repetitive and was the lowest quality of all three daily meals, but was still good. The two spots for lunch were good.
Biggest cons: consistent badgering by staff and vendors to sell you stuff and it can be difficult to find beach loungers under shade if weather is good (we were always able to, but we were usually out by 8:30am).
Overall, we would return to this resort.

3 stars for what felt like a 3 star hotel, not a 5 star hotel. The biggest issue is that we came here for a wedding and more than half the wedding group came down violently sick from what was most likely food poisoning.
There were multiple other issues that made it feel like it wasn’t a 5 star stay. The room we stayed in had several problems like a leaky sink and broken locks, and we had to chase the workers multiple times to fix it. The food was mediocre at best, mostly passing for just edible. The drinks are clearly watered down. Some of the service workers were rude. The hot tub wasn’t hot at all.
The hotel did not want to take any accountability for the issues, and did not do anything meaningful to try to make things right.
The only redeeming factor, but even barely at that, is that the beach is very nice. Though I would recommend to find another resort on the same beach and avoid the headache and food poisoning here.

Went on a family vacation for 8 adults and 2 kids! Overall the best all inclusive we have been to! Staff is so friendly and kind! The beach is incredible! We spent most of our time there because the water is so beautiful! Luckily at this time of year no seaweed! Food has been better than all of our other places we have been (Cuba and Mexico)! We loved Coco Cafe for their espressoo and Lattes! Loved that they had some milk alternatives for people who are dairy free! Rooms were nice, well kept and clean but getting to them can feel like a maze! We loved this place and as a family would return in the future!

My now wife and I hosted our wedding at this resort. At first, all went well and the ceremony was great. However, a few hours after food was introduced during the event, around 25% of our guests fell ill. They all went away in various stages of discomfort, nausea, or illness. When we brought this to the attention of the hotel, they immediately became defensive by stating "We have proper certifications". While I understand that they may have all the right procedures in place, accidents happen. Instead of sympathizing and trying to correct the situation, they went out of their way to state it wasn't the hotels fault but rather our own. Going back and forth with management was fruitless and resulted in the same "proper certification" spiel we heard before. While some people like Erick, our butler, did attempt to help, ultimately it was management's inability to act that cements this resort as a negative in our mind. We also heard from another couple that hosted a wedding a week before that people became I'll from food poisoning as well. I am very dissapointed by the entirety of the experience as this was supposed to be a magical experience. Try at your own risk.

We had an overall great experience at Dreams Cap Cana and would definitely consider returning. The resort is absolutely beautiful—the grounds are stunning, and everything was cleaned daily, which really stood out. The pools are huge, and even with a full resort, there was always plenty of space in the water, which was a big plus.
The beach wasn’t really swimmable due to the conditions, but it was very pretty to look at and made for great photos.
We had a large wedding group, and it did feel like we were one of the biggest wedding parties they’ve hosted. Some restaurants struggled to accommodate large groups, and coordinating room locations was a bit confusing at first, but we eventually got the hang of it.
Huge shoutout to the staff—our butler Cesar was AMAZING, and Andy, who helped with our bags, was so funny and kind even though he spoke very little English. Roy was one of our favorite bartenders, and the drinks were consistently great. Felix with Amstar went above and beyond to arrange a private boat for my wedding party and helped set up other excursions, which was a highlight of the trip.
Our wedding coordinator Aris deserves special recognition—planning a wedding in just 60 days is no small task, especially after Hurricane Melissa forced us to move our wedding from Jamaica. She handled everything with grace and truly made it happen for us, and we’re so grateful.
Food was about a 7/10 at most places, but the drinks definitely made up for it!
Overall, we had a wonderful time and truly appreciate that Dreams Cap Cana accommodated our group last minute during such a stressful situation. Beautiful resort, great staff, and great memories made. We would definitely revisit!

The resort itself is beautiful and incredibly clean. Everything felt fresh and well maintained, and our room was so comfortable. Even the pillows were amazing and made it so easy to relax at night after long days in the sun. It is also very baby friendly, which made traveling with little ones so much less stressful. They had everything we needed and were always willing to help with anything we asked.
The pools were gorgeous, the beach was peaceful, and the food was great. We never ran out of things to do and always felt taken care of. We truly had such a wonderful family vacation and would absolutely come back. Dreams Cap Cana exceeded our expectations in every way.

Beautiful location & wonderful weather. The beach is actually better than most seem to claim on here. The sand is nice, beautiful trees & water color. The ocean water was far too cold to get in but if you wanted to, you could find some spots where it’s less rocky. The pool was too cold, you could get in but it was freezing. The staff at the bars & buffet did not meet my expectations as I felt like I had to stare someone down to get anything I needed. The dinner staff was much more attentive. Candela was by far the best dinner 5/5. Not a ton of families, I’d say around 60% of the crowd was age 50+

Beautiful pools disappointing beach and food.
I rarely write negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share our experience at Dreams Cap Cana Resort & Spa so other travelers know what to expect.
Our trip started off with confusion when we were initially taken to the wrong Dreams resort after arrival. That was frustrating, especially after already having to change our vacation plans from Tulum and paying an additional $1,800 to come here instead.
Should have been an even exchange or less for the quality.
One of the biggest disappointments is the beach. Unfortunately, it is largely covered with coral and rock, making it very difficult to enter the water. If you are expecting the typical swimmable Punta Cana beach, this may not be the place for you.
The food quality has also been extremely disappointing. Much of the fruit has been underripe and very hard, the bread often stale, and even simple items like eggs tasted old. For a resort at this price point, the food should be much better.
Service has been mixed. While we encountered some very kind and hardworking staff members, the experience at the buffet was quite unpleasant at times, with staff who came across as rude and unwelcoming.
To be fair, the pools are beautiful and well maintained, and there are definitely good employees working hard here. However, the overall experience simply did not match the cost or expectations.
Sadly, based on our experience, I would not recommend spending your money here.
We travel often and have stayed at many resorts, and this was unfortunately one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had. For the price we paid and the expectations created by the marketing, this resort simply did not deliver. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues so future guests don’t have the same disappointing experience we did.

Amazing stay made unforgettable by Coca Cola!
We stayed at Dreams Cap Cana and had such a great time overall. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful — stunning pools, warm sunshine, and a gorgeous property that makes it easy to relax and unwind.
What truly made our experience 10 times more fun, though, was Coca Cola from the entertainment team. He was incredible. He brought so much energy and personality to the resort and had a real talent for getting people involved without being pushy. He started games like cornhole and other activities that got our group up from relaxing and actually having fun together — laughing, competing, and making memories. He completely changed the vibe of our days in the best way possible and is a HUGE asset to the resort.
The only downside of our stay was the food — it wasn’t the highlight for us — but honestly, we didn’t come for gourmet meals. We came for warm weather, beautiful pools, great energy, and a good time, and Dreams Cap Cana absolutely delivered on that. Another draw back would be there is no ocean access, or it is not possible to get in the ocean due to the seaweed.
If you’re looking for a stunning resort with amazing entertainment and staff who truly care about guests having fun, this is the place — and Coca Cola deserves all the recognition!

This past October was our third stay at Dreams Punta Cana, and it never disappoints. Every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. The staff, restaurants, and overall experience consistently exceed our expectations.
During this trip we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with a special romantic dinner for two, and it was absolutely unforgettable. The food and wine were exquisite, and the setting made the evening feel truly magical.
A huge thank you to Diogenes, who provided five-star service throughout the entire evening. His attention to detail and professionalism made the experience flawless. He even helped coordinate a surprise anniversary ring gift, which made the moment incredibly special and something we will never forget.
We always request Billy as our Preferred Club Butler, and once again he went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. And whenever we reserve a cabana, we always request Juan David. He consistently caters to our every need and truly goes above and beyond, showing genuine care and providing exceptional service to his guests.
Dreams Punta Cana continues to deliver outstanding service and memorable experiences. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

tl;dr - would highly recommend. A smaller resort with excellent staff, food, and top tier beach.
For full context - I was in Punta Cana at a different resort a mile down the road, but when my flight was cancelled due to weather and I had to extend my stay, we moved to Dreams Royal Beach. So I'll write sort of comparing the two properties.
- THE BEACH!! Even though the two resorts were on the same beach, the one at Dreams Royal Beach had clearer water, no boats, and a much larger area to swim. Absolute 15/10.
- Staff: the staff here was SO much friendlier, more attentive, and more fun than the other resort. Would absolutely recommend! I specifically want to call out William at the front desk who made check in and check out super easy & smooth! He was friendly, knew what he was doing, and spoke perfect English. Thank you William!! We also had a tricky situation with our flights and he gave us piece of mind with booking one night at a time.
- Food: the food was really good! The food at the other resort was more upscale, but the food at Dreams were perfectly great - and better than expected for all inclusives. I loved that you could grab a quick burger while at the beach - no need to change or put shoes on! The Asian restaurant was top notch (OMG the eggplant dish!), Mexican was very good, and Italian was solid. Also the ice cream spot is the best!
- Water slides and pools were really fun! I liked how the pool was like a Venice canal - it curved around so there were lots of private areas AND some hammocks.
- Entertainment - we mostly hung out at the beach so we didn't do too much of the pool entertainment, but there was something everyday and it looked like a blast!! It seemed organized and people were into it.
- Rooms - very solid. It's not a brand new resort so the rooms aren't super modern, but if you're on vaca all you need is a comfy bed and shower, and Dreams delivers! ALSO there's a bath/hot tub on the porch so that is the BEST way to end the night!

Clean and neat, usually rooms are cleaned twice a day . Staff is super nice and welcoming, u feel like u are at home .
A la carte restaurants are very good , i would just recommend bigger portions and more decorations for food. Only downside of this resort is morning buffet at World Caffe. Is pretty much basic with questionable food quality and variety and mostly same choices every day .
I would like to see some more seafood, local food. Fresh juices not mixed with water. They have couple juice options at breakfast, they were all awful
And P.S drinks are not top shelf, jack is best whisky and smirnof best vodka .

We recently stayed at Dreams Royal Beach in Punta Cana. They had a big Super Bowl party when we arrived with lots of fun activities and food. It was windy the first two days so it was a little chilly but the pool was less windy than the beach. The food was good but I would stick to the actual restaurants if you can and not the buffet. We were disappointed cause the steak restaurant was closed every night for weddings and we never got to try it. Our favorite part was the activities at the pool and the beach. Kuromi, picachu, Vladimir, and baby face always had so much energy and always had us doing something fun. We took Spanish lessons, learned the bachata, played lots of sand volley and water aerobics. The kids area with the slides was fun and the slides go fast. The rooms were clean and had lots of space. I recommend getting a room with a walkout on the first floor into the lazy river. They had shows in the plaza every night, our favorite was the rock show.
We went golfing at La Cana and Corales. Both courses are right on the ocean so it was windy but beautiful. Corales was better but also more expensive. Arrange a shuttle ahead of time to and from the golf courses. There’s traffic sometimes in the downtown area but nothing too bad.

The resort was outstanding. Staff paid attention to detail. The pools and beach were great. My wife and I arrived 2/8/26 and departed 2/16. Weather was good. It rained a couple of days but not long. The food was good but more of a variety in the restaurants could have been better. The service is not like the states but keep in mind, this is the Caribbean :) . Overall, we had a wonderful experience thanks to Roberto. He helped make this vacation wonderful. Thanks again ROBERTO!!!!!!!!

We stayed at Casa de Campo for three weeks last August and had a wonderful experience. We were there during my birthday, which made the trip even more special for our family.
The resort is beautiful, very well maintained, and very relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of things to do around the resort. It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy time with family.
Overall, we had a great stay and created some lovely memories. I would definitely recommend Casa de Campo and would happily visit again.

I have stayed at Casa de Campo twice with a separation of 5 years. While much is still the same, the service has gone down drastically at the resturants and bars. Expect to wait, and wait somemore. Expect it to be nearly imposible to make reservations at any of the resort owned resturants. In fact, I wasnt able to make a single reservation the entire 5 nights I was there. One would question, if you buy the "all inclusive" package but cant get into a resturant, is it worth it. It appears people are told to reserve tables months in advanced and many never show up. The resort holds these reservations even though no one shows up. So either complete incompetence with the food and bev department OR they do this to conserve on food/money, forcing you to order room service. The property is beautiful and if you have a chance to upgrade to a Villa, I would recommend it (what I did) vs the regular rooms. Overall, I would not recommend this resort until they resolve the service and resturant reservation issues. This was an overwhelming theme with all I spoke to onsite.

If you live and die by the playing top courses, just go. Seriously. The courses are pristine, and Teeth of the Dog actually lives up to the hype and more. The golf staff are the only people on this property who seem to know what planet they’re on. 10/10, would lose a $15 Pro-V1 in the Caribbean Sea again.
Everything Else Disaster
Here is where the wheels (specifically the golf cart wheels) fall off:
The Villa Roulette: It’s a literal gamble. You might get a modern oasis, or you might get a 1982 time capsule with plumbing that sounds like a haunted house. May the odds be ever in your favor.
The Logistics: The resort layout is aggressively inconvenient. You’ll spend 25% of your vacation staring at a shuttle stop or 15 minutes vibrating in a golf cart just to find a banana or maybe some stale banana bread (Dye Fore).
The Support: Attempting to contact management is like trying to argue with a toaster. They’ve outsourced their souls to an enterprise-GPT model. If you have a real issue, enjoy your polite, grammatically correct, and entirely useless AI-generated "we value your feedback" or "at your service" loop.
The Check-in/Out: Imagine a DMV, but with a tropical breeze and 500% more confusion.
The Verdict
I’ve stayed at places for half the price that treated me twice as well. Casa de Campo is basically a world-class golf course attached to a mid-tier logistics nightmare.
Go if: You only care about the golf and have a high tolerance for organized chaos. Avoid if: You expect luxury service to involve actual humans and functioning showers.
EDIT: I am bumping this up to 2 stars (from a 1) solely because I eventually got to speak with an extremely kind gentleman calling on behalf of the PGA. He was the only person I interacted with who seemed to actually care about—or understand—Guest Services and Hospitality Management. They are lucky to have him; he is effectively carrying the entire reputation of the resort's service on his back.

Such a nice resort. The food was just ok during the entire stay. The customer service is off the charts. We tried to get wash cloths in the room and finally did after three days. Golf Carts are a nice touch eventhough we had to wait 1/2 day to get our keys for cart. Many things to do here.

We loved our stay here. They are great with kids, the facility is clean, some of the cleanest public bathrooms in any resort or hotel, the drinks are good quality not watered down or cheap brands. My wife and I stayed at Dreams Macao the first week of February and despite a little bit of rain the weather was fantastic. The waves on the beach were too rough for swimming, but I feel they enhanced the quality of the scenery. It truly is a beautiful beach. The pool with the swim-up bar and the lazy river was where we spent most of our time. Both areas can get busy, but if you choose your spot early, say after breakfast, you are sure to have a good time. The best part about our stay was the friendly, efficient, and quality service provided by all of the staff at the resort. The dancers and entertainment team do an amazing job of bringing the fun. The bar and waitstaff were all attentive and prompt. Kenny, Cookie, Cristy, Babyface, and many others made us feel welcome and want to visit again. Would recommend.

e just returned from an amazing stay at Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana, and I can honestly say it exceeded our expectations.
First off, the staff truly make this resort special. Miguel, our Unlimited Vacation Club rep, was fantastic. Even though we chose not to purchase a package, he remained friendly, professional, and made a point to say hello to us every day — no pressure, just great service.
Elbierto, our waiter/butler, was incredibly attentive and checked in with us daily to make sure everything was perfect. That level of service goes a long way on vacation.
We booked snorkeling and surf lessons with Rocky at Sea Pro and had a great experience — professional, easy to deal with, and well organized.
The food and bar service were excellent throughout the resort. A special shoutout to:
Julio at the Preferred breakfast bar and patio — absolutely amazing service.
Anderson, who was a great server.
Nixon at the water park bar — biggest smile on the resort and always made you feel welcome.
Luis at the taco truck — awesome spot for a quick bite.
The Coco Arena team was also fantastic. We bowled and played pool almost nightly, and Deury and Dalian were great hosts who kept the energy up and made it fun every time.
The entertainment genuinely surprised us — the shows are very well done, and the cast and crew are outgoing and talented. And keep in mind, this is coming from a blue-collar guy who doesn’t usually rave about resort shows. They were impressive.
The bars are great overall, but do yourself a favor and hit up the beach bar, grab a swing seat, and just enjoy the view. The beach was the cleanest I’ve ever seen at a resort — absolutely spotless. Honestly, it feels like the best-kept secret of the property.
As for comments about the resort being “worn,” I’d say it’s normal wear from use and climate. From what we saw, the building upkeep and grounds maintenance are top notch.
This is definitely a family-friendly resort, but it doesn’t feel like a “kid resort” if you’re traveling as adults. We came with our 16- and 13-year-olds, and they never once said they were bored or complained — which says a lot. There’s plenty for teens to do.
Overall, the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. Great service, clean beach, strong entertainment, and lots to do. We’d absolutely return

The staff make this resort extra special. My sons especially loved entertainer Babyface IYKYK. The resort is clean & has plenty to do for every age. Food was nothing special but we always found something for everyone. The beach is great! We brought our two kids, 7 & 10, and they had a blast! Great family resort. Chairs by pools can be hard to come by on busy days. Beds were comfortable.

Just got back from Breathless Punta Cana and overall it was a great stay — solid experience.
The resort itself is beautiful, the pool area was definitely a highlight, and the vibe was fun and lively. Service was good overall and we enjoyed the atmosphere.
The only downside was the food — it wasn’t bad, but it didn’t wow us. The good thing is you get access to Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana next door, and we found their dining options to be better with more variety and quality.
Overall, we had a really good time and would consider coming back — especially knowing we can mix in dining at Dreams next time.

Just got home from a week at breathless and have to say it was amazing! The food, the beaches, the entertainment, the service, the rooms were all over the top!
You can tell they strive to make you feel wanted and want to make your stay memorable.
Shanty was always there to make the beach fun and keep people engaged. The nighttime entertainment was amazing and they all put the hearts and souls into making it perfect.
I can’t say enough about the service and if you go be sure to check out The nook coffee shop, coffee to die for.
The restaurants were always serving different foods and The Grill served an amazing steak.

The pools are very active during the day, with many shows. The night parties are pretty cool with many performers. Food was on point, from buffets, restaurants and food service!
Beach is beautiful and sand is so soft, lots of volleyball and other activities to do.
You have access DreamS resort Nextdoor ,it is more family oriented so keep that in mind if you go to that side.

For those wanting a quick assessment of Breathless Punta Cana, we can say it is great! We went for 11 nights and had a wonderful time. The staff were great, the food was delicious and plentiful, the grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Everything is very clean. Nightly entertainment was very good, but only had a 7 night cycle, so if you stay longer, expect repeat shows. Having access to Dreams Onyx next door is a nice perk too. My wife and I just wrapped up a 5-day stay at Breathless Punta Cana, and I can honestly say it was world-class. What truly sets this resort apart is the staff; I’ve rarely encountered such a dedicated group of professionals.
A massive thank you to Emely, Giovanni, Miguel, and Karen for making us feel so welcome. A special shout-out goes to Yeral at the Wink Bar—absolute legend! I also want to recognize Marcos and Deivi; we were lucky enough to have them take care of us at the buffet and again later at the Italian restaurant. Their service was flawless. And of course, big love to the homie Franklin "El Sazón" at the Barefoot Grill—best vibes on the beach!
The grounds and facilities are stunning and meticulously kept. If you’re looking for a party, the nightly pool bashes are electric. It does get loud, but that’s exactly what you sign up for here! Funnily enough, even though it’s a family-friendly area, the kids were often better behaved than the adults!

We visited in February 2026 for a week with family, kids are 6 and 10 y/o. We loved the beach, although if you are not preferred it might be difficult to find a lounge chair in the shade on the beach, as we were going to the beach after breakfast , after 11.30 am. We loved waves of the ocean, yellow flag during day and red flag with no swimming allowed closer to the evening.
It was convenient to get beach & pool towels, no need to deal with towel cards.
The buffet was good, but sometimes they ran out of clean plates closer to the ending times. same with kids cereals and regular milk, we had to look around for those by the ending of breakfast time. For lunch and donner, when we were ordering pasta dishes and wanted olive oil it was not always easily available to find and kitchen staff had a hard time understanding what we were asking. I tried one time shrimp and lobster in the buffet, but unfortunately they were dry and not much taste, kind of disappointing, but we were able to find other tasty options.
Wait staff provides good service , but when you need a refill on coffee it always takes a long time to find someone so it was easier just to go to their stations and refill coffee my self.
My kids did enjoy some of the activities (slime event, dancing and other activities in the evening) but when we went to kids club, it did not seem too much exciting for them. Kids club is not air conditioned. My son wanted to play basketball , but other than they have it in teens' zone, we could not find any other way to play basketball. Teens zone looked pretty empty and some teens activities (like bowling competition) was cancelled due to no one participating.
We loved the game room and paid $200 for our family for our entire stay , but cotton candy and claw machine were extra charge.
we tried Hibachi restaurant and French, both were good.
Housekeeping did a good job, sometimes they cleaned our room even twice a day.

Dreams Onyx is a Caribbean gem. We've been to Dreams Onyx a number of times and have enjoyed it every time. The resort is spotless, with beautifully manicured grounds and beach. Bellman Junior was the first friendly face we met. Each day started with tasty coffee and friendly smiles at the Cocco Cafe. We had two comfortable beds, with a dressing area in the bathroom. Plentiful towels in the bath and at the towel hut. Many choices for dining and we didn't have any long wait times. We had breakfast at the buffet, tasty tacos at the Taco Truck or a choice of food at Barfoot Grill for lunch. Dinner at Spice was our favorite, with gracious Graciela.
There is something for everyone from the fun pool and beach activities, volleyball, Yoga. They even brought in a dunk tank, and a huge blowup mountain water slide. The water park was a blast. Youngsters have fun at Explorers Club and teens can hangout in the Core Zone. The Entertainment team: Sharina, Vero, Honey Tere, and Lucinda kept everyone busy. We even painted a lovely picture. The parades and shows were great! Adults can also use the facilities at Breathless. Can’t wait to go back!

We traveled with our 18-month-old daughter, my wife, and some friends, and we absolutely loved our experience at the resort. It was extremely kid-friendly, with a couple of small children’s pools that were only a few feet deep. One of them was warmer, which was perfect for our daughter. The water slides were also a lot of fun.
We were very impressed by both the cleanliness and the kindness of the staff—everything was pristine. Even the landscaping and gardens were beautifully maintained.
Eliphat, our bartender, went above and beyond to take care of us. He was incredibly attentive and even came out to our swim-up bar to make sure we had drinks.
This resort also had the nicest beach I’ve experienced at any resort. There was barely any seaweed, the waves were fun to swim in, and the sand was soft with no rocks, even in the water.
If we’re able to, we will definitely be coming back again next year.

Our group of 16 (ages 8-77) had an incredible time!! Our rooms (building 7) were fantastic and always cleaned well. Kids loved the waterpark and beach, and adults loved the preferred adult pool. Food is average - crepes and omelettes at breakfast were the best part of the buffet, and we all loved the French restaurant! Vast majority of the staff were fun and friendly, and our butler Starling was outstanding. We absolutely loved our stay!

I was at Dreams for my 26th birthday and they made me feel at home. Our experience at the hotel was excellent from start to finish. The facilities are beautiful, clean and very well maintained, the food varied and delicious, and the perfect atmosphere to relax and have fun.
But without a doubt, the best of our entire stay was the entertainment department, especially Vero. His energy, charisma and professionalism made the difference. Always kind, attentive and with a contagious attitude, she managed to make every activity fun and special. It shows when someone loves what they do, and Vero shows it at every moment.
Thanks to her, our experience was even more memorable. We would definitely go back and recommend this hotel 100%. Thank you for making our stay so special!

Dreams La Romana was BEAUTIFUL! The pools were immaculate, the beaches were gorgeous, and the staff were absolutely incredible. There was so much to do! The water park was super fun, snorkelling was amazing, and the entertainment team — my goodness! There was always some sort of activity happening; the days had things like yoga, ping pong tournaments, a batting cage, and an inflatable obstacle course in the main pool. Nights were filled with impressive shows, DJ’s, and dance parties.
The food was actually really tasty. We mostly ate at the buffet (Spice Market) because the food there was consistently amazing. The restaurants around the resort are fun to visit, but service seemed to be a bit slow and the food was always some version of what was being served at the buffet anyways, so the buffet was definitely our go-to.
Special shout out to Yuliana on the entertainment team! She is so passionate about her job and really knows how to hype everyone up! She really made our experience memorable.

Absolutely stunning location for this hotel and spa. The staff is so kind, courteous and friendly. Dining choices include the buffet and several restaurants. Three of the dinner restaurants are for adults only. The buffet food was excellent and a great variety. The theme nights were fun such as the Mexican theme night. I enjoy fish and seafood and there was so much variety of both. The restaurants were varied, i.e. Peruvian, Italian.The pools were well maintained. The children's zone was so much fun for kids and adults. The slides and lazy river provided entertainment for adults as well as the smaller slides and fountains for the kids. The rooms were very clean and well maintined. I would definitely recommend the preferred club experience as everything is included and you feel spoiled. Will definitely go to another dreams resort.

We travelled from Canada and stayed in the Preferred Club — it was absolutely worth it. The entire resort is spotless and beautifully maintained. You can tell they take pride in keeping everything looking perfect.
The staff were amazing — so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. They made our whole family feel at home from day one.
The drinks were fantastic (some of the best all-inclusive cocktails we’ve had), and the food was excellent for both adults and kids. There was always something delicious to choose from, and even our kids were excited about the meals.
The ocean… wow. The colour is absolutely breathtaking — crystal clear, turquoise, and calm. It’s postcard perfect.
The waterpark was a huge hit for our kids — and honestly, we loved it just as much. It added such a fun extra element to the trip.
We also felt completely safe the entire time we were on the resort. Security presence was professional but not intrusive, and we felt comfortable letting the kids enjoy themselves while we relaxed. That peace of mind made the vacation even more enjoyable.
Overall, it was a perfect family getaway — clean resort, incredible staff, great food and drinks, stunning ocean, and so much fun for the kids.

We had an amazing trip, made even better by the friendly and incredibly helpful staff throughout the resort. Several team members truly went above and beyond and made our stay unforgettable.
- Joel at the buffet grill went out of his way to make sure I had an enjoyable and delicious meal.
- Ramona, our server at Aqua Nick, was always attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
- Zeleika (hope I’m spelling that right!), the main pool server, kept the drinks flowing nonstop — always with a smile.
- Rosanna at the sweetery made sure we never ran out of treats and kept our sugar levels happily topped up.
Lastly, a very special thank you to the person who made my stay the most memorable — Francisco, the chef at Fresco. I ran into him daily during my morning walks, always smiling as early as 7:30 a.m. while making sure everything was perfectly prepped for the lunch rush. The shrimp ceviche is an absolute must-try, and he made sure my family and I were always well taken care of.
This resort truly shines because of its people. Thank you all for an unforgettable experience!

A very nice place and experience. I was able to take a picture at the SpongeBob house. Took my son here and he enjoyed it fully. We paid day pass for $175 per person and that is all inclusive towards food. Desserts snacks drinks everything. And the day pass is from 9 AM to 5 PM. You’ll have to leave your passport at the front desk though until you’re done with using your day pass. Thanks. It’s very much worth it and I recommend this place. If you have a child or children that loves characters and swimming and unhealthy foods. Lol

I had one of the worst experiences at this resort. We reserved an ocean view room through Expedia, but when we arrived, we were assigned a garden view suite. After spending a couple of hours dealing with them, I finally got the ocean view suite that I had paid for. However, once I moved into the new room with the ocean view, issues emerged. I was unable to close the back door, and I struggled to sleep at night because the room couldn't maintain a comfortable temperature. Housekeeping was supposed to clean the room daily and restock the mini fridge, but that did not happen; we had to request room cleaning, and they only arrived around 4 or 5 PM to clean, but the mini fridge was never restocked. We called several times for drinks, but no one came. The service was awful; they pressured us into buying a character breakfast that cost $70 for adults and $50 for children, and after that meal, they attempted to sell us a timeshare. Overall, the resort and its amenities are wonderful, but the food and service are lacking.
They have a swimming pool with an ocean view, which is incredible. There is one park with a lazy river and children's waterslides, and another park that features a kids' swimming pool and adult slides. We had a lot of fun there.

My family had a great time. 3 boys 6 yr, 4 yr, 22 months. It was put first visit and all excellent as expected. We enjoyed the entertainment team, especially by the pool including Junior. The service was great, always polite, friendly and hustling. Helpful when we had questions. Loved the water park, especially the lazy river that we spent hours in. Don't miss the bigger water slides hidden behind the main water park.
The restaurants were also great. Buffet was the only place I didn't love for dinner, but it was good for breakfast. Lunch was almost always the water park eatery that was consistently good, if a more basic menu.
Happy with the choice we made to visit and could see us returning.

The resort sits on a stunning, calm stretch of beach with plenty of loungers by the water and comfortable sunbeds around the pool. Drink service was excellent in both areas, making it easy to fully relax and enjoy the setting.
The drinks were high quality; I was able to enjoy my Grey Goose martinis and refreshing champagne throughout our stay.
Our butler, Gabriel, was exceptional. He secured our restaurant reservations, arranged a late checkout, and checked in daily both in person and via WhatsApp. For my birthday, he surprised me by decorating our room with balloons, which was such a thoughtful touch. He truly made sure nothing stood in the way of us having the best possible experience. We’ve stayed at other all-inclusive resorts with VIP/butler service, and none compare to the level of attention we received here.
Beach & Pool Service
Maxima, Rosa, Anyelina, and Marilania were incredibly attentive and friendly. They made sure our cups were always full and greeted us with warm smiles every day.
The bartender in the central plaza, Annamaria, was excellent — joyful, engaging, and talented.
Overall, the service throughout the resort was truly top-notch. Every team member we encountered was focused on making sure we felt well cared for and completely stress-free. It was a wonderful, memorable stay, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

We had a fantastic stay here! First of all I want to thank Dashiria, Michelle, Udid, Victor and Mayelin from the animation team who were all great!
The room was spacious, the beds VERY comfortable. We loved the food, and the different restaurants options were excellent. People are friendly and helpful, the beach is a dream, pool is huge, we never had an issue finding a lounge chair.
We will definitely be back, thank you for the great memories!

Paradise. That's the perfect word that describes our stay. The place itself is incredibly well maintained and everyone is always buzzing around making sure everything is perfect for their guests. The beaches are amazing. We walked 10 miles back and forth on the beaches everyday. We felt safe and never were harrassed by vendors. The ocean was perfect for swimming and floating and we even got to see some whales from the club lounge! The food was good. The food at Majestic Elegance in Cancun was much better. The steakhouse and the Italian restaurants were both good but lacked variety. The Japanese restaurant was great! The staff amd flavors were amazing! Our butler was very nice but never showed us around the resort so we had to learn where things were from guests. The beach service was rather slow and inconsistent which was disappointing. We've been to Majestic in Cancun several times and the service there is much better. Definitely a different vibe between Cancun and DR. Don't get me wrong, we had a great time and will definitely be back,but there are differences.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana is a beautiful resort with clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff, multiple pools, and a stunning beach. We stayed in a Club Suite, which meant we had a dedicated butler, Osvaldy, who was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. He answered all of our questions about the resort, helped book restaurant reservations, and secured a spot for us at the tennis and pickleball courts.
The beach was without a doubt the highlight of our trip. The sand was soft and pinkish white, there was hardly any seaweed, and the water was warm and a beautiful turquoise blue. It truly felt like a postcard beach.
I would highly recommend opting for the à la carte restaurants for every meal, as the buffet food was subpar in comparison. We enjoyed the steakhouse the most. Rayson was our favorite bartender and made the best drinks at the resort. He works at the bar in the steakhouse and is absolutely worth seeking out.

We had a fantastic stay at Majestic Elegance Punta Cana with a group of 15 ranging from a baby to seniors. The resort truly offered something for everyone.
My unique highlight: chips and chocolate bars available at the buffet. I love my treats and this was something I'd never seen at another resort.
The kids’ area was perfect for our toddler — family-friendly without feeling chaotic. Our upgraded room was spacious and ideal for traveling with little ones, with thoughtful design touches and plenty of room to relax. Minor issues (a weak mini-fridge and a slightly off-balance chair) didn’t impact our stay.
Food was very good overall, especially the Italian restaurant and the Flavours buffet. We loved not needing reservations and had no trouble dining as a large group. Service was friendly and welcoming throughout, with great housekeeping and mini bar staff. Occasionally drink service was slow, but bars were always close by.
The pools and beach were excellent — easy to find chairs, great layout for all ages, and a clean, walkable shoreline. Having golf included nearby was a great bonus and solid value.
Overall, I’d rate it 4.25/5 and would definitely recommend it for families, groups, golfers — and anyone who appreciates great snack options at the buffet!

The entire entertainment team (Roberto, BabyFace, Pedro, Juliana, Johanny, and Xavier) were awesome and interactive- they work so hard to make sure the guests are having a good time (they were even great dance partners!). Also ALL of the waiters and staff treated us so kindly, they were very welcoming and treated us like family. Special shout out to the manager at the Japanese restaurant (I believe his name is Tapa, he also works at the Italian restaurant) and our waiter Chefry Alejandro at the steakhouse- thank you for your great service. In fact, all the staff were amazing. Even the energy and joy they put into doing the birthday songs at breakfast and dinner for my sister- it was awesome. You can tell the staff genuinely care about their guest experience. We were there for only 5 days, and it felt like we were leaving our friends when it was time for us to go home. What a memorable trip! First time at Majestic Mirage. What an absolutely BEAUTIFUL resort and a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. Top tier! Maluma aka Juan was very entertaining. We had the BEST time thanks to the entertainment crew at the resort! From day one, they were incredibly energetic, engaging, and genuinely fun. They didn’t just perform — they danced with us, hyped us up, and made sure our group felt included in every activity.
What really stood out was how they would actually come find our group and pull us into the fun. Whether it was poolside dancing, games, or the night shows, they made us feel like VIPs the entire trip. Their energy never dropped, and you can tell they truly love what they do.
If you’re looking for a resort where the vibe is lively, interactive, and unforgettable — this is it. The entertainment team absolutely made our vacation!

The food that was delicious we ended up playing volleyball for one of their plane sessions, and the staff was exceptional in it. They were dancing with us while playing volleyball and made it worthwhile to get involved in the events that are happening at the hotel. Juliana specifically was really Helpful in the beach area. She catered to us with drinks and activities. She was able to get a coworker to help my partner with the one-on-one Spanish class while we’re at the beach because my partner accidentally missed the Spanish class earlier in the day. I would highly recommend Juliana and her coworkers at this resort. We’ve been to several resorts and by far this is one of the most exceptional ones with the service that they provide

We just celebrated our 25th anniversary at Majestic Mirage!! After a long day of traveling we were greeted and checked in with little to no effort from us! Staff was amazing. From there Osvaldo was incredible! Showing us the grounds taking us to our room and telling us all the amenities! The resort was clean and easy to navigate!
We aren’t much of explorers but still had a lot to do and enjoy while there.
Again our concierge Osvaldo was so nice and attentive that’s we didn’t have to worry about a thing. The only problem I can think of is the lack of restaurants we could enjoy as part of our all inclusive package was few. Thank you Mirage for helping us enjoy our 25 years of marriage!

It is nice really, but no one told u we are not allowed to smoke anywhere before we came to the hotel. I do understand to not smoke everywhere but at least put some seats where there is a smoking area. The rooms were nice but not soundproof at all. We could hear the snoring from our neighbours next door. The breakfast was amazing, coffee and drinks as well. The restaurants were mostly fine but desserts were not good at all. Idk what it is about all inclusive Desserts, they tend to taste flavorless.
The staff was mostly great, some people at the bar and coffeeshop were really annoyed and i get, that you can have a bad day, but some of them have been like this every day.
Beach was amazing, but it is really annoying that people reserve beach chairs and nobody is doing anything against it.
Overall the hotel is nice and clean. Food is mostly good. But it wasn’t worth the money in my opinion.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Secrets La Romana
We spent 4 wonderful days at Secrets La Romana. I want to start by expressing my deepest gratitude to the entire team, especially Carlos, Solor, and Wilian (Caoba Restaurant). Being allergic, I was moved by their meticulous care; they even cleaned the grill surface and used fresh olive oil just for my eggs. While standard fried foods were available, they brought a separate pan to fry potatoes specifically for me. This level of dedication is rare. They were always smiling, polite, and remembered my personal preferences.
Standout Staff: Yuliana is a powerhouse of energy; her positivity and activities will instantly lift your spirits. Esperanza in the restaurant was incredibly sweet and positive 🍀, and Nachaly at the concierge was always ready with a smile and fun conversation.
The Resort & Preferred Club: The resort is vast, allowing for plenty of movement. A big plus is having access to the restaurants at the neighboring Dreams La Romana. Regarding the Preferred Club upgrade: I don’t think it offers a significant advantage as the exclusive area is quite small and limited. The main difference was the cocktail quality. Our mini-bar (3 waters, 2 colas, 2 light beers) didn't feel like a "premium" package. However, room cleanliness was flawless with twice-daily service and sweet surprises like chocolates 🤍.
Areas for Improvement: * Dining: The food was disappointing. We couldn't get a hot meal; everything arrived cold. The buffet also lacked variety, serving the same items daily. For someone who knows Turkish cuisine, the food here might not satisfy. Suggestion: Consider opening a Turkish restaurant instead of a Mediterranean one!
• Entertainment: Aside from the excellent Michael Jackson tribute, evening activities were lacking. Since the resort is secluded, the on-site entertainment needs to be higher quality to avoid boredom.
Conclusion: If these two issues are addressed, we would truly consider this our "vacation home." We loved it here despite the flaws. Thank you for everything! 🤍

We are staying as preffered guests which has cost a lot of money to upgrade to.
However the food is outstanding and we think it is really worth the upgrade.
We do have to say that the preffered adults only pool is amazing and by far the best. The swim up bar is worked by a lovely and hard working team. Olga is simply the best! She is kind, makes you feel welcome and I don't think there's anything she doesn't know about making cocktails. Whatever you ask for is made freshly in front of you and nothing is too much trouble. Raul is excellent to. These people really make this holiday special for us and we can't thank them enough.

Such a wonderful resort with outstanding choice for à la carte restaurants. The infinity pool and the beach were great, soft sand and the ocean was a nice temp with a sandy bottom. The Entertainment team was wonderful with so many fun aciticites and fitness options. I will definitely be back!

Preferred package 100% worth it! Pool and beach service could be quicker.. but staff is very friendly and accommodating! Food was pretty good.. Plenty of activities, silent disco and Scores bar were a blast! Quick note for aerial photography fans (drones) cannot fly at the resort, but the public beach is just steps away from the preferred beach section.. and can get airborne from there.. water is beautiful and almost as calm as the pool, no big waves.. We will be back!

My friend and I recently spent a week (6 nights) at Secrets Royal Beach, and could not have been more pleased with our experience!
Our room was comfortable, and had a nice sized balcony and bathroom. Air conditioning worked great (and was much needed after days in the strong sun)! Housekeeping was wonderful, replenishing everything we needed each day (water bottles, towels, etc.) and they even had a turndown service so we got into freshly made beds every night!
The food was also very good. We tried each of the restaurants and appreciated how they all had their own unique vibe. We also loved visiting the breakfast buffet and Coco's cafe every day (the coffee is spectacular).
There are two pools, one larger (with music playing) and one smaller (and quieter). We spent time at both, and didn't have a problem snagging a chair in the mornings. There was no shortage of food and drinks available during the day, between the poolside bars, different themed buffets and the beachside grill (burgers, hot dogs, fries, salads, etc.)
We didn't spend a ton of time at the beach, but loved how it was so easily accessible. Also loved how the resort was flat (no hills or stairs) and easy to navigate. The casino is quite small but still worth visiting.
Everyone we met, from our fellow guests to the staff, were super friendly and welcoming. Special shoutout to the entertainment team - they had so much energy and kept the vibes high, whether by the pool during the day or at the evening parties!
Overall, we loved our experience at Secrets Royal Beach and found it to be an excellent value for the price. Highly recommend if you're considering booking!

We had an amazing holiday celebrating my 50th birthday January 2026. This is truly a stunning adults-only resort, with wonderful, tasty food and excellent à la carte restaurants throughout.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made our stay feel warm, welcoming, and incredibly special. They went above and beyond for our group, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The rooms were beautiful, immaculately clean, and maintained to a very high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks, and the convenience of room service available at any time of day.
The excursions arranged by the resort were highly recommended and well organised. The entertainment, both within the resort and on the beach, was always enjoyable. Relaxing by the clear pools and in the Bali beds was a real treat.
I am especially grateful to have been looked after by some truly amazing chefs, managers, and front-of-house staff. A special thank you to Victor and his team at the wonderful Ocean Grill restaurant — the service was impeccable, and they really made my 50th birthday celebrations feel extra special.

The food was actually quite good for an all-inclusive resort we loved the breakfast spread, and the lunch buffet. The rooms were tidy, comfortable, and very spacious. The beach itself was stunning and the pool area was clean and always had fun activities going on. We played bingo, tennis, volleyball, had impromptu Spanish lessons, and celebrated my birthday in style on the beach.

The hotel is wonderful and the beach is absolutely beautiful. We were treated like family the entire stay. Joan was super helpful and was there for us with any questions we had and introduced us to Meldy our butler. He was fantastic as well and made it super easy to book all of our Al La cartes and ensured we got a spot at the Hibachi table. He went above and beyond by setting up a romantic setting in our room while we were out with ballon’s, rose petals, champagne on ice and a drawn bath. It was amazing. He was always accessible through WhatsApp as well which was very comforting knowing I could reach out at any time I needed.
We had an issue our last night with a leaky roof because of the rain and received immediate help to switch rooms which was much appreciated. All of the staff were super friendly which made the trip so much more enjoyable.
The Chic Cabaret is an experience no one should miss! It was so fun and absolutely incredible! The food wasn’t very good at the show but it is still a must see and worth the extra cost.

Had a great time and ultimately it was a wonderful vacation the facilities were clean and everyone was friendly. If you like to be tended to and crave constant interaction and attention this place is for you. The staff tries to sell experiences at every turn and is relentless in their pursuit. We couldn’t escape someone trying to get us to go to the spa, book excursions, or buy photos that we did not want taken. It was often hard to relax because we were approached so many times. I understand that some people enjoy this kind of service but we did not and it was incredibly invasive. At one point, a man who harassed us into taking photos we did not want to take and a man tried to guilt us into doing an excursion saying “you guys really aren’t going to do anything?”. When the staff isn’t trying to hock something it’s vendors on the beach. We paid for the premium experience and still had to deal with people on the beach with large birds asking if we wanted photos or hair braiding, I think paying for the reserved spot on the beach should preclude you from these kind of interactions but I understand everyone has to make a buck. The food was fine, to be expected at a large resort but we did love Delores at Portofinos she was funny and sweet and the service there isn exceptional. We got massages at the spa and that was wonderful Noemi and Rosanna were great and for how much they try to sell you on the spa experience, they don’t bug you once you actually are at the spa. The manor in which you book reservations had to be done through a butler, ours, Randy was great but not being able to do things independently was cumbersome and added more work to simple requests - again I understand some people enjoy this kind of service but it’s not for us, we came on vacation to be left alone. This would be a great place for a large group and there seemed to be a lot of opportunities for activities with kids.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Majestic Colonial and it was the best decision we could have made. We had the most wonderful time and wish our trip was longer than 10 days. Every single staff member we encountered was amazing and made our trip so memorable. The entertainment team was a true highlight: Panda, Honey, Hot Chocolate, Francis, and everyone else made every day so enjoyable and were so energetic that it was hard to not want to jump into their activities. They really were a bright spot of our honeymoon and will be part of our lasting memories. The bartenders were also incredible, so engaging, talented, and creative. We loved talking to them and watching them work, and when we asked for them to create their drink special for us, they absolutely delivered. The food at the resort was delicious. I loved eating the Dominican food that was at the buffet, it truly opened my eyes to new flavors and tastes that I want to recreate at home. The food can sometimes be hit or miss at resorts, but this was an absolute hit. There was nothing we left saying "oh I wish there was X" because it has everything you could want in a resort. The resort was very clean, though there are some parts that could use updates. Everything about the resort was incredible, and while there may have been one or two little things here or there we wished were different, we will 1000% return in the future.

My personal trainer at the Fitness center, Enrique, was amazing. He was great at giving us exercises to workout. This was an expected service and my mom and I really enjoyed it.
We also went to yoga classes, Zumba, which was fun. Lots of good activities. A highlight was the fresh coconut water.
Service to the rooms was a little slower. We requested extra towels as we were two people sharing the room, but they could never get it right

This is our first time at MC. The beach is phenomenal as is Darel our butler. He checks in every day, has been on top of our reservation needs and because of him, we will be back :)
The rooms are quite dated but they will be closed for renovations from April - November.
Food has been good. Buffet at beach is the same every day but we switch it up with the Al la carte luncheon in the Gourmet restaurant.
And the Gourmet was EXCEPTIONAL!!
As I don't eat breakfast, they treated my husband with kindness everyday.
They also decorated our table with flowers each time we came for dinner.

The staff was so friendly. Mata e coco was so funny. The nightly shows were very entertaining - like having our own Coco Bongo experiences! They have an entire team dedicated to entertaining the guests with games and parties, so much to do! Wonderful experience for a family vacation.
Teppanyaki at Ma+Suri, and Le Gourmet are the best restaurants here. The buffet food is average, nothing phenomenal, but nearly on par with any buffet back in the states. I recommend getting the buffet items they cook in front of you. The other items tend to sit out for a hot minute.
90% of the staff was beyond friendly and courteous. The towel cabana worker is a bit of a grouch, but it is easily made up for by the service of Edwin and Yohanny (two of the bartenders). Can't state my appreciation for those two enough. Always smiling, even when serving the rude college kids who were here.
As we were checking out, we were given fliers, requesting we give the resort 4 stars or higher on each category, and the workers strongly push for us to leave Google reviews. Honestly, that's probably the biggest downside for me. Being pushy for reviews has always rubbed me the wrong way.
The rooms again, were an average experience. Your typical hotel room - cramped, and not very well maintained, but certainly acceptable.

Scooby-doo was a great help and his energy made the trip so much more fun. Not only him, but Raymond and Christobal were an amazing help as well and they were always coming to check on us to make sure everything was top notch, which it was! The location is beautiful, it’s always warm and beautiful. The rooms are nice and cool and air conditioned, and the beds are sooo comfortable. The service that me and my family received was amazing, from animated games by the pool, to the waiters at the restaurant, It was all amazing. We were so well taken care of, and all the workers are always so smiley and positive. The stay was amazing! And we will definitely be returning.

I had high expectations for a 5 star resort, but the service fell far short. While the property itself is beautiful, with great pools and beach access, the overall guest experience was disappointing.
Many staff members came across as disengaged and at times even rude. I understand that not everyone speaks English, but basic courtesy, attentiveness, and willingness to help should not depend on language. Long wait times, slow service even during peak hours, and lack of urgency made simple things frustrating.
Transportation around the resort was another major issue. With the property fully booked, there were not enough trolleys to accommodate guests. We often had to wait 20 to 30 minutes or walk long distances, which took away from the vacation experience.
I attended a destination wedding here, and the coordination and service did not meet expectations. The couple did not receive the level of attention or care you would expect on such an important occasion, and food service during events was poorly managed.
In summary, this is a great property with serious service and management issues. A 5 star rating should reflect not just the facilities, but the quality of service and guest experience, which was lacking here.

Scooby doo is so kind and funny, he is always there to help and is always doing everything he can to make our experience the best it can be. Scooby doo makes every day so much fun and so enjoyable. The service he provides deserves 5 stars every single time. I could not imagine my trip without Scooby, every time I see him he is always helping someone and giving them an amazing smile experience along with a big beautiful smile. Crystobal is so sweet and kind, he provides such good service. He’s always giving us such great seats at every place and he is constantly assuring that we have a good time. The pool is so clean and fun, the workers are always giving us amazing drinks and we have so much fun especially with crystobal and Scooby and all the people who work here.

My experience at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana was honestly very disappointing, and I feel obligated to share it so other travelers know what to expect.
This resort markets itself as a luxury destination, but the reality is very different. The property is massive, but the organization and overall service simply do not match the price you pay. For example, the Wi-Fi barely works in many areas of the resort, which is unacceptable in 2026 for a hotel that claims to be high-end.
What left the worst impression on me, however, was the way guests seemed to be treated differently depending on who they were. During my stay, I personally felt that Latino guests were often treated with less attention and respect than many American or European guests. Whether intentional or not, that perception is extremely uncomfortable and disappointing in an international resort that should make everyone feel equally welcome.
Another thing that people should know before coming here: it feels like you have to tip almost in advance just to receive normal service. Several guests mentioned the same thing during my stay — that unless you are constantly giving tips from the beginning, the level of attention can drop significantly.
A vacation should make you feel relaxed and valued as a guest. Unfortunately, this stay left me with the opposite feeling. For the price you pay here, there are many other resorts in Punta Cana that offer better service and a much more genuine sense of hospitality.
Travelers deserve to know the reality before spending their money here.

As Legendary members we were pleasantly surprised again and again by our butlers Elvyn and Reydisson! The beach was fantastic and while one cant go in too far, as opposed to HRCabo we were able to swim in PCana. Lifeguards on alert and responsive, with teens venturing too far. Security plentiful and we felt just as safe walking the property day and night.
We typically stay only at Unico however after Mexican civil unrest last week (2026) we decided to try the DR and we are glad we did! By far best Butler service of any legendary property that we have encountered to date!!!! Can’t wait for Doma to open next door as well! Service outstanding all around- spa shout out Paola /Australia! Eden pool staff were top notch!!!!! Everything above and beyond at Eden & in room! Exceptional service, not a single person got food poisoning and everything clean!!! 🙏

My wife Leslie and I just returned from an incredible stay at the brand-new W Punta Cana resort, and overall it was a fantastic experience.
The resort itself is stunning. The design is modern and vibrant while still feeling luxurious, and the oceanfront setting is spectacular. Our suite had beautiful views, a spacious layout, and one of the most comfortable hotel beds we’ve slept in. I also want to mention the food. For several months preceding our visit, we constantly saw reviews blasting the culinary department. I will tell you that almost every meal we had was outstanding. So clearly the management got the message and resolved those issues
What truly made the stay special, though, was the staff. The level of service was consistently warm, genuine, and attentive throughout our visit. A special thank-you to Esther Maldonado, who not only helped arrange an incredible private tasting dinner experience for us, but also acted as our personal insider throughout the trip. Her attention to detail, responsiveness, and genuine care made a tremendous difference. Quite honestly, this trip would not have been what it was without her.
Because the resort is so new, there were a few finishing issues in our room— significant paint splatter throughout the room and bathroom (including our tub) and a few other small details that showed the hotel was rushing to open. Nothing that ruined our stay, but it was noticeable.
That said, if management addresses those minor finishing touches quickly, this property has the potential to become one of the best luxury resorts in Punta Cana.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return. I hope the leadership team recognizes the outstanding work of Esther and the staff who helped make our visit so memorable. We look forward to seeing how this beautiful property continues to evolve.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are amazing, the beach is great (big waves & windy), the food was impeccable!
The alcohol served was all top of the line brands, so the drinks were great.
The transfer from airport to hotel is 45-50 minute drive.
Room service was slow always a 45 minute or longer wait.
It was a little hard finding all the restaurants.
The “chill pool” with the swim up bar (shout out to the bartender 007 he’s great) should have a bathroom closer by though. You had to walk a good 10 minutes to the closest bathroom. Also the infinity pool aka “wet deck” should be called the chill pool because it was more chill than the actual chill pool which was more of a party/fun pool.
We got a couple mosquito bites but not enough to complain about or ruin our trip.
The first night we got there it was a Wednesday the speakeasy wasn’t great. Not many people were there but by Friday & Saturday the speakeasy was bumping and so much fun!
Baby A always had something fun for the crowd to do if you did find yourself “bored”.
The resort is great, I’d definitely recommend!

I had such a fantastic time at the resort. It’s was President’s weekend in the US so there were too many Americans…but it was fine.
The staff really make an effort to make sure you have a good time. The scheduled activities I attended were fun and the vibes from the quiet pool to the fun pool were amazing. The food is also really good - I had not been to an all inclusive in over 10 years because I generally didn’t think it was worth it but at this resort definitely worth it (and Adults only!) Can’t wait to go back!

Spent 6 days at this great resort! First time staying at an all inclusive, was a bit apprehensive but this first offering from the W did not disappoint.
The resort itself is stunning and rooms were well appointed and bathrooms spacious and well thought out.
The food in all outlets was delicious and inventive. Our favourite was Noodle Bar for dinners and lunch by the beach at Taman for their ceviche and sea food rice. For coffee snobs the outpost cafe served delicious barista made coffee all throughout the day
Activities were interesting and plentiful with a nod to the local culture. We were lucky enough to stay during Independence Day festivities.
Finally, the service was top notch especially in the bars and restaurants. Shout out to Lucia at Noodle bar with her great service and recommendations and Baby A and China who ran the activities

Location is far away from everything. For a Marriott property, we were extremely disappointed. Nothing to do but pool and beach. Surf current is so bad its dangerous to swim in water. Locals solicit you to pay for activities. Nothing provided for an all inclusive but room, beverages and food. Food is questionable. We got sick 2 days out of 5 we were there. Limited restaurants and they make you cover up at poolside dining. Service for drinks by pool is horrible. Cleaning service in room didnt stock supplies. Room services takes over hour. Dont get chicken or pizza. Wasn't cooked and made us really ill. If it wasn't for company trip with promotion company there's nothing to do. No taxis or motor bikes to get anywhere. Front desk discourages leaving property. Very overpriced for quality of food and amenities you receive. Its 2 star at best. Very disappointing for a new Marriott location.

We had such a fabulous time at Hyatt Zilara cap Cana. It was our first all inclusive, but it completely blew our expectations away. It’s beautiful, of course. The beach staff are so lovely, setting up our chairs and moving umbrellas for me (very pale). The bar staff — Georges in particular — were so good. The painkillers were delicious. But truly the entertainment team — led by Manuel — made our stay the best. Diomedes led us on a wonderful bingo night (among other lovely activities). Manuel led us in a darts tournament, aqua aerobics and cocktail classes. His positivity is contagious!!
The food was very good — we were pleasantly surprised. And the waiters — down the hostesses, including the lovely Keila— were so friendly and made our stay fabulous.
The connection to the kids side (Ziva) is easy to avoid if you want, but such a fun vibe as well. There’s even a lovely, friendly cat there that is cuddly and playful.
We will be coming back!!!

INCREDIBLE RESORT! The service was top notch! Every place we ate at was incredible! The hibachi was my favorite! Our room was gorgeous. The shower is so relaxing. We just returned from an incredible week at the Hyatt Zilara, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. The quality of the food and the variety of restaurants were outstanding—far beyond any other hotel we’ve stayed at. The staff was exceptionally kind and welcoming, with an attention to detail that made us feel like part of the family.
We stayed in the Zilara section, which is adults-only, but the resort also offers the Ziva side for families. Every evening featured fantastic shows, along with surprise performances by talented artists in different areas of the resort.
Our room was spacious, spotless, and offered a breathtaking view of the beach and ocean. Housekeeping was impeccable, with daily cleaning, evening turndown service, and even midday visits to ensure we had everything we needed—water, towels, and more.
I highly recommend trying the Blind Butcher experience. This specialty restaurant, available at an additional cost, is absolutely worth it. The culinary experience was phenomenal, complemented by live performances every 15 minutes, including dancing and singing acts that made the evening unforgettable.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Pedro Thomas and his entire team, with special recognition to Jenny and Darling for their exceptional hospitality. A big thank you as well to our butler, Osiris, for his attentiveness and availability throughout the week, and to Anthony and Daniela from The Pier restaurant for their outstanding service.

We stayed over the holidays in December 2025. The resort is immaculate, beautiful, & upscale. We felt like it was sort of like a little city or cruise on land if you will. What made it even better, was the staff. Manuel and Kayla (not sure of her full name) in the activities department were amazing. They got the guests involved with the many fun activities that are offered. We enjoyed the crafts, aqua fitness classes (water bikes - so cool), darts, and silent disco. Our son was surprised by + LOVED the impressive gym. He said it was just as nice if not nicer than his gym at home. And they have an outdoor pickleball court! Our daughter wasn't feeling well one of the days and did not participate in the daily craft. Kayla made her that day's craft so that she could have it to take home. So sweet! Manuel was hysterical and works hard. He kept us laughing and active. Ashton at the front desk and Patti, our room attendant were lovely. And Mayreni was the best. We also loved all of the musicians that entertained us all week. We miss Hyatt and Ziva (the stray kitties that made an appearance nightly). Free pet therapy! Our only critique is to play less Adele at the pool...LOL. We loved that it was an adults only resort, but we could go next door to the Ziva side if we wanted (which we did for some of the restaurants - I'm still dreaming about the Burratta Pizza at the Italian place). The staff takes such pride in their jobs and really strive to make the guest experience a memorable one. We will be back!

Ps: I'm gluten allergic and they have good options such as croissants, ciabatta bread and muffins for breakfast.

Visited for five nights with two couples total and this place was definitely worth it! Clean and comfortable rooms, delicious food, and amazing staff... there is no reason to go to an all-inclusive and not experience the very best, and the staff here will take the very best care of you! Yes, tipping is appreciated by them and when they go above and beyond, they deserve it.
Here are a few of the amazing staff members we appreciated so much: GiGi (Argyles?)... awesome activities coordinator, along with Maria! Luis Mario, Ismael, and Omar were the most amazing wait staff for our days on the beach. Get by the beach and you will never get up to get a drink while you're there... these guys are great! Alejandro and Riccardo at the Wok restaurant, this was our favorite and we were able to get in twice! Amazing service, amazing food, and the reason we slept so well with full bellies. Kayla took care of our cabana daily, making sure we were stocked with beach towels and our cabana and items were safe and watched over. Lastly, but not least, Olga and Brillis at the Coffee Bar every day with the Frappuccino Passion was the best way to start the day (even before breakfast!).
We had so many great experiences while we were there, from karaoke and singing, to the pools and beach, to the restaurants and quality staff. Never had a negative encounter, not once. Go, enjoy, let loose, and have a great time!!!

2/5 – Disappointing Stay, Not Worth the Price
This is a three-star experience masquerading as a four-star hotel. Overall, I would not stay here again. For the price point, your money will go much farther elsewhere. I was genuinely surprised, as I thought I had done adequate research before booking.
The Castle
The swim-up suite pool was freezing — and I say that as someone who regularly jumps into alpine lakes and the Puget Sound. In late February, it was effectively unusable, with no warning from the property.
“Butler service” is not truly butler service. There appear to be only a handful of butlers serving 100+ guests across multiple buildings. Service was neither prompt nor personal, and it certainly didn’t feel VIP.
Housekeeping was inconsistent and slow. Our room was passed over multiple times; we had to ask staff repeatedly for service. On our third day, no one came at all until we contacted the butler.
Be aware that you will hear the neighboring resort — loud music played late into the night.
In-room amenities were also lacking. The TV offers about five channels (four sports) with no streaming options, and the resort blocks casting or screen mirroring. These are basic features at this price tier. There are also no drawers for clothing storage — an odd and inconvenient design choice.
Main Resort
The beach is minuscule — about the size of the Castle pool. If you’re looking for a true ocean-swimming experience, this is not the place. The resort doesn’t even offer goggles or snorkels for rent.
Every sun chair at the main pool is claimed by 8:30 a.m., so plan accordingly.
Food was mixed:
• Casa Bella: solid breakfast and lunch.
• Steakhouse: average (3/5).
• Other restaurants opened sporadically.
The “nicer” restaurants did not enforce their dress code, and loud, disruptive patrons were not addressed, which detracted from the atmosphere.
The onsite market is extremely overpriced — though that’s somewhat expected at resorts.
Bottom Line
This was a subpar experience that didn’t justify the cost. It felt mid-tier at best, despite premium pricing. I would vacation elsewhere or spend slightly more to stay somewhere that truly delivers a four-star experience.

We attended a friend's 40th birthday at the Castle, booked through Costco travel. The resort is not new yet is well maintained. Our room came with a butler named Alexander and he was wonderful to work with.
We dined at Casa Bella, Steakhouse, and Wok, but couldn't get a reservation at the Italian restaurant, a common issue at resorts since you cannot book before you arrive.
The food was good with diverse options. The castle has its own pool, which is nice, but rude guests reserve chairs all day without using them, limiting seating. This problem exists at other pools and the beach.
The PM pub hosts nightly shows and dancing; we enjoyed the independent show and ABBA tribute, which were both excellent. During the day, they offer activities like a fun mixology class with Gigi and Bryan; punctuality is important due to limited spots.

My husband and I chose Sanctuary Cap Cana for our honeymoon after a ton of research and we couldn't be happier with our choice! The resort was absolutely stunning, and extremely clean and well kept. We chose a room in the Castle and not only was our view gorgeous, the room was also beautiful. Housekeeping was fantastic and very consistent. We worked with J.T. and he was fantastic! We also booked a Bali Bed package for a day and Elvi was our server - he was also amazing and attentive. We spent some time at the Ocean Bar as well- shoutout to the bartenders up there but especially Christy! All of the staff was incredible! Overall, this was an unbelievable trip and we are so thankful to the staff at Sanctuary Cap Cana for all the hard work they did to make our experience for our honeymoon so wonderful!
The resort did have many activities during the day and night, however, the vibe was definitely more romantic and quiet so if you are looking for a party resort this may not be the place for you, but for our honeymoon and first true getaway, it was perfect!

The architecture is simply breathtaking, with all of the warm travertine and limestone creating a cozy but updated Spanish castle setting. Never have we experienced a more friendly and gracious staff and customer service experience. Our butler Juan Lugo was sure to tend to our every need and go the extra mile whenever possible. Claribel, our wedding planner, was an incredible guide and beyond helpful at every decision-making and planning step of the process. The food was also great, with many of the restaurants offering spectacular vistas. The vibe was also perfectly balanced, as there were certainly many activities and nightlife to take advantage of, without feeling surrounded by a crazy, partying type of energy. We can’t wait to plan our next trip to return here to the beautiful Sanctuary

Absolutely loved our family week at Hyatt Ziva. The ocean water is beautifully calm, warm and shallow to the barrier. The pools were terrific & deeper than most resort pools. My only complaint was the roof of the swimup bar in main pool was being re-tarred and tar was dripped to the bottom of pool...got on several of us and was itchy and uncomfortable. Rooms beautiful...splurged for swim-up/ocean front and didn't regret it! Lots of wonderful activities for our older teens..waterpark was awesome! Didn't have a single bad meal there but appetizers at Bar are definitely not same as American bar appetizers so be open minded. Italian restaurant was a huge hit with our family. Not a party vibe...which I loved....some fun during the day but ready for quiet by 11pm. Private beach was wonderful....I've only ever been at vendor allowed beach so this was extra special. On the expensive side (but so worth it and we did go peak season), so probably a one time only for our family of four...but would definitely consider a trip just the two of us again.

Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana is three hotels situated on the coast in the Dominican Republic catering for all types. We stayed at Cap Cana Secrets, an adults only hotel. On arrival at the hotel you are assigned a concierge wh caters for your every need, booking restaurants, informing you of the daily events, etc.
The hotel itself is like a mini paradise ,very verdant with breathtaking ocean views. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing is to much trouble for them There are events on all day throughout the complex, with an evening entertainment show at night.
Food is excellent. The breakfast buffet caters for all types of eaters. There are five restaurants, Sushi, Mexican, French, Italian and a steakhouse. To eat inside at the French and Italian restaurants men need to wear long trousers, no shoes - it is worth it
This is our first visit to the resort. It won't be our last, such is the welcoming, friendly impression it has on us

This was our fourth year staying at this resort and we have already booked again for next year. We cannot say enough about the amenities and beautiful property! The staff is so friendly and helpful, and many have remembered us from year to year. Deiby, the bartender at Cocoonz, along with the rest of the crew at the club pool, went above and beyond to make every day feel festive and fun. We brought our adult kids this year and Deiby was great, joking around and even teaching them a few Spanish phrases! He also made a special effort one afternoon to find me a pretty plastic wine glass I could take to the beach (because sometimes a fun glass makes all the difference!)
We met so many great people from all over during our stay. The cocktail making classes every afternoon were interesting, informative, and a great way to get out of the sun for an hour or so.
We also splurged on a spa day and it was totally worth it. The hydrotherapy alone is a treat! We followed up the spa by taking out one of the resort sailboats for some unforgettable family memories. Highly recommend this resort! Lots of ways to enjoy, relax, and unwind in a beautiful tropical paradise.

Second time staying on this property with my family. Perfect for all ages. Clean and safe everywhere. The private Cap Cana access makes this unique in the area. Deiby, our poolside bartender made it a point to get to know my family and he worked hard to anticipate our needs - exceptional level of service, that came across as genuine and someone having fun with what they do. Would 100% recommend this property.

We just got back from Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana, and I’m already missing it. The grounds are absolutely beautiful—super lush and perfectly kept.
Family Fun
Our 12 year old twins had the best time ever. While the waterpark was a top spot for them, they were honestly just as obsessed with the rest of the resort. A huge highlight for them was the non-alcoholic drinks—the staff made them feel so special with these fancy, delicious mocktails that they couldn't get enough of!
Amazing People & Eats
The service and the people who work here are amazing. Everyone is so friendly and genuinely seems happy to help. The food is a total win, too. Usually, all-inclusive food can be hit or miss, but here it’s above average to great. I especially appreciated the buffet setup where the food is served from behind glass—it felt much cleaner and more premium.
A Couple of Downsides
No place is 100% perfect, so a couple of things to keep in mind: the pools aren't heated, so they can feel a bit chilly when you first jump in. Let's at least get the club pool heated. Also, while most of the food was awesome, the chicken fingers weren't very good—a bit of a bummer for the kids, but there were so many other great options they didn't mind too much.
The Club Upgrade
One tip: I would say Club Access isn't necessary because the resort is already so high-quality. But, we did the upgrade and met Keiber in the Club Lounge, and he totally made it worth it. He’s an incredible bartender and such a great person—he really made our trip feel extra special. Next trip we will do Club again just to see him.

The resort has a few good highlights. The food trucks and ice cream shop were nice additions, and the newly renovated family club rooms are modern and comfortable.
However, there were several drawbacks. The food menu was not very versatile, and the buffet served the same items every day. Vegetarian options were very limited. The Wi-Fi was poor, and there was a noticeable lack of nightly entertainment. Even small things, like no lemon and mint available for mojitos for one day!
Overall, it was an average experience. Based on my previous trips, I would recommend considering other resorts for better variety and overall value.

This was our first time here, and our first all inclusive vacation.
The staff are super friendly people even though I only know 2 Spanish words. The young man in the main buffet making omelets to order each morning (I wish I could remember his name) made the start of each morning here special! Always a smile, a wave, and kind greetings!
A very beautiful beach, well kept grounds, rooms and beds are top notch.
We stayed in the family zone. Our grandchildren were catered to with activities, water slide park and a family pool.
There is even a buffet in the family area specifically designed to make the littles happy.
The food, how can I say this strongly enough, I am a food lover and neither I nor any of our family group were ever disappointed with the volume or the quality of the food. The included al a carte restaurants are worth checking out. We soon found a favorite and returned a few times.
Our stay was 2 weeks and we always had something to do, somewhere to lounge in the sun and something to occupy the littles with.
We will return.

RED FLAG: I am going to start with this so it doent get lost in my review as I feel its important. the family selection resort looks fun and was fun up until a point. However, on our third day, one of the water buckets that fills up and dumps broke off from above, full of water, crashing down and absolutely destroying the platform. Kids were playing on that water park. Stop and think if there was a child in that section when it came down. Kids were in that section moments before... It would have killed a kid. It would have killed an adult with how heavy it was. No one came over the check on it until three dads were pulling this bucket off to the side. They shut it down for 30min before turning it back on saying they would check the integrity later.... We checked in with the staff to see if this was acctually done and not one person could assure us if it was. Inspecting the waterpark a little closer with our own eyes you could see the wear and tear... we were terrified to send our kids on there not knowing if one of the other three buckets would come crashing down and actually killing a kid this time. I was EXTREMELY disappointment with how they handled it. A family could have been bringing a child home in a body bag. It makes me think a little harder about how I pick future resorts with water parks knowing that the standard of upkeep of these structures isn't the same as it is in North America. The pictures they have posted are NOT up to date.
Aside from this, this hotel was pretty good. In the Family selection, I enjoyed the private bar, ice cream truck, and buffet for just our area. The food was good, no complaints and the options endless. We had time for the food trucks, The steak house, Mexican, Teppanaki, and Italian restaurants. The service was a bit slow and you didnt always get what your ordered, or sometimes things were missing which was a bit hard with kids but everything was tasty and no one got sick. I will say we did have a big group so that may have been the issue with the mix up in the orders and the length, but when we did eat I was very impressed. To book restaurants you had to book on the resort app which barely worked and was a bit frustrating. I think this was due to Wifi being so awful. It was only a big deal for us since we had a huge group and was trying to keep track of where people were but we made things work. Guest services was helpful in booking restaurants however so that is a way around it.
The rooms, pools, general bathrooms, resort greenery was very clean and the staff was friendly. There is a section on the resort that is a green, jungle space. I think it may be a swamp and it smelled pretty awful when you went through it but just hold your breath.
I got the family selection swim out which I absolutely loved. It was perfect for my 3year old and 6month old. It allowed my 6m to nap while we were still able to be pool side. The rooms were spacious and clean. The tiles however were extremely slippery. Not a great choice for a pool resort.
The resort is large. They did have a tram which my kids loved so no complaints there but you did have the trekk down to the beach from the family selection and for people in the regular rooms it seemed like they had to make the trek to our area where most of the restaurants were.
I would have been blown away by this resort had the waterpark not nearly killed a child and they handled things a bit better. But this is something I cant forget and other families should be aware of.

While the staff and grounds were lovely, I feel it’s important for future guests to know that all three of us became sick daily from the food, which seems tied to hygiene or food handling. This issue, along with the constant upsells, poor communication, and weak family offerings, means we would not return and do not recommend.
Pros:
The swim-up room was great and very clean.
Staff throughout the property were genuinely kind and welcoming.
The resort grounds are well-maintained with lots of visible upkeep.
We appreciated the cute birthday package that was left in the room.
Cons:
Unfortunately, several issues overshadowed the experience:
(1) The constant upselling throughout the resort was overwhelming. From the moment we arrived, we were approached for a timeshare-style “membership” pitch that took up a lot of our initial time. Once on the beach, vendors were immediately allowed to approach us on the sand to sell products and services, which made it hard to relax. Even while enjoying our swim-up room, staff came by upselling spa packages. It felt like we were being sold something at every turn rather than simply enjoying our stay.
(2) The food was a major problem. From the first meal to the last, all three of us experienced stomach issues daily. It felt like food was left out too long, with bugs circulating around the buffet, and cross contamination.
(3) Buffets rarely changed from day to day, which added to the disappointment.
(4) The WiFi is extremely poor unless you pay an upcharge — another money trap. WiFi still sucked.
(5) You cannot take food from the buffet, and room service is not included, both of which felt like unnecessary nickel-and-diming.
(6) Events are not clearly communicated. For example, one night there were fireworks around 2am that were never mentioned anywhere. Not inclusive of families with children.
(7) The amount of smoking everywhere on the property (cigarettes, cigars, weed) was overwhelming. There didn’t appear to be designated smoking areas, which is surprising for a family resort.
(8) Our daughter said the kids club didn’t run the activities listed, which was disappointing since we chose the resort partly for that. In chatting with other families, they had similar feedback.
(9) Transportation wait times (train/shuttle to the beach) were sometimes 15–20 minutes. We also saw people with strollers struggle to board due to crowding and aggressive boarding.

I stayed at the family Princess Bávaro. The hotel is stunning, with so many amenities and pools. The food options were great, but never hot. My husband, daughter and I were sick for days, we think it was the food as, when we returned home, everything went back to normal within a day. The alcohol they serve is also cheap and was tough on the system. This said, this was a fantastic experience for my daughter. There are toys in the room for kids to use, great toddler and kid water slides, and wading pools for littlest. The wildlife was amazing.
Unfortunately my grandmother had to go to the hospital and they over charged and misdiagnosed her. The hospital is linked to the hotel. If you have to go, I suggest you go to a hospital closer to the hotel and not affiliated with them. It seemed like a money grab; they kept her longer than necessary and prescribed things that were not necessary for her symptoms.additionally, they charged more than what the bill said.
After looking at other reviews, I see other people had the same experience with the hospital.
This, combined with other experiences, has convinced us to never go back to Punta Cana.
