Spent five nights here in winter 2020 (just before the COVID outbreak). Our room was fine, nothing special. Housekeeping (or other staff members) would let themselves into our room on several occasions without knocking or announcing themselves at all. Restaurant service was mostly abysmal, with over 45 minutes of waiting for any dinner service on our first night. The beach was a bust, because we couldn’t sit in peace for even a moment without some type of saleperson approaching us to try and sell us their wares. Absolutely wouldn’t come here again.

After flying 10hours from France and not knowing what to expect , I can say that I spent an amazing 10 days vacation in Be Live Collection Adults Only Punta Cana with my mother in every way.
The hotel is very clean, cozy,and beautifully designed. The rooms are very spacious, clean and have very comfortable beds.
The chefs and the staff are very friendly having always a service with a smile.
The food was very fresh and tasty with lots of variety .
The beach was beautiful and long , great for walks.
In addition the General Manager and Nicolas from the VP desk were very attentive to our needs and made us feel like home.
I highly recommend this hotel and will definitively come back even if I have to fly another 10hours ! :)

My family and I came to this hotel for our summer holiday in July, it was lovely! Amazing views and generally quite clean, we had a few issues with our first room but was quickly and easily sorted! The food in the buffet is quite simple but the restaurant system is very good. All of the staff are super friendly and welcoming, most of them speak English too which is great. The entertainment is great with something different everyday, biggest appreciation to ‘sexy belly’ who never fails to make everyone laugh! All around a nice experience and would recommend, definitely would visit this hotel again.

I read a lot of reviews before coming here. Many said it wasn't good and many said it was great. I've had a great stay. The food has been plentiful and good. Most of the staff greets you with a smile and have been super helpful. Daniel, who is in charge of activities, went above and beyond to make sure our family was having fun during our vacation. The resort is small and cozy and not too busy. There are little things here and there around the resort that people can nitpick but I feel for the money, it has been a great time. When you come, find Daniel and prepare to have a good time.

Been here 3x and 5x over all in Dominican. Place has always treated me, my family and friends extremely well. If you had bad service your probably cheap (tips) or rude to them. I tipped well and they never stopped serving me and remembered us 2 years later. Room and resort was always super clean. The buffet was great. The Steak house wasn’t my favourite but remember where you are the beef ain’t like back home. But the other a la carts were delicious. One down fall is the ocean water you have to walk a little bit to have nice water. But this place have multiple pools. If you enjoy staying out late they have a amazing disco. 24 hour snack bar with wings, pizza and burgers was great at 3am. Best bang for your money hands down.

We spent in that hotel 10 days. Hotel was great, staff helped suitcases to the room and when checked out took them to lobby area. Hotel itself if nice, staff very friendly. We had no problems at all. Lots of sunbeds at swimming area and beach, beach was just near to swimming pool area. Food was okay, but we understand it as there are lots of tourists to feed. We preferred buffet. Also we tried other restaurants, they were nice too. Staff everywhere are just amazing. Room cleaned every day, new towels every day. Beach was clean and nice, had some rocks in the water, but not a big deal. Hotel had lots of trip out choices, so we went for 4 trips. I would definitely come back again ❤️

The hotel is large and has a lot to offer: a beautiful beach, pools, games, attractions for children, and restaurants from around the world. Everyone will find something for themselves. I really liked the hotel app on my phone, because I could make restaurant reservations at any time and check the attractions for a given day. A note to all spa lovers: you can't miss it. These are top-notch services. I had the full Rainforest package: hot stone massage, sauna, and jacuzzi. I'd like to thank Elba, who gave me the best massage ever.I will never forget that feeling.

Of course, you will say this is not true and that almost no guests were sick. However, I spoke to many people around the hotel and did not meet a single person who did not have the same problem.
When I went to reception to report this, the young man there was extremely rude. Instead of listening or showing concern, he became defensive and dismissive. This seems to be how the hotel deals with problems: deny everything and blame the guests.
In our last few days, the situation became shocking. People were vomiting around the buffet during meal times. Only then did the hotel start giving out hand sanitiser before entering the restaurant. But the problem is not the guests. Something is seriously wrong with the water, the food, or the hygiene. Instead of properly investigating, the hotel keeps saying they are “not aware” of any issue.
This was not our first trip to the Dominican Republic, and we have never experienced anything like this before.
For anyone who has already booked this hotel, please be careful:
• Do not drink the water they pour into your glass during meals
• Do not use ice
For us, pizza and French fries were the only food we felt safe eating.
This was clearly not a virus. Babies who were fed mainly on their mothers’ milk, formula, or food brought by their parents stayed healthy. That says a lot.
This experience was stressful and upsetting. What should have been a relaxing holiday turned into constant worry about getting sick. I would never return and strongly warn others to think carefully before booking this hotel.

The stay was overall good : very nice staff (especially Erik at the breeze bar, and Joan as restaurants supervisor), good and abundant food, comfortable beds, nice beach, good tennis equipment with free light until 7pm, etc.
We also appreciated that most of the à la carte restaurants don't require reservation and that you don't need bracelet to stay in this hotel.
Let me point out some little minus that could be improved:
- the two small pools which are supposed to be hot tubs or whirlpools are neither of the two.
- only one main pool, not suitable for swimming (not a big problem with the warm and calm sea just nearby).
- only one shower near the beach, a bit too far from the sea and often congested.
- the beach bar is too often congested, could be better with one or two more employees.
- daytime animation program is not "sporty" enough : sometimes ping-pong, never tennis nor badminton. Mostly childish games.
- sunbeds in the shadow not so easy to find after 7am, there are signs saying not to reserve them but it's not enforced. Maybe some staff you warn that they remove them at a certain moment in the morning when the sunbeds are obviously unused for a while?
- last but not least : the beach should have a limited smoking zone in order to keep the non-smokers comfortable.
We would go back again if we have time among other travel plans.

Amazing time at the whole resort. There is a bar close to the beach called Tortuga and we met the nicest guy at the whole resort! Diango Made sure we were always taken care of and very knowledgeable of the area. Also, I would like to say if you want to experience the best massage ever request Mercedes! Not only did she give the best massage we lost a valuable piece of jewelry and she found it for us and came looking for us to let us know they found it! Thank you to Diango and Mercedes for making this a very unforgettable trip!!

Our stay at the Impressive Premium Resort & Spa was truly memorable and made our honeymoon extra special! From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and eager to help — even those who spoke less English went out of their way to assist us with directions and anything we needed.
We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a beautiful beach-facing room. The variety of food options and daily activities was excellent, and the shows each night were definitely worth both the time and money. The drinks at the Premium Beach were fantastic, and the bartenders were amazing with a bit of swagger to their service which added personality.
Special recognition to the kitchen, service, and housekeeping teams — you can tell they take real pride in their work. A very special thank-you to our butler, Jose Tema, who checked in with us daily to ensure we were enjoying our honeymoon and continuously offered ways to make it even better. Jose and the team went above and beyond by decorating our room and turning it into a truly special occasion. That kind of world-class service is something we’ll never forget.
We’d also like to mention Luis Vega, our destination service representative, who clearly explained the transportation process to ensure we didn't miss our flight and gave us great advice to make the most of our trip.
While the resort was undergoing some construction during our stay, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. It’s an amazing place to visit, and we loved all the different restaurant options that they had, enough for us to try a different style of restaurant each night. I’d highly recommend this resort to anyone — especially if you’re lucky enough to have Jose as your butler!. An amazingly friendly guy who was very humble to his core.

What made it special the rest of the trip ,to us it was the people that work within for impressive that we met along the way . A few amazing staff members from the Buffet, Esperanza, Martha, the juice bar lady and some of the cook line folks -Thank You for treating us like family ! Great entertaining group ! Thx for spaghetti for taking the time to get to know you better . Keep up that spirit . Beautiful Beach view , and it was clean the whole time we were there !

Let's split this into parts:
Service: terrible. Like really really terrible. We told them we needed a crib three times before arriving and reserved a room with two beds so our other child had a bed. We arrived, mentioned it again during check-in. Got to our room, only a king bed in it. Called and told them again. Then called again. And again. And again. Three hours later we found a housekeeper in the hallway, she radioed another housekeeper, then five minutes later we had both. Everytime we asked, they said "it's on the way". This type of experience happened over and over again in many different ways.
Food: it's bad. No way around it. The Japanese place on site is the only one that is ok but that's because they use soy sauce to season. We didn't get sick but I talked to people who did.
Price: it's the cost of a four star but it's a three star hotel, maybe two.
The room: we had bugs in the bathroom and the air conditioner couldn't get the room below 78 degrees. The sheets smelled damp the whole trip. And there was a period of four hours with no water in the whole resort. We didn't want to move rooms because of how hard it was to get in our room in the first place.
The view: incredible!!! Our room was next to the beach and pool and drinks. Super convenient.
The grounds: incredible!!! Kept very clean and nice.
The activities: really good for our two kids.
Overall: I'd never ever ever go back.

Overall, Impressive Punta Cana is a good hotel. The rooms were clean, the organization around the resort was nice, and the beach was amazing — definitely one of the best parts of the stay. The hotel grounds are well maintained, and the staff was generally friendly and polite. Plus the activities are very good!
The biggest negative point was transportation, especially to and from the airport. The hotel does not offer a shuttle service and provides no real assistance for arrival or departure. Transportation was chaotic when we arrived at the airport, and we almost got left behind. You really have to figure everything out on your own. If you’re stuck at the airport or trying to leave, the hotel does not help — you’re basically on your own.
Another serious issue was the excursion sellers inside the hotel. Prices appeared to vary depending on the guest, and in some cases were significantly inflated. There was a lot of pressure to pay immediately, including rushing guests to the ATM, which was extremely uncomfortable.
In my case, the seller stood next to me at the ATM, attempted to handle my bank card, and tried to select a savings withdrawal himself. He withdrew 12,000 Dominican pesos, saying he would return with change, but never did, even after we asked for it.
While this kind of behavior might unfortunately be expected outside the resort, it is completely unacceptable from people operating inside the hotel. This experience seriously affected our sense of safety and trust.

What a lovely resort, we have been here for 4 days so far and I’m from the UK so might differ my opinion compared to other American reviews.
The pools are great, warm and they have activities in the pool to keep you entertained during the day. Though the floor is very crumbly and paint chipped everywhere but doesn’t ruin the overall experience of the pool. The beach is stunning that the hotel owns, like a little paradise there’s a bar on the beach as well just before you go onto it. All the drinks are exceptional for an all inclusive hotel (I’ve stayed in all inclusive and they’ve always been really crappy) but these ones are nice, they do slushy pina coladas and daiquiris and whole menu of inclusive cocktails, rums, tequilas, gin and tonic and so on.
There’s reps everywhere selling excursions and you can get them cheaper to what you’ve found on GetYourGuide.
The food is delicious that they have here, breakfast was my favourite there are so many options for food plenty of fresh fruits and different food every night and they also do freshly stone baked pizza every day.
The rooms are okay, the thing is the rooms are decent nothing amazing but beds are comfy you get a little balcony but the bedroom smells musty especially when you turn on the air con.
Also if you miss dinner there’s a snack bar open till 2am near the pool! This was very handy for us as we arrived at midnight and was really hungry it was a saviour!!

The hotel grounds are well maintained, and the staff was generally friendly and polite. Plus the activities are very good!
The biggest negative point was transportation, especially to and from the airport. The hotel does not offer a shuttle service and provides no real assistance for arrival or departure. Transportation was chaotic when we arrived at the airport, and we almost got left behind. You really have to figure everything out on your own. If you’re stuck at the airport or trying to leave, the hotel does not help — you’re basically on your own.
Another serious issue was the excursion sellers inside the hotel. Prices appeared to vary depending on the guest, and in some cases were significantly inflated. There was a lot of pressure to pay immediately, including rushing guests to the ATM, which was extremely uncomfortable.
In my case, the seller stood next to me at the ATM, attempted to handle my bank card, and tried to select a savings withdrawal himself. He withdrew 12,000 Dominican pesos, saying he would return with change, but never did, even after we asked for it.
While this kind of behavior might unfortunately be expected outside the resort, it is completely unacceptable from people operating inside the hotel. This experience seriously affected our sense of safety and trust.

What a lovely resort, we have been here for 4 days so far and I’m from the UK so might differ my opinion compared to other American reviews.
The pools are great, warm and they have activities in the pool to keep you entertained during the day. Though the floor is very crumbly and paint chipped everywhere but doesn’t ruin the overall experience of the pool. The beach is stunning that the hotel owns, like a little paradise there’s a bar on the beach as well just before you go onto it. All the drinks are exceptional for an all inclusive hotel (I’ve stayed in all inclusive and they’ve always been really crappy) but these ones are nice, they do slushy pina coladas and daiquiris and whole menu of inclusive cocktails, rums, tequilas, gin and tonic and so on.
There’s reps everywhere selling excursions and you can get them cheaper to what you’ve found on GetYourGuide.
The food is delicious that they have here, breakfast was my favourite there are so many options for food plenty of fresh fruits and different food every night and they also do freshly stone baked pizza every day.
The rooms are okay, the thing is the rooms are decent nothing amazing but beds are comfy you get a little balcony but the bedroom smells musty especially when you turn on the air con.
Also if you miss dinner there’s a snack bar open till 2am near the pool! This was very handy for us as we arrived at midnight and was really hungry it was a saviour!!

The resort was very nice and animated. The food was very good but you have to book for the specific restaurants on the day you get there. All the restaurants are delicious and varied; and the portions are decently big. The buffet which does not require reservations is quite diversified and very good. The rooms are clean and spacious and cleaned up everyday. The beach is very nice and a lot of sunchairs are available. There is enough shade if needed. The pools are a bit chill but no complaints. The bars are great and free.
Finally, the animation is great, although it is not a resort you would go to party every night. The spanish class with Francesco and Eunice. The pool party as well as the balloon party were very enjoyable.
As a whole, if you want to relax but also want a fair bit of animation, this is the right place to go 😁!

We just came back from our vacation at Caribe Deluxe Princess. And I should say those guys deserve 5 stars. All staff members are very friendly and helpful, all of them try hard to make you feel comfortable. Pools clean and nice, and having 3 of them with different vibes is a huge advantage. Beach nice and clean. Food at the buffet good and great variety of options. Restaurants good as well - I would say Dominican and Mexican the best. And omg…coffee at coffee shop - the best, not even all Canadian coffee shops have such good cappuccino. Entertainment team - 5/5.
Overall great experience. And highly recommended to families with kids.

We stayed at Punta Cana Princess for a week. While the resort grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful, our overall experience was disappointing.
Unfortunately, the food quality did not meet our expectations. The buffet selection was very similar across all restaurants (including the sister resort), and we found it difficult to find fresh and enjoyable meals. The quality of meat and fish was especially disappointing, so I mostly ate salads and fruit during our stay. Fruit was good, desserts were okay, but overall food quality could be improved.
We also visited several à la carte restaurants: Mexican (Steakhouse), Italian, Mediterranean, and Swiss Fondue. The Swiss fondue was the best option for us, although portions were small and side dishes were limited. The other restaurants, however, did not stand out in terms of food quality.
Additionally, my husband experienced stomach issues during our stay, so we would recommend guests to be cautious with food and drinks, especially beverages with ice.
Another thing worth mentioning is the room design. The bathroom and shower have glass doors, which look modern but offer very little privacy. Even for a couple, this can feel uncomfortable.
Overall, the resort has a beautiful atmosphere and great staff, but food quality and room privacy are areas that definitely need improvement. We hope this feedback helps management enhance the guest experience in the future.

Great resort for adult to relax. The reason I don't give this resort 5 stars is because of the food. With that being said, the servers made up for the quality and lack of variety. The animation team are awsome! Always keeping visitors involved. Each of them are great dancers as well. Having access to the sister resort, Tropical Deluxe Princess, is a plus. I Recommend this resort.

Overall experience at Punta Cana Princess was delightful. The staff was attentive and outstanding. They made us feel right at home. The beach area was beautiful and relaxing and the pool area was fun and filled with activities. We enjoyed the best of both of those daily. The staff worked hard to make New Year’s Eve special despite the weather. The buffet was a showstopper and the party in the lobby was a good time! The rooms are the only drawback to the resort. The housekeeping staff did a great job keeping them clean but they are in need of an update, especially the bathroom. Hopefully there are plans of that in the near future. This was our first trip to Punta Cana and the Princess, but it won’t be our last.

We have been to many all-inclusive adults only resorts in Punta Cana. Punta Cana Princess is an older resort and the rooms are not updated with all the new tech stuff (USB chargers, fancy lamps, etc.) but they are maintained and look nice. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. There was one large pool, compared to other resorts that have multiple pools. The outstanding part of this resort was the beach. Probably the best beach we have been to in Punta Cana. It is wide and nicely slopping into the ocean. There is no coral or rocks in the swimming area and the seaweed was at a minimum. The beachside bar was nice and bartend staff very friendly. The beachside restaurant/bar has very nice seating and is open very late. There were just a few small restaurants that had good food (a very unique fondue place was cool). A nice surprise was the main dining area with buffet. Every all-inclusive has these as the main place to eat and food is not usually very good. However, this buffet was excellent! Food changed a little every day and was very fresh and tasty. If you want to try an all inclusive for the first time to see if you like it, this is the place. Lots of good stuff and it won't break the bank. We upgraded to the Honeymoon suite with the VIP package, definitely worth the little extra money, if you can afford it.

We recently stayed at this resort and overall had a lovely experience. The property is very clean, nicely renovated, and family-friendly, making it a great choice for a relaxing getaway. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, which we really appreciated.
There are, however, a few areas that could be improved:
The AC in the rooms needs an upgrade. We had to change rooms three times, and each one had issues with humidity and poor cooling.
The food could be better, especially by offering more kid-friendly options such as chicken strips, French fries, fried shrimp, and fried calamari. The seafood selection was also below expectations.
I noticed many reviews mention friendly staff, and while everyone we met was polite and helpful, the overall warmth and enthusiasm felt a bit missing — a few more smiles would make guests feel even more welcome.
We had some difficulty communicating in English, as around 80% of the staff we interacted with did not speak it well. However, this wasn’t a big issue for us — everyone tried their best to assist, which we truly appreciated.
Overall, it’s a beautiful, clean, and family-oriented resort with a lot of potential. With small improvements in comfort, food variety, and communication, it could easily become a perfect five-star destination!

We stayed for a week at this resort. Don't even know where to start. The rooms had AC that barely worked and it smelled like a public bathroom. They just sprayed some kind of air freshener to mask the smell. The mini fridge was room temperature. There were a ton of mosquitos inside the rooms and we all got bit at least 20 times each. We complained to the front desk who said they'll fumigate and never did.
Their housekeeping would clean the rooms and take all the bath towels and not give them back. We had to call them multiple times just to get towels.
Food was subpar it felt like we were eating the same food every day because we couldn't get reservations even though we tried within the second day. I have no idea what kind of meat they put in their burger but it was strange.
The Wi-Fi worked 10% of the time. The only saving grace was that the beach was decent and we enjoyed the pool and the beach. The staff made some of our time there fun at least.
I won't be coming back. I would suggest to go to a different resort for a better time.

Beautiful beach. Had late flight and late pick up. Was able to use everything in resort including dinning after check out. Bell men cut our bracelets when he help us with suitcase when our transport arrived. Very nice resort on budget.

My stay at Tropical Deluxe Princess was absolutely awful from start to finish. I would strongly advise anyone considering this resort to look elsewhere.
The Food was Inedible:
The biggest disappointment was the food. It was absolutely dissapointing at every single location on the property. From the buffet to the specialized restaurants, the quality was so poor that most of it was completely inedible. The biggest dissapointment was the tex mex restaurant where we waited over an hour and a half while watching tables that arrived after us eat and leave only to be served a portion of the 2 smallest tacos I've ever seen in my life, filled with over cooked meat and completely bland. When you pay for a 5 star resort, you expect decent meals, but we struggled to find anything we could actually eat. It was a total waste of money. And to top it off toward the end of my stay the food left my stomach so upset I had diarrhea for nearly 5 days.
Room Conditions:
The rooms are incredibly outdated, and we even found a large cockroach in ours. Cleanliness is clearly not a priority here; the rooms were never properly cleaned, and we were forced to ask for basic necessities like fresh towels every single day. Air conditioning never worked and the mini fridge was basically room temperature
Poor Service & Facilities:
The facilities are gross and poorly maintained, and the service was subpar throughout the entire resort. There is no attention to detail or guest comfort.
Verdict: > Do not be fooled by the photos. Between the poor food and the lack of basic hygiene. Save your money and book somewhere else that actually values its guests.

We had a lovely stay at Grand Palladium Punta Cana. It’s a very spacious resort, so be prepared to do some walking, but the layout is beautiful.
Dining Highlights:
* El Dorado: The best service of our trip! Jhonathan was incredible at anticipating our needs, and the steak with pepper sauce was seasoned to perfection.
* Adelita: An Instagrammable spot with amazing Chicken Mole and Churros.
* Bamboo: Beautifully renovated, though the food was a bit salty and service was slow.(albeit they had just reopened)
* Buffet: A consistently good selection of options every day.
Drinks & Service:
The lobby bar is the place to be—Letitia provides the absolute best bar service on the property! The fresh passionfruit mojitos are a must-try, though remember to specifically ask for top-shelf liquor.
The Room:
Our room was spacious and very clean. However, the interiors are starting to feel like they need an update, and I personally wasn't a fan of the glass doors for the toilet—it lacks a bit of privacy.
Beach & Atmosphere:
The beach is beautiful, but it’s popular; you’ll need to arrive early to snag a chair. Overall, this is a very quiet resort. I’d highly recommend it for families or anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing vacation.

This is a great place to stay and great family environment. The room is a bit dated, aside from that this place is really wonderful. We spent our entire time at the pools or at the beach and they are both fantastic. Facility is clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Be aware, if you accept the invitation for the tour and membership sales pitch, it can take quite a bit of time, and will be a sales pitch for a membership, after all. Just say "no thank you" right up front if this isn't something you are interested in.

We have travelled to many resorts plus enjoyed over 30 cruises and this resort rates at the top of them all.
Dining service plus food was truly 5 star . As usual specialty dining was hard to book but worth the wait.

This was our third stay at Grand Palladium. You really do feel like you go from guests to family. We are bravaro travel club members, but with bravaro under renovations I wasnt sure what to expect. Our room was perfect, we had 3 girls in a loft bedroom. Plenty of room and space for the 3 of us. The entertainment this year was awesome, the palace lobby had alot of show nights as well as we did the white party and the chic cabaret. THE FOOD, I felt this year was the best out of the 3 years I have been there. Buffets had a ton of options and the a la cartes, were so good. My favorite restaurants were Sumptori, Helios, Caprichios, Bhogii. The beach was stunning. The spa was a 10/10 of course. We did a private party boat excursion that was also 10/10. This resort is truly the best of the best, from the facilities, entertainment, food, beaches to the people. We really do feel like family here. HUGE shout out to Maritza for always making sure we have everything we need, checking in on us (before, during and after our stay) we love seeing her every year. Another huge shoutout to Christopher and Julio, our drivers for the week. They were so kind, funny, and always willing to drive us around. They were also very fast to communicate with on WhatsApp on the resort. Another huge shoutout to our Palace lobby bartenders/ servers... Jyostin, Angelique, Lyuigi, John, although we just met Angelique this year, we have known the other boys for 3 years. Every time we see them they are just as happy to see us, as we are of them. They know our orders off by heart, they are kind, sweet, and funny. We go for a drink before supper every night just to see them. They all treated us so good. We love our nights at the lobby and WE LOVE YOUU!!! ❤️ can't wait to come back next year xoxo Victoria and the girls 💕

This place was amazing. Me and my wife had a very relaxing 5 days here. Very clean and the service was amazing. We stayed close to the beach where they have cafe del Mar. The bartender Jose Luis R made us feel very welcoming and he made the best drinks and amazing coffee. The cafe location also has a breathtaking view at the ocean. One thing I would improve is the entertainment was a little cheesy and maybe some better sport activities at the beach.

As a group of 19 people, ranging from 4 months old to 93 years old, we thoroughly enjoyed our 10 night stay at The Grand Bavaro Princess.
I've read some of the reviews and our experience couldn't have been any more different!
We weren't platinum, just standard(!); the rooms were huge and extremely spacious. A couple of the rooms did have a musty/ damp smell - but we decided to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt due to proximity to the beach and the damp climate! We did mention this and the hotel sent the cleaners in to do a thorough clean. We were located across building numbers 7, 8 and 9.
The beach is beautiful. Well maintained, not too busy and picture perfect.
The food is ok. We tried many of the restaurants, as well as the buffet; the teppenyaki and the Indian were the standouts. The others were distinctly average, both in terms of the food and the service.
The service across the resort was disappointing. At the majority of hotels I've ever stayed at, the staff go above and beyond for you - it's part of the job working on hospitality. Unfortunately this wasn't the feeling we were left with as, often, it felt like you were an inconvenience. Of course there were exceptions, noticeably the staff at the buffet by the pool who, every morning, were superb.
Some members of our group tried Cafe del Mar, which wasn't included and were massively let down. Children were charged $25 whilst adults were charged $80. Half the food was inevitable, sent back or not eaten. Based on this we, very reasonably, suggested we pay for half the meal but the hotel wouldn't budge and refused to check us out without payment in full.
If you want some crisps, chocolate or anything from the hotel shop, the markup is extortionate - $13 for a pack of Lays crisps! You're better off heading to a local supermarket.
Booking meals for such a large group was not easy at all and we often had to rely on the help of Guest Services - who were extremely helpful. However often Guest Services only had 1 member of staff on the desk - therefore there was usually a 5/10 minute wait to speak to them.
The train / shuttle service throughout the hotel is very useful as the grounds are massive!
It's easy to point out the negatives but, as stated at the top, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would 100% return - the above our merely snags and didn't negatively impact our holiday at all!
If the service were better, I wouldn't hesitate to give 5*...

We are from Brazil and were initially very concerned about the food options at the Grand Bávaro Princess. I must say the resort didn’t disappoint us in any way. All the restaurants are wonderful, offering countless food options, and overall, you are well taken care of at all times. The restaurants themselves are also stunning — truly beautiful spaces that feel elegant and refined, almost like dining in a fine-dining venue. Everything is gorgeous.
The resort is huge, with a beautiful structure, and the rooms are incredibly spacious. We stayed in the Platinum category and have absolutely no regrets. The Platinum beach area is excellent, and the Platinum pool, located close to the beach, is also very good — much quieter than the main pool. The Platinum drink selection is far superior to the regular options, with many high-quality beverages and amazing cocktails.
I would also like to express my gratitude to the bartenders Marino and Glenys at the Platinum pool, as well as the bartenders at the beach bar. They are all extremely kind, friendly, welcoming, and always eager to make your experience better. Their service is truly outstanding.

I had an amazing time at this resort in Punta Cana from start to finish. The property is beautiful, well maintained, and has a very relaxing vibe that makes it easy to unwind and enjoy your vacation. The staff throughout the resort were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed.
One of the highlights of my stay was the bar service, especially Luis the bartender at Cafè del Mar. Luis was absolutely the best — always smiling, incredibly personable, and attentive to every guest. He made fantastic drinks and went out of his way to make everyone feel welcome. His positive energy truly stood out and made each visit to the bar a great experience.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this resort and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Punta Cana. Thanks to the great service, especially from Luis, this trip was unforgettable and I would definitely return.

Overall, Grand Bavaro Princess is a very good hotel. The property is well maintained, the staff is friendly, responsive, and always willing to help. The cuisine is tasty and leans toward European standards, which was a pleasant surprise.
The only downside was the hotel’s policy regarding towel replacement — or rather, the lack of a clear one. Every morning used towels were taken away, but clean ones were not automatically provided. As a result, we had to call the reception almost every evening to ask for fresh towels, which became a bit frustrating over time.
Initially, I planned to leave 4 stars, but I ultimately gave 5 stars thanks to Jose Luis R., who works as a bartender at the beach restaurant. His cocktails are truly exceptional — perfectly balanced, prepared with proper technique, and made with genuine passion and professionalism. After experiencing such dedication and love for his craft, I simply couldn’t rate the hotel lower.
I would strongly encourage management to truly value this employee, as he is one of your hotel’s best ambassadors and someone who genuinely enhances your reputation.
I highly recommend all guests to order cocktails and drinks specifically from Jose Luis R. at the beach restaurant near the children’s playground — you won’t be disappointed.

This is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at in the Dominican Republic.
The resort is extremely clean, very well organized, and offers excellent service throughout the restaurants, beach, and all common areas.
Our butlers—Carlos on our previous trip and Erick on our most recent visit—went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed. Even before our arrival, they arranged Bali beds for us. Nelson at the beach also made our experience truly unforgettable with his outstanding service.
The entertainment is very good. Each night, different areas of the resort feature various performers, which makes the evenings lively and memorable.
Every morning, ice-cold water infused with different fruits is available throughout the resort, which is incredibly refreshing and a very nice touch.
The ocean is the second best I’ve seen in the Dominican Republic—always swimmable, crystal clear, and slightly wavy, which actually makes swimming more enjoyable.
In future updates, I will add more photos of the resort and the beach.
One point of caution:
The showers beside the Preferred area have a step that is slightly sloped. I have seen several people slip and fall there, and I personally fell once and injured my elbow. I raised this concern with the resort multiple times, but unfortunately, it does not seem that the issue is being addressed.

Let’s start with the positives… the beds and pillows are lovely. The rooms are clean to a high standard daily.
The hotel is clean and the slides / pools are great fun and well maintained.
Customer service was some of the rudest we have ever experienced.
The food was editable but that’s it! The service was ridiculously slow ( waiting up to 35 min for a water when entering a restaurant) and all areas for food felt like a canteen.
Drinks are watered down.

It’s my first time visiting DR and wanted to check out some different beaches. Went on a day pass for $85 per person. The staff were all so welcoming and helpful. The resort is really nice and even on a Saturday during a peak travel week, it didn’t feel crowded. There are tons of lounge chairs at pools and beach with a good mix of sun and shade. The beach is beautiful. The day pass hours were 10-5 and we stayed 1030-430. The drinks were good and never a long wait.
The downside was the food - we were not a fan of the buffet. There was a ton of pastries, desserts, fruit but not as much hot food as I expected. I liked the omelet grill for breakfast but surprised there were no pancakes, waffles, french toast, etc. After seeing the lunch buffet, my son wanted to eat somewhere else but I think that was our only option. I was surprised they didn’t have dominican food (mofongo, rice & beans). The coffee shop Coco Cafe was also disappointing. A tiny iced coffee in a paper cup and didn’t like the taste of the frappecino. At an all inclusive - not liking the food and on day 1 is a red flag for me :/

Food was OK. removed a star as 6 out of 10 of us got super sick. VERY sick.
Have been to many resortrs and this one is nice for sure. Not a ton of walking. 24/7 coffee shop is cool.
Preferred guests only can use the kids splash pad.

It's a lovely place but too sprawling and spread out. Have to drive golf cart to get anywhere on crazy winding roads with barely any directions even to eat, go to the beach, or pool. Use the GPS on your phone and hope not to get lost. Food is good for the most part. Staff great. Just a playground for the elite. For their prices, you should drive us everywhere! Not for me. I like a place that's lively and with character, not a bunch of elitist villas with not a soul in site but their Gardners. No thanks.

My husband and I have recently returned from a week's all inclusive holiday and it was my husband's birthday while we were there. The staff made us feel so special especially on his birthday.
The resort was absolutely stunning and there were so many different amazing restaurants to choose from as part of the all inclusive deal, and the food in every single one was absolutely delicious.
Our room was beautiful and kept immaculate by the hotel staff.
We have been to all inclusive resorts before, but this is in a different league! Would highly recommend to anyone.

Set along some of the most beautiful land in the Dominican Republic, Casa de Campo offers visitors almost everything you’d want in a vacation including a gorgeous beach, golf, horseback riding, water sports, shopping and a plenty of bars and restaurants. However, the resort is massive and overall, the staff is completely outmanned by the sheer volume of guests. In addition, the staff is clearly not trained equally in hospitality and so you’ll experience many lows in customer service with occasional highs which for a resort at this price point is not acceptable. The accommodations vary but are on the whole quite lovely. The property is huge so while most rent golf carts, my advice would be to rent a car for your stay as it takes a while to get to most parts of the property on a cart that maxes out at 15mph. Food quality is good not great with high notes being Cafe Marietta, SBG and Shibuya with honorable mention going to La Casita. Don’t show up more than 15 minutes late or they’ll give away your table. Finally, if you don’t speak Spanish, this is probably not the place for you as most of the staff outside of the main hotel and a few restaurants are not fluent in other languages. You can get by but be prepared for a harder road so to speak. Overall, a disappointing experience when compared to the cost and would not recommend to anyone that enjoys more boutique luxury experiences.

We recently stayed at Majestic Colonial Punta Cana, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! The resort is beautifully designed with a great, welcoming atmosphere and very friendly staff who always go out of their way to help.
The open pools are fantastic — spacious, clean, and surrounded by plenty of lounge areas, so it never feels crowded. The food was excellent with lots of variety, fresh ingredients, and delicious flavors — everything was clean and well presented.
Our room was comfortable, with great service throughout our stay. There are plenty of activities and entertainment options inside the hotel, so there’s always something to do. For an additional cost, you can add tours like island excursions and scuba diving, which makes the experience even more exciting.
The private beach was also beautiful — clean, relaxing, and perfect for long walks or just enjoying the ocean view.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Majestic Colonial Punta Cana to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation!

The Pro's: The resort was beautiful. The beach was amazing. The hotel staff was always smiling and happy.
The Con's the food was not up to standards at all. The main water slide did not work all week, which was the main reason we booked this resort for 8 grandkids to enjoy. The circus night was the only good night of entertainment. The rest of the entertainment was horrible and way to loud. We had to ask for towels and face cloths twice.

Solid 4.0-4.5 experience. The resort is beautiful and is pretty large with expansive bar and food options on property. Essentially you cannot be without a drink in hand lol.
We stayed from a Tuesday through Saturday and every night there was a performance/show around a theme. The performances were what they were, 3/5 for those.
Food options were really catered to tourists so there really wasn’t a local feel to any of the food options, unfortunately. Japanese/French/Mexican/American were the overall predominant options. By day 3, the options were underwhelming.
The service is great, shoutout to Samuel who was our personal butler and provided us so much assistance and personal guidance while we stayed. The adults only section was super relaxing.
There is a night club on property, a small casino, and small shops. We never had to leave the resort except for one excursion.
The rooms were definitely on the dated side but the beds and pillow were definitely comfortable and you always had drinks stocked up. Downside was that late night room service was for a fee.
The many pools and swim up bars and private beach was a win too!

Overall, the hotel left a good impression. The territory is large and well maintained, the beach is beautiful, rooms are comfortable, and the staff is polite and helpful. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, great for a vacation.
Food is not the strongest point of the hotel — there is variety, but the taste is rather average and nothing really outstanding. However, you won’t stay hungry, as there are always some decent options available.
In general, we were satisfied with the stay. Good value for money, and the hotel can be recommended if you don’t expect exceptional food.

We had our vacation starting January 4th until the 9th the place is honestly great. My husband and I had a sweet dinner together at one of their restaurants named Taino and it was honestly so fun. The waiters are super awesome and sweet. We had Juan and Anuar serving us and they were super attentive and trying to engage with us in such a fun and friendly manner. My family and I definitely want to come back for another trip and stay at Majestic again! Thank you guys so much!
Just a star lower for rooms because they had an issue only day one for the air conditioning which was fixed upon request within 20mins. And I heard they are closing to do renovations so we are super excited to see the new upgrades. Its definitely recommended if you want an all inclusive resort with very friendly staff, beach front rooms and a huge pool with multiple bars and also a gym and casino AND a theater with themed nights for all their guests. A huge pleasure 😁

We had a wonderful stay, and I already know I would come back. I have not even left yet. One of the highlights was our butler, Aneuris. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely went out of his way to make things easy and special for us, thank you Aneuris!
The food was excellent with lots of variety, and I appreciated the vegetarian and vegan options. Even as two adults, the water park was a blast. The lazy river and slides were so fun. The landscaping is beautiful and really mature, which I loved. Preferred Club was definitely worth it for the quieter pool and beach access. The Japanese and Italian restaurants were our favorites. The only small downside was the evening entertainment, which felt a bit sparse. It would have been nice to have more happening at night.

Being greeted with such beautiful smiles, and enthusiasm was absolutely inviting and set the tone for our friend’s wedding week and so Heartwarming. The food was easy and great! The service is beyond good. We stayed at the preferred side and were taken care of by Amelia and Rosie daily. They were so polite and prompt with us. The rooms were nice, the location to everything was so easy. It never was overwhelming with people, it never felt crowded or congested at anytime. I had a fantastic experience at all of the a la carte as well. Alejandro was a host with the most. I was impressed with the staff's promptness and straight forward approach dealing with allergies as well. So efficient and so personalized should you make it known to your server.

Can’t say enough good things about the resort in general. Perfect for families with beautiful beach and accommodations. Resort employees go above and beyond to care for guests.
With all of that said we had a terrible experience with Scuba Caribe who has a desk in the lobby of the resort. We booked what we thought was a sunset cruise that was ideal for families. Luis promised a catamaran with 10 to 12 people that would have food and drinks provided.
What we experienced was the complete opposite of that. We were crammed onto a catamaran with 40 other people who were already half drunk and continued to be provided unlimited alcohol. Definitely not a family friendly experience and I would’ve expected much more from such a company as Hilton sponsored properties. The cigarette that is causing me to rethink the relationship I have with Hilton properties.

This was a very disappointing stay overall. The biggest issue by far was the food. It was consistently bad and almost always cold. This happened at every single meal: breakfast, lunch, snacks, bar food (including burgers), and dinner. No matter where or when we ate, the food was cold and poorly prepared.
The only decent meal we had was at the Italian restaurant, but even that experience was frustrating because we were given incorrect information on how to make the reservation, which caused unnecessary confusion.
Another major issue was the service. The staff was not friendly, which was surprising considering how warm and welcoming people usually are in the Dominican Republic. Even after tipping, service did not improve. Orders were constantly late, incorrect, or never arrived at all. Many times we ordered items that simply never showed up.
At the buffet and self-serve areas, basic items were always missing. There were no plates, no forks, no cups, and no mugs for coffee. This happened repeatedly and made every meal frustrating.
Our room also had problems. The air conditioning barely worked, the fridge did not cool properly, and housekeeping was unreliable. Our room had not been cleaned by 4 p.m., and we had to call to request service. Even then, it was not handled promptly.
The only positive things about this resort were the ice cream shop, which was nice, and the water park area, which the kids enjoyed. Unfortunately, those positives do not make up for the poor food quality and lack of service.
For a resort at this price point and with the Nickelodeon name, the experience was far below expectations. We would not return or recommend this hotel.

Overall we enjoyed our stay.
For perspective, you have to separate between adults and kids. For adults the hotel is ok. The food is good and the service good. We wished some activities, like driving little cars, would have been included - but ok. There is nothing really bad or excellent about the place.
However, for kids (especially 3.5 - 4 and older) the place is awesome. Meeting all their heroes, plenty of activities and the pool area is pure joy. That's the purpose of the hotel and they meet that expectation.

STAY AWAY – NOT WORTH THE PRICE
Our stay at Nickelodeon Resorts Punta Cana was extremely disappointing. We visited as a group of 23 people and spent over $20,000 for 5 days / 4 nights, expecting quality service and a family-friendly experience. Unfortunately, the resort did not come close to meeting those expectations.
Customer service was poor throughout our stay. Several staff members were unhelpful, and one lobby employee/manager named Hector was especially rude and dismissive when we asked about transportation to the theme park, making us feel unwelcome.
The food was low quality, repetitive, and far below what you would expect for a resort at this price point. Room service was unreliable—multiple calls went unanswered.
Despite being marketed as a family and kid-friendly resort, there were very few activities for children. There were no nighttime shows or entertainment, leaving families with little to do in the evenings. The theme park was the only real highlight, yet guests are required to leave by 5:00 PM, which was not clearly disclosed.
Additionally, parts of the resort are still under construction, adding to the feeling that we were misled about the experience being offered.
Due to how disappointing the stay was, we left one day early. For the amount paid, this resort is absolutely not worth it. I would not recommend this property to families or large groups.

I had a great experience staying in this resort. The room can be a little old, but it is very clean and no moldy smell. Most of the restaurants have good food. My favorite restaurant is 9 doors( the teppanyaki restaurant). The server Carlos from see& sea was very welcoming and friendly. The circus show was amazing. At the end, I want to say a big thanks to the entire entertainment team, they made my stay extra fun and enjoyable! Huge thanks to Michelle, Niurka, Tutti and Yuleisy. The resort has been around for a while, so there is some noticeable wear and tear. That being said, the rooms are beautiful and housekeeping does an absolutely wonderful job keeping to rooms clean and stocked. We just got home from spending a week there for a friends destination wedding, which was beautiful. The service there was absolutely wonderful. The bartenders Manuel, Ana Maria, and Emmanual always made us feel welcome (and made good mojitos!) Junior that helped us with our bags when we first arrived always had a smile for us whenever we saw him as well. Every server we encountered at the resteraunts was kind and helpful, although I don't remember all their names.
My only critique would be that the food is mostly mediocre, but I think that might have partially been because we ate at the buffett close to when they would shut down for the meal times. All the sit down restaurants were good, but 9 doors (the sushi restaurant) had some unique options that were really good.
We didn't spend much time at the pools since we were mostly there for the beach, but they were beautiful and kept amazingly clean. The resort is right on the beach, so its less than a five minute walk to be sitting in the sand.
Absolutely lovely experience! The service there would get 10 stars if I could give it!!!

I enjoyed my vacation at Majestic Elegance Punta Cana every single day. Everything felt like paradise. The animation team at the hotel was fantastic — we had activities several times a day, and for me this trip also became a dance vacation. I wasn’t just lying lazily on the beach, and that’s one of the reasons I would love to come back again.
Special thanks to the members of the Animation Team: Michell, Muñeca, Yuleisy, Mayin, Michael Brown, and Tutti Frutti. They are incredibly friendly and joyful people.
I also loved the hotel’s architecture, which has a charming fazenda-style feeling. I personally prefer this over huge buildings.
There was music everywhere, and the hotel staff were always friendly and helpful.
A special thanks to my butler Elli — she helped me so much during my stay.
The buffet was delicious, and you can also choose to dine in other restaurants.
The barkeepers are doing a great job as well, and you can feel the passion in everything they do.

Had a great stay with the family. Everywhere we went we were treated with so much genuine joy and excitement. Specially the entertainment team, they really made our vacation a success. Specially Luis, Oliver and Tuti fruity. They made us feel like family and made our days super enjoyable. The staff at the buffet helped us celebrate my dad's birthday, loved them too. Hotel is family friendly, and even di, it was not crowded and the pools are big enough to acomodate everyone.

I loved Tutti frutti have a lot of energy and the entertainment in general was fantastic! The shows were great, every night was different, thus making it suitable for every type of person. I was at Dreams for my 26th birthday and they made me feel at home. Our experience at the hotel was excellent from start to finish. The facilities are beautiful, clean and very well maintained, the food varied and delicious, and the perfect atmosphere to relax and have fun.
But without a doubt, the best of our entire stay was the entertainment department, especially Vero. His energy, charisma and professionalism made the difference. Always kind, attentive and with a contagious attitude, she managed to make every activity fun and special. It shows when someone loves what they do, and Vero shows it at every moment.
Thanks to her, our experience was even more memorable. We would definitely go back and recommend this hotel 100%. Thank you for making our stay so special!

Our group of 16 (ages 8-77) had an incredible time!! Our rooms (building 7) were fantastic and always cleaned well. Kids loved the waterpark and beach, and adults loved the preferred adult pool. Food is average - crepes and omelettes at breakfast were the best part of the buffet, and we all loved the French restaurant! Vast majority of the staff were fun and friendly, and our butler Starling was outstanding. We absolutely loved our stay!

I recently stayed at Dreams Onyx from December 12th to 19th, 2025 and overall, the resort is beautiful and lush. The landscaping is amazing, with tropical plants, art throughout the property, and a vibrant, authentic Caribbean atmosphere. The pool design encourages social interaction if you want it, and the swimmable beach is gorgeous.
Nightlife: Could be improved. There was a gap in entertainment between 7–9 PM, and while some of the 9 PM shows were very good, others were less engaging. There was very little dancing afterward, and there are no late-night venues. For a purely adult party atmosphere, someone might prefer resorts like Breathless.
Social Energy & Activities: Despite the nightlife gaps, the social energy was great. We had fun, enjoyed the music, and the daytime activities were excellent. People were happy, and it felt lively but not chaotic or spring-break style.
Food & Drinks: The food was really good, with a special highlight on the Friday buffet outside and the Barefoot Grill for lunch. Drinks were enjoyable, though not top-shelf.
Service & Cleanliness: Service is high-quality, facilities are well-maintained, and rooms are generally clean. Minor issues like hand marks on the glass in the shower were noticed but overall not a major problem.
Atmosphere & Authenticity: This resort stands out for feeling alive, authentic, and Caribbean-focused, rather than Americanized or concrete-heavy. Latin music, local flavors, and regional identity are woven throughout the experience.
Safety Concern: Unfortunately, I experienced a serious safety issue during my stay. On my second day, I believe my drink may have been spiked, resulting in memory loss, prolonged unconsciousness, and extreme concern for my family. This was extremely frightening and has made me question the resort’s safety practices. I sincerely hope management takes this seriously and implements measures to protect guests.
Summary: Dreams Onyx is a stunning, authentic, and social resort with beautiful grounds, excellent food, and strong daytime activities. Nightlife could be enhanced, and guests should always stay vigilant. Despite this, it’s a great choice for adults seeking a vibrant, tropical, and culturally immersive experience.

The service was exceptional every staff member was attentive, friendly, and genuinely committed to making sure guests felt welcome and cared for. Very well maintained and beautiful truly luxury resort. We had private swim up rooms and it was very convenient with a newborn. Beach was nice and clean with real palm trees for shades but wasn't able to swim much, it was too wavy. Incresible service and ridiculous variety for food. The sit down restaurants were nice however food flavours were average only. Drink mixes were good. Great experience would visit again. Albert was our butler and he made the experience tenfolds better. Thank you.

This is my first time at an all-inclusive resort and it exceeded my expectations. The food was fresh and delicious. Room was very clean with comfortable beds. The service especially was excellent as they were very accommodating and friendly. The entire resort is next to a beach and they provide enough lounge chairs to relax by the pools and the beach. It is also very stroller and handicap friendly. A lot of entertainment options, bars, and restaurants available.

I can confidently say this was the best resort I’ve ever stayed at. The staff were amazing, and the room was clean, spacious, and modern. The beach is absolutely breathtaking. I woke up every day to watch the sunrise. There are so many activities at the hotel that you’re never bored. As for the restaurants, the food was pretty good; I have no complaints. It was truly a great escape from the city.

I'm going to start with the layout of the resort and the views that were just breathtaking. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Bartender at the beach bar was fun and made great drinks. At the Lobby bar Mariela, Stephanie and Yafreisv were providing outstanding service and making our time during and after shows so much fun. Entertainment team Diana, baby face and all others were AMAZING! Shows were top notch every night. I can't say enough great things about Kids Explorer's club, all of the girls were super great with our kids. Cuteness, Moana , Queen , Candy were super nice and did lots of activities with our girls eighter by the pool beach or the club! Kids loved them and we're thankful for them to give us a little break during the day or during dinner time.

My wife and I, our kids and our grandchildren all loved this resort. It was kid friendly always something for them to do. The resort was super clean. Our butler, Moses Medina was absolutely spectacular. He was always there when we needed him very polite, very friendly and very, very good at his job. He absolutely made our vacation. Also Willy Wonka in the preferred section I’ve never seen a guy worked so hard in my life getting the kids sand toys always having us drink drinks food whatever we needed. He was there. He also made our trip what it was. The rooms were nice. The food was good. The weather was amazing. The only thing is the ocean was way too rough for small children swim, but the beach in the view was breathtaking. The Dominican people have to be the kindest people I have met looking for many more vacations in Punta Cana thank you all for making our trip the best ever

First of all, this is not a 5 star hotel.
I reserved a king junior suite with “partial ocean view” and when I got there I didn’t get a king bed nor a partial ocean view. Called front desk to report and got disregarded and the staff claimed it was registered as such.
So if offered, I don’t recommend paying for this upgrade.
My room didn’t have a mini fridge but a chiller, which meant I was stuck with lukewarm drinks at night. Bathtub plug was damaged and it constantly drained.
Went with 20 family members and most got mild food poisoning after each meal. Menu seems designed exclusively for American guests.
Room service is available 24/7 but the options are severely limited.
On the good side, the bar and staff are great overall (2 waitresses were surprisingly rude though). Hotel is very well maintained and clean. Bathrooms were pleasantly clean at all times.
Hotel has beach access with shaded sunbathing spots and security guards and lifesavers.

Great week at TRS.
The beach and pool were great, the weather fantastic in January - not too hot and the odd short rainstorm.
This is our third TRS hotel, having visited Mexico and Ibiza.
Outstanding service from our butler Jean, in building 51, which is a great location near the main pool and beach.
Nothing was too much trouble for Jean he looked after us from the moment we arrived - helping us book all our preferred restaurants, helping us figure out our departure time and even organising a lovely surprise for us.
Dolores was fantastic at the pool bar - she was friendly and kind and kept us in constant supply of drinks - she looked after us so well.
Favourite experience was Chic cabaret - excellent food and a wonderful show put on by very talented performers - it’s a must when you stay here.
Helios on the beach is a gorgeous location for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And Capricho is also good if you want to mix up locations for lunch. In general the food was lower quality than Mexico and Ibiza, we found. But there is so much choice there’s something for everyone.
The gym was very very well equipped and not too busy. Brilliant morning yoga/stretching and Pilates with live music and fresh coconut water afterwards - brilliant special touch.

We had a fantastic time! The grounds were very clean and well kept. Our butler Paola was amazing! She even offered to come pick me up when I was direction-turned. We always had everything we needed in our room. When we were at the beach, Enmanuel always kept us stocked on drinks. He was always happy to see us, which made us feel at home. At the bar, Steven made for great conversation and drinks. He even made me virgin smoothies by special request. We would definitely recommend this resort and look forward to staying again!!!

I had a wonderful experience at TRS Turquesa Hotel, and a big part of that was the incredible staff. Kendry at the lobby bar was incredibly sweet, attentive, and welcoming, he truly made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Jesús was also fantastic, always friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect. At the pool bar, Nelly was amazing as well, so warm, energetic, and always serving with a smile.
Their kindness, professionalism, and great attitude really elevated our stay and made it unforgettable. This level of service is what sets TRS Turquesa apart. I can’t wait to come back!

We stayed at TRS Turquesa with our family and overall had a pleasant experience, though there were a few notable issues.
I want to start by highlighting our butler, Eury. He was absolutely phenomenal. He was friendly, attentive, and always quick to help with any questions or concerns we had. He truly made a positive difference in our stay.
For the most part, the resort staff were friendly. Some stood out more than others, but that’s pretty typical anywhere you go. The pool area was clean and well maintained, and the beach was also kept in good shape. It was nice having staff walking around regularly offering drinks from the bars.
The food was hit or miss. The buffet experience was fairly mediocre. One evening we went right when the dinner buffet opened and most of the food was already lukewarm. Hot items were not hot and cold items were not cold, as if everything had been sitting out for a while. On the other hand, the à la carte restaurants that required reservations were much more enjoyable and noticeably better in quality.
The biggest downsides of our stay were related to the room. There was a significant amount of mould in and around the shower and bathroom area, which caused a strong, unpleasant smell that lingered throughout the room and never fully went away. Our bar fridge was also always warm. Maintenance said it had been fixed, but we did not notice any real improvement. Additionally, the room was advertised as having two queen beds, but they were actually doubles. The mattresses were very poor quality. They were extremely soft and sunken in the middle, and we did not get a good night’s sleep during our stay.
Overall, we did enjoy our time at the resort. However, for a property advertised as a 5-star resort, we expected more. We have had more comfortable and higher quality experiences elsewhere at a similar price point.

Excellent location. Excellent, friendly staff, especially Nilsson, our Building 56 concierge. Many quiet pools for those who want quiet. Beautiful beach, great for walking. Well-kept, beautiful grounds. Large selection of mostly excellent restaurants. Mexican La Adelita needs menu upgrade. Our favorite restaurant was Helios, by the beach. Gym was very adequate; could use refreshing. Our room was a little dated with heavy, sticky, dark wooden closet doors but comfortable bed. Overall a very good experience. Glad we chose TRS Turquesa.

Had the most incredible time at Breathless Punta Cana last week. The food was amazing, the drinks were strong and delicious, and the service was absolutely beyond!! Lots of laughs and fun at the abyss bar with José, and a few Spanish lessons too :) Nori at the freestyle pool was so kind and helpful, and always made sure we had a drink in our hand. We really enjoyed the Strip restaurant, nook cafe for morning iced coffees, and Silk City was a must for dinner. The resort felt safe and easy to navigate, our rooms were gorgeous, the housekeepers were wonderful, and the partying was unmatched. Thank you Breathless for a very special 7 days!!! We will be back!!

I’ve stayed at 2 other Breathless properties and this one looked like it was the first one built. Most areas look dated and the rooms are definitely dated. We stayed in the Xhale club. I’ve been traveling to DR for years and always felt the service to be lacking. However this resort had the friendliest and most consistent service that I’ve ever received in this country. From Yani who served us at the pool and made sure we wanted for nothing. She took care of us so well that we got worried when we didn’t see her for a spell. We prayed she had just went to lunch and didn’t get assigned to another section. Felipe at the bar underneath the main lobby was wonderful. He and his team were so friendly and made the best drinks. Benito worked in Spoons during the day and the Strip at night. He was very nice and took care of us. We had a butler/concierge named Onal. He was nice and easy to reach when we needed him. I use the word butler lightly but not against him but just on how the hotel defines this service. The pool activities were great. The dancers and entertainment staff worked hard to keep you entertained. There were guests of all ages and races so I don’t think anyone would feel left out or like an anomaly. You only have to be 18 to stay and check in here and it’s evident. While this hotel didn’t live up to my expectations, I would recommend it to someone in their 20s - 30s. Or someone who doesn’t care about esthetics and wants to have a good time in the pool during the day. Also the food in the buffet tended to be better than the ala carte restaurants that were open. Two were closed all together and the ones that were open rotated. One restaurant was only open 2x a week which was disappointing.

The service was truly exceptional — there were always plenty of staff around, and everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful.
The property is extremely clean and very well maintained, which really stood out throughout our stay. The landscaping alone is lush and beautiful, creating such a relaxing and tropical atmosphere. We loved that the resort, offers a great balance — adults-only areas for relaxation, while still being family-friendly with a lazy river and fun water slides.
The entertainment was enjoyable and added to the overall experience. We would highly recommend Breathless Punta Cana and would absolutely return again!

Stayed at the Dreams Cap Cana for business. This Resort used to be a Margarita Resort before converting over. The vibe is very relaxed and tropical. It is easy to navigate around resort. This is a kid friendly/family resort, but doesn’t seem to have amenities that I e seen at other resorts for kids. The live entertainment at the Palms bar was great! The rooms are spacious with a tropical vibe that is continued (2nd floor). The balcony is big with table and chairs. The room I was in had a perfect view that overlooked the resort with excellent view of sunrises and sunsets. There are several restaurants here. At dinner, they are first come first serve. The buffet was good, but is what you would find at other resorts. I also was able to take a mixology class here. Francisco was our mixologist & showed us how to have an old fashion & a tropical drink. Great experience! This place is accessible for anyone with Monility issues & they have a 24 hr onsite doctor.

We stayed for three days while attending a wedding in Cap Cana, and from the moment we arrived, it was clear this resort operates at an exceptional level.
George at the front desk was absolutely outstanding he was warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He set the tone for the entire stay, and the rest of the team followed suit. Every interaction felt thoughtful and sincere.
The resort itself is stunning. The pools are immaculate and beautifully designed, offering both relaxation and fun without ever feeling crowded. The grounds are pristine, and the attention to detail throughout the property is impressive.
The food exceeded expectations across the board—fresh, flavorful, and consistently excellent. Every meal felt intentional, not typical “resort food.” The service was equally impressive: polished, prompt, and always delivered with a smile.
This was our first time at Dreams Cap Cana, and it will absolutely not be our last. The experience was seamless, elevated, and memorable in every way.

🌴 Honest Stay Review – Cap Cana, Dominican Republic 🌴
Our stay at Dreams Cap Cana Resort & Spa was truly a mix of highs and lows — and overall we’d say it’s a beautiful place with excellent service, but there were some issues worth noting.
From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their hospitality. Every employee we interacted with was friendly, courteous, and genuinely seemed to care that we enjoyed our time. They handled requests promptly, always greeted us with a smile, and went out of their way to make our vacation comfortable. That level of service stood out and really enhanced the overall experience — it’s one of the resort’s strongest points.
The grounds and amenities are lovely: well-maintained landscapes, inviting pools, and plenty of dining and activity options. The concierge and butler service were especially helpful, anticipating needs and making sure details were addressed without us having to chase them down.
That said, our room experience wasn’t perfect. We encountered 1 to 2 per day cockroach in our room, which was upsetting and not what we expected at this level of resort. While this didn’t ruin our entire trip, it was definitely a disappointment and something the housekeeping/maintenance team should address more proactively. Unfortunately, reviews from other guests sometimes mention similar insect issues in rooms or bathrooms at Caribbean resorts — it’s not unheard of, but for a property like this it felt out of place.
We told the stay they said they would treat the room which we don't think they did. They caulked it up with a smile and said well this is a tropical climate.
In summary:
⭐ Service: Exceptional — the staff really makes the stay memorable.
⭐ Property & amenities: Beautiful and well laid-out.
⚠️ Room issues: Our encounter with a roaches and some insects was a notable downside.

We had the best time at Dreams Cap Cana. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcomed and cared for. Every person we met was kind, helpful, and genuinely happy to make our stay special. Our concierge Cesar truly stood out. He went above and beyond for our family and made everything so easy and enjoyable. We cannot say enough good things about him.
The resort itself is beautiful and incredibly clean. Everything felt fresh and well maintained, and our room was so comfortable. Even the pillows were amazing and made it so easy to relax at night after long days in the sun. It is also very baby friendly, which made traveling with little ones so much less stressful. They had everything we needed and were always willing to help with anything we asked.
The pools were gorgeous, the beach was peaceful, and the food was great. We never ran out of things to do and always felt taken care of. We truly had such a wonderful family vacation and would absolutely come back. Dreams Cap Cana exceeded our expectations in every way.

Amazing stay made unforgettable by Coca Cola!
We stayed at Dreams Cap Cana and had such a great time overall. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful — stunning pools, warm sunshine, and a gorgeous property that makes it easy to relax and unwind.
What truly made our experience 10 times more fun, though, was Coca Cola from the entertainment team. He was incredible. He brought so much energy and personality to the resort and had a real talent for getting people involved without being pushy. He started games like cornhole and other activities that got our group up from relaxing and actually having fun together — laughing, competing, and making memories. He completely changed the vibe of our days in the best way possible and is a HUGE asset to the resort.
The only downside of our stay was the food — it wasn’t the highlight for us — but honestly, we didn’t come for gourmet meals. We came for warm weather, beautiful pools, great energy, and a good time, and Dreams Cap Cana absolutely delivered on that. Another draw back would be there is no ocean access, or it is not possible to get in the ocean due to the seaweed.
If you’re looking for a stunning resort with amazing entertainment and staff who truly care about guests having fun, this is the place — and Coca Cola deserves all the recognition!

Amazing family vacation! The resort is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and there are so many great dining options. All of the restaurants were very nice, and most did not require reservations, which made everything easy and convenient. We loved having multiple breakfast places with no long waits. The Japanese restaurant Zen was a favorite, especially for the kids. The kids club was excellent and very safe, and the entertainment was outstanding,especially the Michael Jackson show! The water park was fun, and the beach was absolutely beautiful and very clean. The staff were kind and respectful, and there was so much to do for the whole family. Definitely worth the price and we would happily come back!

We had an amazing stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana. The resort was spotlessly clean, extremely well run, and the customer service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming, and you could truly feel the kindness and beautiful culture of the Dominican people everywhere you went.
A special thank you to the manager and staff at Toro, who were absolutely outstanding and went above and beyond. No matter where we were on the resort, the team always aimed to please and made us feel genuinely cared for.
What made our vacation truly special was the people ,their warmth and dedication elevated the entire experience. We had a wonderful time as a family with our dog Charlie and created lasting memories. We would happily return and highly recommend this resort for its cleanliness, service, and heartfelt hospitality.

The resort itself is very pretty and offers a lot of options when it comes to pools and activities. The beach is absolutely beautiful, and I will always recommend going down at sunrise — it was easily one of the best parts of our stay.
The food, unfortunately, was pretty meh. The best restaurants we were able to try were Zen and Los Gallos.
This is also a very family-friendly resort, so be prepared for misbehaving kids and parents who don’t always seem to care. That said, the adults-only Eden pool is the spot if you’re trying to avoid kids — we loved it. Drinks were great and definitely didn’t taste watered down.
Overall, the resort could really use some updating. Many signs were worn down, technology didn’t always work, and communication was lacking. We didn’t even know there were trams available to get around until day two, which would’ve been nice to know earlier. A lot of things felt like we had to figure them out on our own.
On the positive side, the rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly, and despite the issues, we still had a great time. With some updates and better communication, this resort could be much better.

This was my husband’s and my first trip to the D.R. and we had a wonderful time! The Hard Rock is a huge, beautiful resort with tons of friendly staff, multiple pools, and lots to do. After exploring the first few days we discovered Eden Pool which became our favorite place to hang during the day. The pool was beautiful and the vibe was laid back. Carmen was there each day and she was super friendly and attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed. Her service was excellent. Isabel cooked the food at Eden and it was consistently delicious. We made a special stop there on the day of departure just to eat her tacos one last time. Overall our time at Hard Rock was a great way to start the New Year!

Currently staying here and my first impression was dissapointed but overall it turned out good. I feel this hotel is a 4 star. It is very loud, the rooms are aged and bathrooms are mouldy, food was very inconsistent however most dinners were good, the drink quality is also very mixed but they have top shelf if requested. Food poisoning with a few people in our group. Lineups for everything and major lack of chairs on the beach (this is a big issue for us). Who wants to get up a 6am to fight for a beach chair?
The staff are very nice and the service was great!
You can’t swim most days at the beach but it’s beautiful and you can jump the waves with caution. Very nice pools! A lot of walking. You can rent golf carts but it can be hard to find parking and imo it’s dangerous to the walking paths for young kids and visitors.
I would return now that I know where to go and how to get around this very large hotel.
It really has something to appeal for everyone but not really suitable for the elderly.

Luis at Lobby Bar, absolutely amazing , friendly service every order. Mayreni was absolutely wonderful, attentive, friendly by the pool. Jinesse, was our excellent maid/ housekeeping for our room. Luis and his brother were wonderful during the night for room service. Every single aspect of this resort has been a phenomenal experience, the food delicious, the amenities wonderful, cleanliness superb, landscaping beautiful. Every single employee you walk past greets you with friendliness abd respect. Our whole company and our customers had nothing but amazing reviews, positive experience!

We stayed over the holidays in December 2025. The resort is immaculate, beautiful, & upscale. We felt like it was sort of like a little city or cruise on land if you will. What made it even better, was the staff. Manuel and Kayla (not sure of her full name) in the activities department were amazing. They got the guests involved with the many fun activities that are offered. We enjoyed the crafts, aqua fitness classes (water bikes - so cool), darts, and silent disco. Our son was surprised by + LOVED the impressive gym. He said it was just as nice if not nicer than his gym at home. And they have an outdoor pickleball court! Our daughter wasn't feeling well one of the days and did not participate in the daily craft. Kayla made her that day's craft so that she could have it to take home. So sweet! Manuel was hysterical and works hard. He kept us laughing and active. Ashton at the front desk and Patti, our room attendant were lovely. And Mayreni was the best. We also loved all of the musicians that entertained us all week. We miss Hyatt and Ziva (the stray kitties that made an appearance nightly). Free pet therapy! Our only critique is to play less Adele at the pool...LOL. We loved that it was an adults only resort, but we could go next door to the Ziva side if we wanted (which we did for some of the restaurants - I'm still dreaming about the Burratta Pizza at the Italian place). The staff takes such pride in their jobs and really strive to make the guest experience a memorable one. We will be back!

We just returned from an incredible week at the Hyatt Zilara, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. The quality of the food and the variety of restaurants were outstanding—far beyond any other hotel we’ve stayed at. The staff was exceptionally kind and welcoming, with an attention to detail that made us feel like part of the family.
We stayed in the Zilara section, which is adults-only, but the resort also offers the Ziva side for families. Every evening featured fantastic shows, along with surprise performances by talented artists in different areas of the resort.
Our room was spacious, spotless, and offered a breathtaking view of the beach and ocean. Housekeeping was impeccable, with daily cleaning, evening turndown service, and even midday visits to ensure we had everything we needed—water, towels, and more.
I highly recommend trying the Blind Butcher experience. This specialty restaurant, available at an additional cost, is absolutely worth it. The culinary experience was phenomenal, complemented by live performances every 15 minutes, including dancing and singing acts that made the evening unforgettable.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Pedro Thomas and his entire team, with special recognition to Jenny and Darling for their exceptional hospitality. A big thank you as well to our butler, Osiris, for his attentiveness and availability throughout the week, and to Anthony and Daniela from The Pier restaurant for their outstanding service.

Food is amazing, room was spotless clean, staff was wonderful to us. They have a very cute gesture of putting their right hand on their hearts everytime they pass by guests. I thought this was a genuine, beautiful gesture of gratitude.
This was the best experience I've had in a resort and I'm truly happy with my stay beginning to end.
Ps: I'm gluten allergic and they have good options such as croissants, ciabatta bread and muffins for breakfast.

I had an amazing stay at Hyatt Zilara and was truly impressed from start to finish. One of the best parts of staying at Zilara as an adult is being able to enjoy the amenities at both Zilara and Ziva, which gives you so many dining, pool, and activity options. The food exceeded my expectations across the board, especially for an all inclusive resort. Every meal felt thoughtful, elevated, and well executed.
The decor throughout the resort is next level and makes the entire property feel modern, stylish, and luxurious. Every space felt intentional and beautifully designed. The waterpark at Ziva is also fairly large and a huge plus, whether you are traveling with kids or just want to enjoy a fun afternoon. It adds so much value to the overall experience.
The staff were outstanding. They were incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Anytime we needed directions or assistance, someone was always happy to guide us in the right direction and often even walk us there. The room was very comfortable and relaxing, making it easy to unwind after full days of activities.
I traveled with my female cousin and it was the perfect trip for us, but I would absolutely recommend this resort for family vacations as well. There were so many classes and activities offered that we were never bored. There was honestly nothing negative I could say about this resort, which says a lot because I travel frequently and stay at many all inclusive resorts. I cannot wait to come back.

Luxury resort and everything was just perfect. Excellent service by friendly staff. The buffet food is good but the restaurants are the highlight, both the italian and asian restaurants had quality food. Navigator and the pool side grill were great for lunch and so was the pizza at Prontozs which was really fresh and well made. Room service menu is limited and was ok. The pool is huge and never felt crowded. Beach had some seaweed but overall had ample space to lounge although beach umbrellas are limited compared to pool side loungers which are plenty. The beach itself is gorgeous with turquoise calm waters. In addition the kids waterpark is big and has a number of slides suitable even for adults. A fun place for toddlers with a food truck for a quick bite. There are also numerous other things going on everyday including movies for kids, magic shows etc and there was a bonus lobster dinner on the lawns one night. Overall an excellent location and resort which has a lot of options.

Clean, beautiful, and super friendly staff. First and foremost, they take allergies very seriously. Pictured are gluten free waffles and gluten free pancakes. If you talk to the chef during breakfast, they’ll prep gluten free options and bring them to your table!
The resort itself was absolutely stunning and still looked very new even though they opened in 2019.
Best part? All the staff. Super friendly, down to earth, and made you feel like home. If you’re walking with food and drinks and they see your hands full, they’ll ask numerous times if they can help you. Finest hospitality I’ve ever witnessed.

The resort was amazing. There were always activities going on at night. This was our first time staying at a family-friendly all-inclusive resort; prior to this, we had always stayed at adults-only ones. The resort was beautiful, the staff members were very nice and professional, and so many of them were genuinely dedicated to serving the guests. The ladies at the coffee shop in the front lobby were some of the best, as were the staff at the club bar, the club pool bar, and the servers at the restaurants—they were all great people who helped guests tremendously.
The resort is gorgeous, and they keep it very clean. They take great care of your belongings; if you accidentally drop something, you will most likely find it easily without worrying about losing it.
I’d say the only downside was that, because of the many night activities, they sometimes had very late and loud events going on. We stayed in the Club ocean-view junior suite. One night during our stay, they had loud music on the beach right below our room that lasted until 10 p.m. Because we have a 1.5-year-old toddler, it was a very tough night for us, and we felt tired the next day as well.
The beach was fine, but we were hoping for clear ocean water to swim in. However, the water visibility was basically zero—the water was very murky, we couldn’t see anything in it, and there was lots of seaweed.

This resort exceeded my expectations. Very well maintained. Clean rooms though beds and pillows could be more comfortable. The hospitality was amazing from the restaurant/buffet staff to the front desk to the bar attendants. Everyone was just so nice and courtesy and really cared. The food was gourmet for an all inclusive resort. Truly have not had better food at an all inclusive and I’ve been to so many. There are four restaurants and one buffet. They also a restaurant with live entertainment and an experience but that was for pay. Pools were clean and nice. Beach was clean of seaweed but smelled like fish so we just played in the sand. Several activities throughout the day and nighttime entertainment was great. Overall would highly recommend.

Far exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. The staff is courteous and consistently goes above and beyond for their guests. The food was excellent, with an incredible variety—far more than I could enjoy in a week-long stay. The entertainment is nonstop, offering something to do at any time, yet there are still plenty of opportunities to relax by the pool or on the beach. A solid 10 out of 10—I’m already looking forward to bringing the whole family back.

Sanctuary is a nice resort and is inside the gated and secured Cap Cana village. We felt safe. My only other experience was the Hard Rock years ago and I didn't like it. Too much of a party atmosphere and we felt like it was unsafe to leave the compound. Sanctuary is a step up for sure - and so is the clientele. Food was hit and miss. The Wok restaurant was the best. Blue Marlin was decent. The Casa Bella for breakfast and lunch was fairly good. All others including the Italian restaurant and steakhouse weren't very good - although they all "try" to be upscale. Service was good everywhere. Drinks were good. The grounds were very nice and pretty. There are lots of room options and the villas looked pretty cool. The beach area is small but big enough. Plenty of pools and pool chairs although some folks put towels down early to reserve chairs yet never use them. Bring LOTS of $1's and $5's for tips. There were 6 of us and we easily spent $50-80 a day on tips. The atmosphere was basically quiet and relaxed. Didn't see anyone trying to party it up too much. For an all inclusive I think this one is a pretty good one in a good area. This is only our second all inclusive experience and since there were 6 of us on our family trip, it worked out well. We had three Premium Luxury Junior Suites with great ocean views. The two King rooms had jacuzzi tubs on the private balcony. The double room did not. Overall Sanctuary is a nice resort, but definitely not a Ritz, St Regis or Four Seasons which are more expensive and not all inclusive.

I am a travel influencer and I regularly review hotels I stay at on my YouTube channel. I create custom content of every trip I take. Over the past 8 years, I have visited Sanctuary Cap Cana 5 times, the last time being in 2019, right before COVID. I will never forget the beach parties with great music and fun, the restaurants and wonderful food, and in the evenings, the discos and diverse, high-quality performances, the circus, and the unforgettable foam parties. It was my absolute favorite resort in the entire Dominican Republic. Despite my age, I could not wait to have fun again and enjoy the restaurants, shows, and all the amazing entertainment. So, the big day arrived, and as always, the hotel was well-maintained and clean, with a great pool, but what I noticed was that nothing was happening at the resort. Silence. No white parties, no beach parties, no shows, no entertainment – everything I wanted to show my friends who come as far from Poland and Germany, and all was gone.
In a word, a huge shock, and what is more, the buffet was always the same every single day, for lunch and dinner, the same choices. There was a selection, but at some point, I was really fed up with eating the same thing day after day. And most importantly, Blue Marlin always had a great menu, but this time the same menu was served for both lunch and dinner without any changes. The Steak House was the best, without any changes. Italian Capriccio was nothing short of an insult to Italian food; the food was dry and oversalted, and the famous monkfish dish was like chewing gum, terrible. Honestly, I have never eaten anything so disgusting in my life.
One day we decided to go to a steakhouse, but it was closed, so we went to another well-known restaurant called Wok. To our disappointment, we found out that this Wok restaurant was not included in the all-inclusive package. As a result, we all went to the buffet, but to our surprise, the buffet was also closed. Hungry and shocked, we found a sushi bar, but it also was not included the all-inclusive package.
I don't know what happened, who took over, or who manages this wonderful resort, but despite the fact that the resort is beautiful and well-maintained, there's barely anything to do outside of visit the pool (incidentally where everyone sits all day, drinks beer, and pees in the pool, because it's impossible for anyone to drink so much beer without needing to go to the toilet). The beach is, in a word, unusable – brown water and a lot of sharp stones, making it impossible truly enjoy the beach.
What happened since 2018? Don’t blame it on COVID as I have seen many other hotels flourish and renovate during COVID, coming back better than ever before. I am still so shocked and disappointed. I had such wonderful memories of my experience in 2019 and that experience simply does not exist anymore. So, I am asking myself, will I return to this hotel? Right now, my answer is definitely not. This was my last time unless they restore and reinvest in quality entertainment, food, and beachfront. This hotel is no longer all-inclusive, which is a real shame. The rooms are, as always, nice, and clean, without any complaints, with magnificent views. The staff try to do everything to make you happy but how can you be happy when you are bored and hungry?
For the first time, this did not feel like a vacation. It felt like I was in a retirement home. I will leave the rest for you to figure out – what really happened to this once wonderful resort and its unforgettable atmosphere??

Exceptional Service, Beautiful Property, and Truly Caring People
Sanctuary Cap Cana is an exceptional property, and the people are what make it unforgettable. From start to finish, the care, professionalism, and attention to detail made this trip one for the memory books.
We upgraded to a premium Castle room, and José, the manager, made the process effortless and welcoming. The room was stunning — sweeping ocean views, a private plunge pool, a beautiful jacuzzi bath, and a spacious, immaculate layout. Amelio, our butler, took wonderful care of us throughout our stay with warmth and consistency.
Every day was elevated by the staff:
• Glory, selecting the best passion fruit each morning
• Chefs preparing custom omelets with care
• Thoughtful touches like flowers on the table by Aleksander and team
• Fun, attentive service at dinner from staff like Roberto
• And an unforgettable chef’s tasting dinner prepared by Chef Marc Serrano, beautifully presented and explained by Carlos, the sommelier — an absolute highlight
The food was outstanding, the service genuine, and the experience deeply relaxing. You can feel that the team takes pride in their work and truly cares about the people they serve.

We chose this luxury resort to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary after doing a lot of research.
Before coming, we saw a few reviews that made us a little uncertain, but we decided to experience it ourselves — and we’re glad we did!
This resort is adults-only, which makes it a perfect place for couples who just want peace, quiet, and relaxation.
The staff are very friendly, and the food is overall good.
If I could suggest one thing, it would be to have some small evening shows or live music — it would make the nights even more enjoyable.
We also loved spending time at the pool bar, sipping cocktails and just unwinding.
I especially recommend the Asian restaurant — the food and service were both excellent.
If you’d like to receive a bit of extra attention, leaving a small tip goes a long way.
We truly enjoyed our 4-night, 5-day stay here.
Also, I highly recommend joining a local tour. It costs around $50 per person and makes for a fun and fulfilling day.
Just keep in mind that the resort photos online look a bit more glamorous than reality — so try to come with an open mind.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this resort!

I handed my wife the reins on this trip with a little hesitation, but that disappeared quickly once we settled into the resort. The facilities are absolutely gorgeous, with a mature, classy feel that immediately puts you at ease.
From the start, several staff members made us feel like family. Most of our days began watching the sunrise on the beach, where we were greeted by someone who completely stole the show — Miss Keila from The Beach Shack. She is genuinely one of the sweetest people on the planet. She somehow knew what you needed before you did. No offense to the many hardworking gentlemen I’ll mention later, but Keila truly stole the show — and our hearts.
Y’all, this woman works incredibly hard to learn your day-to-day needs and make sure every single one is met. She built a real relationship with us, and by the time we left, she truly felt like family. During checkout, the front office staff told us that Keila had called them, worried we had left without saying a proper goodbye. Who does that anymore? Who goes that far unless it’s completely genuine and sincere? I’m getting misty-eyed just thinking about it. Keila, if you see this, please know how much you meant to us. Antonio and Abel also deserve special recognition. As activity coordinators, they were masters at engagement while still making every interaction feel personal and authentic.
And the bar staff absolutely delivered as well — Osvaldo, Estarlin, and both Cristians should be nowhere near the bottom of any list. If you were within earshot, they were already making a connection and ready to serve.
Eduardo took care of us every morning at breakfast, spotting us in the crowd and seating us before we even had a chance to check in.
We had a hiccup and maybe a little attitude upon arrival with our front desk rep over the rooms we had reserved but I’m going to be lenient and say something was mixed up in translation or communication.
I know I’m forgetting a few names, but a huge thank-you to the entire team for such a memorable experience. This trip was something special, and it was because of you.
