I wanted to love this hotel as it’s a Hyatt brand and thought I was brand loyal however, the food I found very unimpressive. If you arrived at dinner later in the evening (7 or 8pm) forget it- wait times horrendous. If you are preferred as we were, you get the added beachside grill for breakfast and lunch. The wait times were always so long here no matter what time of day. In my opinion resort beautiful, food below par, and service was friendly by some but most were pretty unhappy. Beach was beautiful, hotel was clean, nice water park, but I’m over the food very blah. I did have a nice lunch at the shared resort / Secrets, Mare but my kids couldn’t go as it’s 18+ so I went only one time. Also check in was lacking and wasn’t able to access my room until over an hour after check in time (they could care less) and really no explanation of anything the hotel has to offer. Glad I checked things out so good online. Also maid service never left wash clothes has to special request which I found irritating. Honestly, I want to give great reviews. It certainly was a nice and beautiful vacation, but the food that lacked and some of the staff weren’t that friendly. That did it for me. Definitely not return worthy imo.

​If you are looking for the perfect all-inclusive resort, this is it. The people and the food are absolutely amazing!! The resort is about 45 minutes away from the Punta Cana airport. We booked round-trip transportation for two people through Local company Expert DMC for $160. $20 deposit and $140 when we were picked up. Upon arriving at the resort, we were greeted with fresh lemonade. Check-in was incredibly fast with zero wait time. As soon as we got our room key, staff immediately took us and our luggage to our room. Our room was clean, beautifully cool, and the refrigerator was fully stocked with cold drinks ready to go. Since we arrived hungry, we headed straight to the buffet. We were greeted by friendly staff and a massive selection of food and drinks (everything from lemonade to beer). We tried several of the à la carte restaurants during our stay, and they were all spectacular! (Though we did hear from others that the Italian restaurant wasn't the greatest). The swim-up bar at the pool was also a highlight—the staff there were so friendly and ready to mix whatever we wanted. ​The Pool: Very clean and refreshing. ​The Beach: Beautiful, clean, and completely free of seaweed. ​Entertainment: The casino was great, and the late-night shows were highly entertaining. ​Value: We opted not to get the "Preferred" upgrade because we were meeting up with family and didn't want to spend the additional $500. Don't forget to visit the water park its walking distance. You can also visit the adult only restaurants and pools as long as your 18 and over. Honestly, we didn't feel like we missed out at all. ​Overall, this place is a must. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Secrets La Romana. The hotel itself is beautiful, very clean, with great amenities, a relaxing atmosphere, and very friendly service throughout the resort. The food was generally good, and the staff truly made the experience special. A special thank you to Diorka and Sauri from the bar, who were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive during our stay. Their positive attitude and excellent service really stood out and made our experience even more memorable. There are a few areas where the hotel could improve, particularly the breakfast, the quality of some cocktails, and the consistency of service between different areas of the resort. We had the impression that this inconsistency was partly due to a lack of coordination and guest-oriented leadership from some of the service managers. While many staff members were genuinely warm and helpful, this was not always reflected at the management level, which sometimes affected the overall experience. For example, the waitress service at the Spice Market often seemed uncoordinated. Despite these points, we still had a great stay overall and would recommend the hotel for a relaxing vacation.

Had the most wonderful family vacation staying at Dreams La Romana. Everything was absolutely beautiful and staff was super attentive and kind, some of the kindest people I’ve ever met actually. The pools are amazing, the beach is even better and there is the most perfect wholesome vibe. I would also like to make a special mention to two outstanding staff members who will seriously forever hold a special place in my heart… I unfortunately got very sick immediately off the plane the first day we arrived and Nairobi, the manager of the VIP club went out of her way to find me a room that I could lay down in while we waited for our room to be ready. She also continued to call the room to check on me everyday and didn’t stop there as she also made me a get well card that she made personally. I cannot describe how much this meant to me and really brought me to tears thinking about the compassion and kindness this stranger was showing me. Secondly, I would like to thank our amazing butler Byron. He also went out of his way to make sure that my family and myself had everything we could possibly need. He was also very caring and kind when I was sick and went out of his way to try to find me foods and drinks I could handle and even got kitchens to make me custom applesauce lol. He made sure that I still was having fun even though I had a rough start and truly was a staple to our vacation. I hope I get to come back to this lovely resort and see the even more amazing staff very soon. I hope you choose Dreams Resort and Spa, La Romana for your next DR vacation. I promise you won’t regret it.

We had a very enjoyable stay overall, especially travelling with a toddler. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout the resort, including at the pool, beach and housekeeping. Rooms were clean, well maintained and the facilities were very good. Experience for Toddlers The toddler pool was excellent and one of the most useful features for younger children. The waterpark was also a big highlight, with areas that families can enjoy together, although some slides have age or height restrictions. We felt there could be more organised activities specifically for toddlers. Beach Tip The beach is fantastic, especially early in the morning when it is calm, quiet and the views are beautiful. Definitely worth visiting then. Food The food was decent, but this is the main area that could be improved as in consistency. More variety and better consistency would make a big difference. When travelling with a toddler, we often chose pasta and pizza as reliable options. Overall A very good resort for families with toddlers, with excellent service, clean facilities and standout features like the beach and waterpark.
