My overall rating is primarily based on the extreme sales pressure tactics of the resort. We purchased a package for 4 of us with “resort credit” but when we went to use it they made us sit through a 2 1/2 hour presentation even though they said it would be 1 hour. Be prepared for 4-5 different closers trying to sell you a membership… the wait staff was outstanding! If I could give them a separate 5 star rating I would! Beautiful resort but not enough dining options for the number of people. They had a lot for the kids to do, but not enough night clubs and adult only bars. It was very hard to get dinner reservations at a reasonable hour. Every time you walk through the lobby, people are being escorted by a sales person… felt bait and switch. Room was great but toilet seat was broken, we never called to have it fixed so that was on us, but it was literally unattached and just sitting on the toilet for our stay. But with that said… this was my second time at this hard rock resort and I have stayed at 3 others. Beautiful pools, amazingly friendly servers and bartenders, beautiful and well maintained beach. I might stay again based on the beauty of the resort, but will never take the resort credit again.

We booked this resort because of the Hard Rock name and expected premium quality. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Our problems started before we even arrived. We paid about $125 for the hotel's private airport transfer but waited almost 2.5 hours at the airport. On departure, despite having a 4:00 p.m. flight, the only pickup time offered was 11:30 a.m., leaving us waiting at the airport for more than three hours. The resort feels dated and poorly maintained. The elevator in our building was broken the entire week despite being reported on the first day. The food was the biggest disappointment. The buffet quality was far below what I expected from a resort at this price. Zen Hibachi was good, but at Toro the octopus was slimy, undercooked, and extremely tough. My son became sick afterward. I cannot say what caused his illness, but it certainly raised concerns. When my son developed a fever at 1 a.m., the resort's medical service told us we first needed a $340 medical evaluation before they could provide even basic children's fever medicine. Instead, the front desk helped us order Tylenol from a nearby pharmacy for about $60. Customer service was generally unfriendly. The only employee who consistently smiled and made us feel welcome was the wonderful housekeeper. Guests, golf carts, and trolleys all share the same walkways, which made walking around with children feel unsafe. I also never observed anyone testing the pool water during our stay, something I regularly see at public pools where I live. The beach had heavy sargassum, so we ended up paying about $500 for a Saona Island excursion just to enjoy clear water. My biggest disappointment is that many people choose this resort because of the Hard Rock name and expect the quality associated with an international brand. That was not our experience. Before spending several thousand dollars here, I recommend reading both the positive and negative reviews carefully. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Beginners Guide to the Resort: Rooms were very nice with room service coming every day to clean uo the room. Spacious bathrooms, and a jacuzzi tub on the balcony of every room. 13 pools on the resort, several of which have a swim up bar. The beach was quiet and super clean. Just be prepared to have locals try to sell something to you. Events every night with a daily schedule of events happening on the resort, definitely no shortage of entertainment, with the night shows having a very large production quality! Food was a let down on the resort. Breakfast is the same at all the restaurants, just a buffet which was incredibly below average. Bistro med - okay, good for lunch Ciao - descent "Italian" food Ipanema - very hot inside here, descent food Stacked - actually good burgers Los gallos - the best spot for food, great Mexican cuisine with amazing churros Toro - a let down, cuts of steak were not great Zen - good hibachi food, but the experience was incredibly loud and the most annoying ive ever had. Worst sushi ive ever had. The resort is very large but easily walkable. There are golf carts constantly making routes for you to hop onto. **ALL INCLUSIVE DOES NOT MEAN EVERYTHING IS INCLUDED** Mini golf and bowling are an up charge $10 / person The spa is a huge up charge. If you dont have room credits, expect to pay upwards of $350 a person The water park is a fun spot and great for the kids, that is free! Service was very good almost overbearing at times. The staff won't let you do anything by yourself, they want to do EVERYTHING for you Overall, I would definitely come back. A gorgeous resort with no need to leave for an outdoor excursion.

This review is for Hard Rock Punta Cana from mid-June 2026 Shout out to the following people: Isla: Catherine, was very cordial, always made sure we had coffee, OJ, etc. Moon Lounge: Rut was the best, she always stopped by to made sure we were good on drinks, she was excellent Spa: Mariolis, had multiple massages with her and she is excellent Butlers: JC Castro and Jose Louis, they couldn’t be better, anything we asked for, we got and usually very quickly, they were super responsive, Toro: Juan was super kind and funny, constantly checked on our needs Sun Pool: Jaime was always point on Ipanema: Rafael remembered us from previous time and constantly asked if we need anything Overall, weather was great. Spent most of the time at Sun, Isla & Eden pools did not spend any time on beach. There was some sargassum, but they were working to clean it up. Needs Improvement: Isla Pool and others can be cleaned better, there were a lot of cups left in the pool at Isla Tram service: it’s terrible, in order to go from one side of the resort to the other, you need to catch two trams, which do NOT run very often. If you have mobility issues as I do, the tram schedule sucks!!!!! Whoever put that schedule together should be fired. Zen: went to Hibachi, they put A LOT, and I mean A LOT of garlic oil when cooking the food. Was not a fan of the food as there is too much oil. Rooms: you can only lower the temperature to 72, at least that was the coolest we were able to lower it to. That might be a little warn for some. Location: had an what was called at ocean font in Building 1, it was a building view, we had the view of the wedding reception building in front of us, not an ocean front Ipanema: the restaurant for dinner was very warm, food was good. Thank god for the breeze as the restaurant has little to no air conditioning. Restaurant was much cooler for breakfast. Sun Pool: there was no entertainment, very disappointing, they used to have some shows 2-3 days per week Good Toro: went twice, had regular menu and gold menu. They Charcoal steak from the gold menu was excellent Ciao: went there twice, both had very good experiences Service at Sun pool: overall was very good, very timely, Jaime was on point Shut down service: was very good, also our frig was constantly filled with drinks Breakfast: Isla and Ipanema were very good, Los Gallos and Ciaos also were good but a little more limited on food selections than Isla and Ipanema. Market: did not eat there Shows: went to the Beatles show, it was awesome

We had an amazing stay at the Hard Rock! As Legendary members, we were treated so well from start to finish. A huge shoutout to Scooby Doo, the pool concierge—he was absolutely hilarious, incredibly attentive, and always made us laugh. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and seeing him every day made the pool experience even more enjoyable. The entire pool staff was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always quick to help. The service at both the pool and the beach was outstanding, and the food was consistently delicious no matter where we ordered. Every day was relaxing because the staff worked so hard to make sure guests had everything they needed. We also have to give a special thank you to Anderson and Jose, our butlers. They were incredible throughout our stay, always checking in on us, helping with reservations and anything else we needed, and making sure everything was perfect. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made our vacation completely stress-free. Overall, we loved every part of our stay. Between the amazing staff, great food, beautiful beach, and excellent service, this was an unforgettable vacation. We can’t wait to come back!
