We had a fabulous stay at the Bahai Principe Hotel in La Romana. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning gardens that are extremely well kept and immaculate grounds that are spotless throughout. The resort is quite remote, but that’s part of its charm. It has a gorgeous private beach and a very large pool with a swim-up bar, which quickly became a favourite spot. The entertainment team work incredibly hard and do a great job keeping guests amused and involved throughout the day. There’s no shortage of activities on offer – kayaks, SUPs, tennis courts and bikes are all free to use. There’s also a golf course on site, along with a casino and a nightclub for those who enjoy a lively evening. One highlight was the morning yoga classes on the pier – such a perfect, peaceful spot for a gentle stretch before breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was excellent, with plenty of choice. The chef makes the best omelettes, and there’s something for everyone. Lunch and dinner were also very good, with options at the beach restaurant and à la carte restaurants in the evening, which do need to be pre-booked. The staff were exceptionally attentive, friendly and always willing to help – nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room was very spacious, though a little tired in places, but still comfortable. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return. A wonderful resort for relaxation, activities, and great service all in one place.

Really enjoyed my stayExceptional Service and Great Vibes – Ask for Ray Reyes Ramón! I recently returned from a stay at this hotel, and I can say it was a truly great experience overall. While there are some areas for improvement, the highlights of the trip made it well worth it. The Service (The Best Part): The absolute standout of this hotel is the staff’s service attitude. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I want to give a special shout-out to Ray Reyes Ramón (the "wines guy"). He is an incredibly dedicated professional and a fantastic staff member. His knowledge and attention to detail added such a high level of quality to our dining experiences. Thank you, Ray! Facilities & Common Areas: The public areas of the resort are beautiful and very well-maintained. Whether it was the pools, the lobby, or the outdoor spaces, the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing vacation. The Rooms: I will be honest: the rooms are outdated and definitely in need of a renovation. If you are looking for a modern, high-tech room, you might be disappointed. However, the impeccable service and the positive energy of the staff more than made up for the room conditions. Conclusion: If you value a warm, welcoming environment and top-tier service over a modern room, you will love it here. The staff truly is the heart of this resort. We had a wonderful time!

This hotel is very family friendly. The staff are amazing! They make the experience stand out from other resorts and we travel a lot. Dec 24-29 was our stay. Santa had gifts for all of the children. Luis at the lobby bar is my favorite. Adolofo in the main buffet and Italian restaurant went above and beyond to make my husband's birthday one to remember. The Mini Club for children is excellent. The staff are fun and warm. The children get to do fun activities and meet new people. The beach has a lot of jellyfish so be careful especially with young children. The food is top notch with so many varieties. The rooms are 7/10. They need to be updated can use some smart TVs but still clean and comfortable.

This was the second time we've stayed at the hotel. The first time was fabulous, the second ... well wasn't without faults. We booked (and paid a hefty Tui charge) for an ocean view room. Unless we had our own gardener to cut down the extensive greenery between us and the sea, as well as having a pair of strong binoculars ... well there'd be no chance of seeing the sea. The first room we had we found a plug socket dangerously hanging off the wall and the air con just didn't work. And so we spoke with reception ... and they couldn't have been nicer. They agreed the room choice was poor on their behalf .. they said the room will be now out of service until they've rectified the faults we raised. And the hotel then moved us to a fabulous room. Smack bang in front of the sea. The hotel took what could have been a real negative and turned around into a real positive. Another point to share, I had issue getting onto the hotel wifi. The reception staff and their IT manager tried for an hour and wouldn't give up till they'd cracked this and got me the access I needed. I would recommend this hotel .. without hesitation.

Beautiful location….lush tropical landscaping throughout resort. The beach is beautiful to walk on but would not swim in the water as it is cloudy due to river but thoroughly enjoyed the pool. The entertainment staff was amazing and so energetic. Loved the water aerobics everyday with Luis A and rest of team. The rooms could use some upgrading with bathroom doors and exterior doors but they were prompt to address concerns. Our last night was met with a big smile from a wonderful young man named Nathaniel…such a pleasure! Overall I would return if you are looking for a place not over crowded and place to relax, this is it!
