Nice hotel with good entertainment overall. The entertainment team had so much energy and really made the week fun. However, the music could have been better as I came to Jamaica hoping to experience more of the local culture.
The rooms were not very clean on arrival, as there was hair left in the shower, which wasn’t ideal. That said, all the staff were very lovely and welcoming. We came for a birthday trip and the birthday girl was very pleased with the experience. 🎉

Loved the pool side bars. Staff was very friendly, Camille was always so friendly and made us great drinks. Marvin was great to work with as well. Very friendly and always willing to help us when we had questions. Khrysanne, such a beautiful soul was also amazing and always responded to us in a timely matter when we had questions. Only improvement I would say is housekeeping could do better and replacing washcloths when they are low and beach towels are almost always out when you are looking for one. Otherwise thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Azul.

Jada was a great entertainment host! She kept everyone in my family entertained the entire week! From the youngest to the oldest, she made sure everyone was included, dancing, participating and safe at all times. Always has a smile on her face, and willing to help, even when the task is new to her. We came with almost 30 relatives and everyone asked for her almost every night! Thank you so much to jada for making us feel welcome and at home, we cannot wait to visit again.

The hotel did not live up to my expectations. The bartender, Damaine, had excellent customer service and was very accommodating and pleasant. Shemar, the bell hop was excellent and made the 1st good experience at the hotel. Jada and Tio from entertainment also tried and made a valiant effort in keeping us entertained on one of the days. A part from these persons I would definitely not recommend spending your money and coming to Azul .

We had a very enjoyable stay at Azul Beach Resort Negril and would definitely consider returning.
The highlight of the resort is the beach. It is one of the best beaches we’ve ever stayed at, with soft white sand, beautiful clear water, and plenty of space to relax. The beach alone makes this resort worth visiting.
The food overall was good, with the Caribbean restaurant being a standout and one of our favorite dining experiences during the trip. The flavors, quality, and atmosphere were excellent. However, we found the Asian and Italian restaurants to be below average compared to the other dining options at the resort and felt they could use some improvement.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay, helping create a relaxing and enjoyable vacation experience.
Overall, between the incredible beach, good service, and enjoyable atmosphere, we had a great trip and would happily stay at Azul Beach Resort Negril again.

Amazing hotel. Still see some damage that occurred from storm Melissa. Everyone was so friendly, polite and helpful. The 2 a la Cart restaurants that we visited were really good. The choice of food was exceptionally. One was Portafina, an Italian restaurant and Eldorado was a steak restaurant. The servers were friendly, polite and always checking to make sure we were okay. The other restaurants had a good selection of food so there was always something to eat. Again, the servers were polite, helpful, friendly and always made sure you had coffees ☕️ and water.
The location was an hour away minimum from most places to visit which was a great shame as people didn't want to do the excursions as it meant being in reception for 6 am and getting back between 7.30 - 8.30 pm.
The pool was amazing and a pleasant way to cool down.
Well worth the visit.

My wife and I stayed in a Signature Level bungalow for our honeymoon and had an amazing experience. The service throughout the resort was outstanding, and the Signature Level pool, beach, and bar were absolutely worth it.
The live entertainment was 🔥🔥 shoutout POP.
The food honestly exceeded our expectations. Every meal was great, but our favorites were Portofino and Bhogali. The jerk chicken was the best I’ve ever had, and somehow every chicken dish we tried was incredibly juicy and flavorful. One of the chefs even surprised us with fresh jerk chicken wraps one afternoon, and they ended up being one of our favorite things we ate all week.
We did have one issue with our air conditioning one night, but the staff responded quickly and got it resolved. After that, we had no further problems.
Overall, we were blown away by the hospitality, food, and overall experience. We had an incredible honeymoon and would definitely come back.

Room number 3510 where we stayed had so many cockroaches. From the bathroom to the refrigerator had roaches. Some even were in my friend hand bag.

I don’t understand why you are not addressing the the cockroach infestation room that caused so much uneasiness. We are paying customers and we expect to get our money worth which did not happen in this case. I don’t think I will recommend this place my review was strictly for the restaurant.
With regards to the dining experience, it was great the food was good. Our server Ramona was superb. This lady paid attention to details. In all a great worker. Very thoughtful.

Very hospitable from the first point of contact with the hostess right down to Chef Brown’s entertaining show. The Chef took the time to introduce himself and make quick connections with the guests around the table. We experienced an amazing fire show towards the end of our dining. The adults and children within the group were thoroughly impressed and engaged. I would recommend this experience to any food lover with a sense of adventure.

This was a birthday getaway with my husband and I. We had an amazing time. The atmosphere was played back but the vibes was good!! I can't say enough about the food. The was spectacular!! For me that was the best part along with the pool bar. The bartenders were very attentive and kept us "happy". Our room was comfortable with breath taking views. We were able to see the sunset and sunrise every morning.

The experience was average. Nice pool and Jacuzzi available, with a swim-up bar. The mini bar was excellent. Otherwise, everything else could have been better. The food lacked variety and was average. The service could have been better, or perhaps I received substandard service because I am a Jamaican. The room I received was outdated, and the property lacked proper upkeep, especially the garden. Would I go back or recommend this property? NO

This was our first time back to Jamaica in 32 years. This resort was wonderful. The staff go above and beyond being friendly it made the vacation so relaxing. The different food selections from the different restaurants was fantastic with three of the restaurants being very fancy and big portions of food. We will definitely be back when the opportunity arises.

Just returned from a 10 night stay at this fantastic hotel. Only 1 very slight negative is the rooms are a bit dated but always clean and tidy. After that everything is just quite superb. Pools, beach, staff, bars, drinks and especially the food. 8 Rivers restaurant gave a real fine dining feel and superb menu with the food being served just top class. Bayside, Veranda and patio also brilliant. We stayed in Couples Negril last year and we think this just edged it. Outstanding, gutted to be home. Thanks everyone at CTI.

This beautiful resort feels like a total immersion in a botanical garden, surrounded by lush palms and vibrant birdlife. The bungalow-style rooms add a unique, peaceful touch to the experience. It is worth noting that this isn't a "party" destination; the atmosphere is quiet and never feels crowded. Evening entertainment is low-key and charming, featuring "Piano Paul" at the martini bar or the occasional poolside band.
While the food was generally okay, I would have loved to see a wider variety of tropical fruits and traditional Jamaican dishes. The highlights were definitely the Chef’s Showcase and the a la carte dinner; the quality during those evenings was where the resort truly shined.
Although the property isn’t beachfront, the walk to the sand takes only a couple of minutes, and there is always a guard available to help you cross the road safely. The beach area is well-equipped with a bar, grill, and very clean restrooms. There are plenty of chairs available, though you'll want to head down early if you have your heart set on a cabana (usually a few becomes available early afternoon).Staying for the sunset is a must! Available on the beach are also free watersports.
The true heart of this resort is the people. The staff and locals are incredibly happy and inspiring, and they are the primary reason I would return. A special mention goes to the friendly resident cats and goats that add so much character to the grounds.

My wife and I absolutely love Sunset at the Palms and have stayed at the resort several times over the years. The beautiful setting, friendly staff, and relaxing atmosphere are the reasons we keep coming back.
We were booked for another one-week stay beginning January 9, but unfortunately, about two weeks before our trip my wife became very ill with the flu. Her doctor prescribed two inhalers, and then, just two days before our departure, she developed a lump on the side of her neck the size of a golf ball. After a visit to the hospital, she was given medication that warned of severe diarrhea as a possible side effect, potentially lasting up to two weeks. She simply was not well enough to travel.
I still made the trip because she did not want us to lose everything we had paid for. When I arrived, I spoke with Danna Grant, one of the managers, and she was very kind and understanding. She suggested that Air Canada Vacations might be able to help and that I could possibly be charged as a single traveller. I appreciated her concern and willingness to assist.
After returning home, I contacted Air Canada Vacations and provided medical information, hoping that at least my wife's unused resort portion could be refunded. Unfortunately, that did not happen.
While I understand that travel companies have policies, I also wish Sunset at the Palms had been able to provide some assistance or a refund directly for the unused resort stay. As loyal returning guests, it was disappointing to lose that money because of a genuine medical emergency that was completely beyond our control.
This experience has not changed how we feel about the resort itself. We still think Sunset at the Palms is one of the nicest places to stay in Jamaica, and the staff have always treated us warmly. We simply wish there had been a little more flexibility and compassion for long-time guests facing an unexpected medical situation.

This place is heavenly. This tropical resort "feels" like Jamaica. The beach is clean, and the water is clear and warm. The thatched umbrellas are an ideal way to soak up the beach, sand and the salt water, while listening to the waves. The food is abundantly delicious. But the best part is the staff! We have just returned from a first visit to this hidden gem. We went with friends who had been before and we were excited to experience it ourselves.Its a little bit of a jaunt from the airport about 1 1/2 hours. I highly recommend booking private transfer to get you there quicker then the bus if provided with your booking. I also highly recommend using Club Mobay… it was included with this resort booking, one of the unique bonuses of this resort. The staff here are beyond amazing, all so friendly and willing to help out. The food is fresh and delicious. There is always something for anyone, that being said it can feel a little repetitive, but that isn’t and shouldn’t be a deal breaker. The Lotus leaf dinner was fabulous.The treehouse like accommodations are very comfortable and have everything you need. Tip if you want to open the slat covers on windows just pull the pin. The Beach which yes you need to cross the road for is worth every step. They have staff there always ensuring you get across safely. There are plenty of beach chairs as well as a great bar and restaurant. The do offer chair side service. If you need anything don’t be afraid to ask they are open to doing anything they can to make your trip memorable.This is a very quiet small resort. , there is no entertainment staff so if you want quiet and relaxing this is perfect.

We stayed at Sunset at the Palms for 3 nights as a couple.
Overall, our stay was okay, with some highlights and some disappointments.
One important thing to note (which I wish I had paid more attention to in reviews): the beach is across a busy road. The resort does have staff and a system to help guests cross, but it still wasn’t the most relaxing or seamless experience and took away from the “easy beach access” feeling.
The property itself is beautiful, very lush and tropical, and once you’re on the beach, the water and views are absolutely gorgeous.
The rooms were fine, nothing special. Housekeeping did a very good job and kept the room clean. However, the shampoo and conditioner were clearly diluted with water, which felt disappointing for a resort at this level.
Service was mixed. Some staff were kind, but not everyone was friendly. One uncomfortable moment stood out: when we arrived and went to lunch, I explained that I have food allergies and asked what options were available. The server didn’t make eye contact, didn’t respond verbally, and quietly walked away. Later I realized she went to the kitchen to check, which I appreciated — but the lack of communication felt awkward and unwelcoming in the moment.
The food was good but not great — enjoyable, but not particularly memorable. We were also surprised by how limited the fresh fruit options were.
In summary, the resort has a beautiful setting and stunning beach, but the beach access, inconsistent service, and small details kept the experience from being truly relaxing or special. Our stay was fine, but not one we’d be eager to repeat.

Absolutely fantastic resort. The service was outstanding from the moment we arrived, and every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The food was great across the board, and there was more than enough variety to keep things interesting throughout the stay.
The amenities were excellent. Between the 5 pools, 5 bars, and 5 restaurants, there was always something to do or somewhere new to try. The surfing wave pool was an unexpected highlight and ended up being one of my favorite parts of the resort.
The nightclub was nothing spectacular, but it was still fun and kept me entertained in the evenings. The real stars of the show were the beaches. The white sand and crystal-clear water looked like something out of a postcard. Waking up to that view every morning from the hotel room was pretty incredible.
I would happily stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an all-inclusive resort in Jamaica.

I enjoyed my vacation with my family of 11 for 5 days 4 nights. 5 adults and 6 children. The food was good, we enjoyed the jerk Hut and the sundeck pizza was fresh and amazing. Icecream and cake everyday 🤤.
I do have some suggestions, the culture show should be at the family pool since their is a stage over there and more adults would pay attention to it while the kids play in the pool. I do understand it may be nosy but it would help the children learn about the Jamaican culture.
We talked to the activity team about foam parties and other themes and fun activities as a group. The white and neon party should be for the whole resort not just the club.
I want to say Thank you to the staff because they were awesome and deserve recognition. Nicole at the front desk, OBrain was a sweetheart for breakfast, Ms.Lorraine was the best she waited on us the whole trip until her day off. Kevin in the Piano bar, Andre by the snackbar and pool. Their hardwork did not go unnoticed. We will be coming back, I just hope fun activities will be more on the weekend then during the week. Michael Jackson was a great show wish it was Friday or Saturday. The magic show could been on a Wednesday.

Overall my party and I had a good time.. The day after checkin was a little disappointing but the rest of the staff made up for it afterwards. Let me start by saying Trudy, Subrina, and Lawrence (who work for the palace members section of the resort) was extraordinary. They are great at their job and I wouldn't expect anything less. But Subrina and Lawrence's supervisor was very nasty and disrespectful for no reason. I promised Trudy 90 minutes of my time to take a tour of the members section of the resort. Subrina and Lawrence did a great job with explaining everything and the financial benefit. After one hour and forty five minutes, i decided not to move forward. They continue to try and persuade me. Because they were nice I stayed and entertained them. Two hours went by, my partner decided to leave because he wanted to start enjoying his vacation. They begged me to bring him back and I told them he wasn't coming back. The supervisor came over very nasty and preceded to tell me that my partner needed to comeback and sign something. He was so rude, I got up and went to find my party, so I could start enjoying my vacation. I was so disappointed with how he treated me. Again, to be clear Trudy, Subrina, and Lawrence were great.
I didn't have any other issues after that experience. I can't remember everyones name that were extraordinary to us but I will try.. Kamena (Pier 8), Tameka (server on the beach), Tanika (server at Jerk hut), Chef Eli (Momo), Clayton, Shane, Miguel, Rashaun, and Andre (bartender/servers. These individuals made our trip the best. The kindness was something that you can't fake... I appreciate all that the majority of the staff did for my family and I. I will never forget this! Thanks Moon Palace!

Stayed at a beautiful Moon Place hotel in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and overall had a really great experience. The rooms were amazing — very clean, modern, and comfortable. Honestly, the entire hotel was spotless and very well maintained. The restaurants had really good food with plenty of options, and the views were absolutely breathtaking.
As for the staff, it was a mixed experience. Like everywhere, there were some employees who were incredibly kind, welcoming, and truly made the stay special. Unfortunately, there were also a few who did not seem fit for customer service. Despite that, the beauty of the resort, the cleanliness, the food, and the atmosphere definitely made the trip worth it.

My wife and I went to Couples Swept Away for our honeymoon and it was an unforgettable experience. The beach is beautiful and world-class. The sports complex is very big and offers a variety of activities if you want a break from sitting by the pool/beach. The catamaran tour was a lot of fun and a great addition to the all-inclusive package. The food and drinks were all great and we never got tired of the choices offered. The desserts were especially tasty! The rooms are comfortable and spacious. All of the staff members we interacted with were super helpful and friendly. Special thank you to Dwight at the beach bar, Chrissanta at Feathers, Kayla on the entertainment team, and Anthony the groundskeeper for helping make our trip truly special!

The location is beautiful, the resort is well kept and the vast majority of the staff are friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the Great House, our room was a good size and comfortable with good aircon,plentiful hot water and a great view. We could not fault the maid service. However our room had not been refurbished and the decor was quite shabby and the placement of electrical sockets quite random.
The beach is fantastic but the provision of sunshades is lacking and the towel game is played seriously. The beach is public and vendors are continuously shouting their wares from 8 in the morning to 5 at night.
The pools are very lacklustre and small for the size of the resort with little shade.
The food and service in Feathers, Lemongrass and Patois is very good. The food in the buffet is generally very good but there is a far smaller range of dishes on offer than we have found at other 5 star resorts, the choice of fruits and cold meats is particularly poor. It seems as if the servers on the carvery station have been instructed to ration guests, see the picture where the 3 small cubes of meat at the top of the plate was supposed to be a portion of jerked pork. Food and service at the Cabana grill is quite poor, we received raw chicken on one occasion and on another left after waiting over 40 minutes for a burger.
On the whole we had a good holiday but the resort doesn't compare to other Caribbean 5 stars we have been to for food quality and comfort. There are far more luxurious resorts for the same price.

This was our first time at an all inclusive resort. Our last trip was a Viking river cruise and this didn't quite measure up their level of excellence. Rooms were beach bungalow with good beds. The beach was amazing. Food was good but not excellent. We found the buffet to actually be better than the premier restaurants that you needed to make a reservation for. The coffee bar was outstanding. The biggest disappointment was that the drinks tasted watered down and the wine was bottom shelf. You couldn't get a decent martini at any of the bars. No drink upgrade program was available. I realize I'm comparing this to Viking which was nearly twice the price but they could have done better. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

My wife and I went for our honeymoon. Place is nice, rooms aren’t big but they look elegant. Only things to consider are for breakfast there’s typically 2 restaurants open, one which is a buffet and an actual sit down and order food restaurant. The buffet pretty much has the same thing for breakfast which is eggs, bacon, sausage, bread, omelets, pancakes, etc. the restaurant is basically the same but it’s more customized. We are very picky people and maybe this was just specific for us but it would’ve been nice to have more variety. The other thing I’d say to consider is the palms is where events are held every evening, we go to bed early and we were far from the palms so this wasn’t an issue for us. However, if you stay near the palms there’s live music which can be heard pretty clear from the surrounding buildings (most of them are done by 10 PM, so if that’s early for you then this shouldn’t be an issue at all! However, we are old souls!)
The staff is nice. I was super IMPRESSED by Orlando who works at the palms. Out of everyone in the resort I never felt more heard or someone who was attentive to anything we needed. He always had a smile in his face, always went above and beyond for anything we needed.

This was the most beautiful trip we have ever taken. The resort is absolutely amazing and the location is perfect: direct access to the sea, the stunning white beach of Negril, excellent beach facilities, beautiful rooms, great food, and fantastic entertainment.
At first, the price may seem expensive, but it is absolutely worth it because the resort offers an incredible all-inclusive experience. Food, international alcohol and drinks, and especially entertainment and sports activities are all included, making the overall value exceptional.
We also want to give a very special mention to Andrea Bruce at the reception desk. She helped us enormously during our stay. Since the resort is mainly frequented by English-speaking guests from the United States, Canada, and the UK, the local Jamaican staff naturally speak English very quickly and fluently. Even though we speak English regularly, as non-native speakers we sometimes had some difficulties. Andrea was incredibly kind, patient, welcoming, and always available to help us. We are truly grateful to her for making our stay even more enjoyable.

This is the best resort my wife and I have been to. Just returned from our second vacation there, and it was absolutely flawless as we expected. We love this place. We love the people. We LOVE Jamaica. Can’t wait to go back.
The sunset cruise is an absolute must. (Included). Make sure to drink the punch 😉 The snorkelling is amazing (twice a day, included). The morning trip has calmer waters. Kayaks, water bikes etc are all included. The snorkelling guys are amazing.
We go to Jamaica for the food. The food at this resort is top notch in our opinion. Breakfast the second time around was much better than our first visit. Huge improvement. Fresh patties at lunch were daily for me 🤤 jerk hotdogs, jerk chicken. Buffet, restaurants were great. We ate at the Asian fusion restaurant several times.
The beach. Best beach we’ve been to. It’s waist deep, yet there’s all sorts of fish around you, as you float aimlessly on the awesome provided floating mat that comes with every chair on the resort. We saw a (huge) stingray minding his own business around us all, in shallow water. He’s a regular apparently.
Couples is a great resort if you want a quiet and romantic getaway. It’s quiet, smaller, private, clean and safe. I’m sure we’ll be regulars.

We had a wonderful 3 nights at Couples Negril. While I agree with some of the recent reviews that it maybe doesn’t feel like a 5 star resort, the room was spacious and clean (and I’m picky!), the food was fresh and good (I’m gluten free and was thrilled by how many options I had), the staff was amazing (especially the dining staff), and the beach was out of this world. The veggie bar had fresh coconuts and delicious fruit too!
It’s not a huge resort, but I think that’s part of its charm. It feels like a little community. I also appreciate that unlike other AI resorts I’ve been to, they don’t blast music or have crazy partying going on all day. It’s very benign in that sense and I appreciate the quiet and calm. We also loved the resort cats!
We really loved our beach front room. We were literally steps away from the beach, which made trips to the beach so easy. And had a view of the beach which we really enjoyed in the morning and at sunset.
The beach does get solicitors, but many of them are quite charming, including some great musicians who play live music and are so nice and funny!
We’d happily come back, and look forward to hopefully visiting Couples other locations in Jamaica. We met so many guests here who have come back to Couples time and time again through the years, which says a lot!
Don’t let any negative reviews scare you away. We have nothing but positive things to say, and again, I can be picky :).

Overall, we loved our time at Couples Negril! It was our first time to Jamaica. The resort is beautiful and the beach and view was breathtaking. Very well kept, maybe too much in the swimming area as we hoped to see more aquatic life but we did see star fish and the daily stingrays would come through. We really enjoyed our basking on the beach and loved that they gave you a flag for drink service. The gentlemen handling beach service was fantastic (wish I remembered his name). Every employee was very happy, accommodating, friendly and gave Overall fantastic service. The piano bar bartender(again cant remember name!) Was amazing. The resort photographers were super personable and high energy.
My husband has a cpap machine and wasnt able to bring distilled water but the staff found some for him and delivered it directly to our room, that is above and beyond service!
We will definitely be back, thanks for a great first trip to Negril!

As a travel agent who has traveled all over the world and stayed in some of the very best hotels, I can honestly say this is the best hotel I have ever experienced. From the moment we arrived in Jamaica, everything has been absolutely exceptional.
The staff are truly outstanding — warm, welcoming, and they simply cannot do enough for you. The level of service is beyond anything I’ve experienced, and that’s saying something given how many luxury properties I’ve visited over the years.
The food is incredible, with so much choice and consistently high quality at every meal. The premium all-inclusive offering really sets this hotel apart — it includes so many thoughtful extras that make the whole experience feel elevated and genuinely one of a kind.
Our room is spotless, beautifully maintained, and housekeeping are absolutely brilliant. Every detail is taken care of.
I genuinely cannot fault this hotel in any way. It has exceeded every expectation and set a new benchmark for me. I will be recommending it to all of my clients without hesitation — a truly unforgettable stay.

My husband and I visited along with 2 other couples to the Couple Negril March 2026, and had a good time. We did some fun things with the resort like a glass bottom boat ride, a Hobie boat ride, and we also did the booze cruise on the catamaran. If you go make sure to eat at the Grille in the evening. The chef is spot on with his flavors, personality with his guests, and knowledge for helping me out with my Celiac. I wish I could remember the Chefs name but he worked on March 26, 2026, so hopefully he gets a raise. 😉 If you eat in the main dining room the food is just ok, plus the first night the service in the main dining room was awful we waited forever for food and service. Took 3 hours to eat when we were all starving because it was the traveling day.
I also want to make it clear to the owner that upkeep on your investment should be seriously considered! Along with more water stations for people to get their own water anytime day or evening.
Back to who was appreciated. Sean, who helped us to our room when we arrived, very friendly and helpful. We also had great care from England who made sure all our needs were met with water activities. Lastly I want to recognize a beautiful spirited young woman who made my time at Couples the most memorable, and her name is Roxann. I'm hoping she has now made it past her 3 month probationary start to her job there. She is bright and cheering and very eager to learn and work hard while being so thankful for all she has. Thanks Roxann for making vacation perfect!

We are at Sandals Ochi celebrating our 20th anniversary. We have not had the resort experience in the 4 days that we’ve been here, until we ate at Valentino’s Italian restaurant. We were very lucky to have Ackeem as our server. Wow did this guy deliver the resort quality experience that we have come to expect at other resorts! He made our anniversary special and memorable! He should be teaching the other staff at Sandals Ochi how customer service and satisfaction is done! Sandals Ochi is lucky to have this man on your team! We had an amazing time at Sandals Ochi! We were celebrating my bride to be's 50th Birthday, then got married and spent the rest of our stay honeymooning. They did a great job making each event special for us. They put us in the highest up ocean view with pool and butler villa so we had amazing views from the hillside of the entire area from both our semi-private pool and villa. This was our first time using the Butler service and with everything we were celebrating having them assist with all kinds of things was incredibly beneficial. Jason and Richard made everything special for us. Food was outstanding. The grounds are gorgeous. Service is top notch. The wedding services department was amazing. This location is awesome to me for what as I describe as a mountain beach with lush vegetation right up to the shoreline. Be mindful this is not your typical white sand super clear water experience but we wanted the best of both world's mountain and sea for our celebrations.

Had a great vacation, we booked the honeymoon villas. Everything is great except we never received part of the package. We waited over an hour for our scheduled breakfast in bed, when i called room service they had overlooked our order. They offered to make it still but by that time we were very hungry and it was faster to just go hit yhe buffet.

Ackeem was amazing at the Valentino’s, great service and the food is fantastic.
I would like to add that Alicia at the main pool bar on the hill side is fantastic. She makes the best cocktails and was always looking out for us to make sure we had a drink in our hands. Amazing service.
Finally, Khaeson and Natalee were our butlers for the 12 days we were here. They were punctual and attentive throughout and nothing was a chore. They made our holiday experience much more enjoyable than we could have asked for. I can’t see how anyone could get better service than this. Overall amazing holiday for our 40th birthdays and we will definitely be returning to sandals Jamaica.

We had a great time at Sandals Ochi on our couples trip! Unfortunately, it rained for most of the week, so we weren’t able to enjoy the water sports we had planned.
Pros:
The resort grounds were absolutely beautiful. I loved all the plants and flowers, and it was clear how hard the staff worked to keep everything clean after the storms.
The rooms were nice and very clean, and room service did a great job tidying up every day.
Kelly’s, Valentino’s, and Le Gourmand all had great food.
The entertainment was amazing. The circus and drumming performances were highlights, and Lady Cher was an incredible singer at the Rabbit Hole. We enjoyed listening to her three different times during our stay.
Cons:
For the most part, the staff were very kind and welcoming. However, we did have a few interactions with staff members who seemed short or dismissive. As a young couple, we sometimes felt we weren’t taken seriously. While some comments may have been intended as playful or teasing, we frequently heard remarks about how we look like teenagers, which became uncomfortable over time.
We are also hard of hearing, and some staff appeared annoyed when we asked for things to be repeated. Their voices were very soft, which made it even more difficult. One waiter at Valentino’s snapped at us and rolled their eyes several times, which was disappointing.
Additionally, we chose not to drink alcohol on this trip. While we understand that this is uncommon at an all-inclusive resort, we felt judged at times and even noticed laughter when we declined alcohol. It would be nice if the resort offered more mocktail options or encouraged staff to be more accommodating and understanding of guests who choose to be sober.
The resort is about a 90-minute drive from the airport, which can feel especially long after traveling by plane, so it’s something to keep in mind.
Lastly, the resort is very large and may not be ideal for guests with physical disabilities. Getting around often requires shuttles, which I personally didn’t love.
Overall, it was a really fun vacation. I just wanted to share some honest feedback and a few areas that could be improved.

Simply gorgeous, we had a penthouse with the ocean view. Lots of stairs. Food was great. Drinks great. The staff was very nice. Only thing that was bothering. The palazzo….. restaurant takes entirely too long to get your dinner. Even with a couple of tables full.

We had a great experience at Couples San Souci as first timers at a Couples resort. Even though Jamaica had recently had the cat 5 hurricane, you wouldn't have known it at the resort. They did an awesome clean up. Service was excellent and the food was very good. We spent all our days at the au natural pool and beach and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My only suggestion to Couples would be to take better control of the activities at the au natural pool as there were several repeaters as a group that played pool volleyball all afternoon essentially taking up most of the pool when pool volleyball was only supposed to be for an hour. Some folks would also prefer to float in the pool or just socialize and it was more difficult with volleyball going on all afternoon. . Also if you were laying on the pool chairs on the pool deck you were at risk of being hit with the ball. The resort could also come up with some more creative activities or contests for couples rather than just trivia and have resort merch. as prizes. Overall we had a great experience and will return.

For a short and sweet review to begin - I would not recommend this resort to anyone, but specifically for honeymooners. As an all inclusive experience as a whole, I would not recommend this resort, and the overall reasoning why would be the accessibility of it.
For starters, I will go over the positives of my wife and I's stay - it was our honeymoon, and our travel agent recommended couples for the smaller resort layout and intimate atmosphere. I will say that this resort did have a very intimate atmosphere, it wasn't too large, and there were not too many other couples at the resort or at least in once place at once. We absolutely had our time together, which made it special. Secondly, the scenery was absolutely out of this world. The clear water, the foliage and exotic plants and animals were all incredible, especially when if you are like us and come from miles of corn fields around your town.
As far as positives, unfortunately that is where my praise ends, and those are the reasons I am giving this resort 2 stars. As for the negatives; to begin, just arriving on the resort, we were offloaded our bus from the airport along with our luggage and stood at check-in waiting for what we should do next. People and staff walked by for several minutes before we were instructed where to go for check in. Once we got to the lobby (which was admittedly close and just down the path we were dropped off at, we were told to sit and wait, were offered champagne (a nice touch) and were promptly checked into our room. We then waited for concierge to assist with our bags, where the staff member alone could not carry our bags and I was asked to carry one myself. I thought it was odd but blew it off.
Being at the resort, once the views and scenery wear off, I and my wife both felt like we were a nuisance to the staff. I very much try my best to give people the benefit of the doubt, and I absolutely don't expect people to be smiling 24/7, especially while working, but several times we would pass a staff member and smile and say hello, only to be stared at, or in some cases, angrily looked at. We both constantly felt like the staff were either so indifferent in our experience that they did not want to acknowledge us, or felt as if we were such an inconvenience to them that they refused to acknowledge us.
We chose this resort for the intimacy for a honeymoon, and while the atmosphere was an intimate one, several times we looked at each other and verbally said that it didnt feel like a true honeymoon. The only acknowledgment we had got from the resort for us celebrating our recent marriage was a small certificate congratulating us on being married, and a plate of cheese delivered to our room. None of the staff asked why we were on vacation, at the resort, or why we chose the resort. I didn't expect a red carpet by any means, but something just to make it feel special and different from any other trip would have been nice.
The food was okay at best. The breakfast buffet had a decent amount of options and you are absolutely bound to find something you enjoy, but the main staple high-dining restaurant Cassanova was a major letdown. We both ordered rack of lamb and salmon respectively, and both were extremely well done and even overcooked, after the experience we did not go back. Our favorite eat was the beach side restaurant for lunch, but the menu was decently limited to the point we ordered the same dishes a few times while we were there.
The largest gripe I had was the accessibility of this resort. As an all inclusive, we are going in with the mindset that we are paying for everything up front, but on this trip this was not the case, as although we did pay monetarily for everything up front, we did not pay in time for everything up front. We, for the life of us, could not get our mini fridge stocked with drinks for days, and finally a day until we left we got our drink orders. Room service regularly took 1.5 - 2 hours to fulfill as well.
Admittedly I have a few more issues with our stay, but an unable to convey them in one review.

Where do I start? This resort is advertised as a 5 star property and it would be generous giving it a 3. The resort is old and tired and badly in need of upgrades.
To start with a few positives: airport pick up was organized with no issues.(be prepared for a 2 hour drive in traffic). Check in was very welcoming and organized including luggage delivery to our room. Our king size bed was very comfortable. The grounds are absolutely spectacular and well kept. For the most part staff were wonderful. Carol who makes the breakfast omelettes is a joy!
New Year’s Eve celebrations were fabulous and very well done. The cocktail party, main event and entertainment were extraordinary despite the weather not cooperating.
The Bella Vista restaurant was consistently good with wonderful service.
Now for the negatives: we expected so much more of the buildings, pools, beach and food after looking at the pics on their website.
The buildings are tired and in need of renovations. Our room needed a deep clean right down to mildew in the shower.
When you reserve you get an email as to what you would like stocked in your complimentary mini bar. When we arrived our choices were not present. We reached out to the front desk, we used their app, we spoke to beverage staff and finally the day before we left we were able to get some of what we requested. Unfortunately some of the bottles had been previously opened so therefore we did not consume them for obvious reasons.
We mostly used the AN pool and beach. The pool and hot tub maintenance were lacking. Most days you could not see through the cloudy water to the bottom of the hot tub. The lounge chairs are equipped with floatie type pads. They were filthy and covered in mildew. The pool bar always ran out of plastic glasses. By mid day everything was served in a tumbler including wine. The selection of drinks were limited when they ran out of stock and there were no non alcohol beers to be had. The beach was intermittently raked but garbage persisted in the sand.
Food: breakfast is served buffet style with an omelette station in Palazzina.
It is repetitious and unless you get an omelette items in the chafing dishes are lukewarm at best. It is the same food daily. Staff don’t work as a team. You may get a coffee cup when you sit down but getting it filled with coffee is another story.
The higher end Casanova restaurant was a total disappointment. The menu is fabulous and the food is tasty; however, the food was consistently cold and the service was either slow or non existent. The restaurant was consistently obviously short staffed.
The gym is small and cramped due to it being relocated as the original facility has structural damage. This is understandable however the equipment is very dated and needs to be replaced.
Most of the issues we encountered were brought up to senior staff yet after an 8 day stay we noticed no improvement to even the basic issues.
This resort was a very expensive 3 star experience. Overall it is a one and done for us.

I can't say enough about Sandals Negril. This was our first experience with Sandals. We are well seasoned travelers and have experienced many vacation facilities and Sandals Negril is hand down the best. The resort offers many onsite activities and the food throughout the various restaurants are superb. My hats off to the chefs! We enjoyed the variety of entertainment and the performers did an excellent job choreographing the routines. Regarding the staff, I want to say I have never experienced such professionalism. The staff knew us by name and made us feel like we have known each other for years.The staff would go above and beyond for us. I do want to point out two of them.. Anita and Trishun.. These two women I can't say enough about. Thank you for making our honeymoon an unbelievable time.

The resort is gorgeous and the staff is extra helpful and always ready to help. First time staying at a Sandals and it will not be our last. We came for a wedding and they made it as stress free as humanly possible. The staff is everywhere and always asking if you need anything. I only did 4 stars for the room because we stayed in the original section on the third floor, it needs some updating- but honestly the room is fine and the view is fantastic.
The food is great, hard to get reservations at some of the places so plan ahead for that. The main pavilion is fantastic for breakfast, lunch and dinner though. You can get in there without reservations. Plenty to do and lots of beach to sit at or the pool(s) are good too. The sun comes up early (5am), so get your beach chair as soon as possible- put a towel on one and get a Bob Marley- those are fantastic!
Sign up for the excursions too- glass bottom boat and snorkeling are great. Do the glass bottom boat early in your stay- they give a lot of info about the other options on and off the resort.

Shentol (Lipstick) was so happy and joyful, Tovia at Barefoot was spectacular. Cheroo's fruit cake is amazing! Leonie is so sweet and kind and helped us find Crema when we were lost (and helped us at Bayside). Jeffrie was hilarious and took great photos. Willis at the bar had great spirit! Jason and all the water sports guys were on it and very helpful for us to learn and enjoy. Chantay and Dillion deserve extra respect at Perla. They were so personal and friendly, amazing people to meet, great at their job (as well as Lipstick). Toni was a great server at the Sundowner. To finish it up our bus driver David was informative and friendly. This was our first big trip and you all in Jamaica Negril WON US heart and soul ♥️
All of the compliments I'm giving could only read as an understatement. The people of Jamaica are a beautiful and kind people that made us feel very loved. Mewani more Jamaica and the wata fell from our eyes as we had to leave....cuz ya gotta leave of mewani come back!

Our stay at Sandals Negril was truly unforgettable from start to finish. We chose one of the swim-up rooms, and it was absolutely worth it. Having direct access to the pool just a step from our patio created the perfect balance of relaxation and luxury. The property itself is beautiful, but what really elevated our experience was the exceptional service throughout the resort, especially at the nearby restaurants where every meal felt special.
However, the true standout of our trip was Asha Lee. What started as her being our waitress quickly turned into something much more. She went so far above and beyond that she honestly became part of our vacation family. She anticipated our needs, checked in on us even when she wasn’t assigned to us, and made sure every detail of our stay felt personalized and cared for. She might as well have been our butler. Her level of attention, warmth, and professionalism was that exceptional.
One of the most memorable highlights of our trip was a birthday dinner on the beach. The setting was stunning; the sunset, the ambiance, the attention to detail; everything came together to create a magical evening that we will always remember. Put together by Asha Lee, of course. She made the most beautiful set up and covered it with an umbrella- so we could enjoy even in the light rain of the evening.
We would absolutely return to Sandals Negril without hesitation, and next time we would even consider booking one of the butler suites; especially if we could request Asha Lee as our butler. She is a true asset to the resort and someone who made our experience genuinely extraordinary.

This is our 6th or 7th Sandals trip but first to Negril.
Overall, we had a great week, the resort is small but has we'll maintained grounds and a good layout. The staff were great and always very welcoming, which is one of the reasons we visit Jamaica often. We stayed in the Bamboo Grove building which is on the far end but is one of the newer buildings.
The resort it self is on a very narrow strip of land between the ocean and the main road which is very different from other Sandals locations. You dont hear too much road noise other than thr occasional loud truck while sitting at the main pool. Negril is well know for their beaches and the water was great however storms earlier this year caused major erosion of the beach to the point where the chairs were right at the water.
Food wise, we found all of the restaurants had great food. We unfortunately were unable to get a decent reservation for Brava but oh well, no biggie. One evening we took a taxi down the Beaches for sushi at Soy.
For entertainment, we found the staff were engaged at the main pool. We did not participate in any of the evening entertainment this trip so I can't comment there. We did manage to stay up one night for karaoke and it was only 4 couples doing it. I will say, at least during our visit, the guests seemed to be a majority of early risers and early to bed types.
As a last note, I would like to call out the bartender Romario. He worked hard to give attention to everyone while also keeping active conversations with us. Romario was one of our favorite bartenders during the trip.

Our stay at Jamaica Inn was defined by a rare and genuine sense of connection. The staff doesn't just provide service; they welcome you into the fold, making up inside jokes and treating you like true family from day one.
There is a profound beauty in the simplicity of this resort. We spent our mornings enjoying leisurely two-hour breakfasts on the verandah and peaceful strolls along the beach. Even on the overcast and rainy days, the property remains incredibly elegant and serene. It’s the perfect place to slow down and appreciate the quiet moments.
The dining experience was equally impressive. The food was consistently delicious, and the staff was exceptionally attentive and cautious regarding food allergies at every single meal.
My only complaint is that we didn’t stay long enough! We will absolutely be returning for a full week next time to soak up every bit of this magic.

We had such a wonderful stay at Jamaica Inn. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm, welcoming, and genuinely special.
Our room had a balcony with a beach view, and that alone made the experience unforgettable. Waking up every morning to the sound of the waves was incredibly peaceful. It didn’t feel like a typical resort stay. It honestly felt like being at home, just by the ocean.
The staff really made this place stand out. Everyone we interacted with, whether it was at breakfast, on the beach, or housekeeping, was kind, warm, and attentive. A special mention to Xavier, the lifeguard, who was especially friendly and made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay.
We also visited the spa, and it was such a calming, relaxing experience. It perfectly matched the overall peaceful vibe of the resort and was definitely one of the highlights for us.
Another thing we loved was how thoughtfully the resort planned activities. We stayed for four nights, and every evening there was something going on. It kept things engaging, especially since evenings in Ocho Rios can be quieter.
One of the most memorable touches was the nightly treats. Instead of the usual generic desserts, they gave something unique and local each evening. One night we had a coconut wrap, a Jamaican dessert that was so simple yet incredibly delicious. These small, thoughtful details really made a difference.
Also, a fun bonus. They have a dog named Shadow who is absolutely adorable. Spending time with her was such a sweet part of the experience.
Overall, this stay felt personal, peaceful, and genuinely special. We would absolutely come back.

Where do I even begin? This was our honeymoon trip, and it was truly a dream from start to finish. I honestly can’t think of a single negative thing to say about this resort.
The ability to easily transfer to the larger resorts was a great bonus, the food was consistently delicious, and room service was incredibly fast. But what really made this experience unforgettable was the staff.
From Omar greeting us by name every time he saw us, to the warm smiles and exceptional service from everyone in the restaurants, we felt genuinely cared for throughout our stay. The entertainment team—especially Alex and Brandon—kept the energy fun and engaging every day.
A special thank you to our butlers, Richard and Duwaney, who went above and beyond for us. No request was too small—even tracking down a random oatmeal raisin cookie! Their attention to detail made us feel so special.
And I can’t forget Shirley at the spa. After months of wedding planning, her massage and facial were exactly what I needed. Not only was the treatment incredibly relaxing, but she also gave me helpful advice for my dry skin that I’ve already started using.
What makes this resort so special is its smaller size. It creates such a warm, family-like atmosphere while still delivering top-tier service and luxury. By the end of our trip, it truly felt like home.

It’s an 5 star, all inclusive, butler service resort. All rooms are suites. It’s a small adults only quiet resort.
The hotel is beautiful, very clean, staff are very attentive and you want for nothing.
It is very quiet in the evening which we like, you can use the bus service to go to the larger resort if you want more nightlife or restaurants.
Highly recommended if you like to be pampered and like peace and quiet. If you like to party probably not for you.

We returned last Thursday from our first trip to Jamaica and our first Sandals visit — at Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios — and it was truly the best resort experience we’ve ever had. And I mean ever.
This is a quieter, intimate resort with only about 75 rooms. It’s not a party place — and that’s exactly why we loved it. The vibe is relaxed, personal, and elevated. Evenings offered great entertainment without ever feeling loud or chaotic.
If you’re looking for more nightlife, Sandals Ochi next door brings the energy. The speakeasy there, The Rabbit Hole, is a must — we saw Lady Cher perform, and she is incredibly talented.
If you’re a big pool person, this may not be the perfect fit unless you’re comfortable heading next door to use the larger pools. Royal Plantation is more about the beach, the butler service, and the peaceful atmosphere.
The food was outstanding — the coconut lobster was out of this world… and the lamb? Phenomenal.
What truly sets this resort apart is the warm atmosphere, the attention to every little detail, and the phenomenal service — you don’t just feel like a guest… you feel at home.
That culture starts at the top. Omar, the resort manager, leads in a way you can feel. He knows guests by name, checks in often, and sets a tone of pride and excellence that carries throughout the property.
Our butlers, Sherril and Gladstone, were exceptional. From fresh coconut and lobster lunches on the beach to running out for authentic jerk chicken — the attention to detail was next level.

Sequoia — lovely to talk to, extremely knowledgeable, and absolutely stunning on Valentine’s Day.
No one was ever pushy. The service felt genuine. The atmosphere felt intentional. That’s why people return year after year — and now we completely understand why.
After the hurricane hit the island months ago, the resilience and pride of the Jamaican people were deeply humbling. You can see the rebuilding, but what you feel is warmth and gratitude everywhere.

My wife and I got engaged at the Royal Plantation 20 years ago. It was wonderful then and has never disappointed us on the 3 stays since then. The latest was during December 2025. We felt constantly pampered. Although the fact that there are only 73 rooms all overlooking the beautiful beach, excellent restaurants, the real reason this resort sets itself apart from the rest is the staff. First Omar and Marvin (General Manager/Operations Manager) set the tone. They were constantly present greeting guests but also pitching in to help clear dishes and serving food and drinks. Our butlers (Ricky and Bigs) were not only very attentive but also great guys who were more friends than servers.
Some additional employees we would like to recognize are Jlee, Chevy, Stephanie, Kimmy and Tresell. They were all constantly present with beautiful smiles and eager to serve us what ever we wanted.
Garnet AKA Crocodile was a wonderful bartender remembering our names (and favorite drinks) every time we saw him.
We can't forget Sequoia who helped us rebook our trip next year.. Not only was she incredible pleasant to talk to but also extremely knowledgeable about how to make our next trip to Royal Plantation the best.

I honestly do not have one negative thing to say. From the time we got there we felt like we were at home and were treated so nicely. It was our honeymoon and we arrived and the room was decorated. We love our butlers Chase and Neil they were both lovely. All the staff were amazing especially Jlee and Romane(our favorites the whole trip) the food & the drinks all 10/10. The spa is amazing (Charnel I believe) gave the absolute best massage I’ve ever had and made it so relaxing and peaceful. The managers were top notch and did not hesitate to step in and help. This is definitely a more intimate, chill , and calm resort and we absolutely loved it that way. We made friends we will hopefully have for a lifetime. The perfect place to go for a honeymoon. I could truly go on and on about what a great time we had. My favorite vacation ever. We will always cherish the memories made and cant wait to return. By far the worst part was leaving.

Our 6 day stay was fabulous! The grounds are well kept. The food is amazing. You must eat at Eleanors, Neptunes, Schooners, and enjoy Jamaica Day at Bayside! Jamaican food is DELICIOUS!! As well, the staff is absolutely wonderful! I have to mention a few bartenders that were top knotch not only in their mixology talents; they were also eager to provide us with their Jamaican culture, favorite places to tour and cooking secrets: Travoy, Mario, Chantail, Cadeisha, and our absolute favorite was a special lady named Tasheeka! We also received an education on the modern reggae with a personal acópela demonstration from new hire, Rodaine! My sweetheart and I had a fabulous stay! The drive from the airport is long and tedious but we got to see some of the island so it was fine. The staff was phenomenal. This was my fourth and final Sandals trip. I feel like the sandals resorts have really fallen off for the price. The food is OK nothing special. The pool was Dirty most days. The room had water spots on the ceiling and the air conditioner didn’t work very well and they said it was working as it should. The The room’s coldest they got was 78°. The highest they got was 84°. The shows are not great. The only thing that was good was the Butler service. So like I said at the beginning, this is my fourth and final trip to sandals resorts. We have stayed at four different resorts and the brand has been in a decline for the last couple years with the price is just going up.

TLDR: BEWARE OF RESORT STAFF SCAM AT CHECKOUT.
This review details a profoundly disappointing stay at the Grand Lido Negril, an Autograph Collection Resort. Our experience, which we expected to meet the standards of the Marriott brand, was instead defined by operational failures and culminated in a deeply troubling incident at checkout.
Persistent Operational Shortcomings:
· Misleading Dining: The advertisement of 11 restaurants was a gross exaggeration. Only two were operational at any time during our stay, with published hours being consistently inaccurate. This disrupted our plans, including pre-booked excursions.
· Subpar Quality: The culinary experience was lacking. The buffet was average with an over-reliance on sweetness. Drinks were either watered down or cloying. A dinner at "Zen" was poorly executed, featuring stale sushi seaweed, bland fried rice, and dry, tough meat. Dinner at Calypso was also met with significant delay dispute pre-booking both restaurants.
· Infrastructure and Safety: Ongoing construction created early morning noise. Multiple power outages occurred; one left me in a pitch-black dressing room. Most alarmingly, an open elevator shaft was left without safety warnings—a serious hazard we discovered by near-accident. Staff were dismissive when we reported it.
The Final Incident: A Disturbing Accusation at Checkout
The most serious issue occurred during checkout with Front Desk Agent Kim. The previous day, we had pre-paid her $136 USD for a massage and $130 USD for a manicure/pedicure (total $266 USD). At our request, she converted the total to Jamaican dollars, and we paid J$47,445 in cash. We received a receipt but failed to review it immediately.
The next morning, Kim insisted we had an outstanding balance of $130 USD, claiming our payment only covered the massage. She escalated the situation, involving multiple colleagues who supported her without a full review.
After 40 minutes, security arrived. We were then informed there are no security cameras in the lobby to verify the transaction. The security guard sided with Kim's account.
After nearly two hours, a manager, Shanara, intervened. The resolution came nearly three hours into the ordeal when security presented a photograph of a pile of cash, alleging it was our payment. The assortment of bills shown did not match what we had tendered. We were then accused of confusing banknote denominations. The cash we provided consisted predominantly of orange JMD $5,000 bills obtained from the bank. As tourists, it is illogical that we would have been carrying the specific assortment of numerous green JMD $100 and red JMD $50 bills depicted in their "evidence," especially for a resort stay. This is further supported by the fact that we consistently tipped the baristas and other hotel staff with JMD $1,000 notes, demonstrating the denomination of currency we had on hand for transactions.
Faced with fabricated evidence and with no way to prove our innocence, we felt compelled to pay the $130 a second time under duress to conclude the ordeal and depart.
Conclusion:
This entire experience was an unacceptable breach of trust. It is profoundly unprofessional to resolve a billing dispute by surrounding guests with staff and presenting fabricated evidence. The lack of operational procedures, reliable staff, and basic security cameras are failures of the hotel's management. Guests should not be held financially liable or subjected to duress to compensate for these institutional shortcomings.
For a Marriott-affiliated resort to handle a dispute in this manner is astonishing. We cannot recommend this property. If you choose to stay, we advise using credit cards for all transactions, verifying every receipt immediately, and being prepared for significant operational inconsistencies. Buyer beware.

I had such a wonderful stay at this all-inclusive Caribbean gem! The staff was incredibly professional and made sure every part of my nudist experience was comfortable and stress-free.
The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the views were absolutely stunning—perfect for relaxing and recharging.
The spa is top-notch and affordable. Saunas, pools, and showers are all clean and wonderfully inviting.
One of the highlights for me was rooftop yoga with Jovi. I showed up expecting some gentle cat-cows, but it turned out to be an energizing and fun morning workout that set the tone for the day.
Between the peaceful atmosphere and top-notch service, I can't wait to come back!

We used to love this place—Grand Lido Negril was our JAM! The staff, the food, the vibe—everything used to be top-notch. Sadly, that’s no longer the case.
We’ve celebrated our anniversary here for three years, and this visit—our fourth—will unfortunately be our last. What should have been a special and seamless experience turned into a frustrating and disappointing ordeal from start to finish.
We paid extra for room selection #9009 back in October 2024, choosing it for sentimental reasons. We even confirmed it again on March 28th over the phone, and were assured it was set. Yet when we arrived, we were told due to a “system glitch,” our room had been given to someone else. Instead, we were placed in room #9014, which had clearly been prepared for a completely different guest who had booked through Expedia—their name was on the welcome letter and personalized decorations.
To make matters worse, at check-in we were told there were two separate reservations under my name. I explained that I had booked directly through Marriott and only paid extra for the room selection through Grand Lido’s online system. I provided both confirmation emails, yet my card was still incorrectly charged—and even double-charged. That alone cost us time and stress to resolve.
The problems didn’t stop there:
• The phone and safe in the room didn’t work and required three separate visits to fix—taking away valuable time from our vacation.
• The TV had red pixel burn-ins, making it nearly unwatchable.
• Several food and beverage items on the all-inclusive menu were unavailable daily—which is baffling for a resort at this price point.
But the most infuriating part? The constant pressure to sign a release form for compensation. Every single day, someone approached us to push a form in front of me to sign. There was no actual manager on-site—just front desk staff doing damage control on behalf of management. Instead of enjoying our anniversary, we spent time being hassled over what they deemed to be “fair” compensation, with zero regard for our loyalty as four-time returning guests.
I was told I would receive my final bill by email—still waiting. I was also promised a follow-up from the General Manager before we left—never happened.
I’ve since filed an official claim and complaint with Marriott Hotels Bonvoy Membership Services and, where I hold elite status due to my extensive travel and business. We’ll see if they value loyalty better than this property does.
As of today, we are still being pressured to negotiate what they believe our compensation should be. To make matters worse, I received an email from the management—who never even showed up—claiming our room wasn’t available due to maintenance issues. Meanwhile, we spent our entire stay with the guest who was given our room and openly discussed the situation. It’s baffling that they would try to insult our intelligence like this. Absolutely ridiculous and trifling.

I honestly do not understand the hype behind this place. For the amount you pay here — easily $100–150 per person depending on drinks and appetizers — the experience was shockingly bad from start to finish. I’ve genuinely received better customer service from Chick-fil-A and even McDonald’s.
The service was one of the worst parts. Our salad came out completely dry with no dressing, and after trying multiple times to get someone’s attention, the staff either ignored us or acted annoyed that we were asking for basic things. It felt like once they dropped the food off, we no longer existed. Water glasses stayed empty, dirty plates sat on the table forever, and nobody checked on us.
For a restaurant charging premium prices, you expect professionalism, attention to detail, and at least decent hospitality. Instead, the staff seemed disorganized, uninterested, and completely disconnected from the dining experience. The food itself was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the price point.
They dont even fill your water unless you bug them
I don’t mind paying for expensive meals when the quality and service match the cost, but this felt like paying luxury prices for fast-food level service — except somehow slower and less attentive. Extremely disappointing experience overall, and unfortunately not somewhere I would recommend or return to.

Our villa ( Villa 6) had Ms. Angela, and she is, without a doubt, one of the best people I’ve ever met. She takes care of everyone with such warmth, always wearing the most beautiful smile, and her kindness shines through in everything she does. Not to mention, she’s an incredible cook!
I absolutely fell in love with Round Hill because of Ms. Angela and her amazing service, but even more because of her genuinely beautiful heart. Of course, the property itself is top-tier, the villas, the views, the food, the grounds, the pools, the facilities, ecen the way thr property us laid out...everything is breathtaking. But what truly sets this place apart is the level of care and hospitality.

Amazing luxurius hotel, I spent three nights at villa n. 10 (JFK stayed for holyday). The theme is really coloniale periodo, It has been built in the earlu 50'. The villa has 4 rooms, Wide space, private pool and service staff all a round a day, breakfast included. Near tò the beach there Is Maine Building including, restaurante bar and facilites. The staff Is so professional and gentle.

Round Hill is the original Caribbean hideaway and it has never lost what made it legendary. The property sits on a 110-acre peninsula outside Montego Bay and the setting is perfection — a private cove, lush gardens, and 27 Ralph Lauren-designed villas scattered across the hillside with views that make you stop and stare every single time. What you feel here immediately is the authenticity. This is not a manufactured resort experience. Round Hill has been hosting writers, artists, musicians, and discerning travelers since the 1950s and that history is in the walls. The villas have their own pools and you can be completely private for your entire stay or you can be social at the beach club and main restaurant. The food is the best Jamaican cuisine I have had at a resort — real jerk, fresh fish, vegetables from the garden, all done with technique and care. The beach is calm and protected. The staff knows your name immediately and keeps it the whole trip. Jamaica is a complicated island but Round Hill is where you experience the best of it. Timeless.

We visited this location while on a week stay at another resort. We wanted to check out the clothing optional beach the resort offered. The photos of the island look inticing, a nice stretch of beach to enjoy some adult fun in the sun. We paid $300 ish dollars for day passes and immediately took the short ferry ride to the island. Upon reaching the clothing optional side of the island, we realized there was no beach at all, simply a small patio next to the ocean with a few sets of chairs. The closeness of the arrangement and other couples made us uncomfortable and we felt advertising a “beach” was a misdirection by the resort. We immediately took a ferry back to the office and requested a refund based on the misunderstanding. What I thought would be a simple transaction turned into an ordeal that wasted even more time. We were told immediately that we would not be receiving a refund, despite me being reasonable and pointing to the picture of island that hung in the office, indicating that it was false advertising and not a beach. We asked for a manager. We sat in the office for an hour waiting for a manager to come talk to us. When we finally talked to the manager, she told us we could get a half refund. At this point we were upset at the way we had been treated and they clearly didn’t want to talk to us anymore after they had our money. I told her that this was a poor representation of the resort and of Jamaica. She eventually told us that we would receive a refund and we left the resort. We never did receive a refund. The people of Jamaica are great, but the corporations have captured about every inch of the beachfront. I would avoid this resort in particular, and for us, this was a big reason why we will never return to Jamaica.

My husband and I stayed five days at Sandals Royal Caribbean for our Anniversary. This is a beautiful resort, very relaxing if you are looking for a relaxing resort with all the amenities. The rooms are beautiful, the restaurants serve good food, the grounds are well maintained. The ocean view is awesome. Can't wait to go back next year. The hospitality is awesome 👍

The food was delicious. We went for our Thirty Year anniversiry and my wife being cancer free. If you need to refresh I would encourage you to plan a trip.

We had a wonderful experience at Sandals Royal Caribbean. This was our 1st experience with any Sandals Resort and it did not disappoint. We went for our 24th anniversary. Our butler's Jerome and Kristof really made our trip extra special. I've never had a service like that before so it was hard for me to ask for things but they never made me feel like I was bothering them and encouraged me to call or text. We are looking forward to exploring more of the Sandals resorts in the future!

Just finished our first vacation to Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay. We had a nice time overall but I was definitely disappointed in the experience at Sandals. We paid so much money for our trip and was left still wanting more. The resort didn't inform us that there was construction right next door to our building the entire week we were there, starting as early as 7 am. There was also repairs and construction happening right outside our room for 3 days straight. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, my husband even tried sleeping on the couch in our room. The smoke detector flashed brightly all night long right above our heads. The lunch options were mediocre. We waited 45 minutes for two gross pizzas from the pizza restaurant on resort. Room service was not good, our nachos were completely stale and burgers were overcooked and dry. The croque monsieurr my husband got was cold and cheese wasn't even melted. We were constantly bothered by calls to our room to book another vacation, photographers wanting to take our pictures, spa staff coming up to us on the beach to schedule services, and locals yelling at us from the water to buy their trinkets. Our in room bar was only stocked 3 times for the 7 nights we stayed. We did get massages that were overpriced and not worth the money. The dinner options were good for the most part, that was probably the best part of the trip. The tub and shower in our room were great and the view was good as well. Overall just disappointed in our experience, thankfully my husband and I still had fun relaxing in the sun, but the resort needs work.

Lets me start with letting you guys know that my experience was during hurricane mellisa. From he first time stepping off the plane, 5 star experience sandals lounge with red stripe and red stripe light on tap. The staff all were overly amazing. Then the strorm hit wrecked the the place. At this point I would like to give them 7 stars. The way the staff took care of us during this storm not being able to get ahold of there own families while displaying smiles and comfort for us. I would like to make two huge shout outs to Vernon which I believe was the general manager stayed very professional and also went above in beyond keeping us updated and always accessible. Daneree which luckily happened to be our neighbor was so comforting, informative, genuine, a absolutely breathe of fresh air and again i repeat she was also a person who didnt know if her family was safe or still went out her way every chance she got to make sure we was good and tht includes the whole staff. All the days we wasnt able to fly out was complimentary which later I found out alot of places charged a distress rate ate 700 dollars but not sandals. They fed us everyday 3 meals one being oxtails and and another being surf and turf this is my first experience in Jamaica and sandals. Im here to say the best experience of customer experience I've ever saw. I strongly recommend every visit this resort its worth it. Ill definitely be booking with them again.

We loved sandals for our honeymoon!!! We were there in July 2025 and everyone made us feel so at home. The entertainment staff at this resort was ASTOUNDING!!! They truly felt like family and I definitely am so grateful because it felt like home away from home. What a great establishment. The food was awesome and my husband and I had a great time. I will say food service is a little slow but that’s as expected because you’re on “island time”. But other than that, amazing! Thank you Sandals!!!

I will start by saying those who complain- you’re the problem
1. You can’t get any better than being 7 minutes from the airport with a prompt pickup after sliding through Club Mobay
2. The second we hit the resort (this is our 7th Sandals stay) everyone could not have been nicer, every single person/staff we encountered would say hi- ask how the day was- if we needed anything
3. The food actually was pretty good. Keep in mind- portions are smaller than home (which is prob for the best) but we didn’t have a bad meal. Got into Butchs twice/ they recently updated their menu and I LOVED IT (also they now offer a sit down breakfast which I think is new)
4. Get the signature roll from Soy
5. Get the Espresso Martini from the bar next to Soy/Butchs
6. To our butlers Dalton & Cassandra. Thank you. Thank you for being the warm, stress free energy we both needed. Thank you for the incredible lunches, the small details that made our anniversary trip unforgettable and the daily hugs (Cassandra). You have the most tiring job but you do it with a smile on your face and I wanted to let you know how much you are appreciated

I have to share my horrible experience as a warning to anyone potentially booking with Sandals resorts in general. Before I tell my story let me start by saying I understand weather and storms are out of their control but how they handle things going forward is.
I had booked my Honey Moon at Sandals Montego Bay for November of 2025. Due to the hurricane we were not able to go. I called them to reschedule and selected a request for a call back. I made that call 3 times with no call back. I then called again and waited on hold for 2 hours and 18 minutes only to get disconnected as soon as someone picked up. I then called back again the next day, this time I sat on hold for 3 hours and 21 minutes before I finally spoke with someone. I successfully moved my trip to approximately the same time the following year.
Here we are in March of 2026 and I receive correspondence from Sandals stating that they are making massive renovations to the properties in the area and they will not be ready in time for my travel dates. These dates are the only dates I could make this type of trip and Jamaica, simply put is where we wanted to go. I called to process a refund of the trip which they were willing to do but they refused to refund the cost of my trip insurance. Granted the trip insurance cost is not a lot of money but it is $250 that they are basically stealing from me. I did not cancel the first trip….the resort was destroyed, not their fault. I rescheduled, this time they are not able to honor the booking dates which is their fault, not mine. I should be refunded my full trip cost including my insurance fee. I spoke to a supervisor as well. Nobody cares. Terrible customer service and a guaranteed way to lose a customer forever.

Had to move rooms 3 times during our 3 night stay since the first room was infested with flies, mosquitos, and slugs. There were dead bugs on the bed and pillows when we got there. We were waiting for a new room for hours and got upgraded to a nicer suite (they should’ve just left us there) but nope. Kelsey found us the next day and told us we needed to move immediately to a different room. We got our things packed and then needed to wait for the other room to be ready. The third room we moved to still had bugs and a gross musty/vinegar smell that was embedded into the wood but we didn’t want to move again so we stayed. They lost someone in our party’s luggage for 2+ hours. There weren’t only bugs in our room, but they were everywhere around the resort. When eating at the buffet, swarms of flies would follow you, and granted everything is outside, its an abnormal amount of bugs that leads you to believe it’s a cleaning issue. The only food that was good was the omelette station at the buffet, the jerk chicken shack and most things from Soy. Every time we spoke with staff, they were rude, arrogant, dismissive, and disrespectful. For how much money you’re paying per night, the staff, food, and accommodations should be top notch. Also, not to mention you are right next to the airport and hear planes landing and taking off at all hours of the day. We will never go back, we came to the Half Moon resort and this trip did a complete 180. Clean rooms, attentive and kind staff, and the food is AMAZING. It is not all inclusive but the price difference makes up for it. Don’t go to Sandals!!

Beaches Negril is amazing. We have stayed at this resort 3 times over the past several years. We have stayed at other Sandals and Beaches resorts. This isn't the newest resort you can stay at but the warmth of the hospitality is unmatched, the beach is amazing, good food and always good times.
The people who work here make it truly memorable. Natasha our bulter for the day renting a cabana was so attentive and amazing. I believe his name is Edgar the chef at Marachi came out to introduce himself and personally make something for my wife when the El Pastor she ordered wasn't ready. It special off menu food was so good and again he was such a warm person as well.
We went to Kimonos for dinner on Fathers day. Chef Romel was outstanding. Out of all the times we ate at Kimonos over the years at various Sandals this was by far the best!!!
OD from loyalty and travel was amazing as well helping us book our next trip and welcoming us when we got to the resort. I could go on and on but the moral to this story is you can't go wrong with Beaches Negril. Love the Staff ❤️!

Our 3 generation girls trip celebration for my daughter’s HS graduation and my birthday was made even more special because of the personal connections we made with the team members at Beaches Negril. From the moment we stepped off the taxi, we were met with exceptional hospitality from Tyree, our concierge to our housekeeping Bridget. We got reservations at all the restaurants at times we requested and our fridge was always stocked. Our snorkeling captain- Creton aka Bubba aka “our Charlie” showed us a sea experience we’ve never had before by bringing safe to handle animals up for us to get a closer look at. Micah from water sports made sure we felt like family. He got us to every water sport we wanted, brought dry towels, checked in on us multiple times from the day we met until we checked out and even brought us a cool souvenir. Shout out to Marc Anthony and Patrick from water sports as well. Shamoyas golden voice and all of the entertainment staff were so talented. ShashaLee and Alexia were particularly fun to watch and interact with. It was a busy night in Mariachi and Edgar came to our table to be sure we were taken care of while we waited. We laughed, hugged and swapped great stories with all the staff like we’ve known each other forever. The Jamaican people made this trip even more special and memorable for our family.

Our stay in Jamaica was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel so welcomed and at home. The hospitality, attention to detail, and overall experience exceeded every expectation we had.
A very special thank you to our butlers, Anthony and Tawani, who truly went above and beyond to make this trip unforgettable. Every detail was handled with such care and thoughtfulness. Anthony would personally pick us up and escort us to dinner, place our napkins on our laps when we sat down, fill our waters, and even take our drink orders before the waiter made it to the table. He always made sure my 4-year-old daughter had a special drink of her choice, and she absolutely adored him. Seeing how kind and attentive he was with her made the experience even more special for our family.
We also can’t forget the emotional goodbye from the staff before leaving the resort. They came out and sang to us, and it had all of us in tears not wanting to leave such a beautiful, magical place. The love and warmth we felt from everyone there is something we will never forget.
This trip gave our family memories we will cherish forever, and I highly recommend this resort to all families looking for an unforgettable vacation experience. We already cannot wait to come back!

The staff really does make the location.
Food can be hit or miss but mostly good.
Can't fault the staff for trying to be through and efficient by cleaning and disposing items quickly to keep the resort clean. A bit frustrating when trying to keep food for later for oneself or toddler when they are willing to eat. Food is plentiful, I just don't want to be wasteful.
Shout out to Princess the hostess at Stella for morning breakfast. She's a real gem and pleasant to talk to when we come across her.
Daniel at the big top in the evening handled himself real well. He was solo at the bar for a minute but kept a smile on his face and did his best.
Artina(?) I believe worked the big top as well on another night but I got her name tonight at one of the pool bars across from the mariachi. Top notch service and listened to my obscure drink order.

So glad we actually dragged out toddler out for the final water show. We were exhausted from all the water and fun sun. This was cherry on top.

So much of the experience was exceptional. The staff were consistently warm and attentive, creating a level of service that truly stood out. It’s obvious the resort has invested heavily in building a strong service culture, and that effort shows in nearly every interaction.
The beach was perfect, and while the resort itself is a little dated, it has a relaxed charm that adds to the overall atmosphere.
The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the food. Considering the otherwise high standard of the resort, the dining experience fell well below expectations and did not reflect the premium pricing. It was the one area that consistently disappointed.
That said, the staff and overall service truly made up for it. This is easily one of the best resorts to bring your little ones to, and we created some amazing family memories here. If the resort improves the food quality and restaurant experience, it would be close to perfect.
