Overall our stay was great. Food was wonderful and the performers were great, especially Melissa! The beach is a little small but good enough. Pools are extensive and great. We had a semi-private pool that were really enjoyed. Only complaint was that we always felt like we were trying to be upcharged or sold more like another vacation, buying photos, extra excursions. Our phone in the room went off 5x one evening from 5-6 just with check in’s and sales promotions. At times we just wanted to be left alone. It would have been a nice option to put do not disturb on the phone as well as the room. But otherwise I’d totally recommend this resort.

We LOVE Sandals Ochi! Our sixth trip and we will keep coming ‘home’ here. As divers, having a clean room and good food is important ( and both have always been true) but we aren’t night life people. We come from the diving and the rest. The dive team is AMAZING. They’re kind, compassionate, knowledge and make every day and dive a beautiful memory ( shout out to Winston and Shevelle and Kemar - our DM). It’s an easy dive trip - boat docks right at the beach, and sites are close so no time wasted before you’re in the water. We’ve seen turtles, eagle rays, southern rays, squid, octopus, and so much more. The night dives are gorgeous, and this trip we splurged on a private dive early morning and it was SO worth it. Jerk shack - best chicken ever. Keisha - best travel agent ever ( we ♥️ you!). The trip in from Montego Bay is 💯 worth it - we will keep coming back, and are so grateful for all the staff that make every trip so memorable ♥️♥️

This trip was a birthday trip for my boyfriend and first out of the country trip for us! We stayed January 11th - January 15th. We stayed on the Hillside in a 4 unit butler villa. We arrived there and was taken to the Club Sandals lounge where they gave us drinks and cold towels and one by one escorted our bus group to their rooms. Derrick and Peta Gaye were our butlers and they were amazing. They offered to drive us from the lobby to our suite and vice versa. We tried to walk down to the lobby at some times but wanted to use that service for hill up mostly because it is steep. The sides are divided but the shuttle service to the beachside is very quick and waiting for a shuttle at most was 5 minutes for us. Our room was perfect and was decorated for his birthday. The semi private pool was a little chilly but just something to get used to. The Manor pool was amazing we played volleyball a couple times and played the sports in the side fields. They have a speakeasy there that was cute and a live performance inside. The only restaurant that was closed was Kelly’s Dockside due to the hurricane but all the other restaurants were pretty good, we mostly ate at The Southern Table for breakfast because that was closest to our villa. Derrick and Peta Gaye made reservations for us for dinner which was nice but was mentioned we should stay longer next time to be able to try everything! The only downside was the drive to and from the resort. It is about two hours so after flying all day you get kind of jittery and just ready to get going. They do stop about halfway though at a rest stop if people need to stretch or anything so that’s was nice. Overall we would come back again and for even longer just so we can take advantage of everything!

My fiancé and I got engaged at Sandals Ochi and it was absolutely perfect. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating. Every single person we encountered went the extra mile to make our experience great and always had a smile on their face. The resort is stunning. It took us multiple days to explore everything. There are so many beautiful look out points and restaurants. To top it off we got a free upgrade to a standalone villa when we got there. Honorable mentions to Renardo for setting up the engagement photoshoot and taking amazing photos that we will cherish forever. Renardo is an absolute professional and HIGHLY recommended. Thank you to Otis for greeting us on our way in to our villa and helping us get oriented to the resort. Otis made us feel welcomed and answered all our questions. Thank you to Alloy for providing excellent service every night at the Vista Terrace, always brought the good energy and did it with a smile on his face. I really can’t express how amazing this resort is. We will be coming back. The only things that I would be aware of before booking is the drive from Montego Bay airport to the resort took us 2.5 hours both ways. The traffic was really bad getting to the resort but if there’s no traffic the drive is apparently 90 minutes.

I want to praise Sandals Resorts, specifically Sandals Ochi, for taking such great care of all of its guests during Hurricane Melissa. What began as a vacation planned 2 years in advance for a destination wedding became a dire situation when we found out Hurricane Melissa was approaching landfall. So many people were scrambling to get the next flight out to get home to family and loved ones. Unfortunately, Jamaica (God bless Her) decided to close all airports; therefore, we were all stuck there to ride out the storm. Sandals' general manager, Carol Bourke, communicated with us daily regarding the plan for sheltering in place and assured us that we were safe. While waiting for the airports to reopen and receiving several flight cancellations, Sandals treated its guests like Kings and Queens, comping our extended nights along with providing full meals and unlimited drinks of our choice. We heard so many horror stories in regards to what other resorts were doing and how they treated their guests; charging them for the extra nights and feeding them little to nothing. We couldn't believe it and were so thankful we chose to stay at Sandals. After several flight cancelations, some of our party were able to catch the charter plane that Sandals/Beaches Resorts opted to pay for in order to get their guests to the U.S.A. From that point, we were responsible for getting a flight home. I won't say the charter flight was without flaws or perfect, but I am so thankful we and the entire wedding guest list, bride and groom, made it home safe. It was our first time visiting Jamaica and staying at any Sandals Resorts. And with the stellar service we received, let's just say we are Sandals fans for life!!!!!!! We are booking our next trip to Barbados soon.
