Day three, and i honestly can't fault anything here. A late September mother daughter vaca, it's perfect! Not crowded, the food is both authentic and drinks are superb. Its everything we could have wished for... white sandy beach or poolside with both service and entertainment. We wakeup, do a private yoga class then to breakfast. Spend the day by the pool/sea whilst sipping on champagne cocktails, then nibbling on the jerk platter (served by the pool). The spa facilities are first class, and whether you prefer water sports or day trips out its all here for you to enjoy. I give the trip a 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for service, cleanliness and the location.

As a travel agent, I chose Royalton Negril with high expectations—not just for myself, but as a property I could confidently recommend to my clients. Unfortunately, this turned into one of the most disappointing and frustrating travel experiences I’ve had. After my very first night, I became extremely ill with what was clearly a stomach virus, which I strongly believe was due to mishandling of food on the property. This completely derailed my trip. I spent the remainder of my stay confined to my room, unable to enjoy the resort, amenities, or experience I had paid for and trusted. What’s even more disappointing is what followed. I approached the situation professionally and with patience, fully expecting that a brand of this caliber would take accountability and work toward a fair resolution—especially with travel insurance involved. Instead, I’ve been continuously dragged through an exhausting and unproductive process with little to no urgency, communication, or meaningful effort to resolve the situation. To date, I have received no compensation for what was essentially a completely lost trip. As someone who plans travel for a living, I understand that things can go wrong anywhere—but what truly matters is how a property responds when they do. Royalton Negril has failed in that regard. The only reason I am giving 1 star instead of 0 is because the activities team is genuinely outstanding. On the one day I was able to briefly enjoy the resort, they delivered an incredible experience and deserve recognition for their energy and professionalism. That said, I cannot in good faith recommend this hotel to any of my clients. When something goes wrong, you can expect little to no support or resolution—and that is simply unacceptable.

Here's a draft for your review: ​ I have been visiting this hotel since 2017 and have always had an amazing experience—until 2023. I decided to give it another chance in 2024, but I had the worst experience imaginable. There was a complete lack of staff during my stay, and I went over 12 hours without any food options, with what was available being very limited. What makes this even more troubling is the significant amount of money I spent to be there, yet there was no management present to address these issues or take accountability for the poor service. I am truly disappointed and cannot recommend this hotel based on my recent experience.

Nice experience using the gym. A few recommendations: Needs curl bars, regular weight bench. The resort was great! Very clean, also restrooms throughout the resort were very clean. Polite and attentive staff. Especially Dorrett the butler, she is amazing! She went above and beyond to make our stay easy, she is helpful in every way. She needs a pay raise! She is very personable, knowledgeable about the resort, attentive, kind, she was there for us whatever we needed. She checked on us often. The bus from the airport to the resort was smooth, but there were multiple stops to other resorts so it took an hour and a half to get to our resort. But the drive and view was nice. Our driver to our excursion (Jamwest) was driving WAY too fast. At times it felt a bit unsafe. The laundry should be a set price. However, they charge you for each piece of clothing. For example: $3 for a shirt, $7 for a pair of pants, and so on. Literally, for each piece of clothing, which was shocking. The resort is family friendly. There were no big parties or clubs. The spa was amazing! The couple massage on the beach was a great experience, I would definitely recommend the spa treatment. All in all, my husband and I had a beautiful time here. We would definitely recommend Royalton Negril Resort.

Disappointed. The resort needs improvement. The cleanliness of the rooms and supplies such as wash cloths, soap, extra blankets etc are scarce. Our room was not cleaned one day which resulted in our room service plates sitting for two days. There’s only 1 pool for adults (unless you are a Diamond Club member), there’s a splash area for the children but I didn’t see or experience any children themed activities. The dining hall food is repetitive along with the poolside grill. Didn’t get to experience any restaurants because all reservations were full and only half the restaurants on the resort were open. Some staff were friendly, while others acted as if they could not see you or hear you. My credit card was charged twice at check in, but was only provided with an email to contact in order to get it resolved. I paid cash for room charges and was told they don’t have change, so the cashier just didn’t give me any. The pool towels are always out. Some drinks were limited at the poolside bar. The BUG stayed in my tub for two days and I’m not sure why the black things or someone else’s hair would be on my bed. Bathrooms were not cleaned, I purposely left soap scum on the sink (it was there my entire stay). Oh yeah, housekeeping must have forgotten they were changing the pillow case because she simply took it off and didn’t replace it. I don’t know if the workers are tired or overwhelmed but it’s not working out. This was my mom’s first experience at an all inclusive resort and her response is “I’ll stick to my cruises.” The views were pretty but I also feel like the locals are doing anything to get your $.
