Overall our trip to Azul to celebrate our anniversary was okay. Upon arrival, our first few hours were met with a room that had no functioning AC, barely a light, and our “swim up” room that consisted of the tiniest corner end of the pool covered in leaves and ants and a shared patio with the room next door. Truly unbearable and disappointing. We asked for help enough that they ended up upgrading us to a swim up suite that mirrored the picture of the original room we had thought we booked. The room was clean, air conditioned and had a beautiful patio to the swim up pool. We were hassled by two “personal concierge” workers the first two days of our trip who promised a surprise waiting for us in our room for our anniversary, but were more concerned with getting their numbers and making a sale than they were about our experience. We never saw the “anniversary surprise”. Once they gave us their sales pitch, we never saw them again. Some employees were friendly, but most didn’t seem to care. Employees were kind to me, but were blatantly rude to my husband. For example, complimenting my outfit and making fun of his shoes in the same breath. Also the first sentence out of one’s mouth when my husband walked up to the front desk for help was “now what?”. When checking out, the bellman asked what company our transportation was through and while I was looking for the company on my phone, he stated “come on, you’ve got to know something!”. At first we thought they were being playful and sarcastic, but it didn’t end and their attitudes never changed toward him. The food options were extremely limited as well with one buffet serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and 3 restaurants that were very loud and hot inside. We didn’t get to try all the restaurants because they run on a schedule with closing on certain days of the week. After day 3 of our 7 day stay, my husband had contracted a stomach virus and had to suffer through with it til our last day. The food was mediocre at best. The room service was okay, but also very limited. Towels and water were extremely hard to come by. Your room is stocked every day with 3 bottles of water, which is definitely not enough for the Caribbean heat for two people. We were told we could grab some from coolers along the beach, but were informed after that those coolers were only for members and no one else. Some days we only forced ourselves to got to the buffet so we can get our water intake in. Housekeeping kept our rooms very tidy and were much appreciated. However, we did have some guests join us in our building….roaches on the floors and walls. The beach was absolutely beautiful and there were plenty of entertainment every day and night to keep guests busy. The coffee shop had delicious coffee and pastries. The resort makes a great margarita as well! The private entry to the pool was great, as soon as we were upgraded. We are grateful to have had the stay in Jamaica to celebrate our anniversary, despite some dissatisfaction with the resort and my husband getting sick. At least he was sick in Jamaica rather than at home! Our next trip to Jamaica will not be at the Azul beach resort, however.

My husband and l had a wonderful experience at this unique resort. We loved the beach and the casual atmosphere. Above all what made our trip amazing were the exceptional staff. Jodian- At the Cafe exceeded our expectations with personalized service for each visit. Your customer service skills are exceptional. Paula- In house keeping, made sure our room was super clean. She blew us away. Nyhiska- Registered massage therapist gave me the best spa experience l have ever had. I will be back.

Oh, the Azul! This resort is an absolute stunner, a true tropical paradise that offered us so many moments of pure joy. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the front desk staff made us feel incredibly welcome, their warm greetings and accommodating nature setting a fantastic tone for our stay. Our room? Immaculate! And the view from our balcony was simply breathtaking, a postcard-perfect panorama of the island's natural beauty. The vibrant energy of the bar staff near the entrance was infectious – always ready with a smile and a friendly chat. However, a slight dip in the otherwise stellar service occurred with the bar staff by the restaurant where breakfast was served. It felt a bit disheartening when they'd engross themselves in their own conversations, leaving us waiting a little longer than expected. On a brighter note, the security team patrolling the beach were absolute legends, super cool and always ensuring our peace of mind. And the breakfast servers? Genuinely friendly and attentive, adding a lovely start to our mornings. We were also promised a meeting with a resort representative to discuss our stay and receive a $100 credit, a perk we were looking forward to. Unfortunately, this meeting never materialized, and to our surprise, there was no follow-up or apology offered. A promised call from management to rectify this oversight also never came, leaving us feeling a bit let down. While the resort itself is undeniably gorgeous, and the beach and turquoise waters were nothing short of spectacular, there's one thing we really wished for: more authentic Caribbean cuisine. After all, we were in Jamaica! By the end of our vacation, we were ready to depart. Regrettably, we won't be returning to the Azul. It's not because the resort lacked beauty – far from it! It's the inconsistency in staff friendliness that left a lasting impression, overshadowing the otherwise picturesque setting. The beach was a dream, and the water was simply out of this world! We also found that the hotel was unwilling to work with us prior to checking in as there was a change of plans prior to our arrival, trying to get an answer to various questions prior to our stay was like pulling teeth. We would not recommend our friends or family to book a stay with the Azul.

Loretta (though I think I may have butchered her name) is possibly the BEST staff there. She is very articulate, always willing to help and can see has a genuine drive and passion for what she is doing. The rest of your stafd all came off as beinhg bothered. They hardly iniated a conversation or would just stare us in the face and pass. I had the pleasure of interacting with her and she is amazing. Had it not been for her check ins our stay was going to be moved. As an HR manager, sometimes when staff train other staff theyre more open and receptive. Maybe have her train some staff in common courtesies. Jada, Flamez , Marvin, Tio were saving graces. Food was a consistent 5/10. Got clean down twice in 7 days. Water hard to come by and staff disrespecting us amongst selves in dialect was hilarious because they thought we don't understand. I hope these staff are being compensated well because it was only them that made the stay bearable

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay has been absolutely incredible, and I have to give special recognition to our butler, Tamara. This is actually our second year having Tamara, and she’s one of the biggest reasons we chose to return. She is the true definition of exceptional customer service. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel genuinely cared for. She decorated our room, surprised us with beautiful flowers, made sure we always had water, checked in on us throughout our stay, and anticipated our needs before we ever had to ask. Every interaction with her was warm, thoughtful, and sincere. Tamara doesn’t just provide great service—she creates an experience. She made our anniversary trip feel personal and unforgettable, and it’s employees like her who turn a beautiful resort into a place guests can’t wait to return to. She is an incredible asset to this resort, and I truly hope she receives the recognition she deserves. I’d also like to give a quick shout-out to Jada from the entertainment team. Her energy at the foam party was contagious! She kept everyone engaged, smiling, dancing, and having fun. She brought so much enthusiasm to the event and helped create such a lively atmosphere. Thank you, Tamara, for once again making our vacation so special, and thank you, Jada, for bringing the fun. We are already looking forward to coming back! Special shout out to Kaydene,Shantel, Tashenda all in the buffet. They were so hospitable and so kind! Always smiling and making the experience better. Camille at the bar was also a sweetheart! Great job! Tameka our housekeeper was very very sweet and very meticulous! Thanks so much for everything!
