I had the Unfortunate opportunity to meet with the GM Axel Paeckel I believe. The resort was at less than 20% occupancy. Yes I know a hurricane happened but most issues were not related. The pool bars close at 5 pm and the pool swim up bars are nicer than the main bar by the pool. Why not keep one Bar open so people gravitate towards it. I found out the low occupancy rate when they offered me an upgrade. I got the best room nevertheless and not the most expensive. It was in the best location-The food was terrible, it’s a beautiful place but the food was inedible. The mgr was an arrogant European whose nose was as high up in the air as the smell of urine drifts throughout the streets of Paris . It’s Jamaica I broke the rules and smoked on my balcony- Gimme a break! They had to bring in locals to fill the resort. The GM needs to chill! The employees seemed so scared always and I can tell they don’t feel comfortable- I can’t wait to return to the Jewel when it opens next year. I met the GM B she saw me limping carrying food to my room and offered to help. I have massive nerve damage and told you’re GM and also his mangers knew. I guess everyone thought I always impaired. He needs to be retrained in customer service. He looks so uptight/ It’s Jamaica! And as far as security. Yes I saw plenty of security but the front glass doors on the Honeymoon Ste are super flimsy. A guy could be on the beach and in less then a minute break the lock. It didn’t even have a deadbol- My door was broken and fixed the next day. I’m hoping his area supervisor will reach out to me. I don’t know who Axel is but will do more research

We stayed as a family of 3 (2 adults and our 9 year old daughter) We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. We stayed for 14 nights and didn’t want to leave. The staff provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. They really are a credit to the hotel. We had a wonderful experience in particular with Shamoya in the palms restaurant, Christina in the Italian and Ryan the life guard. Thank you!

Overall the majority of the staff was friendly, consistently greeting when passing by and a few even engaged in conversation when just passing. A few of the staff that were highlights included Davion at the swim up bar and Shamoya at breakfast buffet. Each had exceptional and memorable friendliness and personality. Davion made a rainy day a memorable experience and Shamoya started each day with her infectious energy. The beach lifeguard team went out of their way to make sure we had towels for each trip to the beach, and even got us drinks from the swim up bar on more than once occasion. The security team also deserves a shoutout as they were far and away the friendliest security staff we have encountered at any resort. They were attentive to any beach vendors that lingered too long which helped keep the beach experience carefree.

Couldn’t get towels the first few days. We had to request our fridge to get restocked with beer and water, they didn’t do it daily. Favorite bar tenders were Tina and Safarie. Feel scammed by the “free gift” - Jermaine offered us a free couple massage and $100 hotel dollars, then the massage therapist told us it was buy one get one free massage and they would take off discount when we checked out, spent $100 at gift shop and then when we checked out was charged for massage and said we were supposed to use the $100 against massage charge. Many bars close early, would have wished for an outdoor bar after ten at night , night life left some to be desired. Hotel and beach were beautiful

We had a blast in Azul Negril, the personnel was very accommodating and helpful. We appreciate everyone. Dean helped us bring our stuff to our room. Kevon took extreme good care of us and arranged a romantic dinner on the beach with my gf at night. It was superb! In Mahogany, the ladies took extreme good care of us as well, we appreciate the « safe travel » table arrangement this morning. We will never forget this trip ! Thank you all ❤️🌺
