Overall our trip to Azul to celebrate our anniversary was okay. Upon arrival, our first few hours were met with a room that had no functioning AC, barely a light, and our “swim up” room that consisted of the tiniest corner end of the pool covered in leaves and ants and a shared patio with the room next door. Truly unbearable and disappointing. We asked for help enough that they ended up upgrading us to a swim up suite that mirrored the picture of the original room we had thought we booked. The room was clean, air conditioned and had a beautiful patio to the swim up pool. We were hassled by two “personal concierge” workers the first two days of our trip who promised a surprise waiting for us in our room for our anniversary, but were more concerned with getting their numbers and making a sale than they were about our experience. We never saw the “anniversary surprise”. Once they gave us their sales pitch, we never saw them again. Some employees were friendly, but most didn’t seem to care. Employees were kind to me, but were blatantly rude to my husband. For example, complimenting my outfit and making fun of his shoes in the same breath. Also the first sentence out of one’s mouth when my husband walked up to the front desk for help was “now what?”. When checking out, the bellman asked what company our transportation was through and while I was looking for the company on my phone, he stated “come on, you’ve got to know something!”. At first we thought they were being playful and sarcastic, but it didn’t end and their attitudes never changed toward him. The food options were extremely limited as well with one buffet serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and 3 restaurants that were very loud and hot inside. We didn’t get to try all the restaurants because they run on a schedule with closing on certain days of the week. After day 3 of our 7 day stay, my husband had contracted a stomach virus and had to suffer through with it til our last day. The food was mediocre at best. The room service was okay, but also very limited. Towels and water were extremely hard to come by. Your room is stocked every day with 3 bottles of water, which is definitely not enough for the Caribbean heat for two people. We were told we could grab some from coolers along the beach, but were informed after that those coolers were only for members and no one else. Some days we only forced ourselves to got to the buffet so we can get our water intake in. Housekeeping kept our rooms very tidy and were much appreciated. However, we did have some guests join us in our building….roaches on the floors and walls. The beach was absolutely beautiful and there were plenty of entertainment every day and night to keep guests busy. The coffee shop had delicious coffee and pastries. The resort makes a great margarita as well! The private entry to the pool was great, as soon as we were upgraded. We are grateful to have had the stay in Jamaica to celebrate our anniversary, despite some dissatisfaction with the resort and my husband getting sick. At least he was sick in Jamaica rather than at home! Our next trip to Jamaica will not be at the Azul beach resort, however.

It was an enjoyable experience but there should be more variety of food during the day. The beach area was well kept and Michael the life guard was very friendly and knowledgeable about his line of work and he maintained the beach to an immaculate standard. I wasn’t aware of all the observations of the sea and surroundings that is undertaken to keep the guests safe. The staff are generally very friendly. The evening entertainment needs a revamp as compared to other hotels there was nothing going on each evening. Michael from entertainment and TT from entertainment made a difference, they went out of their way to ensure we had a good time and they seem to have limited resources but did the best they could by involving the guests and encouraging us to take part and they was lively and friendly and they made the difference to the evening entertainment. In the rooms we had a small tube of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner for three people and not enough towels. Good thing we had our own shower gel. Also no mats for the bathroom floor so the floor was wet and nothing to dry the floor with. When we rang reception there did provide more towels and shower gel very quickly. The car park is far from reception so once the cases was dropped off it is a long walk back to reception that needs to be changed. At check in the staff was very slow they have a form to be completed then was done for too long when we have paid to be here so want to start enjoying the facilities. I loved the room being accessible to the pool that was wonderful and I didn’t do the booking so was not aware this was available.

Loretta (though I think I may have butchered her name) is possibly the BEST staff there. She is very articulate, always willing to help and can see has a genuine drive and passion for what she is doing. The rest of your stafd all came off as beinhg bothered. They hardly iniated a conversation or would just stare us in the face and pass. I had the pleasure of interacting with her and she is amazing. Had it not been for her check ins our stay was going to be moved. As an HR manager, sometimes when staff train other staff theyre more open and receptive. Maybe have her train some staff in common courtesies. Jada, Flamez , Marvin, Tio were saving graces. Food was a consistent 5/10. Got clean down twice in 7 days. Water hard to come by and staff disrespecting us amongst selves in dialect was hilarious because they thought we don't understand. I hope these staff are being compensated well because it was only them that made the stay bearable

Amazing Stay at Azul Beach Resort! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Azul Beach Resort! From the moment we arrived, the experience was amazing. The resort was beautiful, the room was excellent, and overall everything was clean, comfortable, and enjoyable. I especially want to recognize the amazing ladies at the reception desk—Leshauna, DeAndra, and Shyaine. They were all extremely professional, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. A special thank you to Leshauna, who checked us in. She has such a sweet and welcoming personality and made us feel comfortable right from the beginning. She truly made a great first impression, and I honestly believe Leshauna deserves a promotion because of the excellent way she represents the resort and takes care of guests. The only area I would say could use some improvement is the food. It wasn't bad, but I feel the food could be a little better in terms of taste and variety. Other than that, everything was excellent, and I really enjoyed my stay. I would definitely recommend Azul Beach Resort and would love to visit again. Thank you to the entire team, especially Leshauna, DeAndra, and Shyaine, for making our stay so enjoyable! ❤️

Had a wonderful stay at the Azul. Our daughter absolutely loved the kids club and asked to go every day, which says it all! Meka and Dejonay were so friendly, kind and caring, and made her feel really welcome. As parents, it was lovely knowing she was happy and being so well looked after. The kids club itself is really clean, bright, colourful and air-conditioned, with loads for the children to enjoy, including arts and crafts, toys and musical instruments. A huge thank you to Meka for making our daughter’s holiday so special. The kids club was a real highlight of our stay, and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough!
