From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty—greeted with warm smiles, refreshing drinks, and hot towels. The service was exceptional and made our stay truly unforgettable. My husband and I just returned from celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. This resort truly exceeded our expectations! We were a bit nervous before arriving, as recent reviews had us concerned. Jamaica has always been our “happy place,” but our last two visits to other resorts had been disappointing compared to years past. We didn’t want to be let down again—but Hyatt Zilara completely restored our faith and reminded us why we fell in love with Jamaica 29 years ago. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s warmth and genuine hospitality stood out. Nearly everyone we encountered went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional. The small gestures and thoughtful touches throughout our visit really made the difference. A special shout-out to Shavene, Stacy, Teneika, Horatio, and Lucrellas in Watersports(sp?) —they were absolute standouts, though truly, the entire staff shined. The grounds were immaculate and beautifully maintained, the restaurants offered great variety and quality, and there was a nice balance of relaxation and activities. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to incorporate more Caribbean music on the adults-only side instead of the everyday radio songs we can hear back home—and perhaps lower the volume just a bit. Overall, we left feeling refreshed, grateful, and reminded of why Jamaica will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you, Hyatt Zilara, for helping us celebrate such a special milestone in such a memorable way!

Cons: I disagree with the 5-star rating. While the rooms are acceptable, they are extremely humid, and there was a strange smell coming from the AC vents. Additionally, the hallway carpets are filthy, showing clear signs that they haven't been replaced in quite some time. The food options were decent, but at every restaurant we visited, they were almost always out of something or missing ingredients. I also noticed that room service trays were left outside doors; for instance, a guest next to me left their tray out at night, and it was still there in the morning. While this may not be a concern for everyone, to me, it's a red flag—potentially indicating a roach problem. Lastly, the hallways leading to the rooms have an odd smell, and the lighting is quite dim. Pros: resort's outdoor areas are beautiful, and I spent most of my time there. I loved the beach, the pool, the swim-up bar, and the entertainment. The staff provided excellent service, showcasing great Jamaican hospitality. The spa is outstanding as well. I had a massage overlooking the beach, and it was amazing. The spa facilities are very clean, and the staff there is incredibly friendly. To sum it up, I would definitely stay here again. Personally, when I'm on vacation, I only use my hotel room for sleeping. However, if you prefer spending more time in your room or plan to stay for an extended period, I would not recommend it. For me, the beauty of the resort's outdoor spaces outweighed any drawbacks I noticed

If I could give this place -10 stars I would, I stayed with a large party about 12 of us and about 5 rooms total . We all have been to Jamaica once before staying at different resorts, however my aunt stayed here previously and recommend it. Not to mention all the money we spent as a group we bought multiple cabanas almost every day and did excursions. It was for my grandfathers 60th birthday. They gave him the wrong room for days the room was a downgrade from what he originally purchased, one of my other family members had a room with a broken AC. The attitudes of the staff was terrible, and my grandfather was gifted a $900 brand new canon camera, that was gifted at dinner, stayed in his room the whole trip and was missing right before when we left. We also had to retrieve our own bags when leaving from the room because they took so long and our scheduled ride was soon leaving. I contacted the hotel about a month after, about the camera and was put on a almost never ending wild goose chase through phone and email for almost a year just to be told even with an insurance claim after all the money all 12 of us spent on this resort they couldn’t replace my grandfathers camera and offered a laughable $100-150 for a brand new $900 canon camera (with receipts of purchase provided). When we are certain it was taken from him room. We go on vacations every year we’ll be in Aruba this summer, and we have been to Jamaica plenty of time we will NEVER go on this resort again. (Posting on both since the 12 of us collectively stayed on both) (Also added a photo of us so you can infer how much money we spent as a group so to not replace a $900 camera stolen on your property after the terrible service to potential repeat customers is a terrible business move by the way)

This place was absolutely astonishing! I stayed on the adults only side- all inclusive. The staff was so friendly and helpful, the place was beautiful, and the food/drinks were amazing!! I would definitely go back. 10/10, highly recommend.
