My wife and I got engaged at the Royal Plantation 20 years ago. It was wonderful then and has never disappointed us on the 3 stays since then. The latest was during December 2025. We felt constantly pampered. Although the fact that there are only 73 rooms all overlooking the beautiful beach, excellent restaurants, the real reason this resort sets itself apart from the rest is the staff. First Omar and Marvin (General Manager/Operations Manager) set the tone. They were constantly present greeting guests but also pitching in to help clear dishes and serving food and drinks. Our butlers (Ricky and Bigs) were not only very attentive but also great guys who were more friends than servers. Some additional employees we would like to recognize are Jlee, Chevy, Stephanie, Kimmy and Tresell. They were all constantly present with beautiful smiles and eager to serve us what ever we wanted. Garnet AKA Crocodile was a wonderful bartender remembering our names (and favorite drinks) every time we saw him. We can't forget Sequoia who helped us rebook our trip next year.. Not only was she incredible pleasant to talk to but also extremely knowledgeable about how to make our next trip to Royal Plantation the best. We also saw our previous butlers - Gladstone and Sherille. They remembered us and greeted us like family. Thank you all! Tim & Beth

Dear Omar and Marvin, what an enjoyable trip this was. The grounds looked amazing even after the hurricane and the updated rooms are nice too. We love coming to RP and it is for a few particular reasons. The beauty of the resort itself and the people who make our stay so special. It’s hard to name everyone as I haven’t yet figured out my own system as the two of you have. Your ability to recall each of your guests is amazing and what makes this resort unique. Thank you for the intention and time that goes into that task. Here is a list of shout outs for the week, and I know I will forget some people so I’ll apologize in advance. There is no particular order to my list but I’ll start with Chase, Neil and Rhona, Garnet, Trevardo, Romane and Daniello. These seven people are magnificent at their jobs in their own special ways and for me what they do is build relationships and make personal connections that contribute to guests feeling safe, cared for and loved. They are the faces of “One Love.” They reach guests souls with thier humanity. This year and every year I wonder what I’d do if they weren’t here. I am so glad they were. Next I want to recognize the loyalty staff beginning with Sequoia. She is a kind hearted woman and excellent at her job and Horatio and Mahesh were very helpful to us as well. Mahesh helped us with understanding our free stay, which we haven’t booked yet, but he guided us in order to know what to do. Horatio has been very kind as well. We are booked for another stay and are already counting the days till next year. Now for all the staff that we have “touch points” with, forgive me if I don’t give specifics, my mind is a little slow on recall these days and I am going to mess up spelling as well. My apologies. Delmario- our first time meeting him and he was a delight. He and Roshane are very good with remembering all the guests names. Part 1 of 2, see part two in “note worthy details below.

This intimate resort enhanced romantic experience. We celebrated our 45th anniversary. The service, food, ambiance and walkable room to beach made for an enjoyable getaway (4 nights). The butlers were an amazing & delightful bonus. We had rose pedals leading to our warm bubble bath; just awesome!

We have just returned from our stay at Sandals Royal Plantation, and while I know feedback often focuses on what goes wrong, I wanted to start the New Year on a positive note—because this experience deserves to be celebrated. Our stay was absolutely exceptional and exceeded our expectations in every possible way. From the very beginning, Omar and Tamara set the tone with outstanding service. They ensured everything was perfectly prepared in our villa prior to our arrival—and it truly was. That level of care immediately made us feel welcomed and valued. During our stay, our butlers, Delgado Garden and Keanio Gaynor, were simply the best of the best. From start to finish, they anticipated our preferences without ever needing to ask—everything we enjoyed was always thoughtfully waiting for us. This was true luxury at its finest. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made our stay incredibly special, and we cannot thank them enough. Our housekeeper, Shanique, was always smiling and such a pleasure to see each day. The villa was impeccably cleaned and cared for, with special touches that never went unnoticed. Chef Martin prepared a private dinner for us that we will remember forever. The food was absolutely delicious, and you could truly feel the passion behind every dish. It’s clear that he genuinely loves what he does—thank you for such an unforgettable evening 😊 And Omar—there is truly no General Manager like him. Every single day he greeted us by name and remained actively present throughout the property. His leadership is clearly reflected in the team’s performance and happiness. Even other guests commented on how impressive it was that he knew everyone by name. That kind of leadership is rare and truly first-class in every sense.

It's not the building, views, or even the food that keep us coming back. We just completed our sixth stay here over the past 15 years and some of the same employees are still there. Getting to know the staff is truly the best part. The managers, Omar and Marvin, are running this place as if it was their own home. Always checking on guests by name, checking the food, and really caring about the experience. You will certainly find prettier rooms with fancy bathrooms all over the Caribbean, but you'll never find better hospitality and personalized service. If you want anything all, just ask. They'll do it! Special lunch? Unique drink? Just ask! They even provided coffee beans in my room so I could grind my own coffee. Those little touches make all the difference in the world.
