The company has waved goodbye to big dining hall experiences and buffets and opted instead to embrace unique space and diverse options From Korean barbecues and sizzling steakhouses to an international food market and elaborate brunches, you won’t struggle to find a superb venue to tantalise your taste buds. World-class chefs including, Brad Farmerie and Sohui Kim, are among the names behind the sensational menus on Virgin ships, creating gourmet fare to satisfy the most discerning palate. Dining venues you’ll discover include The Wake (steak and seafood), Extra Virgin (Italian), Pink Agave (Mexican), The Dock House (Mediterranean) and Gunbae (Korean). If you fancy a late-night bite, all options are covered with a 24/7 diner, a noodle bar and a pizzeria among the options available.
On board Virgin Voyages, all prices are in US dollars. Instead of cash, purchases are made through a cashless onboard account linked to a wearable wristband, which acts as your key and payment method. You can top up your account using cash, debit or credit card, although some transaction fees may apply depending on payment method.
Virgin Voyages includes a wide range of entertainment in your fare, from live shows and immersive performances to music, comedy and themed events at sea. There are no formal nights onboard and no enforced dress code. Sailors are encouraged to wear whatever reflects their personal style, although footwear and cover-ups are required in dining venues. One standout event is "Scarlet Night," a ship-wide celebration featuring music, performances and poolside parties.
Gratuities are already included in your cruise fare on Virgin Voyages, so no tipping is required onboard. Wi-Fi is also included at no extra charge, allowing full internet access throughout the ship. Your travel pack, including luggage tags and your wristband for cabin access and payments, is issued when you arrive at the port rather than in advance.
Virgin Voyages provides accessible cabins and assistance for guests with reduced mobility or additional needs. Guests should notify Virgin Voyages in advance when booking through Destination2Cruise. Each ship has a medical centre staffed with doctors and nurses. Smoking (including vaping) is only allowed in designated areas, and violations may result in significant penalties. Virgin Voyages is strictly adults-only, with a minimum age of 18 to sail. Laundry services are available for a fee, and the Sailor loyalty programme is automatically joined after your first cruise.
Dining includes 24-hour options like "Diner & Dash" as well as in-cabin delivery via Ship Eats. Most food, soft drinks, tea and coffee are included, though premium items and delivery fees may apply. Guests may bring two bottles of wine per cabin onboard, but spirits and beer are not permitted. Virgin Voyages does not cater for children, as all sailings are adults-only. There are no kids' facilities onboard. Excursions ("Shore Things") are not included and must be booked separately via the app or onboard services.
