Disney dining is a truly wonderful 24-hour experience, with gastronomic delights galore to tantalise every palate. The cruise company operates an incredible choice of 29 eating venues across its fleet, with everything from fast dining venues to elegant gourmet restaurants where French, Italian, American, Middle Eastern cuisines are among the choices available. Rotational dining lets guests 'rotate' to one of three main restaurants, with a new menu and uniquely themed setting every evening. Some restaurants create a fairy tale setting, while others bring scenes from your favourite films to life. There's even a venue where you can watch the décor transform as you eat, with the sky magically changing from day to night. Exclusive adult dining restaurants cater for fine dining in intimate surroundings and you'll also discover more casual dining options offering a huge array of American and international favourites. Complimentary room service is included in the price of your cruise, and is available 24 hours a day for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Dine and Play is a service where Disney Youth Coordinators collect the little ones after a meal and take them off for fun and games, allowing parents to have some quality time together.
All onboard purchases are charged in US Dollars through your onboard account, which can be linked to your credit card. After completing the online check-in, you'll be able to access your boarding documents, while luggage tags are sent with your guest travel booklet before departure. UK guests will need a North American 110V plug adaptor. Wi-Fi packages can be purchased through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Every ship has a medical centre with daily clinic hours and a doctor and nurse available 24 hours a day. Self-service laundry facilities and dry-cleaning services are also available. Returning guests can enjoy benefits through the Castaway Club loyalty programme. Disney Cruise Line also offers accessible staterooms, wheelchair-friendly ships, pool lifts, accessible shore excursions and welcomes service animals.
Your cruise includes a fantastic selection of complimentary entertainment, including Broadway-style productions, Disney films, character meet-and-greets, deck parties and soft play areas. Most restaurants follow a Cruise Casual dress code, while seven-night cruises usually include one formal night, one semi-formal night and a themed evening. Shorter sailings feature an optional dress-up night, while some adult-only restaurants require elegant attire. Gratuities can either be prepaid or added to your onboard account before the end of your cruise, with additional service charges applied to bar, spa and selected onboard purchases. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas, with cleaning fees charged for smoking in staterooms or on verandas.
Disney Cruise Line caters for a wide range of dietary requirements, offering gluten-free, vegetarian, dairy-free and low-sugar meals. Dietary requests should be made at least three days before sailing through the My Reservations section of the Disney Cruise Line website, while Kosher and Halal meals require at least five weeks' notice. Guests may bring up to two 750ml bottles of wine or champagne or six beers at embarkation, although corkage fees apply if consumed in the dining rooms. The minimum drinking age is 21, although parents may complete a Beverage Consent Form for guests aged 18 to 20 on eligible itineraries. Complimentary 24-hour room service is available throughout your cruise.
Absolutely. Disney Cruise Line is designed with families in mind and offers dedicated facilities for every age group. The Oceaneer Club welcomes children aged 3 to 10, while the "It's a Small World" Nursery cares for children aged 6 months to 3 years (additional charges apply). Teenagers have exclusive spaces such as Vibe, alongside a teens-only spa. Families can also enjoy waterslides, splash zones, swimming pools, Disney-themed parties, live shows, cinemas, character experiences and children's menus throughout the ship. Most children's activities are included in the cruise fare, with only selected experiences, such as the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Royal Court Tea Party, carrying an additional charge. Cribs are available on request, and dedicated splash areas and family pools can be found across the fleet. Children must be at least 6 months old to sail, or 12 months on Transatlantic cruises.
Port Adventures are not included in your cruise fare and are available at an additional cost. You can browse and pre-book excursions through the My Reservations section of the Disney Cruise Line website up to three days before departure, giving you the best choice before you sail.
