The gastronomic delights you’ll savour on an A-ROSA river cruise are capable of satisfying the most discerning palate. A laid-back approach to dining means you need to observe the formal dress codes associated with many of the big cruise ships – what you will encounter is a pleasant casual approach, with signature gourmet buffets among the delicious fare on offer and the food perfectly showcasing the traditional cuisines of the countries you are visiting. You’ll have no trouble finding something to tantalise your taste buds, from amazing steak and chicken dishes to superb salads and vegetarian options. Dining venues on A-ROSA ships include outdoor restaurants where you can enjoy a relaxing meal on the deck in the open air. There are no set tables in the main restaurant on board your ship and you can dine at a time to suit you. If you upgrade to the Premium All-Inclusive programme an impressive selection of food and drinks will be included in the price, so you can forget about constantly monitoring your spending and get on with having a fabulous time. Many restaurants also have live cooking stations where you can watch the talented chefs preparing the scrumptious hot and cold dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The onboard currency is the Euro, with all purchases charged to your onboard account using your cabin key card and settled at the end of your cruise. Tickets are usually issued digitally after online check-in and may include printable luggage labels. You'll need a European two-pin plug adaptor for electrical devices. Complimentary Wi-Fi is included for guests on the Premium All-Inclusive programme. Laundry services are available for an additional charge, and medical facilities vary by itinerary, with a doctor onboard Danube Delta cruises and first aid supplies available on all other routes.
A-ROSA offers relaxed cruising with no formal dress code, although swimwear and shorts are not permitted in the restaurants. Evening entertainment includes live music, DJs and occasional guest performers. Gratuities are entirely at your discretion and can be given directly to crew members or placed in the reception gratuities box at the end of your cruise. Smoking is prohibited inside the ship, including cabins and balconies, but is permitted in designated outdoor areas. Guests with reduced mobility should contact Destination2Cruise before booking, as accessible cabins are not available and lift access is limited on most ships.
A-ROSA aims to accommodate guests with food allergies and special dietary requirements, provided these are advised at the time of booking. Guests should also speak to reception after boarding to arrange a meeting with the chef if required. Complimentary tea and coffee stations are available throughout the ship. Alcohol cannot be brought onboard at the start of your cruise, although guests aged 18 and over may bring up to one litre of alcohol per person onboard during the voyage after visiting ports.
