We just wrapped up a stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and despite running into a number of issues during our visit, I'm happy to give this place five stars. The bottom line: this is an outstanding value resort for families with kids. The theming is immersive and magical — our children were absolutely delighted from the moment we arrived. The larger family suites are a genuine perk for groups, the pools are fantastic, and the overall atmosphere captures that Disney magic kids love. For the price point, you get a lot of resort for your money. We did encounter several hiccups during our stay. What ultimately defined our experience, though, wasn't the problems themselves — it was how the resort responded to them. When we brought our concerns to management, the team was genuinely attentive and worked hard to make things right. I want to specifically call out Lamar from Philadelphia, who went above and beyond to assist us. He was helpful, professional, and clearly committed to turning our experience around. He took the time to address our many issues from the resort's end and made us feel heard and valued. People like Lamar are the reason we'd return. If you're traveling with kids and looking for great value, Art of Animation is an easy recommendation. And if anything does come up, rest assured the management team is ready to help.

We had a reservation for a little mermaid standard room, but when we got there we received a magical upgrade to the lion king suite. We were in building 10 on the first floor not too far from the main building. Getting that upgrade was amazing for the extra room. We had three adults and I rented a scooter so having the bigger room to charge the scooter in was amazing. We were only there for 3 nights but they came on the third day to clean and give us new towels. The only real complaint I have was with the dining area. It was always so busy, which I know they can't control, but every time we ordered something it was cold by the time we sat down. The food was ok. I highly recommend the pizza for the price alone. Never by individual pieces its cheaper to just get the whole pie and share. Also the cheeseburgers were pretty good. Overall, the experience was very positive. While we had a good time we preferred Pop century and probably wouldn't come back unless we have small children.

My favorite resort! After more than 20 visits, this is still the resort we always come back to. Art of Animation is like stepping into the imagination of the animators and it is incredible down to every detail. There's nothing like hearing "Welcome home" when you arrive -- and that's exactly what it feels like. The theming is immersive and gorgeous, featuring larger than life icons of favorite Disney animated movies. As an 80s baby, I really prefer the older movies and appreciate that the classics of The Little Mermaid and The Lion King are two of the movies featured. This is the very first resort we ever stayed in when my daughter was three (less than six months after it opened) and we stayed in the same room for her sixteenth birthday in October. We just returned from a long weekend in a Lion King family suite and it was absolutely amazing. I love the interior hallways, the beautifully painted murals, and the themed carpeting ushering you to your room. The room itself offered ample space for three generations, with three beds, two full bathrooms, and a kitchenette. It's the perfect size for when you want to be together, but two beds just doesn't cut it anymore. The attention to detail touches every corner of the space. Even the light fixtures on the ceiling are shaped like clouds! Of course, the service is impeccable. They remember us from past visits and when we checked in even asked if we wanted celebration pins for our upcoming anniversary. The food at the dining hall is also a highlight. As a gluten-free vegan it can be challenging to find food away from home that is actually satisfying and tastes good, but I don't have to worry about that at all when I'm here. There's an allergy-friendly ordering window where you can talk to the chef about your needs as well as several allergy-friendly options right on the menu. I can get meals, snacks, and treats all day. Another awesome feature of the resort is the Skyliner. Located between AoA and Pop Century, the Skyliner is fast, fun, and efficient transportation to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. I love to ride it around even if I'm not actually going into the park. It's gives beautiful views of the area and is a great activity for your arrival evening to get into the Disney mood! I've stayed in several Disney resorts of all types and I will always recommend Art of Animation!

We stayed at art of animation a little over a week ago and had an amazing time. And the magic began the second we walked in the door. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and our first visit to Disney with our two boys. Brian checked us in and he was amazing to work with and great with the kids. e even got our room upgraded to the car suite which was a great room for our family. We had so much fun on the resort with all the stuff to do and see. Best trip ever !

Upon entering the room, it was nice and clean. They even made Mickey heads out of towels and put them on the beds after our third day when room service came in. They turned those Mickey heads into bows room was always clean so nicely. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was nice. It was quiet even with lots of kids. They spent a lot of time in the pool, but you could not hear them best day ever.
