Comfort Suites Maingate East

I stayed at the Comfort Suites Maingate East recently, and while the breakfast was great and the rooms were very large (and mostly clean), the lack of basic service and maintenance was frustrating. The Shuttle Issue (Avoid if you don't have a car!) If you are booking this hotel specifically for the "shuttle service" to the parks, rethink it. The schedule is extremely inconvenient; out of my 8 transits to and from the parks, the schedule was only usable once. The "shuttle" itself is a very old school/army-style bus. The driver was rude and didn't even recognize the name of the hotel when I first spoke to him. If a hotel advertises a shuttle, it should be a functional, professional service—this was neither. Service & Room Maintenance Front Desk/Supplies: The service was disappointing. There was no regular coffee in the room, only decaf. When I asked the front desk for regular coffee, they said they didn't have any at all. They also couldn't provide a simple extra box of tissues. Elevator: In a 7-floor hotel, one of the two elevators was broken, making the one working lift incredibly slow. Cleanliness: Despite the room being large, the sink and toilet were dirty upon arrival. Pricing: Watch out for the lobby prices—$6.45 for a Gatorade is a bit much. The Verdict: The room size and breakfast are the only reasons this isn't a 1-star review. Between the non-existent shuttle convenience, broken facilities, and a front desk that can't provide coffee or tissues, I won't be staying here again.

This was our first stay here for our Family Disney vacation, and it was an absolute pleasant stay. Everything from the check in, to the room, to the cleanliness, the area, Everything was absolutely perfect. It's very close to Disney parks and the breakfast was great as well. We absolutely loved everything ❤️ We definitely recommend if you and your family are looking for an affordable stay for your Disney vacation. We booked a suite and it was so clean and comfortable. The beds were comfy and the shower had a great stream, after a long day at the park. The room was cleaned nicely and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We definitely will return again when we head out to Disney once again. Thank you all for a wonderful stay. Blessings from the Martinez Family. We had a great stay and were very happy with everything. Overall, this is a decent, good hotel with a nice atmosphere. The location is perfect—it is right in front of Old Town so you can just walk there. The parks are close too (Disney is about a 20-minute drive and Universal is around 30 minutes). The property is good for families and cleanliness was good. The room was big and decent, and having a microwave and coffee machine inside was great. We liked the breakfast, the gym was decent, and the free parking is a big plus. The pool is very good, and while the hot tub is nice, the chlorine was a bit too high. Conveniently, they also have an ATM and a shop inside where you can find Disney merchandise. However, a few things to note: Do not believe in the free shuttle. It is basically useless because the timings are very bad. Also, the check-in line was a bit long, and the service was mixed—our bathroom vent wasn't working, and even after we told them, they didn't fix it. Still, a decent stay overall.

I would not recommend this hotel. I booked and paid for a two queen bed suite with a sofa bed for two nights. Upon checking in I was put in a king bed suite which isn’t really a suite at all. I spoke to the manager who informed me they were all sold out of those type of rooms. How could they be sold out if I already prepaid for the room?!? Anyway the manager was not very helpful, she didn’t even try to make it right. I Had to ask her for some drink vouchers from the bar to which she replied she’d talk to the bartender about getting my wife and I one drink. There is one elevator for the whole hotel as the second one is broke so it takes forever! Upon entering the room we noticed a musty smell coming from the hallway and room. The room and hotel is nothing compared to the pictures online! The toilet in our room barely flushes, the pressure is horrible!! The shower looks dirty! I found a hair by the drain in the shower. To say the least I’m extremely disappointed!! Being that I booked this hotel through Priceline I doubt I can get my money or a portion of it back. This hotel is NOT worth 150 per night!!! I’ve stayed at hotels for a hundred dollars per night that are way better then this. I will not be staying at another Comfort Suites again! Here are just to pictures. The location of this hotel was great. It is close to all the things you want to go to get what you need like food or things at the dollar tree store. It was very convenient and close to the Disney park we went to and the drive and traffic wasn't as bad. The traffic gets bad later on in the evening. But other than that it was a pleasant location. The service was good during the breakfast time. The food was good the entire stay. It was never just your basic breakfast of just pastry and cereal. We never did check out the poolside daiquiri bar. It seems to be open more in the evening but we never had the time because we're tired already from all the walking. As far as rooms goes. We had to switch rooms because the shower head was dirty and the tub was like never cleaned with clorox or bleach. Pretty much the hotel is ok. Not perfect for everyone but always room for improvement.
