I don't recommend this hotel mainly because it's undergoing renovations. They've sold to Marriott group and renaming it as a City Express. The construction was very disruptive, and the Comfort Inn site only notes this at the bottom of the page in small print, so it's easy to miss. It seemed deceptive. The renovations caused many problems. The fitness room is gone because a limited breakfast is served there. Breakfast was eggs, sausage, muffins, juice, coffee, cereal, and apples. There was sliced bread, but no toaster. Are they renovating the toaster too? The construction crew crowded into this small room when I went down early. Once during the daytime, the workers set off the fire alarm, so everyone had to go downstairs to wait for an all clear. Then one afternoon, I walked into my room to see a worker on a crane outside my 4th floor window painting trim. There was no advance notice of this. The room itself was clean and modern, looking upscale for the price. The bed was uncomfortable, and there was no in-room coffee as promised on the webpage. The front desk staff was friendly. Any positives were outweighed by the construction, which made the property and my stay a disaster. Again, don't bother with this place. There are dozens of other hotels nearby.

Oh yea inspite of Classic Weekend for Famu and Bethune Cookman prices were better than expected. Breakfast was on point too. Great hotel if you want to be close to universal studios and the I Trolley. Free breakfast every morning we didn’t use everyday but was nice to have there. Maddie on reception was lovely always welcoming and friendly. My only small negative and it wouldn’t put me off coming back was the cleaning staff. They were all quite rude and didn’t seem interested in helping us with anything. One day they were coming with there cleaning trolley and just said move not even a please. There were several times they walked in on us in the rooms aswell rather than knocking and waiting it’s a shame as the rest of the hotel staff are really welcoming

Christina at the Comfort Inn Orlando truly went above and beyond and deserves a raise. After a hiccup earlier in our travel, she made sure we were completely taken care of and turned the experience around. My husband previously worked in the hotel industry, and even he was genuinely impressed by her level of care and professionalism. I truly hope her manager sees this because employees like Christina make all the difference. The property is currently undergoing some construction and a parking redesign, but it was still quiet, our room was very comfortable, and it did not impact our stay at all. We’re only here for one night after flying in, and we would absolutely recommend staying here despite the construction.

Save yourself.. DON'T DO IT! The corporate-owned location is less than 10 minutes away, and I wish I’d gone there instead. Don’t be fooled by the recent 5-star reviews. I stayed here for three nights in early August 2025 before finally saying enough is enough. I don’t even know where to start… Maybe with the pushy salesman camped out in the lobby, glaring at you if you decline his pitch or refuse to hand over your driver’s license. This is after spending the entire day outside in the heat, coming back exhausted, and just wanting to get to your room in peace. Or maybe we start with the rooms—foul-smelling from mildew, cigarette smoke, and dampness. The carpets were so disgusting I had to lay towels down just to walk on them. Then there’s the construction. Work started around 8 a.m., right as we were leaving for the day, but one night we didn’t get back until 7:30 p.m. and they were still going past 9 p.m. The noise was so bad I had to keep turning up the TV because it just kept getting louder. The air was thick with fumes from paint and whatever else they were using, making the whole area smell nauseating. And the workers? Constant yelling and loud conversations echoing through the halls. Overall, it was an unpleasant and uncomfortable stay—between the pushy lobby salesman, the late-night construction noise, and the overpowering chemical smells, I couldn’t wait to leave. P.S. Not that this is the most important thing, but brand loyalty usually means something. I’m a soon-to-be Platinum member, and the corporate-owned property nearby acknowledged it right away. They offered bottled water, cookies, and even tried to upgrade our room (though we declined because we needed the layout we booked). Here? Nothing. Zero recognition, zero welcome, zero effort.
