We stayed in a villa with a private pool and ocean view, and it was perfect. The resort is large, with villas scattered on the hillside. Golf carts are available to move around, which is very convenient. The breakfast is excellent, with delicious pastries. Dining at Pak Thai and a private candlelit dinner by the coral reef was incredible — food and service were impeccable. The spa and pools are beautiful and tranquil. The infinity pool has stunning views of the beach. Staff are friendly, welcoming, and very attentive. The beach itself is gravelly with rocks, so swimming is limited, but the overall resort experience is luxurious and relaxing.

We stayed here for 3 nights for the first stop on our honeymoon. Let me just say the staff was absolutely above and beyond. Every single interaction from gardeners, to buggy drivers, to the lobby, to housekeeping, to food service, to pool attendants and bartenders…we were always met with a big genuine smile and a willingness to help in any way possible. We used this leg of the trip to do basically nothing and relax after our wedding only a few days earlier and then lots of air travel. And relax we did. The resort was quiet, had lots to do, and melted our stress away. They also did some small thing for us each day because of our honeymoon which was a nice touch. We also really enjoyed the daily room cleaning. They would come in and organize our whole room and reset it which made coming back to our villa that much more relaxing. The AC in our room was very strong and was a nice reprieve to come back to each time. The ONLY thing to note was the bed was hard as a rock. It felt like we were sleeping on a slab of wood. We had two couches with long cushions so we ended up putting those on top of the bed and then could sleep. I saw that note about the beds in a few reviews and I love a firm bed so thought it would be ok but it was pretty rough until we did the cushion trick. Literally everything else was perfect though. You won’t regret it!

Incredible hotel. Amazing breakfast and restaurants in general. Especially recommend the ranch restaurant. Great pool but a bit crowded. Spa pool was amazing and quiet. Staff were unbelievable! I got my ankle hurt on a boat tour outside the hotel and the staff made a get well card for me which I appreciated.

I would give this hotel a 6-star review if I could. This was the best service experience I ever had. The Ritz-Carlton Koh Samui is a stunning ocean front resort with breathtaking views. It has been a while since was there (just before pandemics), but I will never forget the amazing service, food, location, rooms, etc.. Thailand is a beautiful country and the people are amazing. The Ritz Carlton in Koh Samui is a great place for a couple escape!

We stayed for a week in an ocean front villa in March 25. The pool villa was absolutely beautiful however the bed was ROCK hard, the most uncomfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. We had two mattress toppers and mountains of pillows but it was a nightmare. Breakfast is a free for all in a horrible room more like a cheap holiday camp. We avoided after first day and ate in our villa or off site. Try Cocoon just up the road. Amazing views and delicious breakfast. The staff are excellent and very friendly. Note that this is a huge resort so be prepared to wait around for golf carts whenever you want to go somewhere and when you return to the hotel. You cannot walk around the resort it’s too steep and distances too far unless you book a villa near pool or main restaurant area. This hotel has great potential but these areas need addressing. Unfortunately we won’t be returning until the beds have been replaced.
