We booked the “romantic rooftop dinner” through reception after seeing it advertised in the hotel, but no one explained it was actually a very expensive set package with no menu or pricing given in advance. We thought we were simply booking a table at the restaurant. When we arrived, we were seated without any explanation or menu, and food started arriving without us knowing what we were being served. Only after asking questions did we realise there had been a major miscommunication from the front desk. It honestly almost ruined our night and we were stressing about how to communicate this to our lovely waiter whose fault this wasn’t. That said, the restaurant staff handled the situation brilliantly. Arturo and Jesus were incredibly kind, professional, and understanding. They offered discounts, complimentary drinks and bread, and completely turned the evening around for us. The food was cooked beautifully and the service from the restaurant team was excellent. I would happily return to the restaurant itself, but I strongly recommend the hotel reception communicate these rooftop dinner packages properly and transparently in future.

Update: because of the mishaps the staff offered a couples mini massage and profusely apologized. Very nice of them Overall the staff was great especially Alejandro the bartender and the food and beverage wait staff. Second time to stay here. This time was for our 25th anniversary celebration. We were supposed to have champagne and cake in our room upon arrival. Wasn’t there. Came two days later. On our anniversary we had the do not disturb on the outside of the door. Room service knocked and then came in. Not good. There was also extensive noise all day as they were jackhammering on a property next door. Sounded like they were coming thru the ceiling. The picture on the hotel site showed a room with a balcony but that was not what we got Also we had to keep asking them to bring our two bottles of water to the room as housekeeping kept forgetting to leave us water. They will only give you two bottles per day. The cost to buy it there is 8 usd per bottle. We have been with Hilton for a long time. This is not Hilton’s standard.

Mixed review! The front reception area is very picturesque and clean. We stayed here 7 nights for a wedding. We got a junior suite so we could cook and prepare some meals to try and save some money. We did not have a single utensil or cookware. I went down to the front desk and you have to pay $40 usd for any kitchen ware. There are extra costs when you arrive as well. $10 usd a day and $238 pesos per person a day as well, environmental tax and other reasons. Our “garden view” is the photo I attached. There are no windows that open either, so the room was stuffy and smelt musty, your clothes and bathing suits take days to dry. Positives : The roof top is absolutely beautiful and if you like lounging by the pool, then this is why you would book here. The view from the rooftop beautiful as you can see the ocean and over look part of the town. The staff is very friendly as well. Location is prime if you want to be close to 5th avenue and the beach. Less then 5 min walk to the beach and the main strip. Breakfast is your typical continental breakfast, no complaints. Overall I would suggest getting a room with a balcony and save you money on the junior suite, it’s not worth it, and plan to spend the extra taxes when you arrive.

Firstly, Andres, the server at breakfast was amazing. The food and coffee were a great way to start the week - the eggs especially. The room, I think, for what we’ve paid, doesn’t have the sense of luxury I was expecting. It feels a bit worn and the decor is not updated. It’s all clean, but I guess I was expecting more. That being said; the staff have been brilliant and can’t do enough for you! On following days Julietta and her service during breakfast was exceptional. Lovely lady and made us feel very welcome!

I had one night at the fives downtown hotel and I wish I had more! I spent my afternoon and evening on the rooftop, enjoyed a cocktail and the mahi mahi and Rissoto, which were phenomenal! Outside of the great food and views, the service was phenomenal!! Nathan truly went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and ensure I was well taken care of! 10 stars for Nathan!
