I went to Cancun for a vacation with 12 members of my family, and the trip was more wonderful than we could have imagined. All of this was thanks to this amazing resort. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The restaurants were excellent and offered a luxurious dining experience. There were stunning views and plenty of comfortable places to relax. The food was absolutely delicious. The pools were beautiful, with fun activities available throughout the day. At night, there were many entertainment shows suitable for all ages. I can honestly say that this is a complete resort that offers exceptional value for money at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Management Made It Right — Overall a Good Stay I wanted to update my review because the hotel management was very accommodating and genuinely made an effort to address the issues we experienced during our stay. A special shoutout to Omar Lopez, the manager. He was extremely nice, professional, and took our concerns seriously. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of, and I really appreciate how he handled everything. Good management makes a huge difference when problems come up. The food at the resort is actually very good, and we enjoyed it throughout our stay. One small suggestion would be to open the coffee shop earlier in the morning. One thing I would recommend to future guests is to do your research and understand the difference between hotel star ratings and independently rated Diamond properties. We had previously stayed at Diamond-rated resorts, so our expectations for a resort advertised as five-star were based on those experiences. The standards and rating systems aren’t necessarily the same. There were some issues during our stay, but what matters is how a hotel responds when concerns are brought to their attention. Omar and the management team listened and worked to make things right. Overall, we ended up having a good time, enjoyed the food and property, and I appreciate the way management handled our concerns.

We had an amazing stay! The resort is beautiful, with stunning views, spacious suites, and a relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. A special thank you to the bartenders at the Lobby Bar—Johana, Luis, and Orlando. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive every day. Their great personalities and outstanding service made our evenings even more enjoyable. They always remembered our drinks, greeted us with a smile, and created a fun and inviting atmosphere. The staff throughout the resort worked hard to make our stay memorable, and we truly appreciated their hospitality. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for great service, beautiful accommodations, and a wonderful vacation experience. We can't wait to come back!

We are staying here travelling with our young baby, booked through Sunwing. This resort is poorly suited for families with infants. Our room had strong chemical odours from new furniture. Shortly after check‑in, our baby developed an allergic skin rash. The air‑conditioner makes extremely loud non‑stop humming noise all night, making it very hard for our baby to sleep. Turning off the AC leads to heat and heavy mosquitoes. The bathroom has no closing door at all, offering zero privacy for family use. When we raised our concerns, staff member Alejandra Cahuich kept telling us to contact Sunwing. Hotel management stated these room conditions are Sunwing’s responsibility because they were not listed on their website. Additional frustrations: the café and ice‑cream shop only open at 3:30 PM, which is impractical for families. Food quality is below standard compared to other major‑chain all‑inclusive resorts we have visited. The property looks large on the outside but many details feel unfinished. We hope sharing our real‑life experience can help other families set realistic expectations before booking. Updates: we met some travelers yesterday, asked about their experiences, all agreed this hotel is boring and has little activities compared to to other 5 star hotels in Cancun. Do not book any Grand hotels in future, time is limited, go somewhere else. Kid club is outdoor and only for 4+ above, infant time is only 1-3pm usually most baby’s nap time. Obviously they don’t want any baby to use the playground area. Another hotel Hollywood planet allows infant and family members to enter to play, and it is indoor. they have a same policy 4+, but more nice. We went to the indoor playground at Grand, the family time one, no one there in the morning, but still don’t allow baby to use. The toys are obviously for babies which is not make sense and lacking empathy. Defiantly a lier for “best for family”

We stayed at the grand sunset princess for 6 days. The stay was excellent, the territory, restaurants, pools, bars and staff were great. It was our first vacation with my partner and we both enjoyed how it went smoothly. However we spent so much time for check in. We arrived very early in the morning and were told that rooms will be ready by 3 pm, but we can check around 2:30 if it’s ready, that’s what we did and after were informed that they need another 30 min as the room not ready yet. We came at 3:10 pm to check in and there were a lot of people and we spent another 40 min waiting to just have a room keys. That was annoying. I understand that it’s not the hotel problem, but we were tired and just wanted to go to the room. Also nobody mentioned anything about the shows or the club that they had in the property. We founded out it from other guests who were staying there. The beach is beautiful, but seaweed all over it, also very rocky bottom, so we didn’t really swam in the sea, mostly in the swimming pools. Also be aware that so many sellers want to sell you some activities and going to Coco Bongo, we did 2 activities, but it was crazy how everyday they ask if you are ready to go. We also saw a lot of animals around the hotel, that was amazing to see how they feel comfortable to just walking around. Other than that, everything was good and we might be back.
