The room (5232) was terrible. We discovered a bathroom leak as soon as we arrived to our room - water had flowed from the ceiling behind the mirror and through the ceiling light fixtures to the floor into the main living area. We let front staff know about it but they didn’t do anything except dry up the water from the floor. We kept complaining throughout our 10 day stay but they didn’t do anything about it. No compensation. They did offer to have us change rooms on our 8th evening - we only had one full day left. It was too little too late by then. There was no hot water in the shower. The food is pretty bland and menu items limited. There is no fresh guacamole or pico de gallo at the buffet. At times the pepperoni pizza had slices of hotdog on it rather than pepperoni. Cats roam freely in the buffet area. If you’re allergic at all, good luck. Pool chairs are scarce. I’m pretty sure the ratio of chairs to people is 1:4. We had to bring down our deck chairs to sit somewhere/guarantee a place to sit. There are no pool umbrellas or tables to place your drinks. They are very short staffed and no pool staff on Sundays which made the lineup at the swing bar very long. At the women’s pool bathroom one of the two stalls was out of service during our stay. The other stall was backed up for two days which people were still using and was disgusting. The only place in the evening to enjoy a drink is the Black and White bar area. It’s extremely loud (music) and smoky from people smoking cigarettes outside which wafts into the bar area. It would have been nice to have a quiet area to enjoy a drink. The place is run down ie water leak stains/damage, broken tile and countertops in bathrooms, dirty floors, etc I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Avoid This Resort at All Costs – Complete Disaster I cannot stress enough how terrible this resort is. The food is awful, with a tiny and uninspired selection that makes every meal frustrating. Lunch staff were openly rude and dismissive, offering zero help or courtesy. On top of that, there is blatant discrimination — locals are allowed to treat tourists rudely and take advantage of paying guests, while actual visitors are ignored or mistreated. The ocean is dirty and disgusting, and there is no proper beach to enjoy at all. Guests are allowed to smoke everywhere on site, making it completely unsuitable for families. Every aspect of this resort screams mismanagement, disrespect, and neglect for guests. If you’re looking for a relaxing, family-friendly vacation with decent food and a clean beach, stay far away from this resort. This place is not worth a single penny. Pros: None worth mentioning.
Cons: Terrible food, rude staff, discriminatory treatment, dirty ocean, no beach, smoking everywhere, not family friendly, total mismanagement.

The resort is huge and beautiful. But not a 4 star Rooms: The rooms are also well kept. They had wifi, tv channels in spanish but good, Shampoo, body wash , fridge was stocked everyday , iron and basic hair dryer. but there is water damage in the hallways and beding though fresh but much older. Balcony locks , make sure you check as cuati are everywhere and smart. We had higher expectations and mainly cuati everywhere were not on our list. I think our room was better than Most people but it was more 3 star. Service: people are friendly , keep kids engaged , lots of activities to do. You will need transportation to go from one place to another. So be prepared for sun and mosquito while you wait for transportation. But the pathway is scenic and neat and clean. So service and peopke overall are very good staff as well. Food: I would stick to restaurant for food there is AC and Cuati do not come inside. The bar has lots of cuati running and touching guest food , so we didn't eat there. We did expect fresh juice, but I dont think it was. overall lots of varieties. Service was nice. Beach: Beach was very neat , nothing poked your feet but they didnt have any sea shells there too but the sand was beautiful. But we didnt! like the water it would leave a smell for days on your feet or wherever it touched you. They also had some pipes running in middle of the ocean so the view was not scenic. We didnt spent more than 1 hour at the beach during the entire stay. Pool: pool was clean , many activities , well kept. We spent our whole day there. Other: they had activities for kids too but it was around 8:30 to 9 so kids were too tired by that time. Also make sure to bring Mosquito spray, it is a must ! Do not encourage cuati or else you will have them in your room and following around you. I would give it a 3 to 3.5 star 🌟

I would not recommend this hotel. The food was very bland and difficult to enjoy, and it was hard to find anything flavorful to eat. Our room also had multiple bugs — one even went into my sister’s ear, and we found others that we had to kill ourselves. The bed sheets had stains, and the shower pressure was extremely weak. There was visible mold on the ceiling above the toilet, and every time we used the bathroom, water leaked down onto us. When we showered, the leaking was even worse. Throughout the night, we constantly felt itchy, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there were bed bugs as well. You have to wake up early to get chairs because there is almost none compared to the amount of people. Overall, the cleanliness, maintenance, and hygiene conditions were far below what should be acceptable for a resort. I don’t know how this hotel is a 4 star.

I stayed here for a week, booked through Sunwing. Upon arrival, I was offered a poolside room for an additional $500 USD. While the location itself was good, the experience was very disappointing and did not feel like a 4-star resort at all. There were no water bottles in our room when we arrived at 9:30 PM, and since the restaurants were already closed, we had nothing to drink. Despite calling several times, water wasn’t delivered until the following afternoon. Our room also had a roof leakage, which I reported three times—yet no maintenance ever came, and we were never offered a room change. The room stayed damp and moist the entire time, and I woke up every day with bug bites (though I didn’t see the bugs, they were clearly present in the bedding). The washroom was in terrible condition: broken showers, unclean surfaces, and black mold throughout. The overall cleanliness and upkeep were far below expectations, with no sense of quality or comfort in the rooms. Food was just average, nowhere near what I expected, and the drinks tasted cheap. Entertainment and activities were also lacking—there were no fun pool parties or much to do overall. I believe this resort might be more suited for older guests, but it’s definitely not the place for younger people looking for energy, fun, and a lively atmosphere. Also, if you are not comfortable with animals, this resort may not be for you—there are raccoons and cats roaming around, often jumping onto tables. Overall, this was not worth the money, and I would not recommend it if you are expecting even a proper 4 or 5 star experience.
