All the staff is really friendly and hospitable, the food is delicious great chefs, cooks and most importantly the waiters and severs were very accommodating. The bell boys are very quick to get you transport to where ever you need, very informative as well. Animation team does a very good job we had a lot of fun playing water polo with Ariel. Now to my favorite part THE BARS! maaannnn best bar tenders they will make any drink you want just how you want it. If you do visit look for Alfredo he’s one of the best tell him Cristian says hello. Me and my wife will definitely be back.

First, I would like to give a special thank you to Efrain de Valdez, Javier Couoh, Leonor Hul, Apolinar Dzib, and Hernan Hernandez for their spectacular service. You all made our experience even better with your warm, friendly hospitality. I pray that people are appreciative of your services and your smiles. Thank you!! Second, the food was subpar all around. The best food we had was at the steakhouse. The poor service we received from the Sports Bar was very strange. The guy was very impatient especially for our first time arriving and the food was not good at all. The staff at the main buffet and the beach buffet were very accommodating and kind, although the beach buffet was not that tasty either. Paco’s Tacos was good and we finally found some good drinks because the other restaurants did not have good options. The service from the beachside bar was so rude. They don’t even acknowledge certain people and you just stand there while other people are being helped. I give 1 stars for the hotels recommendation to use Barcelo Vaccaciones to book our excursions. We booked a package and they did not inform us our arrival time for pickup had changed so 7 women all dressed up and ready to have fun missed the transportation to our excursion. It was extremely disappointing and the fact that they didn’t care or even try to accommodate us was the worst part. Not only did we spend money, but we took time from our families to plan our trip to a T and we were let down. It really put a damper on things. I highly do not recommend booking with BARCELO VACCACIONES for your tours and activities. Book directly through the companies. We were in building 21 which is far from the main lobby but close to all the pools. So pick your preference. Our room service was great, providing us with fresh towels and a clean room everyday before our return. The grounds are beautiful, but you have to love nature to appreciate its beauty. Lots of monkeys, iguanas, meerkats, etc everywhere. Personally, I was terrified but it was still cool to see. Would I stay at this resort again, probably not, but I am excited to explore its sister properties. Thank you Cancún for having me.

We had a really great vacation there overall. The biggest disappointment was the buffet food. A lot of the food wS cold when it should be hot or hot when it should be cold. The oriental and Italian restaurant was really good. The rooms were ok. We had to book two rooms since we are a family of five and were out in different floors. The staff was super friendly. The grounds are beautiful, just a lot of walking. Tons of wildlife, which we loved.

We were very lucky to waited on by a group of wonderful staff at most of our breakfast and lunches at the main buffet; Efrain De Valdez, Javier Couoh, Leonor Mul, Apolinar Dzib, Hernan Hernandez and at the Steak house Rigoberto Perez Ramirez. They all made our dinning experiences very special and memorable. Our group also really enjoyed the staff at Pacos Tacos. Although the overall experience was great, there were a few not so great moments, unfortunately the snack bar was not our best experience. The food at the snack bar was okay at best and the person waiting on us was a little snappy. The pool did close early, but there were activities later in the night that made up for it.

This was our first time at Barcelo Occidental Xcaret, and it was amazing! The rooms were very roomy to large, and fully stocked for the kids, missus and I. The rooms were air conditioned as well. Super cold but worth it! The wait staff at the Royal Restaurant were amazing! Alberto, Daniel, Samuel, and Raqel (manager) made every day and meal a memorable one. Super attentive, very kind, and always looking out for our best interests. There are no reasons for us not to come back!!
