I stayed at the Renaissance SeaWorld hotel back in 2018 (pre-COVID) and had a very positive experience. At the time, I was impressed by the beautiful building, friendly staff, high quality of service, and overall amenities. Unfortunately, returning this year with my family during winter break was a completely different—and very disappointing—experience. The property now feels poorly maintained. The rooms had smelly carpets, bathrooms were old and outdated, and overall cleanliness was far below expectations for a Renaissance hotel. On top of that, several staff members were rude and unhelpful, which was surprising given my previous experience and the brand standards. We were charged a resort fee for a non-heated water park, but the water was ice cold and unusable for kids during winter. We were also surprised by an extra $50 per night fee for connected rooms, which felt excessive. Most disappointing was the complete disregard for Marriott Bonvoy loyalty—staff explicitly stated that “no matter what tier you are in with Marriott,” it made no difference. This is simply not the same hotel it used to be. Our stay was frustrating from start to finish, and unfortunately, we will not consider returning. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as this property has clearly declined significantly over the years.

I booked this stay while visiting and was initially comfortable with my stay. The room was clean and nice but there was very dim lighting. It does not look the same in person as online. I noticed the beds were very stiff and borderline hard. Luckily after staying at theme parks from open to close made us not notice. The staff was overall friendly and very professional. Whoever answers their listed resort number does not seem to care for their job. She provided little assistance when needing help with shuttle service. My biggest disappointment came after a day of Disney with my son to find that our elf on the shelf had been taking from our room. He was left in the bathroom hanging with a little piece of tape from the ceiling. I spoke with staff and told them it could have possibly fallen. There was nothing in the trash so I’m sure it was not thrown out, but taken. I was credited for it because it “may have been thrown away”. I’m sure they won’t even question the person who cleaned my room today. What was worse is the one item in the trash along with our elf was thrown away but not the half eaten bowl of cereal on the desk. The towels brought in did not appear to be clean. I called the front desk back to tell them I didn’t want anyone else in the room and the one nonchalant person that usually answers just said ok and hung up. Did not even get my room number. We’re 5 days from Christmas and I won’t even be able to finish our tradition. I have to make up something to appease my son on why he won’t be here the next few days.

I had a really great experience at this hotel. It has a huge atrium with restaurants and cafes and feels luxurious in the atrium with palm trees. The pool is really good and cooled me down in the hot summer day when I stayed at this place back in July 2025. We were only at this hotel for about 20 hours before leaving and we've rented two rooms to have two people each in these rooms. The staff are really friendly and they even parked the car we hired for us and returned it to us as we leaving. Would highly recommend going to this hotel.

Very much enjoyed our stay this past weekend. The hotel is very nice. There's multiple places to dine from. The breakfast buffet would have to be my favorite. The restaurant area was very cute and clean. The buffet was fantastic. The food variety was great. The staff kept the buffet stocked with fresh food. There was someone making custom omelets. I went for the biscuits and gravy and my goodness, it was wholeheartedly the best biscuits and sausage gravy I've ever had. I couldn't believe it came off a buffet line but gosh dang it was so savory. There was also a great selection of pastries and fresh fruit and even fresh honey comb. The area to watch the ball game was great. All 3 bars were clean and the bartenders were friendly and prompt. Starbucks onsite was great as always. The pool area was spacious and clean. Unlike most hotels, the pool was open until midnight; thats cool. There was a pool table, ping pong table, giant chess, corn hole, a toddler swim area with a kids slide. Super cool outdoor amenities. I cannot wait to come back with my kids as this hotel is conveniently located directly next to sea world. The room was ok. Bed was a tad uncomfortable but it was clean and quiet. Ac worked great. Bathtub should be refinished but the water temp and pressure were fantastic. Again, very clean. Be sure to pack supplies, tooth brushes and tooth paste, meds, snacks and what not as the store there is very expensive. Toothbrushes were $8-$18 and tooth paste was $14. Tylenol was $18+. The pricing was off putting but I guess that the price of convenience. Hotel is right next to sea world, 10 minutes from Andretti speedway, 15 minutes from IKEA, 20 minutes from Disney Springs, 35 minutes from Silver Spur Arena.

I booked this hotel through Priceline at the last minute for one night! The price seemed too good to be true! Upon check in I was told that the parking was free for the night because they had an event! They put a 100.00 incidental fee on my credit card which I thought was a lot it’s usually 50.00. The bill was all ready prepaid upon booking but I was told that I would have to pay a 53.00 in hotel fees and taxes which I thought would be deducted from the 100.00 . Upon leaving I realized that I needed a ticket to exit the parking so I went to the desk and asked for a ticket to exit since it was supposed to be free! She gives me a ticket and tells me that it would probably be charged to my credit card! Lo and behold I see an additional 93.00 added to my card, so now my card has been charged 193.00! Upon returning home I contacted customer service and they did remove the 100.00 incidental fee and they credited me the 42.00 parking fee which is ridiculous ! I’m complaining because this whole situation took almost a week to resolve and my account was affected! We ate at the Boardwalk restaurant! I had the pulled pork fries but the pork tasted old, my husband had the wings which I tasted and they were horrible! My cousin ordered some garlic fries which came about 15 minutes after our food! I don’t recommend this hotel at all! I have stayed at much better hotels in Orlando!
