Mayra at the front desk was absolutely delightful! The joint rooms were both incredibly spacious and were perfect for what we needed. However, it would be nice for the carpets to be steamed cleaned and the rooms renovated. It smelled moldy and I had a runny nose while in the room, but not to the point where I was wheezing. The grounds and amenities were wonderful and I would certainly stay there again.

We enjoy the location and the amenities that Calypso Cay has to offer…..but the customer service is disappointing. As capital vacation owners, this resort is the least accommodating and lacks professionalism. When we checked in our room wasn’t ready, which wasn’t a big deal but we were headed to seaworld, I ask them if it was possible to store a bag of cold food items in their fridge and they said yes. I got a call about 45 mins later the room was ready and they were going to put the bags in our fridge. 10pm at night we arrive to the room from seaworld and have nothing in the fridge and the front desk argued that the manger specifically was present when they were put in our fridge. I guess a ghost came in and took them? No resolution either, we’re just out of luck with 4 kids and no groceries. Also we had housekeeping ring our doorbell repeatedly at 10:15am because she thought we were checking out and we weren’t. 20 mins later maintenance is ringing the doorbell too, and then said never mind when we answered. Silverlake resort has always been professional and we’ve never dealt with these isssues there. The manager at Calypso offered no resolution and basically just said I’m out of luck. Beautiful property with lousy management.

It was fine. It was more an AirBnB style than an actual resort. The only “resort” type “amenities” are the pools which are just okay. The slides are not really that fun for kids. Rooms are outdated and furniture is very old. Also 2 nights in a row we had an issue with kids screaming outside till 4am. Only positive thing was how close it is to all the parks and Disney Springs.

We love this property! It is a home away from home; everything you need and more! Its very convenient to the ESPN Center for cheer comp, Walmart, shopping and Disney. The staff have been pleasant each time we've stayed. This is our second year staying at this resort! We will most definitely be back!

We enjoyed our 4 night stay! We stayed Sunday through Thursday and it was not crowded! 5 pools and it was so peaceful! We enjoyed making slime and clay creations with Chasity, tay, and Chris! They also gave us a scavenger hunt and it was so fun! They were amazing and so kind! They really go over and beyond coming up with activities for kids! They also do movie nights by the pool from 8:30-10pm! Amazing places for kids and everyone is so friendly! Highly recommend! We will be back soon!
