I barely write reviews but I thought this was worth sharing. We stayed at the Mandarin Oriental for the first time in Marrakesh. Our stay was for 10 nights and we honestly couldn’t fault this hotel. The staff are attentive, polite and always willing to help. The hotel is very clean and well looked after with rooms/villas being thoroughly cleaned daily. The breakfast options were great and the food at breakfast and at Ling Ling and Shirvan was delicious. My child started going to kids club mid way through the trip and loved it so much due to Salma’s care and kindness, he kept asking to go back every day. He enjoyed baking cookies and doing a range of arts and crafts with the other children. We had a great stay at MO Marrakech and we would visit this hotel and other MO hotels in the group in the future. P.S. I already miss waking up to the sound of the resident chickens in the morning, it really is the smaller, quirkier things that make a hotel special. Thank you for a great stay!

We had a truly delightful stay at the Mandarin Oriental in the luxurious 2 bedroom villa. and our expectations were completely exceeded. The villas are spectacular, and the staff do a fantastic job of keeping the grounds pristine and beautiful. Of course, no hotel achieves such high acclaim without a phenomenal team to match; every staff member we encountered was incredibly personable, genuine, and highly attentive. A special thank you goes to Mousabe, who truly knows how to deliver masterclass 5-star service. He has a gift for making guests feel uniquely special and deeply looked after. We also want to give a massive, well-deserved shout-out to the entire outdoor service team at Hakkasan. While we unfortunately forgot their exact names but, I did note down Abellatif who took great care of my family, we dined outside many times during our stay, and every single waiter who looked after us provided nothing short of exemplary service. They were profoundly attentive, welcoming, and anticipated our needs. The tent is also a fantastic feature it is run flawlessly and adds the perfect vibrant, social element to the evening. We honestly cannot wait to return. A massive reason for our upcoming return is the opulent service and the incredible chefs who went completely out of their way to accommodate our personal preferences. Thank you to the entire Mandarin Oriental team -we plan to see you again soon!

Our stay at Mandarin Oriental Marrakech was extremely disappointing and far below the standards one would expect from a luxury hotel. The most upsetting part of our stay occurred during a private hammam treatment that I had specifically booked. As a woman who wears the hijab, privacy is extremely important to me. Yet only 10 minutes into my treatment, two male hotel guests entered the treatment room while I was exposed. I was shocked, embarrassed, and immediately left the room. This should never be possible during a private treatment. What made the situation even worse was the hotel's response. I was simply told that they did not know how this could have happened. The apology felt insincere, and there seemed to be little understanding of how serious and distressing this incident was. The incident left us so uncomfortable and disappointed that we decided to leave the hotel within the same hour rather than continue our stay. Unfortunately, even before this happened, we had been disappointed by the food. The breakfast buffet was very limited, lacked freshness, and was tasteless. The same can be said for lunch, dinner, and room service. The food throughout our stay was well below the standard expected from a luxury hotel. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. In particular, I would strongly advise hijab-wearing women and anyone who values privacy to think carefully before booking spa treatments here. A private treatment should guarantee privacy and security, and in my case it did not. We left feeling disappointed, unheard, and far from the luxury experience we had paid for.

Really beautiful hotel and the staff were lovely. Only downside was the bugs. When I got into the room there were about 7–8 flies and some big mosquito-like insects, and I noticed a few dead ones on the floor and desk too. I get that it’s because of the surroundings, but if you’re not good with bugs, just something to be aware of.

I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at such a luxurious and world class hotel while still being made to feel so welcome. The energy is “whatever you want, we will make it happen” and they do it happily and professionally. Our butler, Yusef, went above and beyond time and time again to make sure we were taken care of and had a great experience. The food is incredible and the villas are next level. We loved our time here.
