Had a great trip to Barcelo. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids from Toronto Canada, stayed a week all inclusive (Oct 31 to Nov 7). Overall had a great experience. Food was plenty and good variety (local tagines, charcoal grill bbq, international food). The city was 100 local currency away which was 15mins. Barcelo was very quiet, calm and get relaxing getaway. The hospitality from the staff was well felt starting with Zouhair. He was fantastic, passionate about his job and helping people. A great asset to the Barcelo team. The resort was very well spread out. Well maintained and very nice greenery. The pool was fantastic with a great setup at Breeze for snacks (thanks Hasan and Mohamed). The main dining was at L'Oliveraie which was buffet and had a good spread for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was always a pleasure to see AbdulNur. I would go back in the future and highly recommend for travelers to Barcelo! A great property and team

Zouhair, the guest Manager was very helpful with any required assistance. The hotel is amazing, service from all colleagues was excellent. The food was great, drinks kept flowing. More than happy with our stay. Being a lady with 100 outfits for a one week stay I could of done with more wardrobe space in the room as only very two small draws, but the hotel, grounds, food, drinks, atmosphere and colleagues superseded the need for another draw or two! Super happy and my son has said he wants to move here!!

Grounds are very nice and well kept. Some staff was a bit abrupt and not so friendly. Food was average. Room okay, but our shower drain was plugged so there was water coming out of the bathroom. Half the buildings are good, the other half needing repair or bring repaired. Price to high for property in current condition

We booked with Jet2, which was quite good value for money for staying at such a nice hotel with half board included. It’s located just outside of Marrakesh, away from the hustle and bustle, but only a short ride going in the centre, either with free shuttle bus or 100MAD one way taxi. The hotel ground is beautiful, room blocks/landscape are designed to fit in the environment of the area, the room itself is a bit on the small side but enough for 2 adults and a toddler. The newer rooms are further away, but the reception was kind and changed us to a ground floor and closer (older) room because we don’t want to carry the pushchair up and down the stairs every day. Baby cot was very comfy for our toddler, even though it took a while to arrive despite we requested with Jet2, I did appreciate the housekeeping team was working in the heat so couldn’t complain. Air conditioning in the room is godsend and technician arrived quickly when it was not working at one night. Facilities are very kids friendly, what’s better than two pools to spend a lot of time in with a toddler every day? - The kids club! It has a lot of activities for both toddlers and older kids to do with/without their parents, they can also babysit for a charge. Food was tasty, including the buffet breakfast, light lunch at the breeze bar and the buffet dinner, a great range of selection and a good mix of Moroccan food and international cuisine. However, I reckon the most valuable asset of the hotel is its friendly and helpful staff, we love that everyone we met were welcoming and smiley, including the reception, bellboys, housekeeping, maintenance, catering, big thank you to all of them who provided excellent service. The one thing that I’m not 100% happy was that we were overcharged 600MAD for services that we didn’t used, good job we noticed this when we asked to pay for the bill prior to checkout. The receptionist kindly sorted this out for us eventually, but it was a long wait and a bit inconvenient.

This hotel is tranquil and most relaxing resort within easy traveling distance to the city’s hustle and bustle and all the historic sights. The staff are incredibly attentive and polite, every single one of them will welcome you with the warmest smile at any time. We loved the local cuisine with plenty of tagines and vegetables to choose from. We had most restful week here and are already looking forward to returning! Barcelo- please don’t change anything! 🫶🏻
