The hotel itself is nice and in a good location, and most things about the stay were fine. The staff were very nice, and the room was clean. Each morning when we left for breakfast, the room was properly cleaned and well maintained. Unfortunately, I felt really unwell during my stay. I ate only at the hotel to avoid any issues, as I trusted the food there, but I still became ill. Because of this, I lost two full days of my holiday as I was unable to leave my room. While the hotel looks good overall, the food hygiene did not appear to be great. I also noticed that some glasses and cups were dirty. When I pointed this out to staff, they did not seem to understand what the issue was. Normally I would not say anything, but after spending two days confined to my room being sick, I felt it was important to mention it. What also let the experience down was the lack of support from reception when my partner informed them that I was very unwell. There was no check-in or offer of help. Because of this experience, I would avoid staying at this hotel again.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to the main square and the souk. The food was very good and plentiful. The drinks were also good with two bars inside plus a pool bar. There are 2 outdoor pools, both heated. And the spa was an extra treat.

This is a very well run hotel. The fact that the new year celebrations started with recognition of each department of the staff summed up how this is a team effort - it's unusual to see such consistency across all parts of a hotel offering this value. Just wanted to mention the gym and the exercise classes. It's a well-maintained and medium-size gym set in the gardens. The gym itself is usually quiet, and there's a daily programme of classes on a platform above the gym run by a well-qualified and friendly instructor, Issam. The sessions are small so it's almost like having a personal trainer, and there's no need for any level of fitness or experience. We also used the main pool daily, which is comfortable for a swim - the steam coming off it confirms it's heated but can't expect miracles in winter! An extra bonus here is that after a workout, it's fine to enjoy one or two extra pastries at dinner (all the food is excellent, but the pastry chef's skill is amazing!)

The service from every member of staff at this hotel is attentive professional and consistent. The food is excellent quality made fresh and so many choices for everyone. The room attendants are extremely thorough providing anything you need. The entertainment team are the best I have experienced in a long time Michael and Zac speak to ALL guests and provide you with any information you need on what's going on in the hotel Kabir the customer relations manager will also provide you with any information you need she helped me out on a few occasions and gave me her busy time without question. If you are looking for a hotel in the centre of Marrakech and require 5 star quality then this is the place for you.

First impressions of the hotel were really good and the staff are all very polite and lovely. As we arrived after the restaurant had closed they kept it open for us with a small selection available to be able to eat after a long journey, which was nice. The sunbeds are a bone of contention. The hotel states that you cannot reserve beds and anyone that does will have their towels removed. This doesn't happen, so if you want a bed by the pool be prepared to get up early or wait for something to become available. Having said that, as long as you don't mind not being by the pool there are beautiful gardens that have lots of loungers dotted around the place. The food was disappointing there was no cohesion to the dishes being put together and on themed nights, the food was quite bizarre. We had a seafood night but there were only 3 dishes on offer! Fried fish (which was there every day anyway), salmon and a seafood stew, which was only luke warm. The chefs dish of the day was braised beef and mash potatoes, on seafood night....! They say the sheets are changed once per week but ours weren't, so we had to request they be changed after 9 days. I personally wouldn't go back to this hotel, and even people that had been going there for years said this is the worst it's been.
