Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort

The good: pool water temp was excellent, arcade was brand new, location is prime for other off-property activities, and service met and exceeded expectations for the most part. The bad: most activities are paid - down to the lazy river tubes - and this gives you the feeling of being nickel and dimed. My specific location in West Village was also far away from the stuff my kids wanted to do, so for on-property activities it was not convenient. The ugly: the room I got was really gross. And room cleanliness is the most important factor to me. Overall: wasn't a fan to be honest. Was here for a 4 day 3 night stay as part of a promotional package. When we first got there, trash was left on the front lawn. My whole suite smelled musty, and there were stains of different kinds on the walls and on the carpet. There were streaks on everything, and there was a bent golf club on our patio randomly. I kept my shoes on and aired the place out, and that went a long way. Then the internet wasn't working, so they had to send a guy out. Again, I'm on vacation, so small gripes really. But just annoying. The next morning, for whatever reason, there was a guy right outside my window mowing the lawn. Not once, but on two separate days. Now this is an unforced error, big time. Cutting the lawn in the early morning when people are on vacation? What are they thinking? Anyways, this place was probably great 15 years ago. Right now it is tired, and has definitely seen better days. We stayed at the Cocoa Beach property a few years ago, and I recall it being much better in terms of room quality. Even if Orange Lake would still provide a good experience for most people in a better room, they should take a little better care of their flagship property across the board.

We had a 2 br villa in the high rise at river island and it was spectacular! Great to be right in river island with the lazy river and heated pools right there. Its also right by the fun zone and we used the playground inside that was not an extra charge. Loves all the pool bars, and options to eat and for ice cream right in river island! The room was beautiful, clean and updated. The staff were all very friendly and quick when we needed accommodations. Its right by a Publix and right across the street from lots of restaurants. Highly recommend! (we traveled with a 1 and 3 y/o and it all worked out great!)

My husband and I absolutely love this resort. Love to come here for years to come. There are many pools and hang out areas, the water's edge has a hot tub and hammocks dance parties and karaoke tiki bars, nice and secluded with palm trees, beautifully stunning villas with back patios, lots of water, very large lazy river, water slides, and I hear water sports but I never got to that during the wonderful vacation we had. There's a full golf course. Miniature golf, and the center for purchasing tickets for outings. !!!!!

I have had my fair share in hotels but I was very disappointed with this resort. The first room we were assigned, the key didn’t work. Which I understand happens but then we went back to the front. We were told that we were in a different room because that key did not work. I walked into the room pretty pleased it looked nice with all the pictures on the wall and everything. Everything was included which is always a bonus but after just one night of rest, I was very uncomfortable. The beds felt very firm but what made my family and I choose to leave this resort after one day. We returned our hotel after a day of fun and were welcomed with a cockroach in a bowl. The cockroach was still alive and moved. My family took the bowl to take a picture to send to the front…and they was another roach underneath. We called and they were practically refusing that could even possibly happen. We waited to move rooms and told they would call and ended up just refunding. When people come out here to spend their money and spend their time getting here, the least that could be done for them is a clean area to rest. Anyways if anyone reads this I hope you have a great vacation. But Universal and Disney Resorts are the way to go.

We had such an amazing time! The resort is fun, relaxing and beautiful ❤️ our future plan is to be Signature owners there. There are so many perks! We'd love to give a shout to Carlos from Puerto Rico, the shuttle driver! Thank you for helping us around and giving me us all of the insight! You are full of personality and made ride enjoyable. We'd also like to shout-out Moriah! She was our representative who gave us our tour! She looked professional and educated us about the timeshares! She did an amazing job job and made us very comfortable! We look forward to being a part of the beautiful timeshares there! My boyfriend and I came to celebrate my 40th birthday. It was the best birthday ever!
