Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando

The location (10 min walk to city walk and universal studios) was wonderful. Or a short boat taxi ride. Hotel is clean and service was outstanding. The pools were warm, clean, and spacious with plenty of room for many swimmers. On site dining was high priced but delicious with attentive and friendly wait staff. Overall would stay here again.

Stunning grounds and view, this hotel was wonderful. We stayed as a family of 5 and brought in a cot. It fit well. Comfortable beds, beautiful view. My only wish was for an included breakfast and accessible vending machine or quick purchase drink option. Very easy to get to the parks!

I honestly can’t imagine staying anywhere else when visiting Universal Orlando. From the second we pulled in, it didn’t feel like Florida anymore. The architecture, the waterfront, the music playing outside, the little cafés, the boats… it really does feel like someone picked up a tiny piece of Italy and dropped it next to Universal. The biggest reason I booked here was the Unlimited Express Pass that’s included with your stay, and I can confidently say it completely changed the trip. Being able to walk onto ride after ride instead of spending most of the day in lines made the hotel worth it by itself. I managed to ride an unbelievable amount across Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure because of it, and it took so much stress out of planning. Add Early Park Admission on top of that and I could in 2-3 rides before the rest of the crowds came in. The water taxi ended up becoming one of my favorite parts of every morning. Walking down to the dock while the sun was coming up, hopping on the boat, and pulling into CityWalk was such a relaxing way to start the day. It sounds like a small thing, but it really sets the tone for the whole experience. After walking miles in the parks, getting to sit on the boat ride back in the afternoon was something I looked forward to. The room itself was comfortable and quiet, and had plenty of space to spread everything out after long park days. The beds were comfortable enough that even after spending all day walking around Universal, I actually looked forward to coming back and relaxing. The staff was excellent throughout our stay. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and seemed happy to answer questions. Check-in was smooth, transportation was easy to understand, and everything felt well organized from beginning to end. Without question, this will be my first choice the next time I visit Universal Orlando.

My sister, a dear friend and I booked a quick trip to Portofino to use our season passes at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. The Express passes drew us to Portofino and we were so impressed and delighted with all the amazing people, beautiful surroundings and lovely amenities this resort had to offer. We were treated so well and felt so pampered and safe! The boat to the parks was such a wonderful thing too!! Our room keys were our ticket to short lines and cool indoor spaces with shade and ac. Back at the resort the hot tub was gorgeous and movies were playing out by the pool! The Italian atmosphere was stunning. The food and cafe ambiance was just perfect! The staff treated us well and even sent my sister a little treat for her birthday!! We loved the room too! We will come back again soon!!

Great place. Obviously perfect location and the scenery is beautiful. Staff for checking in, luggage service and universal tickets was a blessing during the morning. During the night luggage services also a helpful sir. Unfortunately had to get to the main counter to ask a genuine question we had and was met with a man eye rolling not very nice lady at true desk furthest to the right.
