The location is wonderful, a quick boat ride to magic kingdom. I have stayed at the Poly, and to compare, the waterfront restaurant at the Wilderness has a better view of the water, a real missed opportunity for the poly. However, the room was worn. The drawers and cabinets in my room were broken. I woke in the morning to take a shower and had to wait 20 minutes for luke warm water. While I can understand this could happen, it certainly spoils the idea of a "deluxe" resort. The pool is nice, the water slide is small but a nice addition. The food here was just okay, the grade of Chili's but twice the price. Don't bother with cocktails, they are just juice, instead stick to wine or beer. Overall this resort is nice, but doesn't live up to the deluxe experience it advertises. The staff here were great, very friendly and upbeat. Still a good place to stay, but realize the rooms will be more worn than a holiday inn. Disney really ought to stay on top of maintenance. I was given a "premier" room, my balcony looked at a wall of bushes. The expensive view is apparently not for those premier rooms.

Just finished up mine and my husband's honeymoon! It was truly a wonderful experience. We had waited eight years to get married let alone have this trip shortly after. It was a beautiful quiet resort with wonderful value for your money. We spent so much time in the lounge and had an amazing meal at the outside restaurant. However a true shout out should be made to Tim the cast member working at Bell Services. From our first day he remembered us and what we were celebrating and was so helpful to us from check in to check out. We hope to return soon. Thank you all so much for making our once in a lifetime moment even more magical!❤️

Updating to 1 star as we found bugs in our room but I would give it 0. It isn't even the first day we found bugs. I let it slide early on because it's Florida and bugs happen. But 3 days of bugs is ridiculous. So upon moving rooms, they moved us away from our lovely park view room to a pool view room. Ok fine... the balcony doesn't work. Customer service is definitely not their strong suit. As a diehard Disney fan, it's so sad to write this review. My husband and I chose to switch to this resort from the Grand Floridian. What a terrible mistake. The service has been hit and miss at best. For a concierge level room, I expected much better than what we have received. It was his first trip and our 5th anniversary. At least Heather, one of the supervisors attempted to make it right. Our room wasn't ready by check in time. And multiple days in a row our room wasn't cleaned when we got back in the late afternoon. This was after housekeeping woke me up in the afternoon to assure me it would be done between 11 and 2. When it wasn't done until 4, I spoke to a rather unhelpful lead named Kathy who seemed to make it seem like it was my fault they didn't get their work order system updated with their own note. I was assured it will be done in a more timely manner for the rest of our stay. Doesn't do much for us since we are leaving after one more night. Overall, if you don't mind inconsistent service in a nice looking hotel with decent food and a cute boat service to Magic Kingdom, by all means stay here. Personally, I don't think I'll be making a return visit. For as many missteps that have been made, I would think a club level staff member would be attempting to make this special occasion a bit more magical.

Been going to Disney World since 1980 and have stayed at a lot of the resorts, including the campground, Polynesian, Port Orleans (Riverside & French Quarter), Pop Century, All Stars Music, Boardwalk, and Wilderness Lodge. As much as we want to try new resorts, we just can’t…we end up hanging out at the Lodge. It’s hard to describe, but for us, it feels like home. It’s not the fanciest, or closest, but it’s like that super comfortable pair of jeans that you keep coming back to even though you have a nice new pair.

We did not stay here or eat here. We just wanted to see it. We took Disney bus to the resort and then took a boat from the resort to Magic Kingdom. That was the most amazing thing. The lake around Magic Kingdom is huge and you can get boats from all the Resorts to the Theme Park. This is a must and it costs nothing.
