This was the worst hotel experience our family has ever had. We paid a premium to stay at Disney’s Polynesian expecting top-tier service and cleanliness. Instead, our vacation turned into a nightmare. On day one, Bell Services lost our rented strollers, causing us to miss Early Entry. Later that same day, we were subjected to an aggressive and humiliating security encounter that involved forcing us to unpack both of our small children, including our baby. The next morning, we woke up to a severe ant infestation. Ants were on my three-year-old son’s pillow and bed, all over the floor, and in the bathroom. This was a clear health and safety issue. I began calling Guest Services and called repeatedly over nearly two hours. No manager returned my calls. No housekeeping or pest control came. When we returned around 1:00 p.m. — more than seven hours later — nothing had been done. We had nowhere safe for our kids to rest. We spent hours sitting in the lobby begging for help while being told it was “being handled.” A senior leader later promised follow-up. No one ever contacted us. Disney markets itself on family care, safety, and service. Our experience reflected none of those. What should have been a special family trip was replaced with stress, lost time, and concerns about our children’s safety. We were left to manage a sanitation issue involving our child’s bed entirely on our own. This review is here because internal channels failed. Families deserve to know.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a truly exceptional Disney experience. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere is immersive, relaxing, and impeccably themed. The resort feels like a tropical escape while still offering all the convenience and magic Disney is known for. The service is outstanding—cast members are friendly, attentive, and consistently go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. The grounds are beautiful, transportation options are seamless, and the dining options are excellent. Watching the fireworks from the resort is an unforgettable bonus. This resort perfectly balances luxury, comfort, and Disney magic. Highly recommended for anyone looking to elevate their Disney stay.

I cannot say enough amazing things about the Polynesian. It felt so perfect; the rooms, ambiance, dining, pools, location. The service was top-tier, people were so warm and helpful. The tiki torches, outdoor children’s activities, movies, etc. made it so fun and welcoming to be outside with everyone. The dining was delicious. Hawaii is my favorite place, and this really made us feel like we were there, including the dole whip station. The location was also along the monorail, making it very easy to get to magic kingdom, Epcot, and the neighboring resorts to try other dining options. We could also view the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the tower. We really enjoyed our week-long stay!!

Our favorite part about the Polinisian was the sand, the pool, easy access to monterail, good food for grab and go options, dole whip was amazing, lots of places to eat, island vibes, friendly staff and gift options. The room didn't have a microwave so we ate cold leftovers. The room was so fun though with the hidden Heyhey, Moana, Maui and island vibes. Quiet to stay at even with construction going on.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has seen a few changes since opening in 1971, but the tropical theme, palm trees and the spirit of the South Pacific islands is still going strong. You won’t even feel like you’re in Florida anymore if you concentrate on enjoying the overall immersive experience and island decor. This is one of Disney’s top of the line resorts with over the top indoor and outdoor ambience all the way down to the landscaping. There are so many lush trees and plants, lit up in beautiful color during the holidays and with tiki torches on fire every night of the year. From bars to cafes and sit down restaurants, they have all your meals covered. And you’re a boat or monorail ride- even a walk! - away from the famed Magic Kingdom. Accommodations may be a once in a lifetime experience if you’re lucky, but pop over for a meal or snack anytime to make it a special event.
