I would not recommend staying at the Grand Oasis Palm in Cancun July 23rd-July 27th, 2026. This resort is very outdated, the electrical outlets in our room didn’t even work. We start smelling smoke from one of the outlets and had to call the front desk. One of the most concerning experiences happened while we were in our room. Someone was walking down the hallway pushing on everyone’s doors, including ours, trying to get in. It was very unsettling and made us feel unsafe. We informed the front desk. They said they would look into, never heard anything back from them. The customer service was also very poor. Many of the employees didn’t speak English, and when we asked for help, they often seemed bothered or uninterested in assisting us. Instead of trying to help, we frequently felt like they were trying to brush us off. I appreciate Wilbur, Diego, and Francisco. They were the only employee's we came into contact with that was kind and had great service. The beach was dirty and not well maintained. If you’re an adult looking for entertainment, don’t expect much. There were little to no activities for adults, and the resort is boring. Dining was another disappointment. We had to wait 30–45 minutes in the heat almost every time just to get into the buffet, and it was extremely difficult to get reservations at the other restaurants. To make matters worse, I became sick on the last day of our stay, which completely ruined the end of our vacation. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing resort experiences I’ve had. Between the outdated rooms, poor customer service, long waits for food, lack of adult activities, dirty beach and swimming pool's, safety concerns, and ending our trip sick, I cannot recommend this resort. Save your money and choose a different hotel.

We stayed at this resort twice, and enjoyed our stay both times! The resort and the amenities are beautiful; very clean and well kept. The room needs improvement and remodeling, but it was clean and comfortable. Many different restaurants to choose from, serving variety of food - most were fantastic with friendly staff. Sushi restaurant by the pool was amazing; it gets overcrowded for lunch but the wait was well worth it!! The highlight was supervised kids area with friendly, english speaking staff, so that we could take s few moments for ourselves and enjoy the adults only amenities. Our kids enjoyed the entertainment and activities at the kids club and the resort! The hotel is in a great location too, we ordered uber and explored the city, which was short drive from the hotel.

Horrible experience!!! To start, I'm not coming here expecting luxury! I'm just expecting the minimum to have fun and feel you are on vacation! Some previous reviews mentioned the hotel is outdated, and needs renovations... That didn't bother me at all. Negatives that bothered me: 1. There are very very few water beds around the swimming pool area, and all the guests know that! So everyone at 8, am comes down from their rooms to put towels or personal items on some beds to reserve them!! If you come after 9 am, they are all gone!!! And btw...water beds are racked overnight without being cleaned! So on the morning, they are still dirty if you are lucky to reserve one or two!!! 2. The food is absolutely the same every single day... Nothing changes, like ever!!! Only food I enjoyed was the fruits!!! 3. No proper hygiene!! I don't know what I ate, but on my second day I woke up with severe Food Poisoning, possibly salmonella or Norovirus .... And it lasted for 5 days... I don't get food poisoning ever!!! And I usually eat street food from everywhere including Cancun DT and Mexico City, etc... And I told Customer Service, instead of apologizing, they said you can see the resort doctor, but you have to pay for it!!! What an attitude!!!!! 4. Cups are washed with some questionable water with sanitizer before they pour ur drinks, and not dried properly..so ur drinking tequilla with some sanitizer... 5. They have icecream in the a la carte restaurants for dinner, but not in the buffets!!!! 6. Pool Is always dirty, soon much garbage in there and I don't think water is ever cleaned or treated!!! Maybe once a month or so!!!! 7. Washrooms are not everywhere..you have to go inside the hotel to find one... 8. Hotel advertise many a la carte restaurants, but most of them are access only to the neighboring resort... Not to this one... This one has 3 a la carte, only Maki Taco is worth a try...rest are less than mediocre...

We had a good overall stay at this hotel during our vacation. The location was convenient, and we really enjoyed the beautiful beach as well as the variety of food options available. That said, the bar and drink selection could definitely be improved. Also, there was an annoying noise coming from the air conditioning system in our room. However, after we reported the issue, the staff were very helpful and promptly moved us to another room, which we appreciated. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few areas that could be better.

Resort was fantastic. Food was Excellent, but the most important thing for us was this guys that were taking care of the beach activities. They have an amazing crew which kept our kids busy all day , so polite and respectful making sure all kids left the beach with a big smile.
