When I’d visited Disneyworld long long ago it seemed to me that the Boardwalk area was hopping and felt like a decently upscale adult option for a resort stay. However, at our recent stay the Boardwalk didn’t have that feeling, not much going on day or night and while the place was maintained well it felt a bit basic. We chose the resort for its proximity to particular parks and enjoyed the walkability to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and when we needed the bus to hit Magic Kingdom and Animal Park it wasn’t too packed and the trips were short and easy. As for our room, clean, very basic, fairly small, with a decent sized balcony. The mattresses weren’t too bad at all, not overly firm. Appreciated that they provided thinner feather pillows too, not just thick stuffed foam. Easy check in/out. With the app you can go straight to your room and unlock your door…check out on the tv or app. I would’ve enjoyed more food options nearby, but we did eat -and order using the app- at the deli as well as the Italian restaurant on the Boardwalk and both were good. Overall we had a good stay. I would try a different resort if I returned, but Boardwalk Inn served our needs for this visit quite well.

We stayed in a studio room with 2 adults and three kids. The room had a beverage cooler (not a refrigerator) and no microwave. I swear I read a microwave on the amenities list but one was not in the room. This did not change my experience in any negative factor, just know what you are getting. A real fridge to properly cool leftovers and whatnot would be nice... The resort was beautiful and there was no lack of Disney magic (really good customer service). Access to Epcot was just a short walk and Hollywood Studios a quick boat ride or a longer walk if you are a sadist. You also technically can take the skyliner but you get on at Epcot and have to transfer at Caribbean Beach, so it's not time efficient. Despite the busy and loud atmosphere of the boardwalk, the courtyards within the resort still were quiet and peaceful, making a best of both worlds situation. Despite a great experience and nothing negative to say about the trip or resort itself, this is probably my least favorite Disney resort I've stayed in. The overall resort atmosphere felt the most like "just a hotel" compared with some of the other resorts I've stayed at. (This is my 5th or 6th deluxe resort and I've stayed at a couple moderates) It's a subjective opinion and it shouldn't sway you away especially if you have been wanting to try it.

Amazing hotel and location - walking distance to Epcot and so much to do on the Boardwalk. Will definitely stay here again. There is a lack of quick service options and coffee - only one small shop inside the hotel. This might make a difference to families with small children. We absolutely loved it.

I have stayed at the following Deluxe Resorts: Beach Club, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Polynesian. Unfortunately the only one I would not stay at again is the Boardwalk based upon my recent experience. The Disney Refillable Mug station is the size of a closet located within the public Boardwalk Deli with only one small soda station with a very unclean and crowded area with broken soda sections. The main pool (The Luna) heater was broken the entire week and was told by a lifeguard there will be a major pool refurbishment with no intent of fixing the heater until next year. Hope that is not true for future guests. There is no table or desks in the rooms. The bathroom faucet had a slow leak. There is inadequate tables within the lobby so if you want a to sit down some place and eat it's difficult. Very minimal staff checking people (only one) and no one at the concierge table for long length of time. You will find yourself going up and down stairs or elevators constantly as the lobby is on the second floor. Very difficult layout. There is extreme catering to DVC so you feel like a second class citizen if you are not a DVC member. I have actually had better service and food court for drinks etc at the value resort Pop century. Please think twice before booking a stay here as a non-DVC member. I actually took the time before I left to talk with management. I escalated it as a supervisor I first talked with was not helpful or appropriate. Management told me they are aware of the issues and many have complained before but they did validate my concerns. I told them I just want Disney to do well and provide good service to their guests. I don't have a lot of hope because this Hotel opened in 1996 and 30 years later they have not addressed these issues. I assume it's not the staff but leadership of this Hotel. It's actually the opposite at Beach Club just a 5 minute walk away. Great service there. I just like to try different places but I have moved on and will not be back to this one. Thanks again for your acknowledgment.

I will always recommend Disney's BoardWalk Resort to anyone who asks. Out of all the resorts on Disney property, I feel it offers the best combination of transportation, dining options, and overall atmosphere. The location is nearly perfect. You have multiple transportation options to reach every park short bus rides to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, plus walking paths and boats to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. With the addition of Minnie Vans, getting around Walt Disney World has never been easier. For families especially, the ability to walk or boat to two parks is a game changer and one of the biggest advantages any Disney resort can offer. When it comes to food, the BoardWalk really shines. The Pizza Window, Joe's Marvelous Margaritas, and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs create the ultimate late-night snack trifecta. In my opinion, the best pizza on Disney property is served right here at the BoardWalk. Need a drink after spending the day being the world's best parent? Stop by AbracadaBar. Not only will you find talented bartenders making great drinks, but the atmosphere is one of the most unique and immersive lounges anywhere at Walt Disney World. Need a shirt, pin, bag, snack, souvenir, or even medicine for the upset stomach that comes from a little too much popcorn and soda? Head over to the Screen Door General Store. It's easily one of the best shops on Disney property, with an incredible selection of essentials, treats, and Disney memorabilia. The BoardWalk is the best, and anyone who argues otherwise has never returned there at the end of a long Disney day. After 40,000 steps, pushing a stroller with a sleeping toddler, hearing the gentle jazz music drift across the water while the string lights reflect on Crescent Lake, there's nothing quite like finding a bench and taking it all in. In the distance, you might catch the glow of fireworks lighting up the night sky. It's a kind of Disney magic that feels impossible to recreate anywhere else. That's why I'll always recommend the BoardWalk. The transportation is unbeatable, the food options are fantastic, and the atmosphere is pure Disney magic. For my family, there's simply no better place to stay.
