We just got back from our vacation last week at the Royalton Bavaro. We enjoyed our stay. We did upgrade to the Diamond Club as it seemed like many things would not be applicable if we were not. It was nice to have that help and the additional access. The Good - The majority of the staff was very friendly. Ramirez, Alex, the diamond club staff, lobby staff, room service staff all great. we felt very well taken care of. Our room was very nice and they accomodated us having our kids and making sure our room was aligned with 2 queen beds and pullout for our junior swim out room. The reservation dinners were very fun and most of the food was pretty good in those. we learned very quickly to stay away from the buffets. The hibachi grill was very fun and the kids enjoyed it. The Brazilian steakhouse and the Hunter Steakhouse had the best food while we were there. The lazy river was a lot of fun, think we got in every day. the flowrider was a good time for everyone as well and we went to the waterpark next door one of the days. The shows at night were great and they have a small casino there as well. The Bad - The beds were not great, the food was pretty bland and dry most times at the buffet, we learned to just avoid the buffet's as much as possible. many of the chef's and staff in the buffet's don't speak a ton of english (fair enough, we are in their country). The beach was not swimmable at this location 5 of the 6 days we were there due to the sargassum. the timeshare person said this was very bad, and another person told us this wasn't bad at all and it can be worse... take your pick... it was pretty significant and at one point they had a 10ft high x 20ft long pile of it waiting to be removed. I still got in one day because i wasn't going to travel half way across the world and not get in the ocean! would have been nice to be able to spend more time in the water though. All in all we had fun. would i recommend this place, certainly. The staff was amazing. Just understand this is a third world country and there are pro's and con's.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel, our Butler Ramon was incredible, anything we asked for he sorted it, from dining reservations and even when one of us felt poorly, he sorted out dinner to be sent to our room, from one of the onsite restaurants, easily contactable via WhatsApp and responds very quickly. Nothing was ever to much. Checked in on us when we were around the pool and if we see him on our travels round the hotel. Highly recommend upgrading to the Diamond club as everything is done for you. We loved the onsite entertainment, epically the Beyoncé tribute act, she rode in on a horse!!! My kids favourite was the Flowrider! Being Diamond club we got to ride it twice a day. Massive hit. Rooms were cleaned everyday and towels replenished daily if required. There is a wide variety of food and drinks on offers, the passion fruit daiquiri was my favourite! At Oceanside breakfast Buffett for diamond club the omelette guy was our fave and always smiling and happy. Oceanside was our favourite for dinner to. The beef and onions and the coconut shrimp were a hit. There is so much going on throughout the day and the staff are really friendly and there’s always prizes to be won. Would we return, yes we would!

We had a wonderful stay at Royalton Bavaro, and a big part of that experience was our butler, Albert Perez. Albert was always accessible, responsive, and genuinely eager to help. He handled our daily restaurant reservations with ease, but what truly set him apart was the way he created special moments for our family. He surprised our kids with pool floats, helped us navigate off-site excursions and airport transportation, and was always available whenever we had questions. When we accidentally broke a glass in our room, Albert immediately coordinated to have it cleaned up quickly and safely. Throughout our stay, he demonstrated a level of kindness and attentiveness that made us feel valued as guests. He never made us feel like we were a bother, no matter how small the request. Beyond Albert’s exceptional service, we were extremely impressed with the resort itself. The food quality at the restaurants was superb - the Food and Beverage Director Mayra is a true standout and one of my favorite associates at the property. You can tell she is proud and wants the guests to have good restaurant experiences. Our family is not fond of the open buffet, so we did not experience that offering. The grounds were maintained; guest rooms were clean and comfortable. Housekeeping did a great job and was very attentive. There was no shortage of activities for families and children, from the pools and beach to the water attractions (lazy river, FlowRider) and daily entertainment. We were especially impressed with the daily pool activities (foam party, DJs, massage chairs) and evening shows (i.e. Carnival and famous celebrity “experiences”). Royalton Bavaro offers something for everyone, making it an excellent choice for families looking for a fun, relaxing, and memorable vacation.

Where to start...service isn't great. The app never worked. Order room service and it never came 2x. Food is horrible. We had a butler, she was great. The swim up pools were never cleaned. They did a good job with the seaweed and trying to keep it off the beach. They didn't have any entertainment until like 9 or 10. Otherwise they just let kids run around on the stage until then. They had people trying to sell you stuff and following you around the resort, everywhere, you couldn't escape them. Our butler was nice but idk if diamond upgrade is worth it. Our "upgraded" morning buffet was mid and we just went to the main one, the linens were rough, beds hard. The spa was really nice and well priced. I had an excellent hot stone message. We had an awesome private pool, we upgraded it on top of the diamond. It was worth it, just wish it was cleaner. Communication is pretty terrible, especially knowing about the activities (app wouldn't work)...it wasn't a horrible place, but it was a 1 and done

Currently on day 3 of a much needed vacation at Royalton Bavaro and honestly everything has been perfect so far, but last night could have been a total disaster if it wasnt for Albert. I booked a super special private sunset lobster dinner on the beach for my husband, daughter, and me. We got all dressed up and went down there at 7 PM, but there was literally nothing set up and nobody around. We walked around for a half hour asking staff and nobody knew anything, and another couple was doing the same thing. We thought our night was ruined. Then walking by the pool I saw a worker with a uniform I didnt recognize, so I asked his title and he said he was a Diamond Club butler. We arent even staying in the Diamond Club so we werent his responsibility at all, but I told him what happened and he just said “come with me”. Albert literally went so far above and beyond his job description. He walked all over the resort talking to different departments trying to figure it out for us until he tracked down Samuel the Sommelier who booked it for us. Between Samuel and Albert they completely fixed the mix up and got us the beautiful beachfront dinner we planned. ⭐️Albert did not have to help us at all but he chose to and saved a really expensive and important family dinner for us. Management seriously needs to recognize Albert the butler because that is next level service.⭐️ Thank you Albert, you truly saved an unforgettable evening for our family and we will never forget your kindness. 🫶🏼😊
