Overall, we had an amazing time at this resort. We’ve stayed at multiple resorts in Mexico over the years, and this one is probably our favorite so far. There was so much to enjoy, from the atmosphere to the activities and service. We really loved the daily activities—painting a pot and a canvas were such fun and relaxing experiences. The pool area was a highlight for us, especially thanks to René, who was hands down the best pool bartender. Many times, he already had our go-to drinks made by the time we reached the bar because he recognized us walking over—such a thoughtful and memorable touch. The food was another standout. We especially enjoyed Celsius and loved the convenience of ordering directly from the cabana using the QR code every day. The ice cream shop on the kids’ side was also a big hit and perfect for an after-dinner treat. One place we would probably skip next time is the Italian restaurant, but with so many other great options, it wasn’t an issue. The only downside of our stay was related to renovations happening during our visit. One side of the pool area was a bit loud, which we didn’t mind too much. However, we were concerned that workers were scraping old paint from the outside of the building directly into the pool, which felt like a health and safety issue. In the following days, we noticed they made efforts to collect the paint pieces right away, but we still saw dry paint chips floating and sinking in the pool, which made me feel uncomfortable swimming. That said, this seems like a temporary situation due to renovations and wouldn’t be an issue otherwise. Despite this, we truly enjoyed our time at the resort and would absolutely return

We had a great stay at Paradisus. We stayed in a master suite with family concierge. Our concierge helped prep all our restaurant reservations prior to our arrival. He also surprised us with some toys for our kids and super delicious Cookie Monster cupcakes. Overall, food at the resort was great and the atmosphere was very calm which is what we were looking for. We loved the kids club and the evening activities, my kids had a lot of fun with the lion king play that happened the first night. The location is great for anyone looking to enjoy the resort and disconnect.

What a beautiful resort. Highlights: FAMILY CONCIERGE (FC) -I had an injury through no fault but my own, yet our concierge Erika went above and beyond to help me recover. She was very mindful and responsive to my needs with this unfortunate situation, and outside the accident she was also very responsive and patient with all of our small (and large haha) requests throughout our stay. Though all of the staff is kind and helpful, I found FC to be a great option, and well worth the additional charge. Lots of sweet surprises/games left for our daughter in our room made it feel very special too. PRIVATE FC BEACH -sargassum seaweed is cleared by the hardworking staff all day so the beach is clear -beautiful bathrooms right on the beach -boardwalk connects to the beach, only a minute from the resort--AMAZING that you only need to shlep the kids a few steps -bar right on the beach, also not hard to find a chair DELICIOUS FOOD -Lunch Box exclusive to FC was our go-to every morning: american style breakfast (egg white omelettes and the like) but also authentic mexican options like chilaquiles. As you wait for your order, there's also a few buffet items for when you need to serve the kids asap. ALSO right beside the private FC pool so we'd often go right after breakfast -Buffet was great, even the sashimi was quality -Reserving the restaurants through our concierge made it easy to get dinner at the variety of options--faves = Flora had great simple healthy options, Blue Agave was tasty buffet of authentic mexican options -Nespresso cafe I hit up multiple times a day for the iced latte options OTHER NOTES -Cenote trip is great--our four year old loved it. They say water is cold but I found I warmed up quickly--well worth it for the incredible cave experience. Also for those in your party who don't wish to do the water parts, there's lots of shade to sit back and watch too. -Optional family photos: we decided to do them and i'm glad we did--super quick, easy to walk to the different locations, all done in about 20 mins and we got some beautiful shots -Spa: opted for the deep tissue massage, very relaxing, beautiful facilities too -Scuba: my husband enjoyed the ease of connecting with a scuba company right in the resort--reasonable prices and they made it easy to do pickup/dropoff to maximize time in the water

We had a wonderful trip to the Paradisus Playa del Carmen during Christmas of this year. The property itself is beautiful and even though we were there during the holiday and even though the hotel was fully occupied, it didn't feel too overcrowded most of the time. You do have to get up and make sure you get your pool chairs early just like at any resort. My kids loved the waterpark and all of the nature around the property especially the coati mundis! For an All-Inclusive the food and drinks were great. There were plenty of activities day and night. One night they had a little festival night with games and food/carving stations, it was great. We used the gym a few times and the property is situated near the northern end of Playa del Carmen so I went on a couple runs into town that were nice and safe. We book through our AMEX platinum and got upgraded to a swim-out suite which was perfect and made being in the room a little easier because the kids had easy entertainment right outside the back door. Here's what made our stay extra special... The first night we arrived it was my wife's birthday, the hotel connected me with a service to set up surprise birthday balloons in our room when we arrived and a private dinner on the beach for our family. It was a birthday she will never forget! We opted for the concierge package, which was well worth it in my opinion. Our concierge Jorge made our stay unforgettable from setting us up with the right restaurant reservations, on the right days, to coordinating excursions, it was definitely the way to go. A few of the evenings that we went out to dinner we came back to our room to find little gifts for the kids and even a scavenger hunt with balloon animals, which they had so much fun with. It was such an amazing touch, one that our kids will most certainly remember forever. Jorge and his team really made this feel like a 5-star stay, I can't recommend him and this package enough if you're looking for a memorable, seamless vacation!

We had a great time in this all inclusive resort. Food is really good, bars and restaurants are everywhere including at the pool and beach. Friendly and helpful staff, superb service, safe, tranquil and exciting. A perfect place to enjoy good food and amazing drinks, relax, rest, party, swim and sunbathe. Lots of activities to choose from at extra cost, but very worth it. Perfect place for romance during latin dance and do nights, or bring whole family to enjoy kid friendly pools and playgrounds. Weddings are done here as well. Thank you, just want we needed!
