Joaquin saved our trip. We are diamond members and had booked ocean front swim up. They didn’t have our reserved room available and were indicating that a reservation is not a guarantee of a room and we would have to take a lower room for the night and move the next day. Joaquin our butler was able to negotiate an upgrade for the night to a wonderful suite. He provided amazing service throughout the week. His attention to detail and customer service is unparalleled. Love him to death. Shout outs to Carlos wish you were still in Landshark. Luis you make the best mexcal cocktails and your derive is spectacular. Erick makes the morning buffet fun. The spa is excellent. Love this resort the water aerobics and fun to end the night at Landshark. I wish you could sort out your check in service.

This resort is the BEST! I have stayed twice and both times I was treated like royalty! If you are looking for a place to have an intimate or large party for your wedding this is the spot! Raquel is an angel and the most thorough/ organized wedding planner, and the food and beverage manager (I can’t remember his name) will make sure your family is taken care of through the trip. The gourmet food and beverages served at our private events were SO amazing- we received compliments from all of our guests. The spa was also amazing- they gave me last minute services on my wedding day and the best massage I have ever had the day after my wedding. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Very clean resort. If you’re a busy body and constantly need to be doing something, this isn’t the place for you. They have activities, the entertainment staff is great but it’s not a constant party. Restaurants are great as is the main buffet. Having 24hr room service is also a bonus. Waking up in an ocean facing room was breathtaking for sure. Pools aren’t heated, by noonish they are fine. Bar tenders are salted rim are great!! Not a singles resort by any means but I would travel here solo as the vibe is chill!

Our stay was amazing, amazing service from the food, drinks to the all day activities! We stayed for Christmas & it was the best thing ever. So many great performances and we booked tours with the hotel. They were the best tours we could ever imagine. Everyday was something new. Highly recommend 💗 The staff here is amazing, thank you to our amazing house keeper, Rosario. ❤️ Shoutout to Roberto & the manager at Landshark for being the greatest host ever! Very attentive 💗

It was an alright stay. We decided to travel to Cancun for the first time and do our honeymoon at this resort, along side various excursions. We left the resort 3 times, and 2 of the times the staff seemed overly worried that we were trying to leave for our excursions. People travelling to foreign countries typically do their research and what to do in said foreign country, so we were more than comfortable leaving the resort. As other reviews said, the pools seemed unnaturally cold. I didn't expect it to be that cold given it was +30°C when we were there. I'd definitely recommend warming it if there is artificial cooling happening. As of our stay in December, there still is no beach. Maybe it's just the location and current weather not allowing for a beach at the time, but I did see neighbouring resorts that do have a beach. If a beach is a must, this place isn't for you. When it comes to restaurants, be prepared fo pretty much eat at the same 2 restaurants most of your stay. There are technically 6 spots, but 2 are reservation only and you could only eat at each once per stay it seemed like, and the other 2 were snack spots essentially. And hoping that one of them isn't closed for a private event without any notice. The Boathouse buffet was always good food and good service. Dinners always had specific theme nights. Although I think in the span of 10 days, half of those nights were Italian night. Breakfasts are pretty much the exact same everyday, so be prepared for that. Any night where they have a show at the Boathouse, there will be vendors outside when you are done dinner. With my experience, they prey on the tippy and the drunk to overpay them with whatever they convince of them. They caught me after a nice day of day drinking, and I definitely overpaid for the items I received, so lesson learnt by me. But I think if you are inviting vendors onto your property, they need to be kept in check and in line instead of ripping off easy targets at an all inclusive. The Landshark bar always had good food, but service was always spotty. Even if it wasn't busy, it wasn't always the fastest, but servers were always nice. Frank and Lola's was my favourite restaurant, food tasted real good and service was top notch. Portions seemed small as I left feeling I could eat a little more, but the whole vibe and ambience there was good and I enjoyed my time there. JWB was alright at best. Being from Alberta and being raised eating Alberta beef, I have high standards. I completely understand being in a different country with different ways to raise animals, but I could barely call what we had at this steakhouse steak. My steak was mostly scrap meat and fat, while the wife's was a steak probably ¼ inch thick that was hard to chew. Drinks were ok along with desserts. The main highlight here were our appetizers and the bread they bring out. They have a menu where you have to pay extra to eat from (ruins the all inclusive aspect in my opinion), and maybe the steaks on that menu were better, but that's not the best way to do it. I tried the cafe. Coffee was good, but the food/ snacks were alright at best. A thing to mention here, this resort gives you "points" tied to your key card bracelet you must wear while staying there. Maybe I didn't fully comprehend the point system upon arrival as it was a long day of travelling, but it seemed we could only buy specific candies and pops with it and that's it at the cafe. I never tried the 6th spot for snacks. But it seemed to close at 5pm like the bars did. We both enjoyed the spa, but it is most definitely pricey. Maybe the price here was negotiable to some degree, but we weren't aware if it was otherwise. I probably wouldn't do the spa again if it stays the same price. It turned out to be close to $500 CAD and we didn't even get a proper receipt to try and get insurance pay out from it. Although this place was acceptable for our first time in Cancun, we would find a better resort next time.
