We just finished our family holiday at Iberostar Waves Málaga Playa, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly its staff—they are incredibly warm, attentive, and helpful across the entire property. Traveling with strict dietary restrictions can often be stressful, but the team here made us feel completely safe and cared for. The kitchen staff is highly trained and precise about preventing cross-contamination. Every single dish had clear, accurate allergen information, which gave us total peace of mind. They went above and beyond to accommodate gluten-free needs—preparing delicious gluten-free pizzas, cakes, and even offering to cook separate gluten-free pasta on request. A special shout-out to the incredible team working at the grill, who were exceptionally friendly and accommodating every single day! The excellent service extended well beyond the restaurant. The staff working around the pool area and the pool bar were always welcoming, smiling, and ready to help. On top of that, our room was cleaned beautifully every single day without fail. Thank you to the entire Iberostar team for making our holiday so relaxing and memorable. We will definitely be back!

I spent one week with my teen kid. We enjoyed our stay a lot. What we like the most were hotel activities: morning aerobics, aqua-gym, life music and dancing, shooting, bingo you name it. Every day there was something nice to participate to. Also food was amazing, great selection of dishes followed by faboulous dessert table with fresh fruits, ice cream and pastry. Fantastic!

We had a great stay! The hotel is very family-friendly and perfect for kids. The pool area is really nice, and the beach is directly next to the hotel. The food was nice. We also enjoyed the evening entertainment and animation program. Probably not our last stay.

We have just returned from a week-long all-inclusive stay with my husband, mum, and 2-year-old child. The hotel is in a lovely, quiet location, with the beach around a 30 second walk away, which was beautiful. The hotel grounds were very well maintained and clean throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The food was nice overall, although it could feel a little repetitive at times. The drinks being branded was a great touch, although we didn’t feel the cocktails were as good as those at other hotels we’ve stayed in, as many were pre-made from bottles. The only part we found disappointing was that we arrived at 11:30pm on our first day, meaning we missed a full day of food and drinks included in our stay. Our return flight wasn’t until 11pm either, and although we paid extra for late check-out, our wristbands were removed at lunchtime, meaning we were no longer able to get drinks unless we paid extra. This felt a little unfair given we had missed out on the first day. Overall, we would still recommend this hotel to others. It’s a lovely, family-friendly place to stay with plenty of positives.

We visited as a couple with no children on the all inclusive package. We stayed for 5 nights. Observations ⁃ mostly Germans here. People tried speaking to us in German. We’re not German. ⁃ The hotel is on the beach front. There’s a charge for sunbeds. We did not visit. ⁃ The pool isn’t heated. This was fine for us. May not be for others. ⁃ It didn’t feel like a 4 star hotel. Positives ⁃ food was okay, various options throughout the day. The snack bar was good outside meal times with a burger buffet and sandwich options. ⁃ Wide variety of drinks options and very generous on pours ⁃ The garden of our room was very nice ⁃ The grounds of the hotel were nice and well maintained. ⁃ Underground car park was good and secure for a €15 day charge. Negatives ⁃ the aircon in the room wasn’t very good. We also requested a double bed. It was two singles pushed together. ⁃ Sunbed saving culture here very early in the morning. When we arrived at 9am to relax by the pool most of the sunbeds were gone and no one was here. ⁃ We felt the hotel is obviously designed for people with children so we wouldn’t visit again. ⁃ Mealtimes in the restaurant was are not relaxing. Lots of people rushing around. The food also got a bit repetitive ⁃ There is a nice outside bar but the service is somewhat slow and was quicker to order at the bar
