We stayed for 5 nights. Very helpful at check in. We arrived at 11:00 am and got our bracelets. We could not get into the room yet so we put our bags in the bag room. You need €2 for the lockers. They have a limited amount. You also need to give a €10 deposit for pool towels and €1 per token for a drink cup. (You can bring your own cup). The food was very good with a wide selection. We never had lunch as they have a snack bar near the pool and the kids were happy with the selection. The pools are great with slides and in the deep pool they have a morning and afternoon exercise class. They also have a shallow pool for younger children. The restaurant had themed evenings ranging from Italian, Japanese, Mexican and Spanish. They also have a free transfer to the beach In a mini bus. The driver was very friendly and she made a good effort with the children. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and hopefully will be able to go back again.

We really enjoyed our stay, and the kids absolutely loved it. Thanks to Frank and all entertainment team made it fun for adults as well as for the kids. Our room was always spotless, thanks to Seher, who took wonderful care of it throughout our stay. Her attention to detail and kindness were truly appreciated.

We are incredibly happy with Sever's service. Our room was spotless every day, and everything was cleaned with great care. She is such a kind, friendly, and lovely person. The sweetest part was that every day she surprised us with a new towel art creation on our bed. It was so creative, thoughtful, and always brought a smile to our faces. Those little touches made our holiday even more special. Thank you, Sever, for your hard work and for making our stay so memorable. We hope to see you again on our next visit!

Let me start with the only real positive of this hotel.. The reception staff, specifically Alex. The management clearly know what they're doing by having him at the front desk. He was absolutely amazing! Friendly, professional, incredibly helpful, and genuinely lovely people. They almost had us believing we were staying in a 4-star hotel! Unfortunately, that was where the positives ended. The bar staff, particularly Mariana and Laura, provided some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They were consistently rude and arrogant. We would often be left waiting to be served while they chose to serve Spanish-speaking guests who had arrived after us. There was no sense of serving customers in order, which was incredibly frustrating. All of the entertainment was in Spanish, which is completely understandable as we were in Spain. However, most of the entertainment staff spoke very little English. This wasn't a major issue for me, but it meant my son couldn't participate in most of the children's activities because he simply couldn't understand what was being said. The food was very basic and extremely bland. If you enjoy flavour, I'd recommend bringing your own seasoning. If you're staying for longer than a week, be prepared to eat out regularly, as the menu becomes very repetitive. The room was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. There wasn't enough space for two adults, one child, and two suitcases. It felt cramped, uncomfortable, and very outdated. And it certainly wasn't a room where you felt comfortable walking around barefoot. The baths were so old, the surface grips were completely worn out making it a very dangerous experience getting in and out of the shower. The walls were also paper-thin. You could hear absolutely everything.. conversations in neighbouring rooms, doors slamming, people walking through the corridors, and general noise throughout the day and night. Getting a peaceful night's sleep was almost impossible. The lifeguards around the pool were another major concern. At one point, a child appeared to be in real difficulty in the water while their parent was shouting for the lifeguard to help. Shockingly, the lifeguard didn't react, and another hotel guest had to jump into the pool to rescue the child. It was genuinely alarming to witness. There were never enough sun loungers for the number of guests. Whenever you spotted an empty one and hurried over, it was often covered in bird droppings. Many of the loungers were also broken or damaged, yet people were still forced to use them because there simply weren't enough available. Overall, giving this hotel 3 stars is extremely generous based on our experience. We ended up checking out and moving into another hotel, which was the best decision we made during our holiday. To finish on a positive note: we didn't get bitten by mosquitoes, and there were no ants to be seen! Unfortunately, there were plenty of flies instead!

Me and my family stayed at AluaSun for 10 days, we chose the hotel as it is the only hotel in Marbella with a water park for our children. Little did we know me and dad would be enjoying the water park just as much :p. The hotel did not disappoint in many ways. The service was impeccable, the staff were brilliant! And our room maid Seher was an absolute GEM! The entertainers by the pool were great. They have a kids club on most of the day so parents can have a little rest which is fantastic. Everything was just brilliant. We will definitely be coming back to the same hotel next time.
