If you choose to go all inclusive, the programme generally consists of breakfast, lunch and dinner, with one being buffet style and the rest being a la carte, served in the main restaurant. Here is an honest review: We came in late August, which is the beginning of their off-season. This was good and bad. It was not so crowded, so the lines for restraunts, food, and drinks were almost always short, or non-existent. But we were NOT TOLD it was their off-season prior to booking/purchasing all-inclusive, so we did not know that many/most of the restraunts would be closed/consolidated with eachother. Casa del Rosas was amazing. Probably some of the best Mexican food you will have here and such a great experience. Can't recommend it enough! If you do, please ensure other people have booked as well. It is such an easy way to make good friends with some of the strangers at the resort. The hospitality staff here is unmatched. The plants are well manicured. The beaches are clean. The bar tenders and all kind and friendly. The waiters are great. The check-out process was a little rough. There was no text, email, notification, or paper to let us know about the pre-check out process, or that a shuttle would not be provided back to the airport :(

The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the food exceeded our expectations throughout the resort. Our favorite dining experience was at Casa de Rosa. The food was outstanding, but what really made the evening special was the exceptional service. Fatima and Wendy were incredible hosts—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel like valued guests and ensured we had an amazing experience from start to finish. Overall, the service across the resort was excellent, and the staff truly made our vacation memorable. We would definitely recommend The Fives to anyone looking for a relaxing all-inclusive getaway in the Riviera Maya, and we look forward to returning!

We just returned from a fabulous week at the Fives. My family of 6, had 8 other family members join us for the week! My family was upgraded from a 3 bedroom residence to the 3 bedroom penthouse in building 18! It was a beautiful room! We also loved this building and it's location. We were able to see the monkeys playing in the rainforest almost every morning. My other family members has a 2 bedroom residence, and 2 - 1 bedrooms. All of the rooms were close to ours and beautiful as well. Housekeeping service was amazing as always, as well as the people who keep the fridge stocked! Shout out to the best bartender at the members pool, Jerry! He took wonderful care of the entire family all week! Our ambassadors were Renata and Andrea, who were both wonderful. They were attentive, considerate and took care of everything! They ensured everyone had reservations they wanted, including allowing all 14 of us to eat together two times to celebrate 3 birthdays. They both went above and beyond, especially Andrea, and we were so grateful to get to know them. We had wonderful services at the spa by Margot and Flor, we highly recommend both of them. The food was not as good as I remember on previous trips, however, we loved our meal at Seasons. It was a wonderful experience and the food was exceptional! My family of 6 had an in-suite dinner on our rooftop on our final evening. Our server, Daniel, and our chef, Cesar, were both top notch. The food was absolutely incredibly, easily one of the best meals of the week! It was a perfect way to end our vacation together. We have always enjoyed the Fives property and this trip was no different. I appreciate the level of service my entire family received, it was an incredible trip and I am sure we will be back!

In summary? What a place - would absolutely recommend. The hotel is amazing, very clean, great facilities and a wonderful place to forget the world for a couple of weeks. The staff are brilliant, with a special mention to Omar who literally couldn’t do enough to help us make our holiday even more special with some great trips and there to help with any questions we had. He’s brought a new meaning to FOMO. It’s now Fear of Missing Omar. The first room we had was ok, exactly what we’d paid for as a basic duluxe room for two adults and two children. However, it was a bit tired and had no view at all. We asked if we could swap and we upgraded to a one bedroom suite for $80 a night which was worth every dime, cent, penny and pound. The new room was amazing and we’d definitely book that one next time. The food and drinks were good, as others have said go earlier to avoid queues. The only slight let down was the number of sun beds around the pools, and number of tables and chairs for the evening entertainment. Just aren’t enough for the volume of people staying - and nothing gets done about the ridiculous sun-bed hoggers who put towels out at 6am and turn up for an hour later in the day. Very annoying when there aren’t enough beds in the first place. Overall, an amazing holiday with so many wonderful family memories. Would recommend without hesitation.

Overall stay was amazing. The food was delicious the service was excellent. You need to arrive to the dining area quite early to accommodate larger groups. Our favourite restaurant was Seasons and La Brasserie. Our server from the Epic Cabana location named Andrea Dominguez was very attentive and provided amazing service. She was always smiling and made us feel welcome everyday. She constantly asked us what we needed throughout the day. She deserves the recognition. Jannet Pat was also a very good server, she was quick and efficient. Cleaned our plates and cups right away. She too needs recognition for her outstanding services. Saturday, the pool area by the beach was lively compared to the other days. Better music selection much busier. Cons: We stayed in room 20105. The room itself was clean and spacious. The housecleaner maintained our room beyond our standards. A few curtains were broken so they didn’t fully shut. Our mattress was very old and worn out. We were sinking into the bed, we have back aches from it. We will get a massage when we get back home. The beach was quite rocky. The water was not very swimmable due to the high volume of sargassum. The shuttle times throughout the resort should be increased as they were always full.
