Would give zero stars if it was an option. DO NOT BOOK A STAY HERE. The hotel itself is not bad. Rooms are kept clean and the pool is great. This, however, did not make up for the rest of the negative things we experienced here. Management and employees were not properly trained at all and it shows through lack of care and responsibility. To start, if you don’t speak Spanish, it’s nearly impossible to communicate with any of the restaurant workers. I had to mention multiple times that my partner is vegetarian and yet, on three separate occasions was “accidentally” served meat. On a separate occasion, I bit into a slice of pizza that had a very sharp wood chip in it that cut the inside of my mouth and caused my tongue to start bleeding. When I brought this up with management, I was told that it was a non-issue and did not even receive an apology. It felt as if I was gaslit into thinking it was not a big deal but any proper hotel would at least give me an apology and endeavor to do something to improve the experience even slightly. Overall, the shell of this hotel is not bad, but the food and management need a full overhaul. I still have not heard back from Wyndham regarding the complaints I made, but hopefully this review can save some of you from a similar terrible experience I had here.

Upon checking in, we were warmly welcomed by Adonis Martinez, who provided extraordinary service and set a positive tone for our stay. Kelvin Mansueta De Rosario was also incredibly helpful, assisting us with our luggage during both check-in and check-out with genuine courtesy. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained — the facilities are spotless, the rooms are comfortable and well-kept, and the pools and surrounding areas are cleaned daily and in excellent condition. Every corner of the property reflects great care and attention to detail, making it a relaxing environment for families and couples alike. Several staff members went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Chef Fernando Simprian, Luis Reyes Cuevas, and Alicia Michel from the restaurants provided outstanding service and delicious food. At the buffet, Christian Ogando and Simona Frias were welcoming and attentive, and Maribel at the pool bar stood out with her excellent service and friendly attitude. However, there is room for improvement. Some of the breakfast staff, particularly those preparing omelets, seemed unapproachable and made me feel as though I was inconveniencing them when asking politely for service. Additionally, a few bartenders at the pool bar appeared disengaged and were openly discussing dissatisfaction with the hotel’s recent transition — something guests shouldn’t have to overhear. Overall, our stay was wonderful thanks to the many team members who clearly take pride in their work and the hotel’s well-maintained facilities. With more consistency across all departments, this property has the potential to deliver a truly five-star experience every time.

A fresh coat of paint alone doesn’t make a former 3-star hotel a true 5-star experience. @Wyndham: to justify the higher prices, more investment is needed in details and especially in service training. Overall, the hotel is pleasant at first sight but those touches that define a 5-star stay are still missing. For example comfortable and clean sunbeds, functional room furniture, netflix, tour options, week programm of activities in- and outside of the resort, a fruit bar at the pool. Restauranta and the sports bar are indoors despite having a beautiful terrace and beachfront, no bar or similar allows to drink and enjoy the breeze with a view. The biggest downside for me was the main restaurant. At the moment, it feels more like a canteen — very loud, so white and sterile like a dentist waiting room. The buffet does not loock inviting. its to wide. Simple improvements, like a warmer buffet layout and more comfortable seating (e.g. cushions on the metal chairs), could make a huge difference. Also the service did not let us choose the table ourselvees. I therefore almost had an argument when I wanted to sit far away from the crying children and they said this area is closed; I had to remind them that the guest can sit wherever she/he wants - especially in a 5 star... Overall a pity, because the quality of the food itself is actually good.

The people make this place even better than it already is. The service was beyond exceptional. Wandy, Luis, Alessandra, Daniella, and Edwin were fantastic!!! They made our trip truly special. The hotel was great. The food was very, very good at each restaurant. The pool was worth every penny. And, security was always guarding the beach. 5 stars all the way!!!

Came for relaxation, but my first workout was dragging my luggage uphill because the welcome crew was MIA. Pros: • Beautiful property, recently renovated and very clean. • Resort was empty, so it felt like a private getaway. Outstanding pool area. • Food was surprisingly good. • Staff was friendly and attentive everywhere we went. Cons / Things to Know: • Arrival was rough - No bellmen, no welcome drink unless you go get it yourself. The bar in the lobby is very nice but it’s dead silent. No TVs, no music, NOTHING. • Check-in vibe was extremely quiet - no energy, no music, nothing. • Room wasn’t cleaned until almost 6 PM even though we were out all day. • Dress code makes no sense: crop tops were not allowed, but full booty cheeks were roaming free. When I asked, they said the rules come from religious values as I suspected so the manager is religious but clearly appreciates a good booty moment. • Entertainment is minimal - very quiet resort; music only around the pool bar and the playlist needs help. Dominican night show was cute, but once the dancing ended the crowd dipped, so karaoke was canceled. Shows need more variety to keep people engaged. • Bathrooms (the ones I tried) have no hooks for bags/towels so my purse spent time on the floor. • Buffet missing basics (mugs, spoons, napkins). We’d ask for coffee, get the coffee, then realize we had no mug. Then no spoon. Then no napkin. It was giving “on the go” dining experience. • Some restaurants closed - I assumed due to low occupancy. • Photo services: There’s a desk, but no roaming photographers. If you want people to buy photos, you actually have to take photos of them. No? • Excursions: No one offered any. Usually they’re on you like a timeshare pitch, but here? Silence. • VIP areas: There’s a VIP/club section but no one ever explained membership or tried to offer it. Mysterious and unnecessary. • Snack bar closes early: So after the sports bar, there’s nothing to eat unless you pay $10 for room service. Wait!!! there’s more! Right before we left on Friday, a huge group checked in. And suddenly? The energy shifted, a little. Bellmen magically appeared. Drinks were being handed out at the door. Bags were being handled. Smiles everywhere so I knew the capability dod exist. We definitely did not get the same greeting which confirmed my theory that the experience depends heavily on how many guests (and what type of group) is checking in. We still enjoyed our quiet little vacation, and the resort has a lot of potential. Beautiful property, amazing staff, good food. But consistency matters. Whether there are 50 people or 500, the service, entertainment, and welcoming experience should stay the same. With a few adjustments, this place could go from a “nice stay” vibe to “we’re coming back every year” vibe.
