We recently stayed at Dreams Natura in Cancun and had a fantastic overall experience. The rooms were bright, spacious, and offered amazing views, which really set the tone for a relaxing getaway. Waking up to the ocean each morning was a highlight. If you’re considering the Preferred Club upgrade, I’d absolutely recommend it. The enhanced breakfast at Bluewater Grill alone makes it worth it — much calmer atmosphere and a noticeable step up in quality and service. A special shoutout to Javier, who was an absolute all-star. He went above and beyond helping our large group secure seats together at the pools. Service like that elevates the entire experience. Another major bonus: the resort is very close to Cancun International Airport, which makes arrival and departure incredibly easy — especially when traveling with family. Dining My favorite restaurant was the Italian — excellent food and consistently great service. That said, we didn’t have a bad meal at any of the à la carte restaurants. The buffet was decent, but compared to some of the other properties we’ve visited over the past 15 years, it didn’t quite stand out. Advice for Future Guests Bring everything you think you might need. The prices at the resort shops are outrageous — kids’ toys, Yeti cups, hygiene products, and basic essentials are all marked up significantly. Planning ahead will save you a lot of money. Overall, Dreams Natura delivers beautiful rooms, strong service, and solid dining, especially if you opt for Preferred Club. With a little preparation, it’s a great Cancun getaway.

The resort itself is nice and in a great location. The grounds are attractive and overall cleanliness was okay, though the rooms felt a bit worn and grungy for the price point. The food was disappointing overall and didn’t meet expectations. Drinks were just meh—for the cost of the package, it would be nice to have a real piña colada made fresh rather than a pre-made mix poured from a jug. Unfortunately, my husband ended up with food poisoning, which really put a damper on our stay. There are, however, some truly wonderful staff members. Daniel and Fernando were great and stood out for their friendliness and service. The pool fills up very quickly, so getting a chair can be challenging unless you go early. We also wouldn’t recommend upgrading to the Preferred Club, as there were very few noticeable differences or added value. Overall, the resort has potential, but the food, drink quality, room condition, and overall value didn’t justify the price for us.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel's front-of-house staff has little regard for guest experience. At check-in, rather than walking us through the paperwork, the front desk attendant berated us simply for taking the time to read what we were being asked to sign. We ended up leaving for a different hotel given the warning signs but had to return for a wedding celebration we were attending. Getting onto the property was a hassle and unfortunately, the hotel seemed to have wanted to punish us for choosing not to deal with their poor service. Everyone at the front of house seemed to have been briefed that we left from the bellmen to the front desk. Instead of inquiring about why we did not want to stay on their property, staff repeatedly demanded payment without offering any explanation of what the charges were for or why they were being applied. The entire interaction felt less like hospitality and more like an attempt to extract money from guests who didn't know better. I have stayed at many resorts and have never encountered this complete lack of manners and poor service from a front-of-house team. The communication is dismissive, the attitude is unwelcoming, and the lack of transparency around billing is deeply concerning. For a property at this price point, there are far better options in the area that will treat you like a valued guest rather than a transaction. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our stay at Dreams Natura was exceptional. Beautiful room, great layout of the resort and easy to get around. The staff puts so much care into pruning the vegetation and cleaning the grounds every single morning. The meals were excellent and there was something that everyone in my family could enjoy (and there were 16 of us!). The app was very useful and easy to navigate. We enjoyed every restaurant. Every staff member on the premises is so kind and accommodating to every need you may have. The staff made our experience so special and enjoyable! It was my partner's birthday the day after we arrived, and after asking if they could surprise him with a birthday banner on our door, they were so quick to come to our room. My partner was in the room and the staff member was perfectly sneaky to help me surprise him with the banner! They also left a slice of birthday cake in the room the next day and he loved it. Drisdey on the entertainment team was so kind and had us excited to try the classes and lessons each day. It was comforting to have her at each class as a familiar face! Every day, she would visit our cabana by the pool and mention the activities of the day. She brings an energy that makes you want to join every time! She was kind, funny and we appreciated the joy she brought to each lesson. Omar the sommelier was very knowledgeable, kind and humorously entertaining in the tequila tasting we attended. We enjoyed learning how to properly taste tequila and try different kinds, including mezcal. It was lovely to receive a little taste of different foods that were paired with specific tequilas. After the lesson, we saw Omar around the resort and it was lovely to say hello and see what he's up to. Martin the ceviche chef provided an excellent class and made us very eager to visit the Oceana restaurant (which quickly became my favourite restaurant experience.) His octopus ceviche and tuna ceviche are incredible. You can't go wrong ordering any type of ceviche on the menu! The lesson was informative, full of good humour, and delicious. I brought my little cousin who enjoyed being able to create a dish she could share with everyone back at our cabana. The staff put our ceviche creation onto a new dish so that we could take it to share with our family back at the poolside. Miguel the bartender at Desires provided an extremely informational lesson on creating margaritas. I was called up to the bar cart to test my knowledge and it was so much fun to create a beverage for everyone to taste and rate. Roberto at Bordeaux restaurant was incredibly humorous in a very tasteful and polite manner. He brought class to our table with his personality and made everyone feel cared for. He was patient with my family. He refilled our beverages at the perfect times and made suggestions when requested. The food was exceptional! Santiago at World Cafe would greet us every morning with a big smile and we shared a bit of an inside joke all week about cactus leaves after my partner mistook them for green beans. He made us laugh and it was always an excellent way to start the day. He memorized our usual drink requests each morning. We appreciated that he recognized us each day and knew what we would ask for. Estephanie served drinks to our cabana by the poolside the first day and she was so wonderful. We spent the first day in the pool for almost the whole day and she was very attentive, funny and personable. The caretaker of the hawk at the resort that helps control the presence of the grackles was extremely kind, informative and generous in letting us spend time with him and his bird. I experienced so much joy from spending time with these two and learning about their job, their relationship and history. One of my favourite experiences at the resort! Gregorio at the Himitsu restaurant provided us a wonderful experience at the Hibachi area. Very entertaining and delicious meal! Thank you to all staff who helped create such memorable experiences during our trip.

A Review from a pregnant mama with food allergies: My hubby and I just got back from our baby moon here in July 2026. Weather wise it was hot but the sea breeze and shade can make it manageable. It's sargassum season though, so don't expect much beach time. The resort I think did a good job at trying to pick it up, but it's just a lot! There's plenty of pools though, so we spent our time there. Location: Only 20 minutes from the airport so not bad. It's in Riviera Maya (south of Cancun) so more secluded than the hotel zone and 35ish minutes from downtown Cancun. Not super convenient if you plan to leave the resort to get around but good if you just want to relax and be away from the party scene! Cleanliness: The grounds were overall well-kept, pools were clean too! We did see a roach and had some issues with sand flies in the evenings (another seasonal issue with the sargassum). There was also some mold growth in the shower incase you're highly sensitive, but you can tell they clean often to try to manage it, it's just really humid. Food: Overall the food was pretty average. There were a lot of variety of restaurants to choose from for dinner which is great. If you're preferred you get access to Bluewater Grill which I really enjoyed. Bourdeux & Hibachi was by far the best dinner! I am Gluten & dairy free. Anytime I checked into a restaurant, buffet or called room service they asked me if I had dietary restrictions which was nice, however, most of the time it didn't feel like they did much with that information save for the dinner restaurants. Hibachi has gluten free soy sauce. They did their best, but they don't have a lot of alternatives, most dishes have one or the other (dairy was by far the hardest to avoid). They have some gluten free bread that you have to request. It is kept separate in the back. Most of my gluten/dairy free options were meat, veggies, & rice. The signs at the buffet and menus had allergen markers, though sometimes they was nothing noted or I couldn't tell how accurate they were so I also double checked with staff. The chips are fried in a shared fryer I learned from my awesome waiter at Bluewater Grill who was VERY attentive which I appreciated. There wasn't a single dessert on property I could have (there were a couple of GF options but not DF). Note to management: A vegan sorbet or gluten free vegan cookie would be a nice start! ;) If you have a kiddo with allergies I feel like this resort really could be hard depending on how picky they are. They have chicken nuggets, pizza, pasta and burgers available for the kiddos at most places. Did not see a gluten free pasta, pizza, pancake or cereal option - though I did not ask. Service: The staff was all very friendly and helpful. We tipped all of our waiters, servers, room service etc. Families: There's tons of families at this resort, it's very kid-friendly. Most of the activities I felt like were tailored toward kiddos. The lazy river and slides are also a lot of fun and they have a shallow pool the younger kids really liked. Floats are allowed so def pack some. There is NOT an adults only pool. Activities: They had beach volleyball and soccer and some little things here and there for the kids. A foam party one of the days and live music pretty much every night! Spa: The spa is very nice! My hubby got a massage and I got a facial. Unfortunately there isn't much options they have for pregnant women. Other things to note: I highly recommend packing your sunscreen, aloe, meds etc. it's worth the cost of the checked bag because the store prices are outrageous. Also bring your own snacks, there's not a lot available at the store on property either.
