My wife and I had a blast on this trip. The staff is truly amazing. They take care fo you. They get to know you and by the end of the trip you feel like family. One playmaker especially, Chicken, was always making sure we were having fun. He would check up on us and make us feel at home. He was involved in all the games and really cares about what he does. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our week at Desire Pearl. The staff are the ones who make this resort what it is. Especially the play makers April and Adolpho. The playmakers work so hard, are amazingly friendly, and keep the energy going. The restaurant staff are also fantastic. The food at the restaurant was ok. I’d say a bit above average for an all inclusive. But at this price point I think it should be a bit better. We are a lifestyle couple and that’s what we came for. The famous hot tub area was a pretty sexy atmosphere. We took full advantage of the clothing optional atmosphere and the hot tub area where you can openly play. We met some great people during our week there. But I’d say the age range was a bit high for us (She’s 42 and I’m 51). We met some people our age but most were a bit older. The reason I only gave 3 stars are as follows: The resort is quite old and the rooms are pretty dated. They told us that they will be doing an update soon but that obviously wasn’t any consolation for when we were there. Dated but comfortable. Not very good interior room design. We expected something kind of sexy but it wasn’t. One of the chairs was covered in mould. I’d say the thing that we didn’t like the most was the overly aggressive sales people. Sitting by the pool we were regularly visited by staff trying to sell us massages (of which we got one. An erotic massage. And it was great), and especially trying to get us to become members. We agreed to sit for an hour to hear their sales pitch for membership and they gave us a free pass to visit their sister resort Riviera Maya. That resort is much newer, nicer, and had a younger more playful crowd. The hour sales pitch turned into 2 hours. And when we decided we weren’t interested in membership the sales person visibly was upset and her kind and polite demeanor changed and she said goodbye. We’ve stayed at lifestyle resorts in Europe before and one of the things we liked there was its horizontal social structure. Everyone was generally on the same playing field and you didn’t know who was rich and who was not. At Desire Pearl they give members preferential seating at the pool. And even give them different colored towels and bracelets. That aspect didn’t seem particularly welcoming. There was a woman whose job was to talk to guests about their experience at the resort. She was friendly but always stayed and lingered and asked far too many questions to the point that my partner told her that she talked too much and we just wanted to relax by the pool. And even then she still kept talking. I’m pretty sure the intention was to make us happy and be able to sell memberships but it became intrusive. We understand that some of the staff works on commission so that’s why they were pushing sales so heavily. It felt like some staff were pretty desperate to make sales and they made us feel uncomfortable. To be clear we had an amazing time. But I think we’d rather go to Europe in the future for our lifestyle vacations.

Desire pearl is a amazing experience. The team is really special and professional, we went to other resort all inclusive, but was bigger and the team are not so professional in the drinks and attention No need a menu because the guys and girls was creative and made incredible deliverys related to drinks. The menu of alcohol is very complete A small place that makes the experience more confort and with proximity. The red jacuzzi is perfect The beach was with sagarzo, this way we don't enjoy to much, but inside the place is very beautiful with a great view and garden. We have a upgrade of your room and it was huge, with hottub, two bathrooms, a great room and bedroom, also a beautiful view to the ocean and pool. The playmaker team was very great. April adopt us to the games and as amazing. Also Miguel and Jess and all the team from pool and jacuzzi. Antonio too. The days are very funny, every actives and party's. The food was excellent to, specially on suki was really good, also the concierge (a polish girl) and the reception from Angel. The naked vibes is very natural and fun, people are very respectful and open to friendship. We have a great time in there. The gym could have more types of machines to leg. But work anyway. Just one point: one time dancing in the pool a guy was without the protection in the camera and apparently appoint to us, I hope that was just a impression, but is important the team be attention in this type of behavior. The discretion is very important to everybody there. We hope come back. When you arrive and people say that is the 8 time in there you don't understand immediately, but after pass two days there, make a lot of sense and we wish came back and stay more time. We had an amazing time at desire pearl! The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Playmaker Chicken made my fiancé and I feel comfortable during our stay and encouraged us to play games at the pool. Our butler service with Erick and Irvin made our stay even smoother. Definitely a relaxed vibe if you are new to the environment. If you enjoy your stay, I recommend you sign up for the membership because you will get more for what you pay for.

We recently stayed at the resort and wanted to share honest feedback in hopes it helps improve the guest experience. I originally submitted this through their post‑stay survey on 3/9 and again on 3/12, but as of 3/25 we still haven’t received a response. To start with the positives: The bellman staff were warm and welcoming, and several employees truly stood out throughout our stay. Orlando, our waiter at both Suki and Pearl, provided the best service we’ve experienced anywhere. Rosemberg and Sulle at the Jacuzzi bar were also fantastic—friendly, attentive, and a highlight of our trip. The groundskeepers were equally kind and always greeted us with a smile. We also really appreciated the bracelet-style room key; it was convenient and a great feature. Unfortunately, several issues impacted our overall stay. Upon entering our room, there was an immediate musty/moldy smell that later transferred to our luggage and belongings. Our safe malfunctioned on the first night and required multiple staff members to pry it open and replace it. We also experienced ongoing problems with the room door—sometimes needing several attempts before it would unlock. A major concern was the construction happening directly above our room. Workers started around 7 a.m. every day and continued late into the evening, making it difficult to rest or relax in the room. This level of noise during an active stay was extremely disruptive. We also felt that some of the resort’s internal staff used high‑pressure tactics when offering services or promotions, even after we said we were not interested. It became uncomfortable and affected our ability to fully enjoy our time. Food-wise, dinners were generally good, and the service at restaurants and bars was excellent. However, breakfast and lunch were disappointing, mostly buffet-style with limited flavor and few non-buffet options. A few additional areas could use improvement: – The room lighting was left extremely dim after a special setup and wasn’t reset, making the room dark for the rest of our stay. – The shower design was not very functional and made basic use difficult, especially for taller guests. – The ocean was inaccessible due to heavy seaweed, which we understand can’t be controlled, but the large build-up along the beach made the area hard to enjoy. – More daytime activities or classes outside the pool area would add a lot to the overall experience. There were definitely bright spots thanks to the exceptional staff, but several issues—including room conditions, construction noise, and high‑pressure interactions—made our stay less relaxing than we hoped. We’re sharing this in the spirit of helping improve future guest experiences.
