We had an amazing two-day, three-night stay at this hotel and truly have no complaints. The staff was incredible and super helpful. There were many activities to do throughout the week. The property was spotless, and they beautifully decorated room with fresh flowers and fruit. Not to mention the super comfortable robes, which made the experience even better. The balcony view was breathtaking every morning, and the food was delicious. Everyone we met was kind, welcoming, and full of great energy. This was our first time in the DR, and choosing this hotel was the best decision we could’ve made. A special thank you to Angel & Jose from the Thalassa restaurant , Luis, Yaris, Elfanso, and Angel at the service desk for making our stay unforgettable. We had an overall phenomenal experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Anyuli has been the best! We came here to celebrate our first anniversary and enjoyed it but it was even more special with just a simple mention of the date of the anniversary… Anyuli took it into his own hands to take care of my husband and us. He set up the most special anniversary dinner for us when we honestly were not expecting anything. He is very kind, attentive and fun! He deserves a raise because his hospitality is out of this world. My husband and I have enjoyed all the staff but he is a stand out employee!

The balcony view every morning was breathtaking, the food was delicious. Everything felt peaceful, safe, and so well maintained. We loved all the activities available, there was always something fun to do. Snorkeling was one of our favorite experiences, and the nightlife was amazing with great music and such a lively atmosphere. Whether we were by the pool, exploring the grounds, or relaxing at the beach, everything was smooth, relaxing, and memorable. This was our first time in the DR, and choosing this hotel was the best decision we could’ve made. We had an overall phenomenal experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone. I recently stayed at Catalonia Royal Bavaro and was truly impressed by the beautiful surroundings, excellent views, and delicious food. The property itself has much to offer and creates a relaxing atmosphere. However, my experience was negatively impacted by the customer service. On our first day, we were invited to what was described as a breakfast in the VIP lounge, only to discover it was a two-hour timeshare presentation, which we were not informed about beforehand. It was disappointing to see how the offer went from a $30,000 "Gold Package" to $1,000, which raised concerns about transparency. After we declined the offer, the treatment we received noticeably changed. It felt as though service quality was tied to spending extra money, which took away from the overall experience. While the resort has many great qualities, I hope management places more emphasis on consistent and respectful customer service for all guests, regardless of additional purchases. In addition. I never received the room service I ordered. When I called the front desk to ask about it, I was hung up on twice with no apology or acknowledgment of the issue. The staff member seemed completely disinterested in helping or listening. I am very disappointed with the customer service — definitely not what I expected. I was expected to give a 5 star rating while they stood over me while I did it.

Lucy Martinez and Leandry offered excellent service for myself and my fiancé. When requested they fetched gluten free bread from the main restaurant, and checked everything was okay afterwards. Lucy M has been here for breakfast everyday of our 10 night holiday and always greets us with a smile! We hope she gets some down time to herself (or a raise)! Christian & Morgan
