We had an exceptional stay at the Westgate New York Grand Central! The hotel is ideally located, perfectly situated for exploring New York. Everything is easily accessible on foot or by public transport, making our stay even more enjoyable. The staff is truly outstanding: always attentive, smiling, and extremely efficient. Every request was handled promptly and with great professionalism. We felt welcomed and valued from beginning to end. The room was comfortable, clean, and very pleasant after long days exploring the city. We highly recommend this hotel and will gladly return on our next trip to New York!

Hotel has charm. Service is even better. Christina at check-in was perfect 24 hours. Security got a chance to learn about the history of the hotel from Peter. Fantastic place to stay when you are on the lower east side. Also great espresso and coffee in room. Tony in house keeping made it spotless! Michael and Tony made for a great check out. Highly recommend.

Staff are lovely and very kind. I did find some minor issues with the room itself, mainly with the bathroom. There was hair in the drain when we checked in and also maybe small spots of mold on the wall? I noticed there wasn't good ventilation in the bathroom so this may have been the cause. There was also no overhead lights in the room so it was a bit dark even with all the lamps on, etc. With the size of the room, the tv looked quite small, but we aren't in the room often so this isn't a big issue. Otherwise, the room was very spacious for two people (Luxe King), and we quite enjoyed it. Location wise, we always like to book somewhere a bit away from the chaos. It is about a 20 minute walk from Times Square and 9 minutes from the closest subway entrance. We were using the subway very often during our stay so this added up, so please keep that in mind if you plan to travel around. Overall, other than little things with the room, we enjoyed our stay very much and would book again.

It was a great place but the lack of service provided by the bartender was horrible and ruined our entire experience. First morning it was as if he didn’t want to sell us a muffin for my son and asked if we had a voucher. I said no I have cash and it was as if it was an inconvenience to him. Secondly on the 3rd night We had leftover pizza from Joe’s ($80 pie) and I wanted to warm some slices for my family. The area to purchase food was closed off along with access to the two microwaves. I asked the front desk if we could use them but they advised the bartender would be putting one out shortly. My son and I waited for 40 min and finally asked the bartender (who only had 2 patrons) for an update. He said he would get to it. I waited 20 more minutes within eyesight of the bar before going back to my room with cold food. I called the front desk to ask for a courtesy call when the microwave was available. They apologized and said that a microwave was just placed out for use. It was extremely frustrating as it was my son’s Birthday and we had to spend the last hour and a half of it waiting around for a microwave.

Two grandmothers sharing a city we love with our 10 and 12 yr old grandchildren were very pleased with WestGate NYC. The hotel has been recently renovated and it shows! Everyone on staff was helpful, engaged, friendly, warm and welcoming. Rooms were impecable and from furnishings to linens all very good quality. Matresses excellent, pillows quite comfortable. The floor we were in was very quiet even as we were near the elevators. We rested soundly and comfortably. The location of the hotel was away from the high traffic / density tourist areas but only a short walk to reach all the places we were interested in exploring. Central Station is very near by. A couple of small local restaurants were good to get us started each morning. We had a very enjoyable trip and were very pleased with these accommodations. Our only wish: that our rooms could have been connected to each other for easier interaction at the end of each day.
