We got the room with 2 queen beds. It has space for the beds and not much else. Bathroom is nice. We got continental breakfast included (1 coffee, 1 pastry, 1 whole fruit), not the best but manageable. People cleaning the rooms are very nice and helpful. People in the front desks and breakfast service seem to be set on proving the rude new yorker stereotype. The location however, is hard to beat. All in all, if you want to be in a central location for tourism it is a very good place to be.

The location of the hotel is amazing, and the employees were friendly and helpful. There is a bar with live music past the lobby, and 2 new express elevators. When coming back down to the lobby I noticed I had to wait 1-3 minutes. The rooms are a little bit older, but they are definitely sufficient! Note that they run on a old AC system so they only have cool in the summer and only heating in the winter. Housekeeping came daily and was great. There is also an ice machine on each floor and a fitness center as well.

Disappointing Stay – Communication, Service and Guest Safety Concerns Unfortunately, our stay at Park Central Hotel was quite disappointing. We were a family of four, and from the beginning of our stay, we experienced several issues with communication, service, and coordination between the hotel staff. At check-in, complimentary toothbrushes, laundry bags, towels, shower cap and clothes hangers were not provided. As I had forgotten to pack toothbrushes, I contacted reception and politely requested three complimentary toothbrushes. I was told that housekeeping would bring them to our room. However, housekeeping initially brought only one toothbrush. After I explained that I had requested three, I was told that reception had instructed them to provide only one. After further checking, another toothbrush was eventually brought to us. We also requested four laundry bags but were provided with only two small plastic bags. The most concerning incident occurred later that night. I called reception to request some clothes hangers and was told that they were being collected and would be brought to our room. After waiting approximately 20 minutes, I called reception again. I was told that the staff were still collecting the hangers and was asked not to put up the "Do Not Disturb" sign so they could assist us. We waited for another 30 minutes, but no one came. As it was already around 10:30 pm, we eventually went to sleep. Then, at approximately 2:30 am, someone knocked on our hotel room door. When I opened the door, I saw a person wearing a mask who told me that reception had informed him that our TV needed to be repaired. I explained that we had requested clothes hangers, not a TV repair. He then asked me to contact reception and let them know that he had come to assist with the TV. This incident was particularly concerning and made us uncomfortable. From a guest's perspective, having an unknown person arrive at our room at 2:30 am claiming to be there to repair a TV raises genuine concerns about safety and security. It was especially confusing because we had never reported a problem with the TV. We feel that maintenance or room-service requests should be clearly communicated and that visits to guest rooms late at night should be handled with appropriate caution and verification. In addition to these service issues, the hotel itself appears quite dated. The furniture is old, the rooms feel cramped for a family of four, and we noticed that there was no exhaust fan, which affected the overall comfort of the room. While we understand that the hotel may be an older property, better maintenance and some improvements to the facilities would make a significant difference to the guest experience. We appreciate that misunderstandings can happen, and we hope the hotel management takes this feedback constructively. In particular, we believe there is room for improvement in communication between reception and housekeeping, follow-up on guest requests, room facilities, and procedures for approaching guest rooms late at night. Most importantly, guest safety and security should always be a priority. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we were disappointed with the level of customer service and overall comfort during our stay. We hope management will take these concerns seriously and use this feedback to improve the experience for future guests.

Overall pleasant experience at this hotel. All the staff were friendly and cooperative. Comfortable beds with multiple lamps within room; personally I prefer a more well-lit room. The rooms were in pretty high demand, so it is recommended to book ahead of time. The first room we were given had a scent of mildew in the bathroom. We changed rooms the next day and there was no problem with our new room. It is in pretty close proximity to central park and many other nice tourist attractions such as Time Square and the Empire State Building. Also there is a kind man at the entrance of the hotel who can help you call a taxi whenever you need one!

We had a great stay at Park Central Hotel New York! The location is definitely one of its biggest perks. It’s very close to Central Park, Times Square, shopping, and tons of restaurants. It’s also really easy to get around from the hotel, whether you’re taking the subway, grabbing a taxi, or calling an Uber. The hotel lounge is a nice area to hang out, and every employee we interacted with was incredibly friendly—from reception and the bell staff to the doormen and housekeeping. We stayed on the 10th floor and had a decent view overlooking the street. Despite being in such a busy part of the city, it wasn’t too loud at night and we had no issues sleeping. The rooms are a little outdated and could probably use some updating, and our TV glitched quite a bit during the stay. Those were relatively minor issues for us, though. Overall, we had a great stay and really enjoyed the convenient location and friendly service. I’d definitely recommend it if you want to be centrally located while visiting NYC!
