★★★★★ We had a great stay at Hotel Edison. While the building has a classic and historic feel, it is well maintained and very comfortable. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent. The location is simply unbeatable. Being right in Times Square meant that everything was within walking distance, including many of New York’s most famous attractions, restaurants, and subway connections. If we return to New York in the future, we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an excellent location and a comfortable stay in the heart of the city.

I’m writing a comment on the behalf of my parents who stayed in your hotel this week. My parents do not speak English and at first they were very well treated until the end of the stay. They needed help to understand where the shuttle will pick them up, as they should have been picked up from the hotel. My mum was begging the front desk to take the call she was on, as she could not understand properly. The person Marco, Spanish and French speaking, who literally told them he will not help them if they don’t ask him to call a taxi. How dare you? How could you make people that uncomfortable, and thanks to the security guard who spoke French they had been helped after 15 min of stress. They tried to do everything in English with the little they have, can you understand that not everyone have the possibility to learn or to be taught English. They had a very great stay and they loved it, it has been wonderful but the last event is just awful. Treating people like that ?? you should be ashamed of yourself. Someone is asking you for help, you are at the front desk, they are clients. I will not recommend this hotel if nothing is addressed to that person.

We loved our stay, from the moment we stepped to the desk to check in to the moment we checked out, everything was top notch! Jenn at the front desk was amazing and went over and above to make sure we had the best room and service possible, she was so informative, friendly and accommodating and her amazing service was so much appreciated! The lobby staff are very friendly and make sure to ask for proof of room key when you enter the elevator area, as well as helped us with the best option to return to the Newark Airport. The room was extremely comfortable and cleaned every day. All the restaurants served delicious food and the breakfast vouchers were fantastic. We had a great time when we visited the Rum Bar as well. The location was perfect for getting around to the different areas and attractions we wanted to see. I would 100% recommend this hotel and would stay there again if we take another trip to NYC.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights, from July 6th to July 9th, and I must say there are many positives. First and foremost, the location is unbeatable, just 10 meters from Times Square. The room was beautiful and spacious, equipped with a safe, and the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. The lobby is huge, which easily handles large groups of people. I also appreciated the lightning-fast elevators and the excellent security measures in place when entering and exiting the building. The breakfast was very good, and the staff at the bar were fantastic—it was great hearing them sing in the evenings. The price point is fair for the area. However, there were a few negative aspects that—while manageable—really should have been handled better: - Check-in experience: My partner and I both work in the hospitality industry, and I have never experienced such a poor check-in. We were simply handed our documents and the key to room 802, and that was it. We had to be the ones to ask about check-out times, how breakfast worked, and general information about the hotel. - Luggage storage: We were told we could leave our luggage, but they failed to mention that the service was cash-only. It would have been professional to disclose this in advance. Instead, we were forced to go to an ATM to withdraw cash (with a $20 minimum) and ended up paying unnecessary withdrawal fees. - Amenities: I find the lack of a minibar in a 4-star hotel to be unacceptable. Overall, thank you for the service provided. It is a shame because, without these issues, this would have easily been a 5-star review. Andrea M.

Excellent location, but a very disappointing experience due to noise and poor customer service I booked and prepaid the room through Booking.com and clearly indicated that I am extremely sensitive to noise. I requested a quiet room, preferably on a high floor and facing the courtyard, away from elevators, ice machines and service areas. I arrived at around 11:00 a.m., repeated my request at reception, and was told that it would be taken into account. When I returned to check in at 5:00 p.m., however, I was given a room directly above a very noisy ventilation system. I politely asked whether it might be possible to move to a quieter room. Unfortunately, the manager and his colleague responded in a confrontational, dismissive and disrespectful manner. I was told that rooms could not be reserved in advance and that I should go to another hotel. I fully understand that special requests cannot always be guaranteed, particularly when a hotel is fully booked. However, a simple acknowledgement, apology and willingness to explore an alternative (perhaps even for the following night) would have completely changed the experience. Instead, the interaction made me feel that my comfort and concerns were of no importance. Later on, the employee checking room cards near the elevators was also unnecessarily aggressive. Fortunately, Marisela assisted us the following day and was exemplary: attentive, courteous, understanding and genuinely helpful. She deserves recognition and showed exactly what good customer service should look like. The hotel is very well located, the bed was comfortable, the towels were clean, and the housekeeping team did a good job. However, the room itself felt dated. The bedside lamps were either not working or provided almost no light, the window could not be opened, and the shower design caused water to spread across the bathroom floor. The water pressure and temperature were good, but the courtyard ventilation was far too noisy. A hotel is not only a room, it is the entire experience. Unfortunately, despite the excellent location and good housekeeping, the noise and especially the way the situation was handled made this a highly disappointing stay.
